Saiki just tries to make it through each day going unnoticed by people around him. It's pretty hard with people like Kokomi, Kineshi, and Nendou hanging around him, but other than these three and a few others, he manages just fine.
"Ah! Saiki! I can sense it! The dark reunion is up to their nefarious plots yet again! Come with me and we can destroy their evil plot!"
One of the others he was thinking of before-Shun Kaido. Saiki couldn't explain it if he wanted to, but for some reason he didn't mind being paid attention to if it was coming from Shun.
Saiki did what he would in any normal situation. He ignored the other and went back to thinking, but when the other boy was around, Saiki found that he couldn't think of anything other than Kaido.
"Hey, Saiki? Are you even listening to me? Dark Reunion is getting away with evil and your just ignoring me! I'll just have to go by myself!" Kaido said, but his thoughts told a different story. 'That jerk, Saiki! I was going to show him my secret base and everything! I would never say it, but. . . it really hurts when he just ignores me like that.'
Saiki faintly blushed at that last part. "Wait!" He didn't raise his voice often, but this is important. "Kaido, did you have something to ask me? It seem like it was important to you."
"Ah- no." Kaido shook his head. " it wasn't that important. I can take care of Dark Reunion by myself."
'I would like it if you were by my side, though'
"Oh, in that case, if Dark Reunion isn't keeping you too busy, maybe we could do something after school?" Saiki asked.
"I am very busy saving people and all, but i can always make time for my best friend!" 'And hopefully more, someday!'
"Did you have anything in particular in mind, or should I think of something?"
"I know just what to do! Meet me by the gates after school!"
Nendou came over to them, sneaking up behind Saiki as he so often does.
"Huh? Are you guys doing something after school? Can i tag along?" He asked.
"Sorry, Nendou," 'not' Saiki mentally added before continuing. "But, if I'm not mistaken," he directed this part to Kaido. "It's a date, so we would like to be alone together."
"Oh, i get it! Maybe we can get ramen or something some other time, then! We can celebrate the two of you getting together!" Nendou yelled out.
Meanwhile, Kaido was off to the side blushing so much his face, ears and neck were all red. 'I didn't think Saiki liked me like that. I really didn't think he would think of it as a date. Maybe i should do something other than bring him to my base. . .'
'He's doubting himself. That's no good. I want him to act like himself around me.'
"Kaido? It was meant to be a date, right? No need to be so nervous! I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever you have planned." Saiki said with a slight smile.
'Yeah, that's right. Saiki agreed to go on a date with me. He knows me and he wouldn't expect me to change just because of a date.'
Unlucky for Saiki, Kokomi heard Nendou shout about their date.
"Hmm? Who's going on a date?" 'I hope Saiki is planning to ask me on a date. I don't know why he hasn't yet, and its confusing about why he hasn't gone "oh, wow" to me yet. I'm absolutely perfect, after all.'
"Kaido and I are going out later." Saiki said with a neutral face.
"Are you going to talk about your date with him later? It makes sense. Girls talk about guys before they ask them out, so guys should do the same. I get it." 'He need to get hyped up before asking me. Who wouldn't? I'm such a perfect girl.'
"I don't think you do get it, Kokomi." Saiki said. " Kaido is my date. The two of us are going out as boyfriends, not as friends." "I see. . . Enjoy yourselves, then!" 'I didn't expect this to hurt, but i guess him being gay makes since. No straight guy could resist me!'
Kaido was still blushing behind Saiki. 'He let Kokomi know about our date! And telling Nendou is practically telling the whole school! He usually tries to stay under the radar, but being in a gay relation ship is going to make him known to every one in school! The best part is. . . He did that for me.'
Later that day
"Here we are!" Kaido yelled as he gestured to the abandoned building.
It was pretty abandoned. The only thoughts Saiki could hear were his, kaido's, and some various animals.
"I brought some snacks in my bag today, so we shouldn't get hungry or anything."
'This is so romantic! Out here, just us two, and we can have a picnic! I just wish i had a basket, blanket, and some bentos instead of convenience store snacks and an abandoned building.'
"What did I say before? What you have planned is perfect. Don't doubt that."
' why did I say that outloud!? I'm not usually so stupid. Now I'll have to tell him.'
"How did you know what I was thinking? Do you just know me that well or something?"
"Or something. I'm . . . Psychic." Saiki said. 'If it goes wrong, i guess i can just replace the memory or something.'
"Is that it?" Kaido asked. 'It's honestly not that surprising. I always knew Saiki was special.'
Saiki blushed. "You think I'm special?"
"You heard that?!" 'What else has he heard? Does he know I love him?' Kaido thought.
"I do now. I. . . Don't know if i love you back, but it is a possibility. I do hold a strong affection towards you."
Kaido smiled. "I'm glad. What else can you do?"
So, Saiki went on to tell him about his powers, downplaying it some so that he didn't scare Shun off.
"Oh Wow! You are really amazing Kusuo!" 'A psychic, incredibly handsome, and he likes me back. He is amazing. Ah! Wait! He heard that! That's so embarrassing.'
"It's nothing to be embarrassed about." Kusuo's face was bright red. "I like knowing what you think about me."
'Oh Wow! How is he this perfect? Saiki! This is private! Oh no! Stop thinking about how gorgeous he is!'
"That's cute. I can't stop listening. I don't have the ability to turn it off. It only stops when I'm sleeping." Saiki said.
Kaido blushed. "You've heard everything I've thought near you since we met?" 'That's not as off putting as it should be. Maybe because it's Saiki. . . I don't think I care if you can hear my thoughts or not, Kusuo! It just means that you know me better than anyone else ever could!'
"Stop that! You're embarrassing me, now. I can share my ability with you and you can hear some of my thoughts if you want."
"Would you really? Do it! I want to know Saiki better than anyone just like he knows me!"
Thoughts suddenly flooded Kaido's head.
'I wish he would call me Kusuo outloud, too, and not just in his head. He's adorable! Why am I here right now?' Kaido felt hurt and almost ran, but Kusuo grabbed his hand and kept him still. 'I like to go unnoticed, but, if it's for Kaido, It might be worth it. I don't like other people, but for some reason, he makes me feel happy. I usually hate my psychic powers, but if Kaido likes them, for some reason, it makes me like them more.'
The connection cut off there. Kaido had a red face and tears of joy were leaking down his face.
"Kusuo. You really like me that much? I can't believe I doubted you!" Kaido wrapped his arms around Saiki. 'I wanted to kiss him, but I'm fine with a hug.' Right after he thought it, Shun's face turned bright fire truck red.
"Shun?" Saiki smiled. "Kiss me."
"I-uh-I" 'how can he just say that? I want to, and he must want a kiss, too, and he knows I want one, but still-' suddenly his thoughts were cut off by the feeling of soft lips on his own. 'Oh. Wow.'
Saiki pulled back. "Kiss me whenever you want to. You won't ever surprise me with it, so don't worry about me not wanting the kiss."
"Saiki. . ." Shun had a look of awe on his face. 'He really means that. He really likes me. He really is going to be my boyfriend.'
"Not 'going to be.' I already am your boyfriend. Now, let's go back home. Its getting late."
"Yeah, okay."
'I never tried to teleport with someone else before, but maybe. . .'
"Give me your hand." Saiki said.
"Huh? Yeah, of course." 'Does he want to hold hands?' Kaido blushed.
Saiki interlocked their fingers before trying to teleport them both to the street in front of Kaido's house.
"Wow! How did you do that, Kusuo? You're really amazing." Kaido said.
'Hmm? I guess I over did it today. I really need to sleep.' Saiki thought.
"Saiki? You look really tired. Maybe we should have just walked home. Why don't you come inside and rest for a while. We can ask our parents if you can stay the night, if you want." Kaido said.
"Yeah that sounds good."
Saiki said. 'i would like to sleep next to Kaido, but i dont know about that. We are sure to have some skin contact and I don't know if i could stand feeling his every emotion and intention all night, but Kaido is the only one I could see that being even slightly possible with.'
They walked inside.
"Oh, my little Shun-Baby. You were making your mother worry with how late you were out." 'Huh? He's with his little genius friend.'
"Mama? Saiki is my boyfriend now. We were on a date, but now we're both really tired. Can he stay the night?"
"Well, he would need permission from his parents and I want to speak to them on the phone to make sure."
'His boyfriend? I hope he doesn't plan on doing anything untoward to my little boy.'
Saiki smiled. "If you will let me use your phone, I'll call them." 'I'm to tired to do anything "untoward" to Shun. Maybe some other time.'
"Of course. Its right this way."
His parents picked up on the first ring. "Who is this?" His mother said. "Is it Kusuo? I was hoping he could help me with some stuff." His father said.
"Mom, its Kusuo. I was hoping I could stay at my boyfriend's house tonight."
"Boyfriend? I'm so happy! My son is finally in a relationship!" His mother said.
"Boyfriend? I was hoping you would get together with that pretty girl. He's atleast cute, right?" His father said.
"Yes, dad. He is absolutely adorable. Can i stay over or not?"
"You aren't planning to have sex are you? Do you need any condoms or anything? Do you have lube?" His mother said.
"No, mom! We aren't going to have sex!" 'Yet' He amended silently.
"I guess you can stay over." His mom said.
"Okay. His mom want to talk to you guys."
"Okay, bye. Have a good time! We love you sweetie!"
"Here you go" Saiki handed the phone to Shun's mom. The three talked for a couple minutes. "Okay. Your parents seem really nice."
'Nice, sure, but they are definitely crazy. I don't know how they have such a smart child.'
"So I can stay over?" Saiki looked absolutely exhausted.
"Yes. You'll want to stay with Shun in his room?"
"If you don't mind"
"That's fine." 'It's not really, but atleast I don't have to worry about grandchildren yet. '
"Come with me, Kusuo." Shun grabbed the other boy's arm and led him up stairs and into a bathroom. "I have a new toothbrush right here that you can use." Shun rummaged through the drawers before handing him a pink toothbrush still in the package.
"This is my bathroom, so take as long as you want. You should take a bath and relax before bed, too. I'll find you some clothes you can wear. That door leads to my room. I'll leave the clothes on the shelf next to it."
"Wait, Shun. Take a bath with me. Nothing weird, just a bath."
"Oh" Shun was blushing again. 'That sounds nice.' "I'll go find us some clothes. Start running the bath, okay?" He said before walking into his room.
Saiki smiled slightly before looking around. The bathtub was more than big enough for two people. He started the water and when it was the right temperature, he plugged the drain so it would fill. He listened to Shun's thoughts from the other room. 'Maybe I should have told him about the bathbombs and oils in the closet. The vanilla and lavender ones are my favorites. I wonder how far away he can hear thoughts.'
Saiki put a vanilla bath bomb and a few drops of lavender oil into the bath tub. Shun returned a couple seconds later. "Did you hear my thoughts from all the way in here?"
"I can hear them up to 200 yards away."
'Wow!'
Shun sat the clothes down and walked over to Saiki. "I guess we should get undressed."
Saiki smiled. 'If I don't start, shun definitely won't start to undress.' So, Saiki started to undress. "I think we should shower before so our water stays clean."
"Right." Shun said as he started to take off his clothes, too.
Saiki turned off the water before turning to Shun, not at all worried about being completely naked. "You'll have to take off your underwear, too."
"R-right." Shun quickly slid them down. "Lets get in the shower, then."
Saiki turned it on with his powers. "Lets go."
Shun had one of those showers where it came down from the ceiling like rain, so they both were under the water at the same time. It was a bit awkward at first, but the two got used to eachother's presence quickly and moved around the other easily washing themselves and rinsing off.
"The bath water must be getting cold by now." Shun said.
Saiki smiled. He used his pyrokinetics to keep it heated. "Feel it."
"Oh! It's warm!"
"Lets get in." Saiki said as he climbed in and sat against the back of the tub. Shun blushed before climbing into the tub. He tried to sit next to Saiki, but he felt his body lifting up. When he looked at Saiki, he could see the normally blue eyes glowing. Saiki used his powers to position Shun in between his legs and leaning against his chest.
"Saiki!" Shun blushed.
"I like you better here." It was overwhelming. The feeling of Shun against him made his powers act up. All he could feel was an extreme amount of embarrassment and affection, but it was worth it to hold Shun. They sat there for around an hour before climbing out. Saiki used his powers to dry them off and they got dressed in Shun's night clothes.
"Do you want to sleep next to me?" Shun asked as they walked into his bedroom.
"Yeah, I'd like that." Saiki said.
The turned off the light and climbed into bed.
Saiki kissed Shun lightly. "You really are worth any and all attention I get because of our relationship. I think i love you, too, Shun."
"Love you" Kaido mumbled out, already half asleep.
Saiki smiled before falling asleep next to his boyfriend.
