Work Text:
Uraraka sat in the couch, tea in one hand and controller in the other as she flipped through channels on tv. A storm raged outside and she was trying to distract herself from how worried she was about you.
She placed the controller down as she stopped on some old cheesy sitcom and gently tugged at the fluffy covers she'd thrown over her shoulders earlier. You'd be fine, there was no need to worry, she thought.
Yawning and taking a sip of her tea, the turned to look outside, where the raging rainstorm continued. She watched in silence for a bit before turning her gaze to the tv and shaking her head, once again assuring herself that you'd be fine.
She nearly dropped her cup as the door unlocked and swung open, you standing in the genkan, soaked, muddy and miserable, holding a small box.
She placed her tea down on the coffee tabke and walked up to you, pulling off ypur jacket as you locked the door and placed the box down.
"What's in the box?" She asked, crouching down near it. You did the same.
"Take a look." You smiled, and Uraraka immediantly opened it.
"Awe! Puppy!" She called happily as she found the small creature inside. "Where did you find it?"
You frowned slightly, smile faltering. "Near the bakery."
Uraraka looked down at the wet puppy before getting up.
"Well, you both need a hot bath and you need new clothes, so let's go!"
You bathed and changed into your new clean clothes Uraraka got you before you both bathed the small puppy.
Uraraka couldn't understand why someone would abandon such a small, fluffy, and cute creature, but she knew for sure she wouldn't let it suffer ever again.
"Can we keep it?" She asked with a teary look as she held the small puppy wrapped in a towel in her hands.
"Fine.." You responded, losing to Uraraka's cute round face, as always.
"Yayy~!! You're the best!" She cooed, pecking you on the lips happily.
Your face warmed up as you stuttered out a 'thanks'.
You ran to a nearby pet store to get food and toys(this time with an umbrella and a raincoat)and Uraraka stayed home, thinking of names for the cute dog.
"Hmm~" She stared down at the white and orange puppy. "Tangerine? Orange? Pumpkin? "
The puppy barked. Uraraka perked up, smiling down at it. "Pumpkin?" The puppy barked again.
"Pumpkin it is!" She giggled soflty as she hugged Pumpkin close.
Pumpkin barked, looking up at her owners as they cooked.
Uraraka giggled. "I think Pumpkin is mad at us for making food and not giving her any."
You chuckled, sticking out your tongue at your dog as it tried to jump at your leg but you pulled away, resulsting on a clumsy fall for it.
Pumpkin barked again, now angry at you for tricking her and Uraraka tossed a carrot at her.
Pumpkin jumped up and bit it, but missed by a bit and the carrot fell on her face. Pumpkin barked angrily as she ran around, the carrot stuck to their fur.
You and Uraraka laughed at your dumb dog happily as it ran around the kitchen in circles trying to catch the carrot.
"Oh-"You laughed."-Dear."
Pumpkin growled and lunged foward, still trying to get the carrot.
They both turned to eachother, laughing at Pumpkin's antics.
You yawned and looked down, seeing Uraraka peacefully sleeping snuggled up to your chest as she snored silently.
Pumpkin sat, curled up into a ball in between your entlangled legs.
You smiled and turned off the tv before running you hands through Uraraka's soft hair.
You pulled the covers that sat on your feet and pulled them over your bodies.
You sank deeper into the couch and envolved Uraraka in your arms as you let yourslef drift off to sleep.
You blinked slowly, feeling groggy as you looked down at Uraraka, still half asleep as you furrowed your brows in confusion at the drooling female nestled in yout chest.
You gently slipped from under her, making sure not to wake her and Pumpkin.
You tip-toed to your kitchen, opening your fridge and fishing out ingredients for pancakes.
You hummed as you mixed the batter, still a bit sleepy and missing the warmth of Uraraka's body on top of yours. You smiled as you finished placing fruit atop the piles of pancakes on the two plates on your counter.
You backed away a bit, smiling proudly as you placed your hands on your hips and admired your work. You perked up as you saw a sleepy Uraraka step into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes as Pumpkin followed close behind.
"Morning, Ochako." You smiled as you wrapped your arms around her waist. "Mornin'...What you got there?" She asked, peeking over your shoulder.
You let her go, her running up to the counter as she waved her arms around.
"Pancakes!!"
You giggled and fished out forks for you both, handing her one and starting to dig in as you happily watched your girlfried gobble up pancakes.
You sank a bit deeper into your bath as you sighed happily, admiring the colorful swirls of your bathbomb's color as you smiled.
You climbed out of the bath, wrapping yourself in a towel and draining the water before heading to your shared bedroom with Uraraka.
You walked in, immediantly letting your wet towel drop to the floor as you began to get dressed.
"Uwah!!" You turned to a very flustered Uraraka as she hid under the covers of your bed.
You giggled and continued getting dressed, smiling softly at your girlfriend's cuteness.
You turned to her with a smile. "Okay, I'm dressed, you can look now~"
She gave you glare as she put down the covers and pouting, puffing out her very red cheeks childishly.
You hugged her tightly and pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head, humming happily. She looked up at you, pout turning into a giddy smile.
"Hey, hey~" She coos.
"Hm?" You tilt your head curiously.
"I wuuv youu~!!" She calls in a sweet voice, pulling you down to the bed.
She rolls so she's on top of you and lays her head down on your chest, humming in aproval as you wrap your arms around her.
"My hair's still wet, y'know. The pillow's gonna get soaked.
"We'll get another one." She speaks, muffled by your chest.
You chuckle. "Fine you win, I'll stay and cuddle you for now."
Pumpkin barks as she jumps up into your bed, curling into a ball near your legs.
"The whole gang's here." She jokes and you giggle as you feel her chuckle into your chest.
You're happy. She's happy. Pumpkin in is eternal bliss.
