Work Text:
Citrus, an idol unit with Ono Jyushimatsu and Kamiya Choromatsu as members. Their growing popularity made it a must for them to give vague bromance hints to their fans. Afterall, most of their fangirls are fujoshi.
Yet, at this point both of them are not sure anymore.
Is it still a facade? Or have they really--
1.
Jyushimatsu grew impatient. The grin on his face is no longer there, and both the staffs and Nakamura Karamatsu who were unlucky enough to stuck in the same studio since both Karamatsu and Jyushimatsu were chosen to form limited idol unit Citrus-Aqua ended up forming a human pile in the corner of the studio. As if that will spare them from Jyushimatsu's wrath.
“J-Jyushimaaatsu-san? C-calm down please…” Karamatsu tried to calm the other man, but the dark aura grew instead.
The click that echoed when the door opened almost made Karamatsu cries from relief. Kamiya Choromatsu walks in as if the heavy air does not bother him. “Jyushimatsu-ku--GEH!!” Choromatsu’s words cut off when Jyushimatsu tackle-hugged him. Gone is the darkness, Jyushimatsu now beams like a thousand sun.
“Choromatsu-san! I missed you!” Jyushimatsu said, his cheek rubbed to Choromatsu’s cheek, and the female staffs melted at the sight.
“G-geez, calm down. The Fruty-Citrus recording took a bit longer than expected, that’s all,” said Choromatsu. “Now let me go. By the way, do you want to stop by that ramen place on the way home?”
Jyushimatsu let go and nodded. “Ramen! Ramen!” he chanted as they left the studio, leaving the staffs and Karamatsu who are busy blessing and praising Choromatsu for saving their lives.
(Truth to be told, the ramen was just an excuse. Choromatsu wants to spend more time with Jyushimatsu, but there is no way he would admit that.
2.
The other idols were the ones who pointed it out for him. The singles Jyushimatsu wrote the lyrics for, such as Akatsuki no Wadachi and Tori no Yume, tend to talk about separation. So, one day, Choromatsu asked.
“Jyushimatsu-kun, what was in your thought when you wrote the lyrics for your singles?”
Jyushimatsu nearly choked on his yakisoba. He smiled before saying “I used to have a girlfriend, but we broke up in the end.”
Seeing Choromatsu's expression twisted into slight guilt, Jyushimatsu quickly added “I guess first love was my inspiration. That's all."
Choromatsu tilted his head. “I don’t understand,” he said. “If you can write that kind of romantic songs, why do you write songs like Otoko! Rhapsody for our singles?”
The question made Jyushimatsu grew silent, awkward smile on his face as he starts sweating bullets. Finally he used his last resort. He pulled his arm to his face in an exaggerated movement and screamed.
“AAAH CHOROMATSU-SAN LOOK AT THE TIME, ISN’T IT BROADCAST TIME FOR YOUR FAVORITE IDOL ANIME???” Jyushimatsu’s voice boomed all across the family restaurant they’re sitting in, and Choromatsu’s face grew pale as he felt stares aimed at them.
“YOU IDIOT, YOU DON’T EVEN WEAR WATCH ON THAT ARM!!!” Choromatsu screamed as he grabbed Jyushimatsu’s hand and dashed out--away from the fangirls chasing them. Jyushimatsu laughed before yanking his arm, throwing Choromatsu into the air and catching him in a bridal style embrace then proceeds to dash away as fast as he could.
(Jyushimatsu couldn’t bring himself to admit that the reason why he only wrote fun and silly songs for Citrus singles was because being with Choromatsu was so much fun, he forgot about his heartbreak. Choromatsu is way, way more important than his past.)
3.
When Jyushimatsu invited Choromatsu to see the making of his new single’s PV, Choromatsu couldn’t help but expecting weird things. Afterall, the previous PVs Jyushimatsu worked on was so extra that Choromatsu felt his ribs broke just by seeing his partner recording those PVs. Those PVs look like something more suitable for Karamatsu's image.
So, after taking previous PVs as cue, Choromatsu did not expect Jyushimatsu to appear in a suit.
Black suit that fits his figure so well, contrasting with his pale skin. Choromatsu found himself fascinated as he saw Jyushimatsu having so much fun in front of the camera. Natural smile. Flawless skin. Dance moves that improved so much since the beginning of their musical career. It was breathtaking.
For a second, Jyushimatsu glows and Choromatsu smiled proudly.
“How was it?” Jyushimatsu asked when the recording finally ended. Choromatsu looks away before saying “It’s better than the previous ones.”
“That’s all?”
“That’s all.”
(That was all he said. Afterall, he should not admit how his heart beats faster and his face heats up at the mere mention of Jyushimatsu's appearance in the PV for Mission D, right?)
4.
“So… sexy PV?”
“Sexy PV.”
Choromatsu refused to elaborate further details on his new PV, so Jyushimatsu just sit and wait at the recording site.
And as the PV recording progressed, Jyushimatsu found it harder not to blush and stare. He gulped as Choromatsu sneak a gaze at his face.
Jyushimatsu never paid attention to Choromatsu’s skin, but he couldn’t help it now that his chest and neck are quite exposed. His skin looks soft, and Jyushimatsu really wanted to scream. Did Choromatsu knew that he could turn a straight man gay when he looks like this? Did he know that everytime the peacock feather brushed against Choromatsu’s skin, Jyushimatsu is one step closer to bursting? DID HE THREW THAT LEWD GAZE AT JYUSHIMATSU ON PURPOSE?!
When the recording ends, Choromatsu sat next to Jyushimatsu. This time he is wearing a black coat over deep green shirt. “Was it good?” Choromatsu asked. Jyushimatsu stared at Choromatsu and nodded, his usual grin now closed into a simple smile.
“You’re so quiet, are you okay?”
Jyushimatsu nodded once again, staying quiet and it made Choromatsu wondered if Jyushimatsu is not happy with the PV.
(But no, Jyushimatsu only stayed quiet because if he open his mouth, he would admit that he wishes they could cancel the distribution of PV for Such A Beautiful Affair. Choromatsu is so beautiful and there is no way he won’t feel jealous at the thought of people seeing the PV.)
5.
Inside the changing room, their lips locked together.
Tongues rubbing and moans choked back. Hands roaming over each other’s figure. Slipping under the fabrics. Exploring. Pleasuring.
Despite the name of their idol unit, Jyushimatsu is the only one with citrus scent. Choromatsu’s scent leans towards vanilla, and Jyushimatsu could feel himself getting dizzy at the sweet olfactory invasion.
Not that he minds.
Jyushimatsu let out a needy whine when Choromatsu pulls away from the kiss. The smirk on Choromatsu’s face was not something familiar, but Jyushimatsu doesn’t mind. Choromatsu looks so handsome when he is dominating.
“So,” Choromatsu huffed out as he reaches under Jyushimatsu’s t-shirt. “What kind of fanservice training are we going to do today?”
Jyushimatsu’s face grew hot as he whispered “Se… secross training?”
Choromatsu laughed. “We are not going to secross in front of our fans, idiot,” he said, before his voice dips and he spoke directly into Jyushimatsu’s ear.
“But I guess, if we can do that then we have no problem giving out any fanservice.”
Jyushimatsu smiled as Choromatsu once again took him into a kiss. This time he eased himself into his partner’s touch, sinking deeper into pleasure.
Despite their argument that this is just a training to give out the best fanservice they could, both of them could not deny that it was a lie. A facade.
Idol unit Citrus’ members, Ono Jyushimatsu and Kamiya Choromatsu, have fallen in love with each other.
