On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…
Jimin smiled. He just knew that Yoongi would love the headphones that he bought the older man as a gift. That morning, when Jimin had noticed the snow on the ground, he had declared the day one of snowy fun for him and his boyfriend. They had played endlessly, snowball fights and snowmen making filling their day off. However, all good things must come to an end, and it was getting to be too cold outside. Yoongi was now in the kitchen, making them cocoa and getting the gingerbread they had bought while Jimin sat on their couch, holiday movies on queue with a box in his hands. “Yoongi-hyung,” he called out, dragging out the vowels a touch more than necessary. Yoongi grunted in response. “Hurry up or I'll start the movie without you.” In less than sixty seconds, Jimin saw his boyfriend trying to balance two hot drinks, a plate of cookies, and a small box.
“Always so impatient, huh Jiminie?” Yoongi teased with a smile. Jimin ignored him, eyes drawn to the small package in his hands instead.
“What've you got there, hyung?”
“Later, okay? For now let's just enjoy our cookies and each other's company.” Jimin couldn't help the smile on his face.
“Okay.”
As the movies continued, the hours passed and the storm showed no signs of stopping. After finishing the third Santa Claus movie, Jimin looked at Yoongi.
“Hyung, I have something for you. If you want it that is.” Yoongi smiled.
“Of course I want it, Jiminie, it's from you.”
With that said, Jimin held out his box for Yoongi to take. Inside was a pair of well-crafted, expensive, sound enhanced headphones with decorative cat ears on the band. Yoongi smiled. “Jimin-a, these are the cutest things I've ever seen. Aside from maybe you,” he smiled. “Normally that would turn me off of them, but they look well crafted and high quality.” Yoongi turned to stare at Jimin. “I love them. Thank you so much.”
Jimin looked at Yoongi expectantly. “Oh, fine. Here.” Yoongi passed Jimin his small box.
When Jimin opened it, he gasped. Inside was a necklace, on a delicate silver chain with a small music note pendant dangling from the centre. As Jimin turned the necklace side to side, the note in the centre sparkled in the sunlight.
“Hyung, it's perfect. I love-” Jimin broke off in the middle of his sentence, right before saying his feelings for his boyfriend. Was it too early? “It. I love the gift, Yoongi-hyung.” When Jimin stopped again, he thought for a moment. He and Yoongi had known each other for a while due to being in a group together, and while it was only their first Christmas together they still had plenty of time for love to develop. Jimin decided it was enough.
“Jiminie?” Yoongi asked, noticing the determined look on his boyfriends face.
“I really do love it, hyung. And I love you.” Jimin got quiet near the end of his sentence.
“Oh, Jiminie. I love you too.”
It was with this statement that the two leaned into each other's embrace and their lips had just met when Taehyung and Hoseok came tumbling in the door from outside.
“Jiminie-hyung, can you make some cocoa?” Taehyung begged as soon as he had stepped inside. “Hobi-hyung and I can't feel our fingers.”
Jimin rose from the couch with a laugh. “Sure, Tae.” Smiling down at Yoongi, he added, “later, hyung?” to which Yoongi nodded. He was more than happy to continue where they had left off later.
