Holly’s owner sighed for the fifth time since they arrived at the café about an hour ago, looking from the box on his hand, a Phone he remembered his owner tell him once, to the grey haired person at the counter. This was the fourth time that week that they went to the café, at first he didn’t really mind it since it means more walks for him and more time to be with his workaholic owner, but this was just starting to get pitiful. For the past three weeks they’ve been constantly going to the café just because his owner seemed to have developed a crush on the boy working there and was having problems in trying to approach him but today was worse than the others, firstly because he can’t really do anything inside the cafe and second was that his owner would not stop sighing, though Holly loved his owner very much he was starting to get annoyed at him every time he looked at the other and sighed, so he decided to just do something with his own hands, well paws to be more specific, but that’s not the point.
There were only a few customers at the café at the time since it was midnight and no normal person would be there at that time, but alas Min Yoongi, his owner, was not a normal person. In the span of an hour his owner had sighed for the umpteenth time looking longingly at the worker who was chatting up a blonde haired customer as he was cleaning the other unoccupied tables surrounding him. They seemed to be laughing at something when his owner sighed again and it just got on Holly’s nerves. He made a break for it running towards the grey haired man he was a few more feet away when he felt his leash stopping him from getting closer, so he just yipped until it got the others attention.
Yoongi immediately went to him to hush him up, seeing that everyone in the café had turned to look at them “Umm… I’m sorry if my dog inconvenienced any of you he’s normally not like this” he said as he bowed to the other patrons in the café, “Just because they allow pets here doesn’t mean it should go yapping about, some people are trying to relax” an elderly man said in an annoyed voice, this in turn made Yoongi’s face go red in embarrassment and irritation, he was about to answer back when someone else suddenly spoke up “I’m sorry sir but as you did say pets are allowed here and their behavior is unexpected so you would expect that these kinds of things happens sometimes, and besides the man already apologized” Holly looks around and sees that the outburst came from the grey haired man which surprised him considering that the stranger looked like the type of person that would rather set a spider free than kill it, and it seems as though he’s not the only one who didn’t expect the comeback, most of the people around them were shocked except for the man he was previously talking to who was doubled over in laughter. “I swear the amount of disrespect in this generation” the elder muttered while taking his leave.
Once that was over Yoongi looked at the grey haired man and bowed “I’m really sorry for that, I really don’t know why he started barking, he’s normally well-behaved.” He said looking embarrassed. But the man only smiled and reached a hand over to pet Holly’s head who Yoongi was holding, “It’s ok I’m used to it, and besides this li’l pup is too adorable to get mad at, what’s his name anyway.” The man said cutely while rubbing Holly’s head, “Yeah sure the pups the adorable one and its’ name is what you want to know that’s absolutely what you told me a few minutes ago.” His friend whispered loud enough that only the shorter male, Holly realized that the male was as short as his owner probably shorter even, but he can’t really discern since he’s too small to tell, could hear well other than Holly who had good hearing since he was a dog. This comment made the grey haired man suddenly retract his hand from Holly’s head his own head whipping to look at his friend, when he looked back a few moments later he looked a little flushed.
“Well his name is Holly, and yes I know that sound like a girl name but my brother was the one who named him that.” Yoongi replied with a small smile. “Oh and I’m Yoongi by the way” He added while offering his hand for a handshake, “I’m Jimin, and I don’t really see anything wrong with his name considering my male cat is named Mira” Jimin answered with a smile while accepting the handshake.
Jimin and his owner started chatting with each other after that, Jimin’s friend, Taehyung he heard Jimin call him, butting in every once in a while to give Holly treats that he retrieved from his coat pocket. After a while Jimin customers started to pile in so Jimin had to take his leave.
“Why do you even have treats in your pocket?” Yoongi asked giving him a concerned look
“Oh, I have a dog, and Tannie really likes treats so I make sure to always have some on me” Taehyung replied while giving Holly more treats “And as you know this place allows pets inside which means more dogs, and having treats with me also means more dog friends” He added while rubbing Holly’s back.
“That actually makes a lot of sense, I’ll try that next time.”
They continue chatting until Jimin comes back claiming that he was done for the day and could finally leave, saying that he was done with his shift and just needed to fix his things, he went to what seemed like a backroom after that to probably get his things, while waiting for Jimin to return Taehyung states that he needs to leave since he “needs to dry-clean his socks” or whatever that means by that. Once Jimin returns he turns his head looking for his friend, he looked at Yoongi questioningly, “He said he needed to dry-clean his socks?” He answered. Jimin only nodded to that.
They were walking side by side with Holly leading them, he was just having fun going around until his owner stopped walking which subsequently also stopped him from continuing on the path, He looked back and saw that Yoongi was giving his phone to Jimin smiling widely, Jimin tapped on it a little and then handed it back to Yoongi. Jimin petted Holly’s head once before saying goodbye to them, going to the other direction they were headed.
He looked at his owner then, that was one of the happiest he’s been in a while and all Holly could think of was that he wanted to keep his owner happy and he’d do his best to keep it that way.

Yoongi spent the whole night texting Jimin and learning all about him, he was truly thankful that his dog, who was snuggled up against him at the moment, seemed to always know how to help Yoongi even in the oddest ways.
