Summary:

Jin is already in his mid-twenties, yet he is still struggling to get through medical school. Despite his own money problems and crappy living conditions, he can't help doing everything he can to help Yoongi, a teenage boy abused by his parents, and Taehyung, his innocent younger brother.

Namjoon is a hip-hop idol, loved by millions and by his adorable cousins Jimin and Jungkook. Despite being rich and famous, the only thing he wants is to have a family.

He's like the king of the world, with Jimin and Jungkook as the princes. Now all he needs is a queen.

Chapter Text

"Jiminie! Jungkookie! Get up! It's time for school!!!" Namjoon shouted from the kitchen, where he was making toast, the only thing he could cook without burning the house down (though it was still a possibility).

Jimin came barreling down the stairs, hair carefully arranged and dressed in a pair of tight black jeans. He was wearing smokey eyeliner and silver stud earrings. Namjoon's eyes bulged, "What? No way you're wearing that, go change Jimminie."

Jimin pouted, "Da- I mean, Uncle Namjoon," he complained, "this is what all the cool kids wear!"

Namjoon crossed his arms, "Not a chance, now wash off your makeup and put on some sweatpants."

Jungkook came down the stairs, hair messy and wearing a white t-shirt and sweatpants. Namjoon pointed at him, "See? You should dress like more like Jungkook."

"Jungkook looks like he just rolled out of bed!" Jimin argued.

"Exactly! Perfect look for not attracting attention, I don't want any girls flirting with you until you've graduated college and have a stable income."

"Da- Uncle Namjooooooonnn" Jimin complained

"Or boys" Namjoon added.

"You're so lame." Jimin pouted

Jungkook rubbed his eyes sleepily, "Huh? What's happening?"

"Nothing," Jimin cut in, grabbing a couple slices of toast, "We're gonna be late for school, let's go Kookie, Hoseok's here to pick us up." "Wait," Namjoon called after them, "I though I was sending you guys to school."

Jimin gave him apologetic look, "Sorry, it's not cool to have your dad drive you to school." Jimin said. "I'm not your dad," Namjoon called after him, but he was already out the door. Namjoon smiled to himself, having Jimin and Jungkook as his sons was a nice thought. He shook his head, no, it was just a thought. Someday he would start his own family. Have his own husband or wife, and his own two children, maybe three.

His phone rang, it was his brother, "Hyung," Namjoon greeted, "What is it?"

"Namjoon? This is Heonwoo, Junho's friend, he's a little... out of it right now. Can you take care of the kids for this week?"

Anger flashed through Namjoon, any father would be lucky to have kids like Jimin and Jungkook, yet all his brother does is drink and hook up with random girls at nightclubs. "Sure Heonwoo, may I ask what happened?"

"no." click

He hung up. Namjoon glared at the phone, frustrated, Jimin and Jungkook deserved better than this.

flashback

Two year old Jungkook hobbled over to Namjoon, "Daddy! Daddy! Look what I foun!" he held up a shiny charm bracelet, a couple links were broken. Namjoon ruffled his hair, "Wow Kookie! It's so pretty! Why don't you show your dad when he gets home?" he added, he looked up to see his brother Junho walk in, Namjoon smiled and waved at him.

Jungkook tugged at his shirt to get his attention and held the bracelet in front of his face, "You are Daddy silly!" Jungkook giggled, putting the bracelet in Namjoon's hand, "Wan you to have it! Iss a persent, jus for you!" Namjoon stared as his brother's expression hardened, he pat Jungkook on the head, "Thank you Kookie, but I'm not-"

Junho stormed across the room, "Jungkook, we're leaving." He grabbed Jungkook's wrist and yanked him away from Namjoon. Jungkook cried out and grabbed Namjoon's hand, "Daddy, help me! Dun wanna go!" Namjoon felt his heart break as he pried Jungkook's fingers off his, "Sorry Kookie, maybe next time."

Junho turned to glare at him, "There won't be a next time Joonie" he sneered, "I'm tired of you taking what's mine."

"Jimin!" He called, "We're leaving!" Jimin came down the stairs, "Now? Can't we st-" "Now Jimin!" Junho snarled impatiently. Jimin looked shocked, but he lowered his head and nodded, "Yes father."

flashback end

Despite what his brother had said, he ended up going out and getting drunk so much that Namjoon practically raised Jimin and Jungkook, he thought of them as his own, but he didn't want to fight with his brother.

He knew his brother was a little jealous of his success in the music industry. He was a trainee for five years before Namjoon joined, and in his first year, he was noticed for his producing and songwriting skills and hired as a producer. The following year he was given a chance to debut under the name Rapmonster. His brother quit that year. Namjoon didn't want to keep overstepping his boundaries, he was happy just taking care of them when they needed him, as long as they were happy, he was too.

He picked up his phone and messaged them, 'Have a great day at school, love you :)'
