Jimin's eyes filled with tears as he watched the news. It seemed all Kpop sites, news channels, even the western news channels were talking about it. Min Yoongi's sudden disappearance. It wasn't like Yoongi to leave for a long time, at least, to everyone's knowledge. The room was dark, the only source of light being the TV; leaving Jimin to stay on the couch watching what everyone had to say. They were all saying the same thing, telling the same story. Not one said a single piece of information that answered one of the hundreds of questions running through Jimin's mind.
"What happened to BTS's lead rapper Suga?" The news anchor spoke, "Sources say he left to go to a nearby convenience store but never returned. He left the BTS dorms two days ago and none of the BTS members or BigHit managers seem to know what happened. They had tried contacting him, but his phone seems to be off as it quickly goes to voicemail whenever he is called. The police are investigating what is happening, we will keep you updated on this story as more information on the case is released."
With that, Jimin weakly reached for the remote and turned off the TV, leaving him in complete darkness. He sat there in silence, in darkness. He put his head in his hands, unable to think clearly. He wanted this all to be a horrible nightmare, wake up and see Yoongi in the dorms. He wanted this to all be false. He couldn't comprehend this was actually happening. He knew the situation, but something kept telling him he was dreaming, that this was not real. Everyone assured him things would be okay, but he didn't know what to believe.
"I'll find you Yoongi... I promise." Jimin said, breaking out into sobs.
The next day, Jimin decided he needed to get out of the dorms and not stay isolated in his room. He walked to the park that afternoon. He didn't care if fans had saw him, however, he didn't realize how terrible he looked. He looked tired, exhausted. The bags under his eyes said he hadn't slept in days, and he looked as if he was weak. Although a mask covered half his face, you could tell he looked unwell just from his eyes. He also looked unusually pale, which of course was concerning fans.
As Jimin sat on a bench in the middle of the park, he looked around. When he noticed some fans walk by, he smiled and waved. If they asked for a picture, he happily agreed, but you could tell he was pretending to be happy. He didn't want to worry anyone. Although he knew fans would understand him being upset, he didn't want to worry too many people. being out of the house seemed to help him feel a little better, but it didn't take away the many thoughts running through his mind. As he left the park, he noticed a doll laying in the middle of the pathway. It wasn't there when he entered the park, and he knew it had to have been dropped some time while he was with fans. He picked it up and examined it.
The doll was a baby doll. Definitely of a little boy. It wore a blue onesie and it was in a position of how a baby would be when it's being held in someone's arms to be put down for a nap. Jimin thought nothing strange of it. Looking around, he hoped to see a child crying so he can approach them and ask if they lost their doll. Of course, it seems that the owner of the doll had already left the park and was unaware of their missing doll. Jimin felt bad that someone's doll had gone missing and decided to take it back to the dorms to post something about the doll online under an account that wouldn't make it obvious it was him. He wanted the doll to be returned to it's proper owner, as it probably meant a lot to them.
Upon returning to the dorms, the managers rushed over to ask Jimin if he was alright, not even questioning why he was holding a doll. Jimin said he was tired, but fine. He questioned on why he was being asked these so suddenly, but everyone ignored Jimin's questions and rushed him inside. He figured the company wanted to keep BTS out of the public's eye until the whole Yoongi thing is over and he's safe back at the dorms.
That night, as Jimin finished setting up an account on a popular site for putting up ads to sell something. He put it up for free and described where it was found, and that he wanted no money for it. Just to return it to the child who lost their doll. As he put up the ad, he heard something. Something that sent chills down his spine. He heard a voice that sounded very similar to Yoongi's telling him he was already home. Jimin had barely slept in days, leaving him to believe he was hallucinating.
The doll was sat on a couch in Jimin's room, where he felt it'd be untouched. When Jimin went to bed that night, the doll was sitting. When he woke up the next morning, it was no longer sitting, but laying down. At first, he figured it fell over, but then he realized the legs have been messed with. Wiggling out of bed, he saw it was put in a laying position. Although Jimin had a rough night of very little sleep, he knew for a fact the doll was sitting when he went to bed. It soon clicked in his head maybe Taehyung or Jungkook saw the doll when he came back from the park and decided to try and scare him with it. As he sat the doll back up, he yelled at the other members the joke was funny, but it didn't really scare him much.
Taehyun walked in with a tooth brush in his mouth, looking at Jimin confused.
"What are you talking about?" Taehyung asked, the genuine confusion in his voice, "We never touched the doll. As far as I know, you were the last one to go to bed."
"Listen, one of you is trying to scare me by making me believe the doll is haunted, and I'm not going to fall for it." Jimin said with a small chuckle before leaving his room and heading to the kitchen for breakfast.
Taehyung shrugged, thinking someone was messing with Jimin and he didn't know about it. As he turned to leave the room, he swore he heard a voice. The voice of Yoongi. He heard it say "I miss you, Taehyung" and of course froze in his spot. Did he just hear who he thought he heard? Or was he going crazy from everything happening. When he wasn't paralyzed with fear he quickly finished brushing his teeth before rushing to Jin's room. The oldest member was still asleep, but Taehyung was too worried about what had just happened to feel it was necessary to worry about disturbing him.
Jin woke up confused, but also excited, hoping it was news about Yoongi. When Taehyung told him what he had heard, Jin at first thought he was tired and wasn't hearing thing correctly, so he asked Taehyung to repeat himself. When he was certain he had heard correctly, he had chills. He quickly sat up and asked if he was certain it was Yoongi's voice that he has heard. Taehyung swore he was certain it was Yoongi's, that there was no way it could've been anyone else's. Jin didn't know what to say. As much as he wanted to say it was from the stress of Yoongi's disappearance, he feared it was something more. He asked the younger one not to say anything about this until someone else says something about hearing Yoongi's voice.
From then on, no one told anyone else in the group they heard the voice of the lead rapper. However, not a couple days after Jimin had brought the doll home, the news reported Min Yoongi's phone was found in the park where Jimin had found the doll. This didn't spook Jimin much, he just saw it as a coincidence. However, he found it odd Yoongi's phone was found in the park, when that was nowhere near where Yoongi was going the day he disappeared. The news reported the screen was cracked, and any pictures from that day were put into the phone's trash, but not permanently deleted. There were no suspicious pictures, except for one of him in the park taking a selfie, with a strange figure in the background. The person has not yet been identified, but police believe he is related to the idol's disappearance.
"I really hope they find out who it is." Jungkook said, "I really hate being stuck in here."
"It's probably for our own safety." Jin spoke, "We already lost one member, we don't need to lose another."
As they began to talk about how the managers should give them some freedom or let them say something about the situation, they all stopped talking. All of them heard footsteps walking down the hall. All of them were sitting in the living room, so the look up to see if a manager had overheard the conversation and came over to scold them, but no one came. Everyone looked at each other with fear in their eyes. They all heard it, they all knew they heard it. It was unusual. Paranormal activity was not a thing that has happened there, so of course they were all spooked.
Everyone turned to Jimin and questioned where he got the doll. They told him he needs to get rid of it, he needed to stop whatever he let into the dorms. No one felt this was a harmful spirit, but right now they had so much going on, they didn't want to worry about a ghost in the dorms. Jimin felt bad he'd have to get rid of it, as he really wanted to do something good for someone else, but he felt he should respect his members' wishes of being able to mourn in peace. So when everyone went to bed, Jimin took down the ad for the doll, which had no replies, grabbed the doll and took him to the trash outside.
The next morning, Jungkook rushed into Jimin's room, asking him what he had done with the doll. Jimin was confused, knowing Jungkook was one who wanted it gone. He explained he threw it away in the outdoor trash can. Jungkook told him the doll was sitting in the living room with a note, which got Jimin to fully wake up quickly and scramble out of bed and see this for himself. Jungkook was right, it was in the living room, and there was a note besides it. Jimin picked up the note slowly, words unable to leave his mouth once he read it.
"Jiminie, please don't give up on your hyung." the note read.
At this point, they were for sure Jimin was being messed with, but they didn't know who was doing it. Especially at a time like this. It definitely raised concern for the managers, who said they'd dispose of the doll properly later that day. This brought comfort to everyone, as they felt they'd be freed of it for good. The doll had only brought a little anxiety, but it was enough for them to feel they were in danger. Namjoon had agreed to go with the managers to see them get rid of the doll so everyone felt they could be certain the managers kept their word. At first, the doll brought Jimin sadness, now it brought him fear, and he was probably the member who wanted it gone the most.
That evening, while everyone watched a movie, the managers came into the living room requesting for everyone's attention. They announced the police found something out, that they felt was too terrifying to release to the public; but they felt the group needed to know. One of the managers sat in a chair and explained they identified the man in Yoongi's selfie as a former staff member of BigHit. Everyone soon felt chills, anxiety, uneasiness, so many negative feelings even though the scary part had not yet been told.
"They arrested him, took him in for interrogation, hoping he'd say something that'll bring them closer to Yoongi." The manager spoke, "And this man said some disturbing things. He kept repeating, 'I did it, I did it' for a couple minutes when they asked if he saw something happen to Yoongi. He then said 'he's still alive, but not physically'."
Before the manager could continue, Hoseok interrupted, "So, Yoongi's...?"
"We're not completely sure, they still have hope he's okay." The manager answered before continuing, "We have a transcript with his exact confession here and we felt the need to read it to you hoping one of you can understand what he said."
The other manager began to read the confession, reading it slowly, but not too slow. He wanted to make every word clear, "I offered to take him back to the dorms, but instead took him to my basement. I claimed I left something there I needed to take to the dump after dropping him off. He offered to help, I gladly let him into my home. I won't go into detail, but things did happen in that basement. A doll fell from the shelf in a struggle, and when I felt his spirit needed a place to rest, I put it in the doll. I left it where I remember seeing him take the selfie, then fled. I knew someone would pick it up thinking nothing of it, but now it's probably gone. You'll never find him, he's now with someone else."
Everyone instantly turned to look at Jimin, even the managers when they felt he'd know this best. Jimin admitted to them he had found the doll in the park, but Namjoon quickly added the doll was disposed of hours ago. By now, it could be destroyed. They're only evidence of finding Yoongi was gone, and they all felt horrible. They all admitted to the strange things that happened after the doll came into the dorms, and they all felt if they paid attention to the signs, they'd help close to case of what happened to Min Yoongi. Jimin burst into tears, feeling as if he had failed his hyung.
Once everyone calmed down, they decided to head to bed early that night. Jimin was ready to flop onto his bed and sob, then pray for Yoongi's forgiveness. But when he entered his room, he was met with a terrifying sight. A sight he knew he wasn't imagining.
"Guys!" Jimin screamed, when he saw the doll sitting on his bed, looking into his eyes, and immediately saw that the doll now had Min Yoongi's eyes.
