Work Text:

*PRE-MOCHI*

The smouldering heat from the bright stage lights radiates onto Jimin’s face. You’d think by this time in his career he’d be used to the feeling—usually he is; rarely does he find the shining glow of the lights to be a bother.

However, today is just one of those days where every little inconvenience in his life manages to work their way under his skin. Days like this happen to everyone, where one can’t help but be frustrated and offended by every thing or person that crosses their path. Jimin usually has a day like this every few months, so it was bound to happen soon.

It’s just very inconvenient for it to happen in the middle of comeback season.

He loves his job—really, it’s great to be able to share his passion and craft with all of the world. Sometimes, though, it’s a bit strenuous to constantly have a smile plastered on his face. Today is one of those days where he just has to keep his grin plastered on at all times; the group is currently having a fanmeet and Jimin would never want to disappoint his fans with a grumpy or bothered attitude. Each fan he meets is special to him, and he wants them to have a joyous memory of their encounter together.

It’s just unfortunate that today of all days, the whole universe wants to get on his nerves.

It started when Hoseok decided to workout in their room at god knows how early in the morning. Apparently the gym located in their apartment complex is closed for renovations, so his roommate decided to get in his daily gains inside the comfort of their own house instead. Jimin’s peaceful sleep was promptly interrupted by the sound of Hoseok grunting his way through a workout circuit. After that lovely morning call, Jimin’s day just kept getting worse. Their schedule started quite early in the morning—every member needed to be ready, completely dressed, and filing into the company van by eight in the morning. The group’s dorm only has four bathrooms, and with seven members that can quickly become an issue during a hectic morning. Jimin found himself waiting outside the bathroom for forty-five minutes while Taehyung decided to take his precious time showering this morning. When his friend exited the restroom all squeaky clean and bright eyed, he questioned Jimin’s irritated face and terse stance with confusion.  Jimin only had twenty minutes left to shower, do his morning skincare routine, and get dressed before heading out, so he only grunted and hurried into the shower.

And to top all of that off, he’s also been completely ignored by his hyungs all day.

When he finally gotten ready and everyone was piling into the van, he asked aloud if they were stopping to get breakfast somewhere. When no one answered his question, Jimin assumed it was because too many voices were going back and forth in the car, it was normal for them to not hear him.

So he tried to motion for Namjoon, surely their leader would know if the team’s morning schedule allowed for a quick breakfast run. “Namjoon-hyung, are we getting breakfast this morning?”

His response: nothing but the sound of Namjoon chattering to Jungkook and Yoongi. From the sound of it, apparently the three were working on a track last night. Which is great and all, but the only thing on Jimin’s mind in that moment is breakfast.

Perhaps he didn’t hear, so Jimin tries again. “Hyung, are we going to have a breakfast stop this morning?”

Again. Nothing. Well isn’t that just great. Now I’m hungry and even more irritated.

Jimin grunted, tired of being ignored by his band members all morning; seeing Namjoon and Yoongi doting upon the youngest member, watching his hyungs soak in every word the youngest says with sparkling intent eyes really rubbed Jimin the wrong way and made the ugly green monster appear within the pit of his stomach.

The third youngest member looked around the van at his other members they were all off on their own world, paying no mind to him or his needs. So with a grimace, he plugged his headphones into his ears, turned his phone’s volume all the way up, and leaned back against the cushion of the van’s seat—tuning out the annoying world around him.

So now Jimin sits behind a table at the fansign, forcing his annoyance at the universe to fall into the back of his mind. He grits his teeth and tries to ignore the sweat sliding down his spine from the heat, causing the silk of his shirt to stick the wet skin of his back.

There’s only one fan left to talk to, and the groups already performed, so the event shouldn’t last much longer. Jimin watches as the final fan makes her way onto stage. He takes in her appearance as she stops and chats with Seokjin at the top of the table. He notices how peculiar the outfit she’s donning is; usually fans have been known to wear clothing or hairstyles that make them stand out at fanmeets, but he’s never quite seen a fan like this. The length of her tall body is covered in a flowing black dress, speckled with silver glittery stars and a pair of black combat boots cover her feet. Her lightly tanned skin glows in a almost unworldly manner under the stage lights and is dotted with freckles. Her pout is colored with an oxblood lipstick, and her strong gaze is defined by sharp winged lines. Her demeanor contrasts her dark appearance, she’s all giggles and smiles with the other members before Jimin.

However, he notices that she strays away from making contact with the members. The fan shakes her head when both Hoseok and Namjoon try to hold hands with her, and she backs away from Taehyung’s eager high five. Her hands stay steady behind her back throughout all interactions. Jimin thinks he spots a small black box grasped in her hands. When she finally arrives in front of Jimin—he’s seated at the very end of the table—she finally brings the box out from behind her back. With a smile on her face she says, “Ah, Jimin-ssi! I made these just for you!”

“Oh, you made something for me?” His eyes open wide. Ah, a gift for me! He hasn’t gotten any gift at this particular fansign (not that he minds), so it’s just a nice surprise that lightened up his cloudy day. “What’s your name?”

“Ami. That is my name,” the girl replies while pushing the box closer to his face.

Up close, Jimin can now see a purple velvet bow tied around the box that has a small tag attached. ‘For JIMIN ’ it reads, written in a beautiful English script. Well, Jimin thinks, that explains the foreign name , she must be a international ARMY then. “Ah Ami, what a fitting name! Thank you so much for the sweet gift. Where are you coming from? You’re very good at speaking Korean.” Really she was, when she introduced herself he couldn’t even detect an accent.

“Oh, I was born here in Seoul, that’s why I’m very good at it,” she says with a laugh.

Jimin raises his eyebrows at the answer. Hmm, that explains why Korean rolled off her tongue effortlessly. What an interesting fan. Like all his fans, Jimin would love to continue talking to her and learn more about her background and life, however from the corner of his eye he sees their manager eye him coolly.

Jimin nods at Seijin, understanding the event needs to wrap up. “Ah well, thank you so much Ami, was there anything you had to ask me?”

“Actually, inside the box there’s a note, Jimin-ssi. Along with the special treats I baked you. It has my wish for you written on it, read it before you eat the goodies okay?”

Jimin giggles at the girl’s insistence, “Okay I’ll make sure to.”

The security guard comes up to escort Ami from the scene, but before she leaves the table she turns and whisper yells at Jimin, “What’s inside the box is magically sweet!” She sends him a finger heart which he returns before she exits away from the group.

Well that was surely an interesting encounter.

Jimin’s mind gets swept away from the little black box he received as the group finishes up the event. They greet the fans one last time and say their individual goodbyes. Jimin’s irritation finds its way back into the forefront of his mind when he sees Jungkook rest his chin on Yoongi’s shoulder while the elder speaks to the fans. He feels his eyes start to roll towards the back of his head, but he stops himself, remembering that numerous fansites have their cameras aimed at the boys’ every movement. He physically has to turn around to not let his frustration show when he sees Seokjin reach over to pinch Jungkook’s cheek. The eldest hyung is saying something about how much their maknae has grown in the past few years to the fans, Jimin doesn’t really know exactly the words that leave Seokjin’s mouth.

He does know though, that Jungkook is receiving far too much attention from all the hyungs today.

Jimin usually doesn’t mind, heck he even likes to baby the youngest member too. Today though, he just really feels like being babied and doted upon. So, seeing Jungkook with all that attention just continuously irks him.

Why not me? He wants to whine.

It especially bothers him that even after he gives a short goodbye to the fans, his mood not allowing anything more, none of the other members notice that something is bothering him. Jimin would’ve thought that at least Yoongi would come up and ask him what was wrong, his hyung usually is so attentive towards his feelings, and typically Jimin can always rely on Yoongi to help console him and give him the attention he needs when he’s upset.

Yoongi though, just like all the other members, continues to not realise the rift in Jimin’s mood, even after they’ve left the venue and arrived back at their dorm. The fansign has been their only event for the day (they take up quite a large amount of time) so when they reach home the boys order in take out food and eat crowded around the living room television.

Jimin does not remember the black box until after he finishes his fried chicken dinner (not that he chose that, Seokjin did. They drew lots and let the winner choose what the group ate; Jimin’s luck that night turned out to be just as bad as it was in the morning). After eating the savory meal, his sweet tooth kicks in; so he digs out the black box remembering that the fan had said the contents inside were ‘magically sweet’.

He unties the dark purple ribbon and takes the lid off to find three pieces of pastel colored mochi nestled inside. A pink envelope is taped on the inside of the lid. Jimin peels it off and removes the heart sticker sealing it. He unfolds the letter inside and reads:

Jimin-ssi,

These mochi were crafted with love and magic in my very own kitchen for you. I, as your fan, want you to be happy in all you say and do. So please, you see, savor each bite. And all you need is to make a wish with all your might. While you eat this mochi, put your worries away. Your happiness will come and last for three days.

May your wish come true,

Ami

A chuckle falls from Jimin’s lips at the cute rhyme scheme of the letter, what a sweet and clever note. He folds the paper back up and pockets it, intending to put it in the drawer of his bedside table filled with all his other fan letters the company allows him to keep. He picks up a piece of mochi, one colored a pastel pink and sticks it into his mouth. The sweet and delicious taste of strawberries explodes in his mouth when he begins chewing. He lets out a large satisfied sigh, wow these are amazing.

Jimin feels a looming presence situated over his right shoulder as he finishes swallowing the mochi. He sets the box down on the couch beside him, and turns before he puts the second mochi into his mouth. Jungkook stands behind the couch, peering at him with his large round eyes. A slight pout is situated on the youngest’s lips, he licks his lips and points at the box on the couch, “Ah, Jimin-hyung can I have one? They look really good.”

Jimin grunts. After all the doting and attention Jungkook received today, surely he can’t expect Jimin to give up his precious gift. This was given to Jimin by his fan; he didn’t think he should have to share what was rightfully his with Jungkook. Besides, Jungkook’s already received so much today; he had a large pile of stuffed animals and other gifts he received at the event. Why couldn’t he just let Jimin have this one nice thing today, all to himself?

“No, there’s only three, Jungkook. These were a fan’s gift I’d like to eat them myself.”

“Now Jimin, come on,” A deep gravelly voice says from the other side of the living room. Jimin looks over to see Yoongi sitting on the floor next to Hoseok, the both of them watching some kind of action film on the television. “Why can’t you just give him one?”

Jimin blanches at this. Yoongi could not be serious right now, not after all the shit Jimin’s dealt with today. “Because they’re mine, Yoongi. Jungkook, you understand that, right?”

The younger looks between Yoongi and Jimin with a frightened look in his eyes, he slowly nods. However the obvious disappointment shows on his face.

“Jimin, you can’t be serious,” Yoongi stands and walks over towards the two younger members. “You’re being selfish right now, just let him have one. You’d still have another left.” Yoongi’s right hand reaches behind the couch and settles on Jungkook’s shoulder, he rubs the skin there and gives the youngest a consoling look.

Jimin feels his resolve crack at this. All the hyungs know how to do is baby Jungkook, even Yoongi!

“Fine,” he takes out the light cream colored piece of mochi and shoves it at Jungkook. “Take it. Now I’m going to sleep goodnight.” He grabs the box containing the last piece of green colored mochi and storms away, tears of frustration threatening to spill form his eyes.

Jimin ignores Jungkook and Yoongi’s voices calling after him as he travels upstairs. He rushes into the bathroom and angrily scrubs his face and body in the shower before heading into his room for the night. The door slams shut behind Jimin as he enters the room. He promptly throws his body underneath the light blue duvet on his bed. Jimin lays there for a few minutes, unable to find sleep, and eventually sits up.

He looks over to his nightstand where the box of mochi sits. Angrily he shoves the final piece of mochi into his mouth, the bittersweet taste of matcha settling over his taste buds. As he finishes chewing, Jimin wishes that he could be babied by his hyungs for once, rather than Jungkook. Then he rustles around in his bed for some time afterwards, a scowl settled on his features. Sleep eventually finds him though, and he finds himself repeating the wish over and over in his head as he slips into the darkness of his unconcious. I wish I could be babied by the hyungs. I wish I could be babied. I wish.

☆DAY 1☆

A crash and a thump right outside Yoongi’s door wakes up the rapper the next morning.

He blearily sits up in his bed, rubbing at his crusty eyes with confusion. The digital clock sitting on his bedside table reads 7:30 AM .

Yoongi curses under his breath. The group has today off, a rare day of rest Yoongi had been set on using to catch up on sleep. However, here he is, getting up out of bed—his tired joints cracking and popping as he stretches—at seven goddamn thirty in the morning in order to go investigate the cause of the disturbance.

His drowsy mind remembers to put a t-shirt on before walking out of his warm, cozy room. The rest of the dormitory is always kept so damn cold, Yoongi doesn’t even want to think about how much their electricity bill must be since the other members keep the air conditioner running all the time. Despite the layer covering his body, a shiver still runs up Yoongi’s spine when he exits his room. A soft stream of cool morning light shines slightly from the window located at the end of the hallway.  The chilly air adds to the ominous and peculiar atmosphere in the dorm, for when Yoongi peers down the dimly lit hallway he sees not a living breathing soul.

I could’ve sworn I heard someone out here.

Yoongi continues to patter down the hallway, his bare feet hitting the hardwood flooring the only sound besides the light humming of the A/C. He passes by Jimin and Hoseok’s shared room and sees their door open. He sticks his head in briefly and notes that Hoseok is still in his bed, the steady rise and fall of his comforter a cue that he’s sleeping peacefully.

Yoongi notes that Jimin’s bed is empty, though. Hmm maybe he’s taking up early morning runs again?

Jimin used to wake up in the morning everyday, far too early in Yoongi’s opinion, and go for a nice jog around the neighborhood of their old dorm a few years ago. When their group gained a surge in popularity, this task became difficult for Jimin to do without getting hounded by fans or paparazzi so he stopped. Now that they moved to a highly secured and private community, Yoongi wouldn’t be surprised if the younger had taken up the hobby again.

A rustling noise comes from the direction of the kitchen, causing Yoongi to jolt. Right, I’m supposed to see what’s making all this fuss. With a soft sigh, Yoongi continues down the hallway, towards the kitchen. All the other members’ doors are closed, which raises some alarms. Typically doors in their dorm are kept closed only when someone’s inside a room. If everyone else is asleep and in bed, then the person inside the kitchen could only be Jimin. But if the younger is out for a jog like Yoongi predicted (really there’s no other reason for Jimin to be up this early otherwise), then who else could be in the dorm right now?

Dread fills Yoongi’s body as his mind races with the numerous possibilities of who the intruder in the kitchen could be. A burglar? A murderer? Perhaps even a crazed fan that somehow was able to get past security? Fuck, why does it have to be me who has to deal with this? Yoongi has a half a mind to go and alert his other members of the intruder, however he decides against that. It would only alert the intruder that someone in the house is awake. As his anxious thoughts race throughout his head Yoongi doesn’t pay attention to where he’s walking and all of a sudden the floor slips out from under him. The bottom of Yoongi’s bare foot makes contact with some sort of gooey light pink substance spilled on the hardwood floor, he loses his balance and slips.

With a bang, Yoongi’s body hits the floor. He lays there spread eagle stretched across the hardwood, the gooey mystery substance now seeping into the cotton of his white T-shirt.

Ew, what the fuck?

A groan slips past his lips as he sits up. He turns over to look at whatever it was that caused him to slip. “Oh my god, fuck,” his voice carries a whine as he takes in the now pink stain settling in on his shirt. He quickly shucks the material off, cold air be damned—Yoongi would rather freeze his nipples off than have whatever the gross wetness on his shirt is touch his skin.

The door to Seokjin’s room opens slowly. Oh so now someone else wakes up. Yoongi thinks begrudgingly.

“What’s going on out here?” The eldest’s voice sounds deep and rough this early in the morning.

Yoongi’s eyes widen as he realizes there’s no way the kitchen intruder didn’t just hear that, now they are aware they are not the only conscious being in this house. He hurriedly shushes Jin and quietly shouts, “Be quiet. Someone's in the kitchen!”

Seokjin’s brow furrows and he ducks down to get closer to Yoongi. His voice comes out as a whisper, “Well okay, why are we whispering?” He turns back around to look and sees that the door to Hoseok and Jimin’s room is left ajar. “It’s probably just Hoseok or Jimin in the kitchen. Also, why is there yogurt all over the floor?”

They both look down at the pink mess covering the hallway flooring and the white shirt in Yoongi’s hands.

Yogurt? That’s what it is? Yoongi brings the shirt up to his nose and sniffs the soiled material. The telltale scent of artificial strawberry flavoring and dairy floods his nostrils. I guess it is yogurt. “I don’t know, that’s what I’m trying to figure out right now. There was a bang against my door this morning that woke me up. I came out in the hall and heard someone in the kitchen and then slipped on this yogurt.”

“Slipped into this yogurt.”

“What?” Yoongi questions. He bends down to wipe up the remaining yogurt on the floor, there’s no way the stain will come out of the shirt so he might as well wipe up the rest of the mess with it before trashing it.

“You slipped on and into the yogurt Yoongi.” Seokjin stiffles his chuckles behind one of his hands. Apparently it’s never too early for one of Seokjin’s infamous wisecracks.

“I don’t think that’s right, for me to slip into it wouldn’t have to be in front of me? Well, I guess it was, but-” Yoongi shakes his head and throws his soiled shirt at Seokjin, “the technicality of pronouns isn’t important right now. What is important is that someone is in our kitchen.”

A voice in the back of Yoongi’s mind points out that if there was an intruder in the dorm, they would’ve already came to see who was making so much noise in the hallway. He pays this no mind though, “We need to see who it is.”

“You’re being ridiculous, Yoongi.” Seokjin starts to walk down the hallway and motions for a stockstill Yoongi to follow. “If someone broke in our alarm system would’ve gone off.” He throws the soiled shirt back at Yoongi’s face. “Also throw that away, I don’t want your mess.”

Yoongi nods and follows. Seokjin does make a good point. This dormitory came equipped with a state of the art alarm system, and there wasn’t any ringing or buzzing going off when Yoongi woke up. Perhaps it is Jimin in the kitchen after all.

The two men round the corner and click on the kitchen lights. The sight that meets them there stops them in their tracks.

Seokjin’s jaw drops and Yoongi’s arms fall to his side, the soiled shirt floats out of his grasp and lands on the kitchen tiling. It seems that Seokjin was wrong, and there really is in fact an intruder in their kitchen.

Sitting on the floor, next to the open and obviously rummaged through refrigerator, is a tiny child around the age of two.

His pitch black hair curls in ringlets around his tiny ears, his pale skin carries a light pink tint to it as if the child were constantly blushing. The child’s obviously the cause for the yogurt spill in the hallway, judging from the light pink substance smeared all over his chubby cheeks. He notices Seokjin and Yoongi’s presence and drops the beaten yogurt cup from his tiny chubby hands. A tiny gasp slips from the baby’s lips, his small pink lips forming an ‘o’ shape.

“Wh-why is there a baby in the kitchen, Yoongi?”

“I was just about to ask you the same thing.”

Silence fills the kitchen as Yoongi, Seokjin, and the child continues to look back and forth between each other. When Yoongi and Seokjin meet gazes, their eyes mirror each other—fear, confusion, and hilarity shine brightly in their panicked gazes.

For some reason, the baby decides it’s a great idea to stand up and start barreling towards the two men. Yoongi can see the determination in the small child’s eyes, the little glint in his chubby-cheeked grin as he rushes forward set on covering the bottom of Yoongi’s legs in a sticky yogurt mess.

“YOONIE!” the child shouts excitedly before he jumps and latches onto an astounded Yoongi’s calf.

Yoongi’s jaw drops. What the fuck?

He knows my name? Well, at least a form of my name?

“Did the baby just call you ‘Yoonie’? Or am I just crazy?” Seokjin’s bewildered voice calls out.

Yoongi looks down at the little human attached to him. The little boy peers up at him with an extremely familiar looking eye smile and buries his sticky face into the side of Yoongi’s leg. “Yes, he just did.”

Suddenly, Namjoon slowly enters the kitchen, scratching his head and blinking at the brightness of the overhead light. “What in hell’s name is going on?” He leans forward squinting hard at the body currently attached to Yoongi. Their leader’s eyes blow open wide and all of his sleepiness seems to disappear as his voice raises three octaves, “Why is their a baby clinging to Yoongi?!”

Seokjin walks over a places a hand onto Namjoon’s shoulders, “That’s a good question, Namjoon. A very good question.”

After a slightly chaotic ten minute struggle—trying to get the rest of the still sleeping members up and out of bed plus dealing with a very confused baby babbling nonsense proved to be a difficult task—Namjoon finally manages to get everyone into the dorm's living room for an emergency meeting. The leader currently stands in front of the living room TV, the rest of the group either spread out on the floor near the coffee table or lounging on the couch. The cute intruder took it upon himself to latch onto Yoongi (or as the child calls him - 'Yoonie') and currently is sitting atop the rapper's lap.

Jungkook walks into the room last and blearily looks around at everyone. "Why are we up so early on our day off, Namjoon-hyung?" his gruff voice questions. The youngest absentmindedly scratches his stomach as he squints at the members sitting on the couch. "What could possibly be so important we need to have an 'urgent' meet-" his voice dies down as his gaze lands on Yoongi's figure.

The first thing he notices is the elder's befuddled expression which is the first thing that lets him know something is off this morning. Usually this early in the day, one can only see a drowsy or barely awake expression on Yoongi's face. However, now his lips are pulled in an awkward grimace as he tries to balance the small body jumbling on his lap. “Wait… .is that a baby? "W-why is Yoongi-hyung holding a baby? Don’t tell me…."

“No!” Yoongi shout out adamantly, “God no! It’s not mine.”

"That's why I called this meeting, Jungkook." Namjoon turns and gestures for the youngest to find a spot on the ground. Jungkook hesitantly moves further into the room, eyeing the giggling child suspiciously as he makes his way to sit next to Hoseok at the coffee table. Namjoon continues speaking, "Now, I know it's quite early on our day off to be having a meeting, trust me I'd rather be asleep right now myself, but as you can all tell we need to discuss the elephant in the room."

Hoseok huffs tiredly from the floor, "That's for sure." He turns towards the baby in Yoongi's lap and coos at it, "I'm all for cute babies, but it's pretty strange to have one in the dorm."

"Strange?" Seokjin scoffs, "That's the understatement of the century, Hoseok."

"Okay, then would bizarre be a better adjective? Quirky? Odd? Peculiar?" Hoseok rolls his eyes, "I'm sorry I didn't consult my thesaurus before speaking this early in the morning.

A small cry sounds, "Stahp!" The little boy's high pitched voice rings throughout the room, "No fight. Bad hyungs."

"The baby is right. Fighting isn't going to help us figure this out right now." Taehyung pipes up from the side. He smiles at the infant, "I like him, he's so cute. We should keep him."

"We can't keep a baby, Taehyung!" Seokjin looks at the other man incredulously. "We need to find out who this baby belongs to and return him."

"Wait, how did a child even get inside our dorm?" Jungkook ponders aloud. He nervously glances back at the infant again which in turn causes the child to stick its tongue out at him in a playful yet mocking manner.  "The security at this complex is top notch."

Hoseok hums at this in agreement, "You're right about that. It was even difficult for me to get in when I dyed my hair back to black."

Seokjin chuckles under his breath at that. "Wonder how the front desk security will react when we all dye our hair in the coming months."

"Okay, not important right now." Yoongi sighs from his place on the couch. It's the first time Yoongi's spoken since the 'meeting' started; the child in his hand stops fidgeting and turns around, surprised by the sudden noise coming from the man. "What is important right now, is that there is a child in my lap right now and I have no idea what to do with it."

"Well, you're doing a good job of holding him hyung." Hoseok teases, causing Yoongi to shoot the other rapper a sharp glare.

Taehyung claps happily, "Yeah Yoongi-hyung, I think the kid likes you!"

The little boy decides to reaffirm Taehyung's words by burrowing his face into Yoongi's chest, his small chubby hands latching onto the man's neck. "Yoonie," the child's voice comes out soft and fond.

"Aww, would you look at that," Seokjin says, cooing at the display, "You have a fan, Yoonie. "

Yoongi looks down at the soft fluffy bundle of black curls resting against his chest. The child shyly peaks out at Yoongi, his little round eyes shining with curiority at the grown man's reaction to being cuddled. He sighs softly, a warm fondness spreading through his heart. Honestly, the moment he saw the little troublemaker in the kitchen in all his yogurt-covered-glory Yoongi felt a familiar warmth rise inside him. It's quite similar to the type of affection he has for the younger members in the group whenever they do something adorable, Yoongi is a weak man for cute things after all. His lip quirks up in a slight grin as he lightly taps the tip of the baby's nose. The infant blinks at the feeling then giggles, his eyes morphing into an eye smile that looks eerily familiar to him. He just knows he's seen this smile somewhere before.

"Hey, Taehyung!" The younger man lifts an eyebrow at Yoongi in response, "Look at this, doesn't the kid look familiar to you?" Yoongi turns the child's giggling body around to face the other. Another light tap is given to the child's nose to ensure he keeps laughing. (At least that's what Yoongi tells himself.)

Taehyung coos at the child and reaches his hands out, "You're just so cute now aren't you?"

The baby wriggles off of Yoongi's lap and totters off towards Taehyung's open arms. The man hums once the child is in his grasp, he notices the resemblance now that he has a closer look. "You know what Yoongi, you're right. He looks just like Jimin! Hey, 'Minnie look it's your twin!" Taehyung's eyebrow quirks up at the lack of immediate response - typically Jimin would have responded immediately to him.

Now that he thinks about it, Jimin had been oddly quiet throughout this entire ordeal, almost as if he wasn't there. It's quite odd, Jimin had an affinity for babies so Taehyung would've thought he'd jump at the chance to coddle the infant.

"Jimin?" the singer calls out again. The child in his arm chirps at Taehyung and wiggles around in his arms. Taehyung shushes the baby and turns to look around the room. Jimin is nowhere in sight. "Wait, where is Jimin?"

"I think he went out for a morning jog," Yoongi coughs out. "When I heard the baby messing around in the kitchen this morning I looked into his and Hoseok's room and his bed was empty."

Taehyung furrows his brows at this. That's odd. Jimin had stopped taking early morning jogs for some time now and hasn't made any remarks about wanting to take up the hobby again. "Are you sure? Jimin doesn't take jogs in the morning anymore, though."

A tiny hand suddenly flies in front of Taehyung's face, causing the man to sputter wildly. "Ahhh, stop that you cutie. We're trying to figure out where Jimin is, we'll find a way to get you back home in a second, okay?"

The baby whines and continues to flutter his hands in Taehyung's face.

Yoongi chuckles at the adorable display, this kid was just too cute for his own good. He shrugs at Taehyung's earlier question, "I mean, it was the only thing I could think of? I can't think of any other reason for him to be out this early on our day off." He shoots Jimin's roommate a questioning look, "Hoseok, did he say anything to you before he left this morning?"

"Not that I can remember?" The dancer scratches his chin. "I don't think Jimin's said anything about needing to go out today either."

"Jimin!"

Six pairs of eyes turn to the source of the jarring scream. The child's face is a bright red and his eyebrows are scrunched up in frustration. He jumps out of Taehyung's arms and cries out again, "Jimin!"

"Yes, Jimin? That's who we're talking about?" Taehyung hesitantly reaches out for the child again.

"No Tae Tae!" The child uses his own small, chubby hands to slap hard against his own chest. "Jimin!"

"It's weird how he know all our names don't you think?" Jungkook ponders aloud. "He knew who Yoongi was, and he just called you Taetae."

A loud gasp slips from Seokjin's lips at this. "Wait a second,"  he jumps up and points at the wrinkled baby blue shirt on the child's body, "Isn't that Jimin's night shirt?"

Namjoon tilts his head and walks to pick the little boy up in his arms. The shirt does look oddly familiar and it practically swallows the child's small frame whole. He peeks at the tag attached to the top, "I think it is Jimin's shirt, it's his side."

"Joonie-hyung!" The child screams and beats at Namjoon's chest sporadically, "Me Jimin! Me Jimin!"

Me Jimin , Yoongi thinks to himself, what the hell is that supposed to mean? Is this kid related to Jimin somehow? Yoongi write this thought off though, Jimin would never bring a guest over to the dorm, relative or not, without alerting the rest of the band.

Hoseok jumps up suddenly, his mouth dropped open, "Oh my God!" He runs over to where Namjoon currently is trying to soothe the crying child.

"What?" Namjoon shouts back. His eyes are blown wide as he watches Hoseok slowly walk closer to the child.

With tentative movements, Hoseok approaches the child and holds out a hand. "Jimin?"

The child's cries come to an abrupt halt. His teary eyes shine at the man and dart to his outstretched palm. He hiccups and reaches out his own hand, placing his tiny palm against Hoseok's large one.

"Hobi-hyung." The  name comes out so quietly it'd be hard to miss if one wasn't listening. However though, everyone in that room sure as hell was listening.

The situation at hand was to damn mind boggling for them to have their attention elsewhere. The baby's pouty lips open again as he brings his hand back to touch his own small chest again, "Me Jimin."

"Holy shit."

"Holy shit is right, Jin-hyung." Namjoon whispers. He peers down at the boy in his grasp, bewildered by the situation. This boy couldn't possibly be who he thinks it is… could it?

Taehyung now jumps up from his seat and comes closer to the child with speculative eyes, "That baby… he looks just like Jimin, has Jimin's clothes on, and Jimin seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth for some reason. Does this mean that-"

"Wait, wait, wait," Yoongi interrupts, "you can't possibly be alluding to the idea that this baby is Jimin, right? Am I the only one that's not jacked up on crazy juice this morning?" Even if Jimin wasn't actually out running this morning, there's no way that the infant in Namjoon's arms could be his beloved band member. Right?

" You might just be the only sane member of this group," Jungkook replies as he stands and comes toward the child―well Jimin― with a look of curiosity. "'Cause there's no other sound explanation I can think of for how the child got in here. Unless he's like some weird form of body snatcher, where he didn't snatch Jimin's body but instead took his place in life."

"Wouldn't be a body snatcher then, Jungkookie," Hoseok says. "He'd be a life snatcher if that were the case. That's just crazy talk though."

Yoongi scoffs, "And you all thinking this child is somehow Jimin isn't crazy talk, Hoseok?" The rapper's hands flail around hopelessly.

"Yoonie-hyung!" The baby's voice comes out small but stern. He wiggles his way out of Namjoon's grasp and totters his way over to where Yoongi stands. He kocks his hip out to the side and gives Yoongi what is probably the sassiest glare a human has ever recieved. "Me Jimin," he pats his chest twice for good measure, "You, Yoonie-hyung. Got it?"

Well damn, that sure is Jimin.

Yoongi takes in the child's face and can't deny the outstanding similarities between him and Jimin. He's seen the other's baby pictures quite a few times―for segments during variety shows and when he went back with Jimin to visit his family during the holidays―and the child is a dead ringer for baby Jimin, chubby cheeks and all. He finds himself leaning more and more toward the idea that maybe this child―for some unknown and unearthly reason―is in fact Jimin. "Well," he huffs and looks at little Jimin dejectedly, "if this is infact Jimin, what the hell are we supposed to do?"

A deep contemplative hum sounds from Namjoon, "Hmm, I'll have to do some research and see if anyone else has had a similar type of incident." He stares at Jimin's tiny body, sadly wondering how they are going explain to their manager that Jimin suddenly became a two year old. The leader decides for now it will be best they keep this situation between the seven of them. "Try not to let anyone find out about this for now."

"How exactly do you intend to find someone else with a similar experience as," Taehyung takes a long pause and gestures his hands towards baby Jimin's small form for emphasis, "this?"

"Where else, Taehyung, but the vast and infinite cyber library known as the Internet." Seokjin answers cooly. He walks over to where Namjoon is standing and places a supportive hand on his shoulder. "I'll help you out Joonie with the research. I also agree it's best we keep this between ourselves, we can only imagine what chaos would ensue if the public somehow found out about this."

"What are we supposed to do?" Jungkook asks. He points at Jimin, who currently is giggling while playing peekaboo with Taehyung. "Jimin-hyung, wait would I call him hyung now? Well nevermind, that's not important," he huffs out. "What is important is that this one right here," the (formerly) youngest member pokes baby Jimin's chubby cheek, "is a baby. What are we supposed to do with a baby?"

Yoongi peers down at little Jimin's smiling face. His chubby cheeks are dusted with a rosy tint, much like they usually are when Jimin is his normal age. The baby seems to sense that he has Yoongi's attention because he suddenly looks away from Jungkook and Taehyung. His little eyes peer up into Yoongi's, the small brown irises shining. "We take care of him I guess, not much different to what we usually do anyways right?" the man chuckles out, Jimin always did enjoy having the hyung's attention and care. Yoongi definitely loved giving it to him; it's not strange that he would feel the need to take care of Jimin in baby form too.

Hoseok abruptly thrusts his pointer finger into the air, "Alright guys! I have an idea." All eyes flash towards his direction, "I have a baby cousin that's around two years old, that's the age Jimin looks to be about right now, right?" Everyone nods. "Alright, well my cousin really likes to have tea parties whenever I go back home and visit. Why don't we have a tea party with Jiminnie for now!" Hoseok looks brightly toward the infant.

"No," Yoongi deadpans, "We are not having a tea party."

A whine comes from Taehyung, "Why not, hyung? It'd be really fun!"

Jungkook nods with a shrug. "It's not like there's anything else for us to do right now. I don't think Jimin is ready for a nap soon, so no way we're going back to sleep."

"I do not want to have a tea party on my day off."

"Yoonie-hyung? Jiminnie wants tea party."

Yoongi feels every ounce of refusal leave his body at the tiny sound of Jimin's voice. He just knows that if he were to look down right now, Jimin's signature puppy pout would be on his face. That look is hard for Yoongi to ignore when Jimin's his normal self as it is; Yoongi's certain that as a child it'd be twenty times more hard to deny pouty Jimin. He slowly looks down at the child in his arms.

Damnit.

Turns out Yoongi was wrong. It was not twenty times harder to deny a pouty baby Jimin than regular pouty Jimin. No, it’s actually way harder than that. A sharp pang of guilt floods his chest as Yoongi takes in the downcast jut of Jimin's tiny lower lip. With a sigh, Yoongi relents.

"I guess we're having a tea party then."

Cheers and a high pitched scream fill the room.

It looks like taking care of baby Jimin will be an… eventful affair.

Thirty minutes later, Hoseok, Jungkook, Taehyung and Yoongi crowd around the living room table with Jimin propped up on Yoongi's lap. Before heading into Namjoon's studio with the leader to do some research on adults magically turning into babies overnight, Seokjin prepared a pot of tea for the group's "tea party". The only thing about the set up that resembles a tea party, is the tea really. With such short notice the boys weren't able to make an extravagant party for baby Jimin. No feather boas or party hats in sight, stale oreos took the place of cake and pastries, and the only stuffed animals attending the party as guests are the assortment of Ryan plushies Hoseok was able to sneak from Namjoon's room.

Jimin doesn't seem to mind though, as he sits happily in Yoonie's lap. He currently watches intently as Taehyung pours hot tea in a small cup for him. "Would you like some sugar in your tea, Jiminnie?" Taehyung asks, his voice laced with its own sugary sweetness.

"Suga!" Jimin shouts, nodding his head. He turns around and places a small palm against Yoongi's cheek. "You Suga too, Yoonie!"

Yoongi removes Jimin's small hand from his face with a chuckle. "That is right Jiminnie, my other name is Suga." Yoongi absentmindedly wonders how much Jimin remembers in this form, he seems to know all of their names and who each member is. Heck, he even knows Yoongi's stage name it seems. However, all his mannerisms seem to be that of a two year old. His speech pattern resembles that of a regular baby; it's very static, choppy, and his sentences usually consist of only two to three words. His train of thought seems to wander off easily as well, Yoongi looks down as Jimin now takes an oreo apart and stares bewildered at the creamy white goodness inside. Does that mean he's just retaining his memories, but his mind is literally that of a child's?

Yoongi clears his throat, "Hey Jiminnie?"

"Huh?" Jimin's little head whips up, his small mouth now covered with white cream.

"Do you remember what we did yesterday?" If Jimin can remember that the group had a fanmeet yesterday, then it will confirm Yoongi's hypothesis.

"Uhhh," Jimin takes another lick at the chocolate cookie, smearing more cream across his upper lip. "We go to meet fan?"

"Yes, that's right Jiminnie!" Taehyung calls out. He holds out his hand for a high five, which Jimin happily indulges him in. "We had a fanmeet yesterday! Wasn't that fun?"

Jimin nods vigorously and hums. He passes his now creamless cookies to Jungkook, who takes the chocolate pieces with a shrug and stuffs them in his mouth. He speaks around the crumbs, "Why'd you ask him that Yoongi?"

"It answered something I was wondering about." He maneuvers a sip of his own tea around Jimin's actively moving body. "I think his adult memories are in tact, but his mind is that of a baby."

Hoseok hums and crosses his arms onto his knees, leaning his chin atop them as he watches Jimin try to lick the cream off his nose, "Hmm, that would make sense as to how he knows who we are." Hoseok waves a hand at the baby's face, "Jiminnie, who am I?"

Jimin giggles and points at Hoseok, "You're Hobi-hyung!" He thrusts his finger around the table, pointing at each member, "And that's TaeTae, Kookie, and Yoonie-hyung!"

"Good job, Minnie!" Hoseok commends. He reaches over and ruffles Jimin's black curls. It seems every aspect of Jimin's personality stuck with him in this form as well, seeing as he revels in Hoseok's praise. A smug smile graces itself across Jimin's tiny lips and he snuggles his head into Hoseok's palm.

"I think that deserves some more tea Jiminnie, don't you?"  Jungkook declares, he takes Jimin's small cup and fills it up. Jimin claps at this and hurriedly grabs it from Jungkook's hands, not letting the hot liquid cool off. Yoongi tries to grab the cup before Jimin can scold his tongue with the scorching drink. He is too late though, and Yoongi watches in fear as Jimin takes the cup to his lips and takes a generous slurp.

Oh, no.

Violent cries erupt from Jimin immediately, he spits out the tea all over the oreos on his plate. The cup holding the tea finds itself flying through the air and landing in Jungkook's lap. The brunette shouts loudly as the hot liquid seeps into his basketball shorts, scorching his crotch. "Fuck, Jimin!"

Hoseok smacks Jungkook on the back of his head, "No cursing in front of the baby!"

Jungkook shoots him a glare and grabs a napkin off the table. He pats the front of his shorts as he bitterly spits out, "Sorry, I meant to say fudge ."

Yoongi stands with the crying Jimin in his arms, and passes him off to Taehyung. "I'm gonna go get him some milk." Jimin's cries grow louder as Yoongi wanders off into the kitchen. Yoongi shakes his head, Why does he have such an attachment to me? He hurries to gather the milk from the fridge, and hustles back into the living room where Jimin is now hitting Jungkook's chest violently.

"Kookie mean! He hurt Jiminnie!"

"I didn't mean to Jimin, how many times do I have to explain that!"

"He's a baby Jungkook, I don't think he'll understand," Yoongi explains as he reenters the room, "Remember he's thinking like a child right now." The man sits back down and motions for Jimin to come back into his lap. "C'mere Jiminnie, look what I got you. Some milk, that'll make your mouth feel better won't it?"

Jimin hiccups and shivers before slowly waddling into Yoongi's arms. He lets out a quiet thank you before taking the cup with both hands and gulping the cool drink.

"I didn't know you were so good with babies, Yoongi-hyung,” Hoseok comments as he watches Yoongi pat Jimin's back comfortingly.

Yoongi pauses and takes in Hoseok's words. He didn't even know he was good with kids. Honestly, he hasn't had that much experience with kids before, he has some small cousins sure, but he's never really taken care of any of them. Perhaps, Yoongi's just has an affinity for taking care of the group's younger members. He enjoys doting on them normally, so he doesn't see why Jimin being a baby would change that. He just shrugs at Hoseok and continues rubbing soothing circles onto Jimin's back.

Just then, Namjoon and Seokjin enter into the living room. "Dear God, what did you all do to the child? We left you with him for only a few hours." Namjoon asks, peering around at the disheveled state of the living room.

"Ah nothing too bad, hyung, have faith in us!" Taehyung answers. He points at the now sated Jimin snuggled up against Yoongi, sipping on his glass of milk. "We have everything settled now. Jiminnie just drank some really hot tea accidentally."

"You gave him hot tea?" Seokjin asks bewildered, "I made the tea for you all. I thought you'd just give him milk or juice?"

"Well what's a tea party without actual tea drinking?" Hoseok scratches underneath his chin. "Besides I let my cousin drink it when we have them. Usually it's lukewarm though."

Seokjin sighs and plops down on the couch, "Well we need to be careful with Jimin now. He's delicate and under our care."

Jungkook grunts as he rubs his chest where Jimin's small fists hit him, "Yeah, delicate."

"Anyways," Yoongi calls out, "did you guys find any information?" They really needed to find out why Jimin was a baby soon, otherwise their careers would be in trouble.

"Not really," Namjoon sighs out defeatedly. "There was a strange blog I found talking about witchcraft and magic food but we need to look more into it tomorrow. For now, why don't we all eat dinner, I can order us something."

A chorus of different suggestions for what type of food they should order sound around the room. Eventually they all settle on Jimin's suggestion of jjajangmyeon. The group eats in the dining room, Jimin sitting a stack of books placed on his usual chair in a makeshift booster seat of sorts. Afterwards, everyone gets ready for bed. It was a long and eventful day afterall. Taehyung bathes Jimin, having had the most experience with the task—he had to help out numerous cousins with their small children back home. The group decides that tomorrow, they'll have to go shopping for baby clothes, considering they don't know how Jimin will be stuck in this form and his regular clothes (while adorable on him) are far too big.

After getting him dressed in a large white cotton t-shirt the boys attempt to put Jimin to sleep. He puts up a fuss though, and refuses to sleep in his own bed. Stating he's afraid of 'the monsters under his and Hoseok's beds'. Taehyung offers to let the child sleep with him in his room, however Jimin adamantly refuses. Crying out that he wants to sleep with 'Yoonie-hyung'. Yoongi relents and finds himself lying in bed, positioned on the side instead of his usual spot sprawled in the middle. He allows Jimin to cuddle up next to him, and wraps his body in a protective position around the child's small form. Jimin falls asleep first, his small chest rising and falling steadily and tiny snores slipping out his mouth as he drifts off into dreamland. Yoongi traces the small slope of Jimin's nose and eventually finds himself wandering off into his own deep sleep, Jimin's small body wrapped securely in his arms.

☆DAY 2☆

When Yoongi awakens the next morning, the first thing he sees is a bundle of dark fluffy curls.

A wet patch of drool has situated itself onto the cotton of Yoongi's shirt; a shudder rocks through his the man's body at the uncomfortable moist feeling. He shifts his head to the side and peers down at the culprit whose mouth is propped open in a tiny 'o' shape. It appears that while they were both asleep, Jimin somehow managed to crawl his way atop Yoongi's body and positioned his little self onto the elder's chest.

With a fond smile Yoongi watches intently as Jimin breathes, his back rising and falling with each inhale and exhale. The younger looks so peaceful right now, much more tranquil than he has recently. Like every idol in their industry of work, the members all get stressed out and run down during comeback season. However, Yoongi has noticed over the years just how much stress Jimin puts upon himself during these times. Constantly the younger man pushes himself to his limits, trying to show the best performance possible to their fans. When he doesn't meet his own personal expectations for himself, Jimin berates himself and only pushes his body and mind harder, sometime past their limits. So, it's comforting for Yoongi to see Jimin in such a relaxed state, refreshing even. He hasn't had the opportunity to reassure Jimin that he's been doing a good job recently like he usually tries to during comeback season. What with the group's ever-growing popularity, their schedules have been filled to brim. Yoongi barely has found the time to remind himself to sleep, much less remind Jimin

he's an amazing person. However, Yoongi knows his younger member well and realizes Jimin is just the kind of person who needs constant reassurance and praise. He makes a mental note to remember to tell the other just how amazing he's been recently. It will have to wait until after they've figured out how to return him back to his adult form though.

Faintly outside his closed bedroom door, Yoongi can hear the other members moving and talking as they get ready for the day. With a silent groan he looks over and sees that the clock on his bedside table reads 6:00 AM. Oh great, another early day.

A knock sounds on his door and a second later Seokjin peeks his head in. "Oh good, your up. Is, uh, the baby still asleep?"

Yoongi hums and gestures at Jimin sprawled across his chest. "Out like a light."

Seokjin nods and carefully make shis way towards the bed. He reaches down, scooping up Jimin's sleeping form in his arms. He whispers out, "I'll take him for now, go shower and get ready, we're having a meeting in fifteen minutes."

Yoongi lies in bed for a second after Seokjin leaves the room with baby Jimin fast asleep in his arms. The man's tired body begs for him to stay in the soft warm pile of sheets on his bed. For a second Yoongi almost listens to his fatigued muscles and drifts back to sleep. However, a loud shout that sounds a lot like Jungkook ring throughout the dormitory and effectively takes away in any possibility of Yoongi going back to sleep.

"What is that smell? It smells like shit in here."

The muffled sound of a smack drifts through the walls. Hoseok's voice deadpans back, "That's ‘cause it is. Jimin's a baby, he pooped his pants."

Yoongi sniffs the air around him at this. Oh dear god. It seems that the stench of Jimin's... bathroom trip ...remain in the air of Yoongi's room. Hurriedly, Yoongi sits up and checks to see if any bodily fluids besides drool landed on his shirt. Thankfully, the only wet spot he sees is from the saliva. He shucks the soiled shirt off (the second of his shirt's Jimin has managed to dirty while in baby form) and heads toward the bathroom.

We have quite the day ahead of us.

Once Yoongi has bathed himself and gotten dressed, he makes his way to the living room where the rest of the members have already gathered. A now clean and changed Jimin dressed in one of his smallest old t-shirts (which manages to still swaddle his tiny body) spots Yoongi first.

"Yoonie here!" His hands clap happily, the little boy obviously excited by the elder's entrance.

"Yes, Jiminnie. Good job." Seokjin coos out, "Yoongi is here so we can start the meeting, now."

Yoongi takes a spot on the couch next to Hoseok and looks towards the eldest. "So what are we doing today? Don't we have a schedule in," he peers at his watch, "an hour and a half?"

"Yes we do," Seokjin answers. "We have the shoot for our individual photos for the fan club goods today. However, Jimin can't quite take his pictures like this." He pats the baby on his little bottom, causing a tiny yelp and a stream of giggles to follow.

"Exactly, which is why I already called Seijin-hyung and told him Jimin and Yoongi came down with some kind of sickness." Namjoon explains.

"Wait why me-"

"What no fair, why does Yoongi-hyung get to-"

Namjoon raises his hand, silencing the expected protests. "For some reason, we all can see that Jimin seems quite attached to Yoongi while he's like this. Am I wrong?"

Jimin smiles at Namjoon's words and yells out a joyous "Yoonie-hyung!" before tottering over to said man.

Well no one can deny that.

Yoongi sighs as he opens his arms for Jimin to walk into. "I mean I get it, the little fellow likes me. I don't really know if I'm the most qualified to take care of a child though." If any of them should stay and care for Jimin, Yoongi would've thought Hoseok or Taehyung to be the best candidate considering their experience with children.

"Hmm, you have a point there Yoongi-hyung." Hoseok says scratching his chin. "It would seem pretty suspicious if I were to stay and help as well."

Namjoon nods, "Right, and we don't really need to be raising suspicions now." He looks towards Yoongi, "I think it's best if we just try to keep baby Jimin happy, and keeping him with you seems to be the best way to do that, hyung."

Taehyung pipes up from the side, "Besides, hyung. Jimin's been pretty well behaved so far. I don't think you'll have issues. Plus, you have the Internet for help if you're not sure what to do!"

That is true, Yoongi can always look up tips on taking care of babies if he needs to. Plus they have each other's cell numbers on speed dial. He's sure the other members would find a way to rush home if an emergency happened.

"Wait but we don't have any baby stuff here for Jimin-hyung," Jungkook points out. "I feel like he should at least have diapers or baby clothes. We don't want another incident like this morning."

"Yoongi can just go shopping with him then. It'd be best to get a few different outfits and toys, since we don't know how long he'll be like this." Seokjin reaches into his pocket and pulls out a sleek black credit card. He hands it over to Yoongi. "Use this, Yoongi. I don't mind, the money is for emergencies and I think this classifies as an emergency."

Yoongi shakes his head, "What no, hyung. I can't do that. Plus how am I supposed to go out with a baby without raising any eyebrows?"

"Wear a disguise, hyung! I mean the security around the building is pretty secure, and I feel like if you leave after we've left no one would suspect for you to be out by yourself," Hoseok argues.

Seokjin hums at this and shoves the card back at Yoongi, "He's right. Today's schedule is secret anyway. None but the company knows what we're doing. I feel like if you keep a cap and glasses on you should be fine. Also just use the card, I'm telling you to do it as your hyung." He levels his stare at Yoongi, not offering the chance for more protests.

Yoongi relents and accepts the card. "Alright, I guess I'll just chill here with Jimin for a while after you all leave."

"Good," Namjoon grunts out. He stands and motions for the others to do the same. "Alright, we'll get going now. Hyung, while you're here today could you keep on the lookout for any clues that could explain how this happened to Jimin? I stayed up late researching and haven't figured anything out really."

Yoongi nods, scoops Jimin up into his arms and stands. "Sure, Namjoon. I'll let you know if I see anything. I can check in his room too."

With that, the five members leaving file out the house. Each say goodbye to Jimin in their own endearing form of salutation. Hoseok bumps fist with the small boy, Taehyung grabs the infant into a tight bear hug, and Jungkook ruffles the baby's curls. Seokjin checks to make sure Yoongi has his card before offering little Jimin a high five. Namjoon wishes Yoongi luck before pinching both of Jimin's cheeks. With a click the front door closes behind them, leaving Yoongi alone with Jimin.

"Looks like it's just you and me today Jiminnie."

Yoongi waits around thirty minutes after the rest of the members left before declaring it time to gear up and take baby Jimin shopping. Yoongi dresses Jimin first to the best of his abilities, having to use an absurd amount of safety pins in order to configure one of adult jimin's shirts into a onesie for his much smaller child form. He doesn't have any shoes the right size for Jimin's feet, so he settles for having to carry the child and mentally making a note to buy baby shoes before anything else.

At this moment, a tiny fart slips out of the baby causeing a fit of tiny giggles. Yoongi blanches and pats the child's bottom to see if any… substance escaped him. Thankfully, Jimin is dry.

Nevermind, diapers first. Then shoes.

The man dons a baseball cap and black face mask, to lessen the chances of getting recognized, before exiting the dorm. Without any other means of transportation—there's no way for him to use a company vehicle without garnering attention—he's forced to find a taxi to take him and Jimin downtown. The driver inside fortunately doesn't recognize Yoongi, the only odd look he gives the idol is at the peculiar state of dress of the poor child accompanying him.

The first stop on the agenda for today is the closest convenience store Yoongi spots. He dashes out of the cab with Jimin in his arm, not without paying the cabbie first and thanking him. Inside the store Yoongi runs towards the personal care section and starts scanning the shelves for diapers. "Hmm, okay Jiminnie. Time to get you some diapers."

"Yoonie! There!"

Yoongi follows the direction that Jimin's finger. Jimin managed to spot the display of diapers with his little eagle eyes. "Good job, Jiminnie." The two share a nod and a quick high five before Yoongi grabs a 20-pack of nappies and baby wipes. He pays for them at the counter and takes Jimin to the restroom to change him.

Task one, done. Time for baby shoes.

Another taxi cab is flagged down and the two are off to their next destination of today's shopping journey. A place Yoongi didn't think he'd have to step foot in for a long time: a child's department store.

The smell of artificial strawberries and mint assaults Yoongi's nostrils the minute they step into the gigantic store. Bright pastel colored walls and employees with plastered grins greet the two from every direction. The unnerving feeling of being out of place settles over Yoongi. Jimin doesn't seemed phased one bit, though. In fact he happily waves at every human and gigantic stuffed animal in sight.

"Look Yoonie-hyung! El'pant!"

Yoongi scrunches his eyebrows at the gibberish Jimin said. "What Jiminnie?"

The child struggles and attempts to wiggle his way out of Yoongi's arms to no avail. There is no way in hell Yoongi is letting Jimin run around on this floor without shoes on. The child settles for grunting and hitting Yoongi's shoulder in frustration. "El'pant! Jiminnie like El'pant!" He points toward a display that has a gigantic elephant statue next to it and that's when it clicks in Yoongi's brain.

Oh, elephant.

" You like the elephant Jiminnie?" The child nods rapidly and squirms around more. Yoongi shushes him, "Alright, alright do you want to go see it then? Do you want hyung to take your picture with it?" Heck, why not humor him.

Jimin's scream of joy practically blows Yoongi's eardrum out, but the elder doesn't mind one bit. Not when the child's bright smile warms his heart so dearly. He takes Jimin toward the elephant statue and helps the child pet the animal. Jimin yelps and attempts to wrap his short arms around the creature's neck, settling for the end of his trunk when the task is proven too difficult. Yoongi coos and reaches for his phone in his pocket. He snaps a few candids of the happy baby with his elephant friend before Jimin notices.

"Hyung, you picture too!"

"You want a picture of me and the elephant?" Yoongi inquires, tilting his head to the side. Jimin mimics the movement before shaking his head rapidly.

"No," he touches Yoongi's cheek. "You, hyung." He then touches the elephant's fuzzy trunk. "El'pant." Finally Jimin points at his own chest. "Jiminnie in picture."

"Alright then, if that's what you want Jiminnie." He maneuvers Jimin onto his other hip and positions the camera in front of all three of their faces: 'hyung, el'pant, and Jiminnie'. The shutter blasts rapidly, Yoongi taking a burst of photos. He will definitely save this precious memory for a long time to come.

After Yoongi takes enough photos to satisfy Jimin, he quickly sends a few of the pictures containing only Jimin and his new friend to the band's group chat.

He pockets the phone and tanders over to a rack displaying different pairs of children's shoes. "Alright Jiminnie, pick a pair and let's try them on you."

Jimin's eyes scan over the display, analyzing each pair. His eyes widen though when they spot a pair of black and white Puma sneakers. He points at the pair and says, "Those. Minnie wants those."

Good job, promoting our sponsors even when you are a baby. Yoongi scoffs and picks up the pair. He sits Jimin down on a little bench and holds up his foot to one of the shoes. The shoe seems a little too big for the baby's foot, so Yoongi picks up a smaller pair off the rack. He squeezes Jimin's little foot into the sneaker. "There, look Jiminnie! A perfect fit."

He places the other shoe onto Jimin and stands the child up. Yoongi gets a good chuckle from watching Jimin totter around on his little feet testing out the shoes. Just then his phone buzzes; the other members finally saw the pictures of little Jimin and his elephant friend.

Seokjin and the Six Babies

Kim Seokjin: how cute>.< you can't deny that's jimin's smile tbh

Kim Namjoon: cute. everything going well so far??

Kim Taehyung: OMG THE ELEPHANT IS SO CUTE :'))))

Jung Hoseok: I WANT AN ELEPHANT LIKE THAT IN OUR ROOM NOW

Jeon Jungkook: Cute.

Yoongi quickly types back a response to Namjoon stating 'that everything is going fine so far,' before he pockets the device and returns his attention back to Jimin who has picked up another pair of sneakers. He pouts at Yoongi and holds the pair up towards the elder man.

Yoongi relents and takes the shoes. He checks to see if the shoes were in the right size (they weren't), "Alright one more pair, that's it for now Jimin." He scoops Jimin up in his arms and goes to find some clothes for the baby. "Let's get you clothes and then head home, I think it's time for a snack and nap, hmm?" Jimin nods and cuddles into Yoongi's shoulder, content with his new purchases (well, technically, Seokjin's purchases).

By the time they exit the department store, little Jimin is donning a completely new getup. His bouncing feet are covered by the tiny puma shoes, he's wearing a white cotton tee decorated with baby blue and teal elephants (apparently baby Jimin has an affinity for the animal) and matching denim overall shorts cover his bottom half. The light airy outfit is adorable on the little one and provides him comfort in the hot summer heat beating down outside. The two exit the store with bright smiles on their faces, hand in hand. Jimin seems quite content with his new outfit and all the other various garments inside the numerous baby blue bags Yoongi grasps in his free hand. Yoongi and Jimin take a pit stop at a McDonald's for lunch, where Jimin has a hayday with nuggets and the indoor playground. After their tummies are full of processed fries and vanilla ice cream, Yoongi hails a taxi cab to take them back to the dormitory.

Thankfully their dorm has cable, so Yoongi is able to find a suitable children's program for Jimin to watch while the elder puts away his new wardrobe. Despite Jimin technically still retaining all his adult memories, it feels wrong to Yoongi for him to put on a more mature program for the younger while he's in baby form. Jimin seems to be content with the setup, happily singing along with Pororo and Krong while sipping at his leftover vanilla milkshake.

Not long after Yoongi has all of Jimin's new clothes and toys put away, the child starts to nod off. Yoongi chuckles as he watches the boy startles awake every few seconds when he notices his eyelids start to droop. After the fifth time Jimin almost drops his milkshake, Yoongi decides it's time to put the other to bed. "Alright Jiminnie, I think it's time for a nap."

"No! Yoonie-hyung, I not tired." Jimin argues, a little pout forming on his lips.

"Oh, really?" Yoongi crosses his arms at his chest and cocks an eyebrow at the other. "You're not tired?"

"Yes! Jiminnie not tired!" Jimin huffs out, a tiny yawn following immediately after.

"Hmm, if that's so then I guess you'll get tired when all the others come home then, right? Since you won't nap now, you'll go to sleep when they get here instead."

Jimin tilts his head at this, weighing the amount of truth behind Yoongi's words; his tiny frame almost tips over at the sudden shift of weight, much to Yoongi's amusement. The little boy seems to come to the conclusion that Yoongi might just be on to something, "Nap now, play with hyungs and Kookie later?"

"Yes Jiminnie. Nap now, play later." Yoongi trots over to where Jimin sits in front of the television. He takes the now almost empty milkshake cup from the other's chubby hands and sits it on the coffee table. Jimin immediately reaches his hands up when Yoongi comes back to him, ready to be picked up. He cuddles into Yoongi's chest as the elder walks him down the hall to his bedroom. "Jiminnie I'm going to let you nap in your own room like a big boy okay? Hyung has some stuff he needs to work on."

Jimin, now basically asleep, nods softly. A tiny grunt and whine are the only fuss Yoongi gets out of him when he lays him on the bed. This is easily quieted down with a shush from Yoongi and an elephant plushie. Yoongi stops and stares at Jimin's peaceful form once he gets him settled in. Just like the previous night, the elder finds himself comforted by how content and serene Jimin looks in his sleep. He tucks the blankets around the little boy tighter before going to exit the room.

Something catches Yoongi's eyes though, right as he turns away from the bed. There on Jimin's bedside table lies an open black box. The lid lid sits beside it, with a purple velvet ribbon tossed to the side. Curiosity piqued, Yoongi moves to pick up the box finding it empty except for a folded note. Now why would Jimin have an empty box? It seems familiar, for some reason. He examines the object, trying to place where he'd seen it before. He removes the note inside and sets it on the table for later reading. Yoongi brings the box towards his nose and gives it a sniff, the inside smelling sweet and sugary.

Ah that's right! He remembers the mochi Jimin had received as a gift at the fansign. Quite a fitting present, really, for the chubby cheeked individual. Yoongi chuckles as he sets the box down and picks up the note. The boy's usually share their fan letters, the contents inside are touching and uplifting for every member. It reminds them that their music has touched others and that they aren't just creating things without meaning behind them. A smile sits on Yoongi's face as he quickly glances over the letter, noting the elegance of the fan's swirling script.

The grin slowly slips from his face though as he reads further down the page. This isn't any normal letter, it seems the fan had written Jimin some sort of poem. The last three lines carry a certain weight to them, and an eerie feeling settles into Yoongi's stomach as he reads them.

'And all you need is to make a wish with all your might. While you eat this mochi, put your worries away. Your happiness will come and last for three days.'

Yoongi sets the note down and scratches his head. A wish? Three days? Why does this sound like some sort of spell? Perhaps he'd been watching to many fantasy movies lately, but Yoongi can't help the odd suspicion he has towards the letter. Not able to shake the feeling, Yoongi decides to take a snapshot of the note and send it to the other members. Perhaps they could settle his worries, or at least offer some sort of theory.

Min Yoongi: [Attachment]

Min Yoongi: Doesn't this note sound off? I found it in Jimin's room, it came with a fan gift.

He pockets the device and turns to check on Jimin's sleeping form once more before exiting the room. The mysterious note and box leave the room with him in case any other the others request more pictures of them. Yoongi wanders down the hall towards his room, getting ready to settle in at his tiny makeshift studio he has there. He might as well be productive while little Jimin naps. Just as the rapper finds himself settled into his chair, his phone buzzes in his pocket.

Seokjin and the Six Babies

Kim Namjoon: yeah that does sound a little weird. what was the gift?

Yoongi hums, content that he seems to not be the only one a little perturbed by the note's contents. He responds to Namjoon, stating it came in the box containing Jimin's mochi from the other night. Namjoon's response is immediate.

Seokjin and the Six Babies

Kim Namjoon: the night before the baby incident right? hmmm seems suspicious

Kim Namjoon: is their a name or anything on the box?

Upon another examination of the box, Yoongi finds a small golden sticker placed on the bottom of the gift box. It decorative font it reads, ' Ami's Mystical Magical Kitchen'. He captures a picture of the sticker with his phone and sends it to Namjoon.

Min Yoongi: [Attachment]

Min Yoongi: There was this.

After a few seconds with no response from their leader, Yoongi places the phone on his table and sets to work. He puts his headphones on and opens up an audio file on his computer. He doesn't get very far with his work on the track though. His phone lights up with a new message notification a few minutes later.

Seokjin and the Six Babies

Kim Namjoon: HOLY SHIT HYUNG

Kim Namjoon: I searched the name on the sticker, you'll never believe what I found

Kim Namjoon: [link]

The link takes Yoongi to a blog entitled ' Your Pathway to Modern Witchery and Magic'. The site appears to be dedicated to witchcraft and the practice of practical magic. Yoongi rolls his eyes at this, what the fuck is this, Namjoon. He's never been an overly superstitious person, so things of the supernatural nature like this seem far fetched and ridiculous to Yoongi. He continues to scroll down the page, figuring Namjoon had to have sent it to him for some reason.

The page Yoongi's on seems to be a compilation of reviews for a restaurant, the one named on the sticker of Jimin's box. Yoongi reads numerous reviews for Ami's Mystical Magical Kitchen, some raving about 'the effectiveness of Ami's spells' and others giving testimonies 'for the reliability of the baker's magic'. From what he can gather on the page, this Ami seems to be a magical baker known for her mystical treats. Does this mean the mochi she gave Jimin was magical? With all the new information floating through his head, Yoongi messages Namjoon back.

Seokjin and the Six Babies

Min Yoongi: Does this mean....that this witch, who is a fan of ours, turned Jimin into a baby... with magical mochi?

Kim Namjoon: Seems like it, hyung. And from the note, the effects of the spell will last for three days. We're heading home now, we can have another meeting.

Well I'll be damned. Yoongi can't help but think this entire ordeal seems ridiculously far fetched. This is the stuff you read about in fantasy stories. It makes sense though, in a crazy contrived way. The information from the website and the note match up with the events of Jimin turning into a baby. With his brain overloaded with information and conspiracy theories regarding their magical fan who gifted Jimin the mochi, Yoongi decides he's not getting any work done on this track. He shuts down his computer and heads to the living room where he waits for the rest of the members to arrive.

Jimin wakes up from his nap right when everyone returns back to the dorm. Bleary-eyed and groggy, the baby stumbles down the hall into the living room. He waddles over to Yoongi on the couch, where the elder scoops him up into his lap. The others file in and sit around them.

"So," Namjoon starts off, "we know what turned Jimin into a baby."

"We all do Namjoon, you and Yoongi discussed it in our group chat," Seokjin retorts while rolling his eyes.

Namjoon sighs and rubs his temples. "Not everyone reads the group chat consistently, hyung."

All eyes, even baby Jimin's turn towards the youngest member of their group.

"What?" Jungkook grumbles out. He picks an imaginary loose thread off the bottom of his shirt. "I can't help that you guys aren't interesting."

"Aren't interesting?" Hoseok shouts, "What do you mean not interesting? I'm the most interesting person I know!"

"Now is not the time for banter everyone," Yoongi huffs out. He points at Jimin babbling away on his lap, "We have an important matter to discuss."

"Not much to discuss, hyung," Taehyung says as he scoots over towards Jimin. He pokes the little one's chubby cheek. "A witch turned Jimin into a baby with magic mochi. He'll be a baby for one more day. That's pretty much it. Can we eat dinner now?"

"Taehyung, of course there's more to discuss," Yoongi replies, "Jimin's going to be like this for another day. What are we going to do? Plus, I bought way too much stuff for him today considering we didn't know how long he'd be a baby at the time."

"Well I'll just tell Seijin-hyung Jimin's still sick tomorrow." Namjoon answers, "We only have to go to the company building tomorrow to work on choreography for the new album tomorrow anyways, so maybe we can bring Jimin with us there tomorrow. Say he's one of our cousins or something? Heck, maybe it’ll help too, if he can remember the moves after he becomes an adult again? He’ll be right on track with everyone else."

"Ooh Jiminnie can be my cousin!" Taehyung offers excitedly. "How does that sound Jiminnie? Being TaeTae's cousin?" Jimin chirps happily in response and jumps off of Yoongi's lap, flying into Taehyung's arms.

"Well, that's settled then." Seokjin stands and claps his hands. "I agree with Taehyung, I'm hungry myself. There's leftovers in the kitchen I can heat up for everyone. Sound okay?"

Nods and hums come from everyone in the circle. Each member files out of the living, either following Jin into the kitchen or heading towards their own rooms to wait until dinner is ready. All except for Yoongi, though. He stays seated on the couch, dumbfounded and a little jarred by the manner in which the members just accepted everything regarding the baby situation. He couldn't possibly be the only one a little bothered that baby Jimin would be leaving so soon, could he?

It's not that Yoongi doesn't want regular adult Jimin back. No, of course he does. He loves regular adult Jimin, just like all the other members do. He's an essential member of their team and their lives wouldn't be the same without him. However, Yoongi can't help but secretly wish Jimin could stay in his baby form for just a little while longer. The past two days, while stressful and extremely eventful, have been fun and refreshing for Yoongi. He's been so used to seeing Jimin stressed out and worried lately, that it was nice to be able to take care of the younger man and see him be carefree (even if he was a baby while doing it). Yoongi cannot help but worry that once Jimin has returned to his normal adult self, the younger will just go back to stressing and won't let his hyung care for him.

These thoughts stay inside Yoongi's head, his mind wrestling with them all the way through dinner and even when he lays down to sleep that night. Jimin wanted to sleep in his own bed again 'like a big boy' (Yoongi slightly regrets his previous choice of words) so Yoongi lays in bed alone with his thoughts.

Tomorrow will be the last day with Jimin as a baby. While it might seem wrong for him to, Yoongi can't help but have the desire for his own magical mochi he could use to wish for baby Jimin to stay with the group just a bit longer.

☆DAY 3☆

Yoongi doesn't really know how Namjoon was able to convince their manager that baby Jimin was Taehyung's cousin, but somehow their leader used his quick wits and impeccable speaking skills in order to get Jimin allowed into the company building with them. He can't really imagine how enjoyable being at an entertainment company's executive building would be for a child, especially one like Jimin considering there were no elephants or stuffed animals in the near vicinity.

However, Jimin proves to be true to his dancer nature, even as a baby. He's managed to keep himself entertained by watching the other six members sweat their asses off trying to learn Sung Deuk-hyung's choreography. Heck, Yoongi even swears he sees the infants hand movements mimic a part of their new single's point choreography. The child also spends the rest of his time making faces and blowing spit bubbles at the dance studio mirrors whenever the team takes a break from dancing.

Needless to say, the morning and well on into the late afternoon of Jimin's last day as a baby is spent quite uneventfully. Yoongi still can't quite shake the sad and somber feeling that settled into the back of his mind last night after realizing his time with little Jimin was running out. He doesn't even really know exactly when taking care of the baby became such an important fixture in his life (technically the only reasonable timespan for this to have happened was within the last two days, but now is not the time for technicalities). All Yoongi knows is that while he's excited to have Jimin back in his normal form—he really misses having a conversation with the other that consisted of more than a few words and incoherent babbles plus, well one can only take changing so many diapers—he also wishes there was a way for him to care for adult Jimin and take away his worries like he can when the other's a child.

Speak of the adult-turned-into-a-baby, Yoongi's pulled away from his current inner thoughts when Jimin totters over on his little legs to where Yoongi rests against the cold mirrored wall. He offers a sweaty out of breath Yoongi a bottle of water. "Drink Yoonie,  don't get sick like Jiminnie is."

Yoongi can't help but laugh at the other's serious tone. He accepts the bottle and takes a sip. "What do you mean Jiminnie's sick? He's right in front of me," he tells the baby after swallowing, poking his pudgy tummy for emphasis.

"Joonie-hyung said Jiminnie sick?" Jimin cocks his head to the side, eyebrows scrunching up in confusion.

The elder sits the water bottle off to to the side and scoops up Jimin into his arms. "No, no, no. Joonie was just playing pretend you see. Jiminnie feels fine right now, right?"

"Yep."

"Then see, you're not sick! You're fine," Yoongi cradles the child into a hug, giving gentle pats to his back. "Just fine."

Jimin looks up and Yoongi receives one of the brightest smiles, all of Jimin's tiny pearly whites shining (the elder can't help but notice it is quite unnerving Jimin retained all of his teeth in this form, it's not everyday you see a two year old with all thirty-two adult teeth). He boops Yoongi on the nose, shouts an 'okay Yoonie-hyung!' before running off to go play tag with Taehyung and Jungkook.

Yoongi watches the three partake in their childish game, glee and mischief written all over their faces. He can't help but realize how familiar the scene feels. Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook always find the time to play around and let off steam. Sitting here, watching Jimin try to use Taehyung's body as a human shield really isn't all that different from an average day for Yoongi. What he's doing now basically is what Jimin would be doing as an adult.

Well, what he'd be doing as an adult when he's not constantly being eaten up by stress. This carefree air Jimin has around him right now, is something Yoongi misses seeing around the adult Jimin. Ever since their group's fame and success had skyrocketed them out of obscurity Jimin has added more and more pressure on himself. They all do, don't get Yoongi wrong, constant criticism and the need to improve kind of comes as a given for idols. However, Yoongi notices just how often Jimin lets it eat away at him. Yoongi wishes he could take away some of that stress from Jimin, and let him continue to run around carefree like he is right now.

Shaking his head with a sigh, Yoongi stands up and claps his hands. Namjoon comes back into the room at this and signals that they'll run through the choreography one more time as a group, then head home. Jimin settles down against the glass mirror now and shoots the others a thumbs up as they settle into their starting positions. Before the loud bass of the speakers blasts out, a little tiny shout could be heard: "Fighting!"

Having decided to have dinner delivered to the company building for convenience sake, it's quite late in the evening when the group finally arrives back at the dorm. Upon a very insistent Jimin's request the entire group decides to camp out in the living room and have a 'movie night' in their pajamas. Even though they all have a schedule to attend to the next morning, all six men agree and give in to Jimin's whines. After all it is Jimin's last night with them as a baby and it's pretty much practically impossible to say no to his little puppy pout.

So that is why Yoongi finds himself laying down on a makeshift palette of assorted blankets and pillows, with a pair of matching striped pajamas, squished in between Hoseok and Jimin's bodies. Some animated movie plays on the television capturing the entirety of Jimin's (and, well, every other member's) attention. Yoongi doesn't find himself interested in the singing gazelle currently on the screen, choosing to watch the little movements of Jimin's face as he reacts to the film. His chubby cheeks bulge up each time a bubbling laugh leaves his mouth, his round eyes sparkle with glee, and his eyebrows jump with excitement all throughout the film. At one particularly heart wrenching scene, Jimin's low lip trembles as he burrows further into Yoongi's side. With a fond smile and a shush of his lips, Yoongi comforts him. The elder wishes he could always protect Jimin from his fears and demons this way, physically and metaphorically.

Before the first film even draws to a close, the boys all look to see Jimin passed out. His elephant plushie clutched in one arm, the other gripping the sleeve of Yoongi's nightshirt. Carefully Yoongi removes Jimin's grip off the cloth and stands. He reaches down and scoops the child up into his arms. "I really do commend our improv mattress making skills, but I think I should lay him down on a bed," Yoongi whispers out. "Don't want to hear the groans and whine of twenty-two year old claiming his back is messed up in the morning."

Yoongi can hear the distinct pitter-patter of feet walking on the hardwood flooring behind him. As he reaches the doorway to Jimin and Hoseok's room, he turns around to find Namjoon's somber face greeting him.

The two share eye contact, the leader's eyes inquiring information to a question Yoongi does not know. His gaze darts down to the sleeping form of Jimin snuggled into the crook of his neck. He sighs as he feels a small puddle of drool beginning to collect there. Namjoon breaks the silence first, "What's wrong, hyung?"

"Nothing." Yoongi states flatly. He knows it's best to not deny that there's something wrong, since that's exactly what someone with a problem they don't want to face would say (there's obviously a problem bothering him, and maybe he actually wants to face it).

"You know that I know something's up," Namjoon tells Yoongi. "Hyung we've lived together too long for me to not know you've been acting off all day."

"We have lived together a long time, Namjoon. All of us, really." He lightly lifts Jimin's small body for emphasis. "We can tell when something's wrong with each other, can't we?"

Namjoon eyes the bundle of limbs in Yoongi's grasps, "This is about Jimin. I know it is. What about him? You won't have to take care of him anymore, Yoongi. He should be an adult again in the morning."

Yoongi's jaw locks. "Yeah, I won't have to take care of him. That's what's bothering me Joon. It's eating away at me." A soft somber sigh escapes past his thin lips. "I kinda want to take care of him, Joon. He's been stressing too much recently. It's nice that he doesn't stress in this form."

"This isn't really about him being a baby or adult though."

"No, I guess not. I just want to be able to care for him, let him know he can lean on his hyung. It's just easier to do that when he's a baby, Joon. You know how hard Jimin can be on himself, and in turn how hardheaded that can make him."

"Look, Yoongi-hyung," Namjoon lays a hand on Yoongi's shoulder, "I want that too. I want that for all of us and our members. We can work on it together alright. Just realize that if Jimin doesn't want to be cared for, you can't force that. We all deal with stress differently."

Yoongi leans his head back on the doorframe and exhales. The small pricks of tears he can feel start to leave his eyes make him unreasonably angry. He realizes that this isn't about him not wanting Jimin to not be a baby anymore. No, this is about how he still wants to baby Jimin as an adult. Care for him, and let him know he's there for him. That they're all there for him.

With a sigh he pushes off the wall and nods at Namjoon before heading into the room. He one-handedly unmakes the bed and lies Jimin's sleeping form on it. After tucking in the blankets around him he scoots himself onto the tiny bed. Yoongi doesn't know how long he lays there, silently wishing he could take all of Jimin's worries away and just baby him. Eventually though, the thoughts fade away and the darkness of sleep take their place.

*POST-MOCHI*

An unfamiliar weight bearing down atop his torso is the first thing that greets Jimin when he awakens the next morning. Oh great, what the hell? He groggily looks down and sees the very messy and disheveled mop of ink black hair settled on his solar plexus. That looks awfully a lot like Yoongi-hyung's hai-

All his memories flood in at that moment, all the neurons and chemicals working overtime in his tired (and still half asleep) brain in order to make the connection. Yes, that is Yoongi-hyung laying on his chest. Yoongi-hyung did, in fact, fall asleep in his bed last night. And no, this was not the first time this week this happened, Yoongi let him sleep in his bed the first night he was a baby.

I was a baby? Oh yeah, I was a baby!

Just as Yoongi had suspected, Jimin did in fact retain all his memories from before the incident and even during the incident. It all feels a bit like watching a something through a pair of binoculars (he can see it, but he's not really there ), he remembers all the events of the past few days: the lame excuse for a tea party, the shopping trip, his new best friend the 'el'pant'. However, it was almost as if Jimin's subconscious was performing all of the actions he did as a baby. Not like the adult Jimin consciously was running around calling his hyung 'Yoonie', oh dear god I'm never gonna live that down.

With a bit of a struggle, Jimin is able to push Yoongi's lanky body off his chest and into an awkward crouched position on his bed. Jimin sits up now unrestricted and stares down at the man, letting all his fresh memories circulate fully in his mind. He remembers feeling happy all throughout the past few days, remembers feeling safe, warm, and loved. All of his members were part of the reason for these positive memories, however Jimin remembers Yoongi playing a real big part in the majority of them.

Jimin fondly reminisces in how tranquil and calm his life was during his stint as a two year old. Not having to deal with the worries or stress of his job and the pressures of society was refreshing and rejuvenating. Yes it was nice for him to be the center of attention for once, like he originally wished. However, he realized just how much more important the release of stress was for him.

Yoongi grumbles beside him and starts to sit up. Jimin's mind skips ahead in his recollection of the past few days and settles on a groggy memory from last night.

"I kinda want to take care of him, Joon. He's been stressing too much recently. It's nice that he doesn't stress in this form."

Right, Yoongi had said he wished he could take care of Jimin more often.

With a soft look Jimin looks down at Yoongi's slowly opening eyes. His eyelashes flutter, and the elder's voice comes out croaky once he spots Jimin. "Jimin?"

"Yes, hyung. It's me. In all my twenty-two year old glory." Jimin laughs and boops the tip of Yoongi's nose. "Thank you for taking care of me the last few days." This only receives a look of confusion and astonishment from the elder. "Yes, I remember everything. Everything Yoonie-hyung.”

Yoongi's cheeks color quickly at this. Jimin's giggles rise and he throws his arms around Yoongi's neck. Yoongi, though surprised, reciprocates the soft hug. "Hyung, can I tell you something?"

"Yes, Jimin?"

"I wouldn't mind you, uh, taking care of me every now and then as an adult. You know like, remember to ground me?"

Yoongi pulls back and lifts an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Yes, I mean not like change my clothes for me. But you know, like talk to me and hug a bit." Jimin fiddles his thumbs. "I feel at ease with you hyung. I hope you wouldn't mind."

"No, of course not Jiminnie. I love taking care of all of our members. I might not show it in traditional ways always, but know I do. We're a family after all." He ruffles Jimin's curly head. "And if you need a hug or cuddle every now and then that can be arranged."

The two embrace again, the touch filled with care and affection flowing both ways.

Suddenly though, Jimin remembers something else.

"Wait, hyung?"

"Hmm?"

"What did Jungkook wish for?"

Yoongi gives the other a bewildered stare.

"It was the mochi that did this, right? That's what I remember you all talking about."

A nod.

"Okay well Jungkook ate a piece too, remember? Did we find out if his wish came true?"

When Yoongi couldn't give Jimin a solid answer, the two decided to investigate. Upon further inspection and interrogation they did find out what Jungkook had wished for (and yes, it did come true). Let's just say the youngest's members wish was.....interesting.

"Oh my god! You did not? Jeon Jungkook!"

"That's it," Jungkook grumbles out, "I'm never eating mochi again."

Notes:

Since there's been some confusion regarding the ending: it's left open ended for your own personal interpretation! You decide for yourself what Jungkook wished for;)
