Jimin counts.
one mississippi, two mississippi, three mississippi.
Jimin counts until it’s too late to take the numbers back. he’s too lost in his majestic way of keeping track of reality. majestic, but tragic. it’s making him free from the monster in his head. because the truth is he feels trapped in numbers, in unreal stress cope. it’s a facade, it is as real as the happiness in his eyes.
it isn’t.
today, the pencils are not as the way Jimin always arrange. it irks his two hundred and two of his mississippi. so he re-arranges them. so then he misses the train, and maybe, maybe, something else. what did he miss?
Jimin counts to 1000 this time. letting his hand fall to his side, make up his mind to be tough when this all over. there is no object to his ticks, it’s just he likes the way it sounds in his mind. it’s a beauty. it’s a princess’ song.
thirty seven steps of stairs and he let all his breath he has been holding. it makes him in lack of oxygen, but it’s all good as long as it doesn’t ache his hands, his mind, his heart.
Jimin sighs and the numbers fall back to their place, but then he breathes in the leftover, it is nine thousand and sixty one. he counts again, he breathes, sighs, and counts. to the limitation of dreams, too deep in his sleep, too fake to be true. beyond everything, he counts for a name.
Jimin counts to sleep lately. he counts and counts and counts.
Jimin counts but Jungkook doesn’t come back.
