July Goes Nuts

Summary:

In Japanese, "Reese" is "Riisu". "Squirrel" is "risu".
This realization led to fan art (and my first July Creativity Challenge).

Notes:

Behold my first effort as far as POI fan art! This exists entirely because "Reese" in Japanese is "Riisu" (long vowel) and "risu" (short vowel) means "squirrel" and TheaNishimori pointed this out to me while I was mispronouncing his name while recording a podfic of her work. So y'all can blame her =^.^=

I doubt I’ll be submitting fan art often, but it feels good to finally have this piece done. At least, in its most basic form.

So here's the prompt for this month: Stretch your muscles, step outside your comfort zone, and create something other than a fanfic.

Note: As part of some housekeeping, I've migrated the original prompt details over to my website.

My original Stretch Goal, if there were at least a dozen fills for this prompt, was to create an upgraded version of this pic (in full color and with better details), but alas. Though if anyone is interested in creating their own version, I thoroughly encourage it!

(See the end of the work for more notes and other works inspired by this one.)

Notes:

The original deadline was four months (Halloween), and those who got their fills in before my birthday counted double. Anyone who submitted a fill got to vote on my Voted Focus Fic list and offer prompts for future simple fan art or short podfics.

For reference, original details have been migrated to my website.
