Work Text:
Tamaki was at lost.
He was studying, training to be a hero and still he couldn’t figure out what to do.
They didn’t teach that kind of stuff on UA, or at least they as third years hadn’t been taught about how to deal with that kind of stuff, so Tamaki was so lost at how to proceed.
How should he address the topic? He had been thinking about it for a few days but there wasn’t a non-hurtful, non-awkward way to address it; and in all honesty it had been driving him mad because heroes were supposed to help and save people and if he couldn’t do that what was he there for-----
-.Amajiki!-. Tamaki flinched a little at his classmate’s hard voice. He blinked and then saw Nejire sitting in front of him with a confuse expression.
Right, they had gone to the library to study while Mirio was with Sir Night-eye.
-…S-Sorry, Nejire.-. Mumbled Tamaki, looking at his open notebook.
-.No, it’s okay. I didn’t mean to talk to you like that, it’s just you were truly lost in your head mister.-. Explained the girl.
Tamaki blushed and mumbled another apology.
-.I told you it’s fine, dummy-. Said Nejire.-. But you’ve been quite distracted lately, is everything okay?
Tamaki pursed his lips and bitted the inside of his cheek.
Nejire pouted.
-.You don’t have to tell me, but if something is bugging you, you should tell Togata or someone else.-.Said Nejire with a kind smile.
Tamaki looked at the briefly.
Should he talk to her about it? Nejire could be a bubbly kind of person but she knew when to take things seriously.
Also, she wasn’t as socially awkward as him so she may have some solution to his problem.
-.How---.-.Tamaki licked his lips.-. How do you know--- I mean---.-.Nejire looked at him but didn’t say anything.-. How can you, uhm, tell if a re-relationship is, uhm, u-un-unhealthy?-. Asked Tamaki in a hushed voice.
Nejire’s eyebrows narrowed.
-.By “Un-healthy” you mean “Abusive”?-. She asked in a whisper. Tamaki nodded.
Nejire’s eyebrows raised up, her lips forming a silent “Oh”.
-.I mean, it depends. Do you suspect of someone?
-.I--- I d-don’t want t-to call names.-. Answered Tamaki in a low voice. Nejire nodded, understanding.
-.Okay, well how I said: it depends. Not all the relationships are the same and the people on those relationships are super different too, so.-. Tamaki nodded.
-.How--- How can I, uhm, address the situation?-. Nejire gave a quiet sigh.
-.Well that’s the tricky part.-. Said Nejire resting his face on her hand.-. I guess you should talk about it with the person you think is the victim, but she or he could react in a good or bad way doesn’t matter if they are on an abusive relationship or not.
Tamaki’s shoulders fell. There truly wasn’t a way to talk about it without it being awkward and hurtful.
-.It also depends on her or his personality and if you have some kind of evidence.
-.W-Would that h-help? T-The evidence?-. Nejire made a humming noise.
-.It’s a 50-50 I’m afraid to say. It could help or not, these cases are delicate so there’s no easy way to address them for what I know.-. Said the girl.
Tamaki’s eyes fell on his forgotten notebook.
-.Sorry. I’m inexperienced on this kind of topic so I cannot give you a full guide on what to do.
Tamaki shook his head.
-.You--- You gave me some insights and in-information I hadn’t considered before, so thank you.-. Nejire smiled.
-.I hope you can discover if your suspicions are right or not.-.Tamaki looked at her.-. I hope you’re wrong, for the sake of the persona.-. Tamaki pursed his lips.
-.Yeah, me too.
+
Tamaki had taken an extra day so he could ponder what Nejire had told him and to do some quick research too.
Tamaki wasn’t a big fan of big talks ---unless it was with Mirio or about butterflies--- but for this to work he would have to talk clear and loud enough for him to express himself correctly.
He hoped Nejire was right about the person’s personality being key for this to work out, because if it was the case then things wouldn0t go as wrong as Tamaki was afraid they would.
-.Good morning, Amajiki-Senpai!-. Greeted him Kirishima as he arrived to Fatgum’s agency.
Tamaki had come earlier so he could gather even more courage to do what he had to do.
-.Good morning, Kirishima.-. Answered Tamaki in a low voice. Kirishima smiled as brightly as always as he went to Fatgum’s office.
Tamaki pursed his lips and with fisted hands he shouted.
-.Ki-Kirishima!-. The redhead turned at Tamaki’s call.
Tamaki licked his lips before speaking.
-.Uhm, could you--- uhm, could I talk to you about s-something at break time?-. Asked Tamaki, forcing his eyes to not leave Kirishima’s face.
Kirishima blinked but gave him a toothy smiled.
-.Yeah! Sure Senpai!-. Said the redhead.
Tamaki nodded and watched as Kirishima went to Fatgum’s.
At first, Tamaki had been stress out when he met Kirishima; the redhead was a bubbly thing made of smiles and joy that shined as much as the sun.
It was as if he was seeing Mirio, but instead of the comfort his boyfriend’s presence provided, Kirishima just made him feel nervous and anxious.
Of course with time he began to accustom to Kirishima’s bright presence and Tamaki ---finally--- began to feel fond towards the redhead.
You’ve finally accepted him as your Kouhai, had joke Mirio when Tamaki told him that Kirishima wasn’t as bad as he first thought.
And, if he was honest, yes, Kirishima was his Kouhai; even if Tamaki would never say it at loud for him would die from embarrassment.
He had come to care about him ---hero related stuff or not--- and that’s why he had to be sure he was okay. Truly okay.
It wasn’t as if he doubted Kirishima’s ability to take care of himself, but his Kouhai was too kind, too generous… especially with the people he hold close as friends.
That’s why when Kirishima, with a red face and a nervous smile, had told him that Bakugou Katsuki was not just a friend but his boyfriend, Tamaki couldn’t help but to cringe.
Bakugou Katsuki was an explosive, rude kid from Kirishima’s class; Tamaki supposed that he had seen the blond student around UA’s halls, but he began to truly noticed him after the sports festival.
It didn’t matter if he was alone or with Kirishima and their friends, Bakugou always wore a scowl on his face and every time he talked he never had anything nice to say,
It was a mystery to Tamaki how he had friends.
It was concerning how he was Kirishima’s boyfriend.
In a Fatgum’s and Beast Jeanist’s Team up, he had seen both Kirishima and Bakugou working together and indeed their team work was flawless.
It help that their quirks were compatible, but they moved so in sync that it was as if they could read each other’s mind.
Seriously amazing.
Still, Bakugou’s personality was too abrasive for Tamaki’s taste.
During the fight and even after it, Bakugou was obnoxious and harsh in his actions and words; it didn’t make a difference that he was talking with Kirishima and not the villains, which irked and worried Tamaki to no end.
Especially now that Tamaki knew that Bakugou and Kirishima had been boyfriends since their first year and they were now half-way their second.
Maybe he’s different when they are alone, Tamaki began to think.
But still he had to be sure.
Kirishima was a great guy, and Tamaki didn’t want him to be hurt; he would have to wait until lunch hour to know for sure, though.
+
-.Senpai! It’s everything okay? You said you wanted to talk about something.-. Said Kirishima as he stood in front of Tamaki.
Tamaki startled a little and then notice the hour on his desk clock.
-.Uhm, y-yeah.-. Answered Tamaki as he faced Kirishima.-. Let’s eat first, t-then I’ll tell you alright?-. Said Tamaki as he noticed Kirishima holding a bento box.
He wasn’t backing off, he just didn’t want to ruin Kirishima’s appetite.
The redhead nodded and both of them went to a little room that was use for the interns for their breaks.
Tamaki fought every turn his stomach did every time his and Kirishima’s eyes locked and the redhead gave him a big smile.
That’s why you’re doing this, so he can keep smiling like that.
Once they finished their food, Tamaki waited until they were alone in the room.
Kirishima looked at him with a small smile on his face.
Tamaki swallowed and licked his lips.
-.S-So, uhm, I wanted to talk you a-about something.-. Started Tamaki.
Kirishima nodded, encouraging him to go on.
-.Uhm, it’s--- it’s about y-your boyfriend-. Continued Tamaki in a low voice.
Kirishima’s eyes widened.
-.Katsuki? What about him? D-Did something happen---?!-. Tamaki shook his head.
-.H-He’s fine.-. Said Tamaki as he looked at Kirishima, who still seemed tense.
-… So, what is it then?-. Tamaki fisted his hands, it was now or never.
-.Is… Is he good? To you? Does he treats you well?-. A few seconds passed and Kirishima’s face turned in one of confusion.
-.What?
-.Bakugou, does he treat you well?-. Repeated Tamaki. Kirishima still seemed confused.
-.I’m sorry, Amajiki-Senpai but I don’t think I understand.-. Answered the redhead with a nervous smile.
-.He… He is rude, abrasive, and explosive. He isn’t nice with anyone, not even you his boyfriend. He is harsh and mean and his behavior doesn’t seem to change not matter who’s he with.-. Tamaki pursed his lips.-. T-That’s why I want to know if he, somehow, is good to you.-. Finalized.
The minutes passed bye; Kirishima’s eyes fell on the table, his eyebrows narrowed in confusion.
Tamaki, who had been watching him, knew the moment the redhead had put the pieces together as his eyes widened.
-.You… You think he is abusing me?-. Asked Kirishima with a weak voice.
Tamaki didn’t say anything, but kept looking at Kirishima.
-.He-He is not--- abusing me. Yes, he is rude, impulsive, and sometimes even an idiot.-. Kirishima swallowed.-. But he isn’t an abuser.-. Said the redhead through gritted teeth.
Tamaki’s heart was beating an impossible fast rhythm, but he had to continue.
-.I--- I investigate and there’s a heavy, well-recorded rumor that he used to be Midoriya Izuku’s abuser.-. Stated Tamaki. Kirishima barked a laugh.
-.And who did you investigate with? Uraraka? Iida? They just know the surface of the story and they fill it with their own suspicions and guessing.-. Said Kirishima, his hands clenching over the table.-. I know better, because I know the complete story.
-… And that makes a difference?
-.Yes, Amajiki-Senpai, that makes a difference. If you must know I talked about it with Midoriya first because Katsuki wouldn’t say why Midoriya’s presence irked him so much. When we became friends and before he asked me out, Katsuki told me everything he did to him and his logic ---in that moment--- behind it.
-.And this you must know, Katsuki is aware he is at fault, but he also knows that third parties were involved too and that Midoriya shares some blame on the whole thing. Midoriya knows it too and you can go ask him. Also they’re currently working on re-build their friendship because they know it’s a fucking mess but nobody knows but me and I only know because Katsuki comes to me for advice on “how not to be an asshole”.
Tamaki was speechless. He hadn’t exactly known what to expect, so he didn’t know how to proceed without hurting his Kouhai even more.
Kirishima’s eyes were shiny, and his face was flushed red, probably because the effort he was making on not crying.
-.So… He--- He isn’t a-abusing you?-. Asked Tamaki. Kirishima took a visibly deep breath before answering.
-.No, Amajiki-Senpai. He isn’t abusing me, he is a good guy.
Tamaki could only nod, and before he could say something more Kirishima stood up.
-.Now if that’s all, I’m gonna ask you to leave so I can re-arrange myself and be in a good-shape before the break ends.
Tamaki felt as if he had been thrown freezing water all over his body, so he hesitated on moving for a moment.
-.Senpai.-. Called him Kirishima before he exited the room.
Kirishima took another deep breath, his eyes not leaving the table.
-.I’m--- I’m not mad at you. If it had been someone else I would be but I know you’re not like that.-. He sighed.-. If you brought this on was because you were truly concerned, so thank you.-.Said the redhead in what seemed a resigned voice.
Despise Kirishima not being able to see him, Tamaki silently nodded and went out of the room with his heart beating hard on his throat and his eyes burning with tears.
+
The days that came after were hell for Tamaki.
Even when Kirishima had told him that he wasn’t mad at him, the tension and awkwardness that had formed between them could say the opposite.
Kirishima still greet him with a “good morning, Amajiki-Senpai” but it was less energetic; he still smiled at him, but they were small, polite smiles instead of his big, toothy ones.
He also would talk to him just if he had a reason to. If there wasn’t any, the redhead would not talk to him in the whole day unless to say a quite good-bye.
The Tamaki from back then when he had just met Kirishima would have been ecstasy, but the Tamaki from now on was heartbroken.
He hadn’t meant for this to happen.
That’s why, after he had finished his internship that day, he had gone to Mirio’s room and with a single look from his boyfriend Tamaki broke.
He cried non-stop on Mirio’s lap for hours; the blond just caressed his hair in a comforting way.
-.It’s okay, Tamaki. It’s okay.-. Mumbled Mirio. Tamaki cried harder because nothing was okay.
He had messed up. He had screwed everything.
He was such an idiot.
-.You aren’t.-. Said Mirio with a soft but firm tone. Tamaki gasped, realizing he had said that at loud; he gave a tiny hiccup and curled more in Mirio’s lap.
-.I messed it up, Mirio.-. Said Tamaki with a broken voice.
Mirio sighed.
-.You did what you had to, Petite Papillon.-. Said Mirio.-. You did it with good intentions and Kirishima knows it, he himself told you so.-. Tamaki let out a breathy gasp.
-.B-But things--- N-Now things are awkward a-and I di-didn’t want that.-. Bawled Tamaki.
-.He probably just needs time, Petite Papillon. The accusation wasn’t a delicate one and, for what you told me, it seems you aren’t the only one making assumptions about that Bakugou kid.
-.I’m--- I’m sorry! I--- I didn’t mean it like that!! I---.-. Tried to say Tamaki between his sobs.
Mirio smiled sadly. He then took his crying boyfriend and re-arranged him so Tamaki was now sitting on sitting on his lap; Tamaki’s face hid on Mirio’s chest and the blond’s hands caressing the black haired boy’s back.
-.Maybe you should try to talk to him again.-. Proposed Mirio after a while. Tamaki looked at him.-. You could explain your reasons to him, about why you suspected and why you brought the topic on.-. Explained Mirio.
Tamaki blinked slowly, making unshed tears to fall.
-.You--- You think t-that cou-could work?-. Asked Tamaki with a little sniff.
Mirio pursed his lips, humming.
Tamaki slumped his body on Mirio, his arms encircling the blond’s neck as he nuzzled into his neck.
-… Thank you.-. Mumbled Tamaki. Mirio smiled and kissed his pretty butterfly’s hair.
That night, Tamaki stayed in Mirio’s room, he didn’t sleep right away though; As he heard Mirio’s relaxed breathing, Tamaki thought on how he could approach his Kouhai and what he was going to tell him.
Once he managed to come out with a plan, he let his reddened eyelids cover his eyes, his last thought before falling asleep being of Kirishima’s bright smile.
+
The next day was a festive day, so it was a day off for moest of UA’s students.
For Tamaki’s unlucky luck, Fatgum’s agency was one of the many agencies that were on watch duty. The good thing was that they would be taking turns ---unless something bad happened--- which was perfectly fine with Tamaki for he would have time to talk with Kirishima.
He was so nervous and afraid, but he had to do it. Didn’t matter the outcome.
Kirishima was currently checking out some documents for various cases and Tamaki knew it was his opportunity; it was barely midday and their watch-duty-turn was until night.
So Tamaki took deep breathes and braced himself.
It’s now or never.
-.Kirishima?-. The redhead flinched but still turned to face him.
-.Yes, Amajiki-Senpai?-. Asked Kirishima with that plastic smile the raven haired boy had come to hate.
-.I need to talk to you.-. Said Tamaki. Kirishima pursed his lips and turned to his papers.
-.I-I’m sorry Amajiki-Senpai, b-but as you see I have a lot to do and Fatgum----
-.Eijirou.-.Kirishima shut up at the instant.-. I need to talk to you.-. Repeated Tamaki.
Kirishima took a deep breath and sighed.
-… Fine.-. Said the redhead.
Once they were on the break room, Tamaki sat on a chair but Kirishima stayed on his feet.
Okay, you can do this.
-.Kirishima I--- I owe you and apology.-. Started Tamaki. Kirishima’s serious face didn’t change.
Tamaki licked his lips.
-.It was wrong of me t-to just jump to conclusions. I want to explain why I d-did it though.-. Kirishima didn’t move so Tamaki took it as signal that he would listen.-. Even when Bakugou’s character was a factor, it wasn’t really what brought me to thought he was ab-abusing you.
-.Eijirou… You’re so brave, kind and generous. I have no doubts you’ll be an amazing hero one day but, it’s precisely that you’re too kind and generous ---especially with the ones you love--- that I began to worry. I’m not saying you can’t take care of yourself because I know you can! But I was worried that he was taking you for granted, that you were just giving and he was just taking and taking and taking---!!
-.I was worried he wasn’t being thoughtful of you, that he didn’t see that you’re worth so much… And because of the love you have for him you may not be seeing all that, that couldn’t see he was just using you!!-. Tamaki took a breath and tried to keep the stinging sensation from his eyes away.
-.Senpai…
-.But--- It seems I was wrong, and I’m sorry.
Neither of them said a thing. Tamaki was looking at his trembling hands, trying to calm himself so he could pay attention to Kirishima’s answer.
Tamaki jumped at the sound of a chair moving, when he looked from his hands he saw the redhead taking a sit; his scarlet eyes were shiny with unshed tears, had Tamaki screwed it all again?
-.I--- I told you I wasn’t mad at you, Senpai. And I wasn’t-. Said Kirishima.-. I know that I’ve acted weird the last few weeks , and it may have appeared that I was and I may have been mad but not with you Senpai.
Kirishima sighed heavily.
-.It’s just--- ugh!, It’s just you’re not the first one making that kind of assumptions though you’re the first and only one that had treated it as a serious matter. People comes at me saying horrible things about how Bakugou’s gonna kill me someday or how because of my quirk he is a beast when we train because he knows there won’t be any proof, any marks; that I’m ether too stupid or too kind to see that I’m dating a potential villain.
Tamaki felt his chest tight and knot forming on his throat. Are those students aiming to be heroes but treat this situation as a joke? Just because they didn’t like Bakugou?
What if it was real? That Kirishima was being abused by Bakugou or other person?
Tamaki was afraid to find out the answer to that.
-.But what gets me madder about it, is that those persons don’t know him, and neither have the least interest on trying to. They just judge him because they can, but that doesn’t mean it’s right!-. Kirishima wiped some tears that were falling on his cheeks.-. Katsuki, uhm, he--- he knows. He has hears that they say ---the cowards won’t tell him anything to his face--- about how lucky he is, to be such a beast with a stupid beauty to hit and to do what he wants with it.-. The redhead sniffed.
-.he used to apologize when we were alone, if he considered he had been to rude or too harsh; he still does but I have always known he doesn’t meant it because I know him. He is a good guy, Amajiki-Senpai and he loves me! I know he does.-. Finished Kirishima, wiping furiously the now streaming tears on his face.
Tamaki for his part could just observe at his crying Kouhai as he digested what he had told him.
Tamaki trusted on Kirishima’s words, for he knew the redhead had previously showed he was a smart-people-kind of guy.
Bakugou Katsuki wasn’t Tamaki’s cup of tea at all. The blond was all the opposite for what Tamaki would look for on a friend or lover in all the senses.
But it had been Bakugou Katsuki who had caught Kirishima’s heart and Tamaki, as Kirishima’s Senpai had to know this young man for himself.
Even if the mere thought of being in the same room as the blond made him shiver in a no pleasant way.
Because Kirishima was right, everybody preferred to assume and judge the blond instead of trying to know him.
Maybe he could help by defending the explosive boy when he head an ugly commentary with a “Do you know him?” kind of comment; he could ask Nejire and Mirio ---who were better in talking and holding their ground with strangers than Tamaki was--- to help him to neutralize Bakugou’s bad reputation.
He would have to ask Kirishima first, if it was a good idea but he could do that later.
-.Well.-. Said Kirishima, after he calmed himself down.-. I think we better go back before Fatgum realizes we’re doing nothing outside our respective places.
Tamaki couldn’t help but to agree with that.
-.K-Kirishima?-. The redhead looked at him. Tamaki swallowed.-. U-Uhm, are--- are we…?-. Kirishima gave him a genuine, sweet smile.
-.Yeah, we’re good Amajiki-Senpai.-. Tamaki felt as crying at the relieving sensation that invaded his body at those words.
Kirsihima kept smiling as he said.
-.Well, let’s get back to work Senpai!
Tamaki nodded and followed him out the room.
+
Even when Tamaki had proposed to himself that he had to to know Bakugou personally, he didn’t think life would grant him the chance so horribly soon.
He and Kirishima had been working on checking out and classifying some reports; it was a tedious work but “Better to do something than nothing, kids” Fatgum had told them and, well, he was right.
Tamaki didn’t mind that much; he was still rejoicing on the fact that he and his Kouhai had cleared it all out and things were back to normal.
Tamaki couldn’t help the excitement that ran through his body when he and Kirishima locked eyes and the redhead gave him a big, toothy smile.
His Kouhai was like Mirio, a sun that shined the brightest.
Tamaki was busy with that and other thoughts when he heard someone entering their office.
A shiver ran on Tamaki’s spine as he saw none other than Bakugou Katsuki walking towards them.
As by reflex, the black haired man took his hood and covered himself with it.
He was gonna talk to the blond at some-point, when he had gathered a high level of courage and confidence which obviously he hasn’t in that moment.
Tamaki’s train of thought was interrupted by a tiny gasp and hearing the name “Katsuki” in a marveled voice.
-.Babe! What are you doing here?-. He heard Kirishima ask, followed by a grunt.
-.Seeing that you’re the only one working on a festive day I decided to bring you edible food.
-.Aaaww, Katsuki! You brought me lunch!?-. Exclaimed Kirishima, happy.-. You shouldn’t have.
-.I can fucking go then---
-.No!-. Kirishima said in a whiny voice.-. Stay, we can eat together. Please?
Tamaki risked a look over his hood and could see that Kirishima was clutching Bakugou’s hand; the other boy just stood there, looking at the redhead’s eyes and holding what seemed to be a bento box in the other hand.
Tamaki could also swear that he saw the blond’s cheeks tinted with a pink color.
At last, Bakugou replied with a grunted “fine” and Kirishima beamed.
-.My break isn’t for another thirty minutes but I can ask Fatgum if you can stay until then!-. Katsuki wrinkled his nose.
-.Whatever.-. Kirishima just smiled.
-.Then I’ll go ask him! You brought food for you too?-. Bakugou shook his head.-. We’ll share it then!
-.Shitty Hair this is for you, idiot.-. Hissed the blond, his cheeks getting redder.
-.And because it’s mine I choose sharing it with you, babe!-. Said the redhead before kissing the blond’s hand he was holding and then bolting to Fatgum’s office.
Bakugou stood frozen where Kirishima let him for a moment; then those red eyes looked at Tamaki and the black haired boy hunched on his place.
Crap!
Tamaki kept working on his bunch of papers, pretending he hadn’t been hearing Bakugou’s and Kirishima’s conversation.
It took everything from Tamaki to not jump out of his seat at the slam of a hand on his desk; Tamaki bitted his inner cheeks and looked over his hood to find a scowling Bakugou Katsuki watching him.
Neither Tamaki nor Bakugou said a thing until the ashen blond scoffed.
-.So, you’re the pervert-hands guy Eijirou won’t shut about.-. Said Bakugou with a mocking smile.
Tamaki felt his whole face getting hot.
P-Pervert-hands?!
-.Hmm, you’re not that impressing.-. Said the blond, his smile disappearing.-. Anyway, we have something to talk about, don’t we?
Tamaki pursed his lips and tried to make his heart stop its hard beatings.
-.It appears so, yes.-. Bakugou huffed and put the bento box on Tamaki’s desk.
-.Eijirou told me, about you thinking I’m abusing him.-. Tamaki fisted his hands and forced himself to look at Bakugou’s red eyes.
-.I noticed some things and I care about Eijirou, so yes I voiced him my concerns.-. Said Tamaki, proud his voice didn’t shake.
Also, he couldn’t help the smug feeling at seeing Bakugou’s face when he spoke Kirishima’s first name.
-.Yeah, well, the only things that stopped me from going and exploding your face was Eijirou telling me you were worried. Truly worried.-. His eyebrows narrowed.-. Just remembering how he was drowning on his own tears while he was telling me still makes me wanna explode you, though.
Tamaki swallowed, trying to stop the ugly feeling on his chest at the image of his Kouhai crying so much because of him once again.
-.It wasn’t my intention.-. Said Tamaki.-. If you must know I talked to him a few hours ago and I apologize for making assumptions about your relationship and about you.-. That seemed to surprise the blond, his red eyes widening a little bit.-. And we’re good now.
Bakugou hummed.
-.Good. Now what I’m about to tell you it’s our fucking business, got it?
Tamaki nodded.
-.I love him. I still don’t tell him so you better keep your fucking mouth shut, perv-hands.-. Tamaki had to hold his “he already knows” answer with all his might.-. The thing is that I love him and I would cut my tongue and hands before hurting him in any way.-. Said Bakugou with a serious face.-. And I mean it, is that clear?-. Tamaki nodded.-. Great. I’m glad we had this little chat.- Said as he took the bento box.
-.I want to remind you that I’m not only just Eijirou’s Senpai, but also that Eijirou is my Kouhai and if you ever hurt him I won’t hesitate to show you why I’m part of the big 3, is that clear?-. Said Tamaki, his eyes never leaving Bakugou’s face.
Bakugou just looked at him in silence for a few seconds before giving Tamaki a sly smile.
-.As clear as water, Amajiki.-. Answered the blond as he made his way to Kirishima’s desk.
Tamaki stayed petrified on his chair, trying to calm his heartbeats as he wondered how it was possible to use someone’s name in such a menacing way.
Bakugou Katsuki was such a complex human being.
Tamaki had gone back to his paper work when he heard his Kouhai coming back.
-.Good news! Fatgum says there’s no problem but that in case we’re needed you can go with us or not.-. Tamaki listened to Kirishima’s excited explanation.-. Though, if you go with us you’ll have to obey Fatgum no matter what,
Bakugou barked a laugh.
-.If I can be with you while kicking asses I don’t give a shit.-. Tamaki shivered at the crude word choice.
He heard Kirishima giggle.
-.Whatever you say babe.-.Answered the redhead.
Tamaki smiled a little and kept working; his Kouhai and Bakugou’s low voices a nice sound in the background.
Not a minute later, Kirishima called him.
-.Amajiki-Senpai!?-. Tamaki turned to them.-. Would you like to have lunch with us?
Tamaki blinked slowly and caught a glimpse of Bakugou’s face.
The blond just arched an eyebrow; Tamaki felt shiver running on his back.
-.Y-Yeah, sure.-. Answered Tamaki with a nod.
Kirishima’s smile got bigger and brighter if that was even possible.
When he turned back to his work, he managed to see Bakugou’s face and he couldn’t help but to be a little bit more at peace.
The blond looked at Eijirou as if he was the only one in the room, co captivated by his boyfriend.
Tamaki blushed at the thought of him looking at Mirio just like that.
He couldn’t help it though, Mirio was his sun and it seemed Eijirou was Katsuki’s.
People compared them with Beauty and The Beast, and maybe they were right, but not for the reasons that they believed.
Belle and Beast fell in love because, despite their differences, they had the will to know each other. Once they did, they just didn’t understood but also respected each other, and finally they fell in love.
And if Tamaki had got it right, that was more or less how Kirishima’s and Bakugou’s relationship had bloomed.
Bakugou had told him that he loved Kirishima, and Tamaki was one hundred percent sure that Kirishima loved the blond too.
A beautiful fairy-tale come true.
