Chapter Text
Izuku couldn’t remember the last time he had his cellphone. He had it when he left class, he had it when he was at the lobby of his dorm. But when he got to his room, his cell just wasn’t there. Scratching his head Izuku fiddled through his bag again, searching for a smooth surface of any size at all. He took all his books out, left it in a messy pile over his desk, and took out what looked like a piece of homework left at the bottom of his bag. He didn’t care about when it was due, so he flicked it away without a thought. Still, his phone was nowhere to be seen. Izuku stood up again, strolled back and forth in his room, starting to panic. He decided that he would walk back into school as it was only a few minutes away.
Ochako couldn’t have been more fed up. She had found someone’s phone just couldn’t recognise who’s it was. It had a green plastic backplate with an all might key chain attached to it but everyone could have one of these keychains, as all might is everyone’s hero too.
No one in her memory had anything green associated with them. Unless... no, she couldn’t think of anyone. Just who would have a green phone? She just had to think harder.
Just then the face of Izuku popped into her head, not sure why she decided to follow along and thought of one of her best friends just then, a small ping sound bursted out of the mysterious phone. It had a message on it
-So, who’s this girl you like again? Ura-what? Anyway, if you got the guts that I’ve got, your friend would probably say yes if you ask her out ;) love, mom-
Ochako’s head was filled with questions, Who’s mother was this? Who’s phone was she holding? Who has “Ura” in their name... the last question made her face flush and her heart skip a beat the only person in the school that she knew, the only one with ura in their name was herself, the owner of the phone had a crush on her and asked their mother whether or not she would say yes.
Izuku felt his memories return slowly. The last text he had sent was to his mother, he had asked his mother whether Ochako would accept him asking her out. He had thought of doing this since May, but he procrastinated and ended up in the middle of July. His mother was at work, so she would probably reply around 6 o’clock. He looked at his watch it was 6:32 pm. Izuku prayed that his phone wasn’t found by someone. He hurried along to the entrance of the school, where he found nothing and slowly walked back to his dorm, determined to find it in his bag this time.
