Chapter Text

Eijirou was late, he knew as much - his professor had dismissed them later than they expected. The professor decided to extend his lecture for another 30 minutes before dismissing the class and reminding them of a make-up class the next day.

He ran towards the coffee shop just outside their university. It wasn't a long way, but because of the temperament of the person he was about to meet - every step he made seemed shorter, despite his long legs. He was due to interview someone for his thesis. Eijirou met him through the suggestion of one of his classmates since he needed someone who knew fire and how to apply the heat.

The red-head arrived at the coffee shop just in the nick of time, he looked for a blonde haired man and spotted him easy enough at the back of the cafe, seated on one of the couches. He took a deep breath as he walked towards the male.

"Pardon me," Eijirou said as the blonde looked at him, he was pissed and Eijirou knew it. "Are you Bakugou Katsuki, sir?"

"That depends, who's asking for me?" Bakugou grinned as Eiijrou looked at his feet.

"I'm Kirishima Eijirou, sir. I've been wanting to meet you."

Bakugou chuckled, "Well you're late, almost 10 minutes." he responded as he crossed his arms as he gestured towards the seat in front of him. Eijirou quickly took his seat as he prepared his things for the interview.

"You see sir, my thesis is about the association of a burnout and the sensation of being on fire. I thought about doing this thesis because I'm really interested in it since I've always read online that--"

Eijirou was cut off by a whine from the former, "Let me give you some piece of advice before we begin." Bakugou stated as Eijirou looked up at him in wonder.

"Talk less, smile more." Bakugou leaned back against the back of the chair, "Don't let people know what you're against or what you're for. You're doing a thesis so you should't be biased about anything. I know you're excited, but you gotta calm down." Bakugou chuckled as Eijirou gave him a nod.

"You gotta choose what to say and when you say it, you gotta be sure that its concise." Bakugou added as Eijirou set his things on the coffee table.

Eijirou handed a questionnaire to Bakugou who began to read through it. The blonde gave Eijirou a nod as they began the interview.

"You see sir, I thought that you were going to say that, it just made so much sense--" Eijirou cut himself off when he saw the rather amused expression on Bakugou's face.

"You wanna get ahead? Fools who run their mouth usually fail but that depends on the type of fool that you are but usually fools fail." Bakugou was blunt and Eijirou had to take note of everything that he said. He was getting more than what he was there for.
