    Ryder Long lived in a world where soulmates were real, and everybody had one. Sometimes, rarely, you had two. But only 2% of the world’s population had three. Everybody had an indicator of their soulmate, the first words the person would speak to you.

    Ryder was part of the 2%, or 144 million, people to have three soulmates. She had her soulmates' first words to her practically memorized. She daydreamed about the situations she would find herself in when it came to meeting them for the first time. But what she didn’t plan on was who they turned out to be and the trouble they caused for an empath like her.
