Work Text:
"Wait, what?" Hoseok said in confusion as he and Jimin stood in front of two of their managers.
"You need to tone it down," Sejin said softly as though he was trying to console the pair, "We understand your situation but we do ask that you take your images into consideration."
Jimin furrowed his brows and glanced at Hoseok who looked equally confused.
"Hyung, I don't understand," Jimin said and Sejin sighed. Their other manager crossed his arms.
"We don't want to offend either of you," he said, "But we need you to start being considerate about whether the things you do are appropriate are not for the public."
"I understand that part," Hoseok said, "But what exactly did we do that was inappropriate?"
"Hoseok-ah," Sejin started, "With every touch and glance between the two of you, the closer you come to uncovering your relationship."
"I'm sorry, what?" Jimin said suddenly with wide eyes.
"We understand how much you care for each other and we have let you get away with your actions until now but ARMY aren't stupid. They will figure out something is going on eventually," the other manager said. The other two were speechless.
"Okay, now get some rest. You have a busy schedule tomorrow," Sejin said as he gestured for them to leave. The pair could only wordlessly nod and walk out of the room. They walked side by side into the hallway and simply stared blankly at the wall. They spoke simultaneously.
"Did they just-"
"What just happened?"
A few hours ago
"Okay, time to go!" Hoseok said with a smile as he waved with one hand. Jimin was sat on his lap, his arms around Hoseok's neck while Hoseok's hand gripped his waist.
"Thanks for joining Hoseokie hyung's vlive!" Jimin said as he waved as well.
"Thanks to Jiminie for joining us," Hoseok cooed as he hugged the younger tightly and buried his face in his chest. Jimin laughed loudly before he lightly pushed the other away. They both looked at each other with wide smiles before they looked at the camera.
"Love you, ARMY!" they chorused before Hoseok leaned forward and ended the vlive. Jimin sighed as the black screen appeared and the light in the laptop's webcam turned off to signify the live was over.
"Thanks for joining," Hoseok said as he leaned back on his chair. Jimin just smiled at him.
"Should we get some foo-" Jimin started but was interrupted when both their phones rang. They were surprised to find Sejin calling Hoseok and one of their other managers calling Jimin.
They were initially worried something bad had happened but when they both answered and the only thing they were told was to meet them in Sejin's office with the other member, they were left confused.
Back to the Present
"What now?" Jimin asked and Hoseok just sighed.
"We have to talk to Namjoon," he said before he held out his hand. Jimin took it and they both made their way to Namjoon's studio. Jimin looked down at their entwined fingers and he smiled slightly as the thought about how warm his hand felt in his.
"Namjoon-ah," Hoseok called out as he knocked on their leader's door. They waited a few seconds before he opened the door and loud music blasted from the speakers. Namjoon was leaned forward staring at his screen. "Namjoon," Hoseok called. Namjoon jumped and turned around as he paused the music.
"You scared me," he said before he looked back at the screen to save and then back at Hoseok. "What is it?"
"We just got scolded by the managers," Jimin said with a pout.
"Yeah, no kidding," Namjoon said, amused. "I checked in your vlive today and I almost called you myself. I figured they'd do it anyway."
"What do you mean?" Hoseok said.
"You can't keep your hands off each other," he said simply, "You could be half way across the world and Jimin would still somehow find his way to your lap or have you in his arms," he added and the pair looked at each other in surprise.
"That's not true," Jimin said and Namjoon raised an eyebrow at them before he glanced at their joined hands. They both stared at him and then at their hands before they pulled away.
"Don't get me wrong," Namjoon said quickly, "It's sweet and I'm happy for you two and it's sickeningly cute that you're still in your 'honeymoon phase' but if you're not careful, you might get caught."
"Wait, hang on, get caught doing what exactly?" Hoseok said, the epitome of confusion on his face.
"Are you an idiot?" Namjoon said, "You can't have yourselves outed as boyfriends to the public just yet. Isn't that what Sejin scolded you about?"
Both the dancers froze.
"Boyfriends?!" They said and Namjoon just rolled his eyes and turned back around to face his screen.
"Just be more careful, you guys," their leader said nonchalantly.
"We're not boyfriends," Hoseok croaked out awkwardly. Namjoon turned back around.
"And my stage name is still Runch Randa," he said with a scoff.
"Namjoon-ah," Hoseok said in a serious tone, "We aren't boyfriends."
"What are you talking about?"
"What are you talking about?" Jimin said, bewildered.
"I don't have time for this, guys," he responded. "I'm not falling for it," he added quickly. Both Hoseok and Jimin just stared at him incredulously as he went back to work and started to play the loud music over the speakers once again.
Jimin sighed in frustration before he grabbed Hoseok's wrist and pulled him out of their leader's studio.
"Let's just go home," the younger said, "I'm tired," he whined and Hoseok agreed. The ride home was quiet with both of them on opposite sides of the van. Hoseok focused his attention on the view outside the window while Jimin kept going through his phone.
The word 'boyfriend' resonated in their minds.
Once they arrived home, they both kept about a meter's distance from each other, unsure of what to make of the whole situation.
"We're home," Hoseok said loudly as they walked in.
"Food?" A voice called out. Jungkook's.
"Please!" Jimin said as he hurried towards the kitchen. They walked in to find Jungkook, Seokjin and Taehyung on the dining table, eating takeout. There was an empty chair next to Jungkook and another one next to Seokjin. The pair reached for the one next to Jungkook and as their hands touched they pulled away far too quickly.
"S-sorry," Jimin said shyly.
"No, it's okay," Hoseok said as he rubbed the back of his neck, "I'll just sit over there."
"Right."
The three stared between them a bit confused. They both sat in silence as they ate the laid-out food on the table. After a few minutes of silence, Taehyung spoke.
"Okay, what happened?"
"We got scolded by Manager hyungs," Jimin said and Hoseok looked up at him. Their eyes met briefly before they both looked away.
"Is it because of the vlive?" Jungkook said with food still in his mouth.
"We didn't even do anything," Hoseok mumbled.
"Well I mean, the two of you can be very-" the youngest continued and Hoseok glared.
"We're not boyfriends," he said in frustration before he moved to get up.
"Hey, woah, no need for that," Seokjin said quickly as he placed a hand on his shoulder, "Don't be so harsh."
"Did you tell manager hyungs that?" Taehyung said with wide eyes.
"No," Jimin said, "We tried to tell Namjoon though."
"Wait, I'm confused, so are you guys officially broken up?" he asked and Jimin rested his head on his hands while Hoseok sighed loudly. The three looked at them worriedly.
"Jungkook, how long have me and hyung been dating?" Jimin asked and Hoseok sent him an incredulous look. Jimin shrugged.
"Isn't it a year now?" Jungkook said in question. "Though Manager hyungs didn't find out til a couple months ago."
'A year?!' Hoseok mouthed at his supposed boyfriend. Jimin stared back at him, just as bewildered. "Jimin, we need to talk," he said loudly and everyone looked at Hoseok in concern.
Jimin sighed as he stood up and walked after a frustrated looking Hoseok. They walked straight into their shared room and Jimin closed the door behind them.
"Uh Hyung, why does everyone think we're boyfriends? And how did we not know about this?"
"I'm just as confused as you are," he stated before he furrowed his brows, "Did something happen before? To make them think we were?"
"Hyung, I can't even remember a week ago," Jimin whined before he collapsed on his bed, "What more a whole year?"
"Did we wake up in an alternate reality?"
"Hyung," Jimin groaned as he rolled onto his stomach, "What are we supposed to tell them?"
"The truth," Hoseok said with a shrug," We're not boyfriends. Nor do we plan to be," he added and Jimin nodded. Jimin didn't understand why the latter part bothered him a little. "Maybe after our schedule though, I think I'd just get frustrated trying to convince them otherwise."
"That's true," Jimin said with a sigh.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Hoseok said quickly as he sat on Jimin's bed and rested his hand on the younger's neck, "It'll blow over."
"I know but-" Jimin started as he looked up at him but was interrupted when the door opened.
"Oh my God, my eyes!" Taehyung said as he covered his face. The pair stared at him in confusion and looked at each other. The realisation hit them of what it might have looked like with Jimin looking up, Hoseok leaning down while his hand was on Jimin's neck. "I was worried you guys got into a fight but I guess I was wrong," he said as he looked away from the pair.
"Tae, this is not what it looks like," Hoseok said but Taehyung opted to cover his ears.
"No details. I've seen enough!"
"Taehyung!" Hoseok said loudly but the younger decided to run away. The older cursed under his breath.
"He's only teasing," Jimin said as he planted his face on the bed.
"I know but this doesn't exactly help us," Hoseok said, "Okay, we're gonna have to lay off for a bit."
"Lay off?"
"As in hands off."
"What? Each other?" Jimin asked as he sat up. "When have we ever been hands on?" He added incredulously.
"I just mean, we need to be more aware of what we do around each other," Hoseok said with a sigh before he collapsed on his own bed.
Hoseok's plan (though neither realised at the time it was made) was very difficult to follow through. The pair only became more aware of just how drawn they were to each other. From sitting next to each other to stolen glances and hugs to hand holding.
They caught themselves a few times before they changed their actions. In one of the waiting rooms, Jimin almost pulled Hoseok to sit on his lap but midway, Hoseok turned around in question. Jimin muttered a sorry before he released him and Hoseok simply moved to sit as far away from the man as possible.
The others began to notice and assumed it was due to the managers' words of warning. However, it changed when they started to avoid each other even within private settings.
One day Hoseok grabbed Jimin's hand to lead them into the dance studio but Jimin pulled his away and they made brief eye contact. Hoseok just pursed his lips and walked ahead. The others behind them watched the scene in mild concern.
"Are you guys okay?" Jungkook said worriedly to Hoseok as they took a break during dance practice. "You guys are acting different," he added as he glanced at Jimin who was sat on the corner goofing around with Seokjin.
"What do you mean?" Hoseok said casually, "Nothing's changed."
"Did you two get into a fight?"
"No, we're fine, Jungkook," he said and Jungkook narrowed his eyes.
"If you're having relationship proble-"
"Jimin and I are not in a relationship," he said in a frustrated tone. Jungkook's eyes widened and Hoseok only realised how loud he was. He looked around the room and noticed the shocked expression across everyone's faces.
"We aren't," Jimin said, "And we never were and never will be," he said though he didn't expect his voice to waver. Hoseok looked at him in confusion. "Let's just practice already," he insisted and Hoseok simply stood up and gestured for everyone to get into positions. No one could focus. Their minds were fixated on Jimin and Hoseok.
After a couple more rounds of the songs, a few of the producers and Songdeuk came in the room. They went through entire set lists and triple checked stage positions and choreography. There was an air of professionalism in the room but it also left the members feeling slightly disconnected. Songdeuk noticed the boys being quiet during breaks and assumed it was due to exhaustion however, Hoseok and Jimin noticed the whispers between the others, as if they were trying to figure out what happened between the two dancers.
"Okay, good job, guys," Songdeuk said as he clapped his hands, "Thanks for the hard work. Get some rest and we'll see you tomorrow."
Hoseok and Jimin's eyes met and knew the others had something planned. Hoseok felt Namjoon's arm around his shoulders and Jimin was unsurprised when Taehyung linked their arms together.
For the ride home, the members divided into two cars: Seokjin, Taehyung and Jimin in one and Jungkook, Namjoon, Yoongi and Hoseok in the other.
"Okay, what happened?" Namjoon was the first to speak. Hoseok sighed.
"Nothing happened."
"Did you two break up?"
"How can we break up when we were never together?" Hoseok asked as he buried his face in his hands. "Besides, Jimin doesn't feel that way about me."
"Jimin hyung loves you, hyung," Jungkook said softly.
"Right," Hoseok said, "You think that because we hold hands and hug? We do that with all of you too, you know."
"Because of the way he looks at you, idiot," Yoongi said nonchalantly. Hoseok narrowed his eyes at him.
"What are you talking about?"
"I don't know why you're acting like you don't know," the older said with a sigh, "He's had a crush on you since he first met you."
"You're being ridiculous," Hoseok said and he was satisfied to find they arrived at their dorms, "I'm tired. See you later," was all he said before he opened the door and walked out. Jungkook frowned.
When Seokjin walked into the car, he wasn't surprised to find Jimin resting his head on Taehyung's shoulder, their arms linked. Seokjin opted to sit on the single seat next to them.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Taehyung said and Jimin sighed.
"There's nothing to talk about."
"That's a lie."
"Jimin, whatever happened, we're all here for you," Seokjin said, "And if you and Hoseok broke up-"
"Stop saying that," Jimin said before he sat up straight. "We can't break up when we're not together," he added but the confused expressions on their faces discouraged the younger. "Forget it."
A few seconds of silence passed.
"You know, Hoseok talks about you a lot," Seokjin said simply, "His eyes light up when he brings up your name and you could tell his smile was real."
Jimin felt his heart skip a beat.
"Why are you telling me this?" Jimin asked before he pursed his lips.
"Just making sure you know he still loves you."
"Jimin, if you guys are fighting, you need to work it out," Taehyung said with a frown, "It's already affecting everyone."
"Why is it everyone's business what happens between hyung and I?"
"We're a family," Taehyung stated and Jimin turned his head to look out the window. They sat in silence for the rest of the ride and when they arrived at their dorms, Jimin excused himself and didn't bother to wait for the two before he was already on route upstairs.
"Maybe we should just break up," Hoseok said as Jimin walked into the room.
"Oh God, not you too," Jimin said, "Hyung, how can we break up if-"
"Yeah but wouldn't it make it easier if we just told them we broke up and then it'll be like this never happened?"
"True," the younger said, "But they're being really intense about this, hyung. It kinda feels like they're more invested in our relationship than we are."
"Jiminie, we're not invested at all," Hoseok said as he walked forward and placed his hands on the younger's shoulders. They held each other's gaze for a while before they both looked away. "I don't even get where this all came from. Do we really act like we're in a relationship?"
"According to the others, yes."
"But I mean, we don't treat each other any differently to the others, do we?"
"I don't think so."
"I care a lot about you, Jimin," Hoseok said softly as he stepped forward. Jimin didn't understand why he held his breath.
"I care a lot about you too," the younger whispered out though he refused to meet his hyung's eyes.
"I'm confused," Hoseok stated as he moved his hand to rest underneath Jimin's chin. "Can I just try something?" He asked quietly before he lifted the younger's chin.
"Hyung, what are you doing?" Jimin asked as their eyes met.
"I don't know."
Hoseok leaned forward and Jimin closed his eyes. The older was surprised at Jimin's willingness for his request but then proceeded to close his eyes and tilt his head. Their lips barely touched before Jimin spoke.
"I don't do this with the others, Hobi hyung," he whispered.
"Me either," Hoseok responded. Their lips lightly pressed together.
"Guys, are you in there?" Namjoon's voice echoed as he walked into the room. The pair pulled apart and Namjoon had wide eyes as he realised what he walked into, "Sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt. I mean-uhm-we're sorry we tried to meddle in your relationship but we just care about you guys a lot," he said in almost one breath, "I mean I'm glad you guys worked it out but I guess I'll just-" he cut himself off as he walked out the door, his face slightly red.
The pair sighed.
"What do we do now?" Jimin asked with a pout.
"Think they'd still believe us if we said we weren't in a relationship?"
"No," Jimin paused, "Just-Let's just not do anything."
"What?"
"I mean, why stop them into thinking we're in a relationship?"
"Because we're not?"
"But we didn't even notice, hyung," Jimin said.
"Jimin, we have to tell them the truth."
"Is it such a bad idea for you?" Jimin asked as he pursed his lips, "The idea of being in a relationship with me?"
"What? That's not what this is about," Hoseok said in confusion, "And why are you so okay with this? Doesn't it bother you too?"
"It did! But then I-" Jimin cut himself off with a sigh, "I'm not bothered by the same things you are."
"What does that even mean?"
"I'm just confused okay?"
"Hey, Jimin it's okay," Hoseok said softly as he moved closer. Jimin pursed his lips and stepped back.
"Look, I'll talk to you later okay?" he said before he walked out of the room. Hoseok sighed and eventually opted for sleep.
Jimin figured he needed to talk to someone about what was going on in his head. He walked into Taehyung's room and opened it to find his friend laid on his bed as he used his phone.
"Did you two make up?" Taehyung said nonchalantly without looking away from his screen.
"Kind of," Jimin said before he laid next to him. "Taehyung," he took a deep breath, "I think I want to be Hobi hyung's boyfriend."
Taehyung furrowed his brows before he locked his phone and put it down. He stared at Jimin, a little lost.
"What?"
"I think I want to be-"
"Jimin, you're not making any sense," he said and Jimin rolled his eyes. "You're already his-"
"No, I'm not!"
Taehyung sat up.
"So you really aren't together anymore?" He asked in concern. Jimin stared at his friend, surprised by the worried expression on his face. Jimin decided to ignore the question.
"He kissed me," he said simply before he placed his fingers over his own mouth. "Well, I kissed him back," he added as though in a daze.
"Did you like kissing hyung?" Taehyung said, still somewhat lost.
"Yes," he said, "I did."
"Do you want to keep kissing hyung?" His friend asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah," Jimin said and surprised himself. He pursed his lips in worry. "Oh no," he muttered before he covered his face. He felt his cheeks heat up.
"What?"
"I think I really really like Hobi hyung," he admitted shyly. Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"Wow, really?" The other said, his voice dripped with sarcasm, "I had no idea. Oh my God."
"Shut up," Jimin whined as he smacked his arm.
Meanwhile, Hoseok was laid on the bed, his phone in his ear in the hopes that whoever he was calling would pick up.
"Hello?" A soft voice said and Hoseok let out a loud sigh.
"Hoseokie?"
"Noona, help," Hoseok whined and he could almost see his sister's face of concern.
"What happened? Are you okay?" She asked quickly, "Sorry, I need to take this," she said to whoever she was with.
"Ah, noona, if I'm bothering you-"
"No, don't worry about it. I just got off work. So, what is it? What's wrong?"
"I just-I think I like someone?"
Silence.
"Hoseok, what?"
"I don't know what to do."
"What happened?"
"I just always thought of this person as a really really good friend but now, I feel weird. Like whenever I see them, my heart pounds too fast and I smile too much. It's kind of always been like this but now I feel like I'm more aware."
"Oh Hoseok," she said with a sigh, "Have you told them how you feel?"
Hoseok went on a tangent about complications and reasons not to while his sister simply listened in intrigue.
"Is this person someone who works in Bighit?" She said and Hoseok kept silent. "Have you talked to the others?"
"They think we're already together," he said in frustration.
"Well then why not just go for it?"
"It's not that simple."
"Hoseok," she started, "You're never going to know unless you talk directly to this person about how you feel. Whether or not you do is up to you but if you don't, it's going to eat you up inside. I know you."
"Okay," he said quietly, "I'll talk to you later. Thanks, noona."
"Bye, Hoseokie!" She said cheerfully before he hung up. He let out a breath before he pulled a blanket over his head and tried to sleep.
When he opened his eyes again, the room was dark and he could hear a faint noise from behind him. He turned around and was surprised to see Jimin staring at his phone, earphones in and a wide smile on his face.
"What are you doing?" Hoseok said and Jimin dropped his phone. The volume was turned up high and Hoseok squinted his eyes at the sudden noise and light. Jimin scrambled to pick up the phone. "Is that-Is that me?" He said in confusion as he sat up and yawned. "Let me see."
"No," Jimin said quickly as he took hold of the phone. Hoseok smirked before he reached out to grab the phone, "Ah, hyung!" The younger yelled as his phone nearly slipped out of his hands.
"Are you watching videos of me, Jiminie?" Hoseok teased before he managed to take the phone into his own hands. A fancam of Hoseok during a fansign was on screen. Hoseok would laugh and then the video would play background music as the camera continued to focus on him.
"I can explain," Jimin said as he tried to grab the phone back. However, when he pulled on the phone, Hoseok tightened his grip which caused Jimin to fall slightly backwards. Hoseok reached out in instinct and tried to wrap his arm around the man to pull him forward instead but Jimin had already lost his footing.
Hoseok tried to maneuver them to fall on the side but he ended up landing right on his back with Jimin on his stomach. He let out a hiss of pain and Jimin groaned before he lifted himself up slightly on his knees.
"Are you okay?" The younger asked worriedly. Hoseok closed his eyes and opened them.
"Yeah I think so. Are you?" He asked before he brought his hands up to rest on Jimin's cheeks in concern.
"Fine," Jimin said quickly as he realised what position they were in. Hoseok pursed his lips as Jimin's eyes travelled from his eyes to his lips and back again.
"Sorry," Hoseok mumbled.
"I was the one who fell," Jimin whispered. The two stared at each other for a few seconds.
"Jimin, I-"
"Are you guys okay?" Seokjin said loudly as he opened the door, "We heard shouting and a loud bang and-" he interrupted himself as he turned on the lights. The pair looked at the door and Seokjin froze. "Are you kidding me?!"
"Are they okay?" Yoongi's sleepy voice said from behind him.
"Yeah, just fine," Seokjin said with narrowed eyes at the pair.
"This is not what it looks like," Jimin said as he looked between Hoseok and their hyungs.
"Jimin, what are you doing?!" Taehyung said loudly and Jimin cringed at the volume. Hoseok dropped his hands from Jimin's face and used them to cover his own.
"Jungkook, don't look!" They heard Namjoon yell and Jungkook whined out a 'Hyung! Stop covering my eyes!' simultaneously.
"Oh my God, just get out!" Jimin yelled as he moved to kneel but ended up straddling Hoseok's lap.
"You're shameless," Yoongi said nonchalantly. Jimin felt the heat rise to his cheeks.
"Shut up," he said loudly and Seokjin just moved to close the door.
"That's still not the most gay thing we've done amongst the seven of us though," Jungkook said and Taehyung smacked his arm. Once the door was closed, they heard them walk away though not without a few shouts of 'keep it down!' And 'don't break the bed!'
"I can't believe that just happened," Jimin said with his eyes closed. Hoseok sighed before he sat up, which caused Jimin to draw back in surrpise. Before the younger could move though, Hoseok wrapped his arms around him to keep him still.
"Just kiss me already," Hoseok said in a frustrated tone.
"W-what?"
"I said kiss me," Hoseok continued, "Clearly this is going to keep happening so just shut up and listen to your hyu-"
"Fine!" Jimin said before he wrapped his arms around Hoseok's neck and pulled him into a kiss.
Hoseok tilted his head and tightened his grip around the other while Jimin loosened his arms and let his hands rest on the back of Hoseok's neck before he gradually pulled away.
"Wow," Jimin breathed out. Hoseok grinned.
"What the hell do we tell the others now?"
"Let's worry about that later," Hoseok whispered, "Just keep kissing me."
"Okay."
The Next Morning
"So," Hoseok said as he stared at the ceiling,
"Yeah," Jimin mumbled next to him. A few seconds of silence. "I've never done that with the others before," he said as he shifted his position to face him.
"I'd hope not," Hoseok said with an amused grin. Jimin smacked his chest.
"This is so complicated," the younger said with a sigh, "How are we supposed to explain this to the others now?"
"What if we just not?"
"What?"
"I mean we've gone this long without it affecting us."
"That's cause we didn't know!" Jimin whined before he sat up and looked down at Hoseok. "But I mean-you said you wanted to fake break up."
"Do you really want to pretend fight and not speak to each other? Because clearly us staying away from each other was a bad idea."
"No," he said with a pout. "But then wouldn't that mean they keep thinking of us being in a relationship when we're not? Are you really okay with that?"
"I mean, it wouldn't be difficult if we were in one," he mumbled and Jimin widened his eyes.
"What?"
"It wouldn't be difficult if we were just in one," Hoseok said casually as he met Jimin's gaze.
"You and me? Together?"
"Yeah," the older said as he sat up. He scratched the back of his head, "I mean-only if you wanted to be."
"No, I do," Jimin said quickly but Hoseok's surprised reaction caused his cheeks to redden, "I mean-yes, yeah I do want to be together. With you."
"Good."
"Good."
Jimin bit his lip.
"Do you want to be with me?" The younger asked and Hoseok stared at him in confusion.
"Isn't that obvious?"
"Not really."
"I like you, Jiminie," Hoseok admitted. Jimin pursed his lips and he felt like clutching his heart, "I like you a lot."
"Wait, stop," Jimin said as he held his hand out to cover Hoseok's face, "It's too much."
"What is?"
"Don't smile like that. My heart can't take it."
"You're being silly," Hoseok said with a laugh and Jimin covered his ears.
"That too."
"Okay, stop," Hoseok said before he cupped Jimin's face and gave him a kiss. Jimin giggled at the action.
"I like you too, hyung," Jimin admitted with a small smile. Hoseok looked away.
"Okay, I understand, this is too much," the older teased, "How are we supposed to be together if we can't even look at each other?"
"Hyung!" Jimin whined before he tackled him back onto the bed. Hoseok laughed. Jimin kissed him again. "Should we tell the others?" Jimin asked shyly and Hoseok scoffed.
"They'll be so confused."
"I mean, they deserve to know."
"More kisses first?" Hoseok asked with a wink. Jimin's cheek flushed.
"Fine."
An hour later
"Wait, so you really weren't together?" Namjoon asked, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Nope," Jimin said with a wide smile. He and Hoseok stood in front of the others, their fingers entwined.
"But now you are?" Taehyung asked, looking equally confused.
"Yep," the younger said with a grin. Hoseok turned to look at Jimin and smiled at how bouncy and happy the other was.
"So the last year was just you being friends?" Seokjin said. The couple nodded.
"I thought it was supposed to be secret and that's why you never brought it up," Jungkook said with a pout, "We're sorry we didn't believe you."
"What made you think we were in the first place?" Hoseok asked and Yoongi sighed.
"I saw the two of you," he paused, "before the performance. Jimin was nervous as hell and then you just cupped his face and told him he was going to be okay."
"But I do that to-"
"And then you kissed his cheek and he cupped your face and said thank you and-"
"Okay maybe that was-"
"And then for the rest of the night, he clung to you like a koala and-"
"Okay I get it!" Hoseok said with a now red face. "I just did what felt natural to me okay?"
"Does that mean there'll be more lovesick stares?" Taehyung asked with a smirk.
"What lovesick-" Jimin started but everyone sent them a look and he shut his mouth.
"Does this mean Namjoon has to have another talk with manager hyungs?" Jungkook asked and the two stared at him in question.
"Hey, hyungs were the ones asking questions, I just told them I didn't know much," Namjoon admitted. Jimin let out a breath and closed his eyes. He was about to speak before he felt a pair of lips press against his cheek.
"Hyung!"
"Don't worry, Jiminie," Hoseok said, "We'll be okay," he added as he squeezed his hand. Jimin smiled back.
"Okay, we're done here," Yoongi said before he stood up. The others followed though not without the younger ones teasing the pair.
"Stop giving them a hard time," Seokjin scolded as Taehyung started taking zoomed in photos. The oldest rolled his eyes and left the scene.
"You're just jealous you don't get to kiss Hoseok," Jimin muttered at Taehyung.
"I told you that in confidence!" Taehyung yelled but was dragged away by Jungkook.
"Me too, hyung, me too," he added and Taehyung widened his eyes.
"We're victims!" He called out.
"What did they just say?" Hoseok said as he looked between Jimin and the other two.
"Nothing."
"Did they just say they wanted-" Hoseok was cut off by a kiss. "That's not fair. You keep interrupting me with-" Another kiss.
"Sorry," Jimin mumbled.
"No you're not," Hoseok said with a grin.
"Nope," the younger said with a wide smile. "Not even a little bit."
"So," he started as he wrapped his arms around Jimin, "You were watching videos of me last night? Do you do that a-"
Jimin interrupted him. Again.
Hoseok had no complaints.
End.
