"I like rice cakes!"
It was a simple meeting in a small but colorful classroom in a kindergarten placed in a small town. It just happened in a minute, whether it's a fate or not, but they quickly become friends.
Because of rice cake.
"You...like rice cakes??" A boy with bunny teeth showing asked his newly met friend
"I do! It's delicious!" His friend replied with a smile
Jungkook, a boy who just got into a kindergarten, bring a small box full of his favorite food, rice cakes. His mother wanted him to bring it and share with his new friends. But Jungkook is a shy boy and doesn't really know how to approach new people, so he planned to eat the rice cakes alone. And on break time, Jungkook walk to the corner of his class and sit there alone with the box in his small hands.
When Jungkook was about to eat the rice cakes, a small boy with bright yellow oversized sweater approached him. Jungkook stare at him for awhile and looked at his features. Puffy cheeks and small eyes, but adorable.
"Hello!" The boy greeted
"Hello.." Jungkook tried his best not to be shy
"May I sit here with you??" The boy asked
Jungkook was a little bit surprised but nodded anyway. The boy sat across Jungkook and facing him. Jungkook is nervous everytime he have to talk with new people.
"My name is Jimin!" The boy introduced himself with a smile "Park Jimin!"
Jungkook stared again for awhile, the boy's smile somehow makes Jungkook feel a little bit less shy and relaxed. "..Jungkook" Jungkook introduced himself back "My name is Jeon Jungkook.."
Jimin smiled widely. Because of the reaction, Jungkook feels shy and quickly look down and stare at his rice cakes box. Jimin noticed and saw the box.
"What is that??" Jimin asked
"..it's rice cakes..." Jungkook replied shyly, and he putted down the box "You...could have one if you want?? Or not if you don't like it..."
"I like rice cakes!" Jimin clapped in excitement Jungkook's attention now back to Jimin's face and he's feeling warm inside because Jimin's expression is adorable.
"You...like rice cakes??" Jungkook asked
"I do! It's delicious!" Jimin replied with huge smile
Jungkook eyes quickly showing a lot of happiness, and if Jungkook can be honest, from the beginning, Jimin is happily accepted in Jungkook's circle because Jungkook sees something radiant, different, and a lot of comfort in Jimin. Now they have something in common.
"The shape of it is cute too..." Jimin added Jungkook opened the box and offer it to Jimin to take first. Jimin take one and eat it. And never in Jungkook's life, he saw a really happy person just by eating a rice cake.
"I love rice cake so much!" Jimin hummed
Seeing Jimin all happy and smiley like that, make Jungkook smile too. How Jimin's eyes dissapeared when he smiles widely and his adorable puffy cheeks lifted up, is just so funny to Jungkook that he suddenly sees Jimin like a rice cake.
Jimin suddenly take another one and shove it to Jungkook's mouth, "You should eat it too, Jungkook-ah!"
Jungkook was surprised by Jimin's action but later he chuckled. Jungkook was so thankful and happy that he shared his rice cakes with someone like Jimin. And hearing Jungkook chuckling made Jimin chuckle too. Then, it turned into small laughter by two little boys who enjoyed rice cakes in the corner of a kindergarten class.
And by that, the next day, Jungkook happily goes to the kindergarten with a small box of happiness that he always shares with Jimin.
