Chapter Text
As Prince of the Underworld, Bakugou Katsuki had no interest in the mortal world. He preferred his solace and felt he belonged when he was in the Underworld, but being there still made him feel like his life was dull and had no drive to it.
It was true that in the Underworld he was treated with respect, but in the mortal world, no one really regarded him or knew who he was, which, in a way, was better for him. He didn’t care much what the mortals did or what they thought of him and didn’t want to deal with their emotions and such, so their death didn’t affect him really. He watched as souls, of all ages, trickle into the the Underworld. He felt that the older people entering the Asphodel Meadows wasted their life and could have accomplished something, but as children entered the meadows, he felt like they really hadn’t had the chance to prove themselves, which wasn’t fair. Though, Katsuki didn’t make the rules, they were placed for a reason and had a choice to be reincarnated if they wished. Other than that, Whether they die from old age or from battle, Katsuki really didn’t care much about their lives in the mortal world. If they were sent to the Asphodel Meadows or Tartarus, they weren’t good enough to him.
Katsuki had split the Underworld into three majors parts in his mind, even though there were more places to the ‘geography’ of the Underworld, but this is how he thought of it.
First, There was the field of punishment, know as Tartarus. This is a place Katsuki would never hope to visit in his lifetime. It was located in the deepest depths of the Underworld, where only the worst suffered eternal damnation.
Then, there were the Asphodel Meadows, where most souls would usually ended up. The meadows were for those who really didn’t accomplish anything, but where souls would go to live a peaceful afterlife. Katsuki visited the Meadows a lot, mostly because he could train in peace, no souls would really bother him since they knew who he was.
Finally, There were the Elysian Fields, where Katsuki wanted to end up when it was his time, if he didn’t find a way to become a god by that point (which he knew he would find a way to accomplish that, of course). The Elysian Field were reserved for only the greatest heroes and demigods, the ones who accomplished great things and would be remembered throughout history. Katsuki used to visit there often and listen to the tales of heroes as a child, but then he got sick of the repetition and laziness of those lame heroes, he knew he could be way better than those idiots. Katsuki wanted to be a strong demigod, strong enough to even become a God.
Katsuki wanted more and he had always felt like he was destined to have more in life. One day he will inherit the throne from his mother somehow and become the God of the Underworld but until then, he found himself doing his mothers bidding…. much to his dismay.
“That bitch thinks she could just order me around to do stupid shit…” He mumbled to himself as his chariot brought him to the temple dedicated to his mother. His boots crunched against the gravel as he made his way inside and sought out the offerings presented to them...only to find it empty. He growled in irritation.
“Tch...like these disgusting mortals would ever offer anything to that bitch…” He furrowed his eyebrows as his finger slid against the dust encrusted offering plate. He wiped his finger on his crimson cloak in disgust as he turned to leave the temple, kicking something along the ground in his haste. He watched the item roll to the corner of the temple, looking very familiar to him as he eyed it. Striding over and kneeling to the ground, he picked up the round object and cleaned it off with his glove, revealing the bright maroon exterior underneath. He realized what it was and scoffed.
“A fucking pomegranate, we have a shitload of these in the Underworld…” He said, much to his annoyance. Pomegranates were known as the ‘fruits of life’, the represented life, marnage and rebirth, according to his mother, who was found of the messy fruit and had a entire grove dedicated to them in the meadows. He eyed it and finally sighed. Standing up, he put the pomegranate in a pouch on his belt, returning to his chariot.

(Uraraka’s P.OV)
Ochako sat in the field of flowers in front of her home, with arms wrapped around her legs and her chin resting on her knees. She hated feeling of being trapped by her mother, for the fear of her being ‘abducted’ all thanks to a stupid prophecy, which Ochako found ridiculous. All her life, her mother dictated this fear, making it grow upon her that Ochako wouldn’t leave, even though she knew deep down it couldn’t be true. Ever since she was little, her mother warned her to not travel past the field, all because of a prophecy given to her by a God, Hermes. According to the ‘prophecy’ Ochako would find herself being abducted from her home and make a decision that would affect the lives of mortals forever. Ochako scoffed at the thought of it. Why was the decision upon her shoulders? She wasn’t Atlas, the titan who actually has to hold the world entirely on his shoulders! Also, It wasn’t like she was a god, only a mere demigod!
She sighed to herself as she twirled one of the daisy’s beside her. She remembered when she was younger that she had tried to run away once, but her mother ended up finding her in the nearby village. Ochako was playing with the mortal children, feeling normal and happy for once, until her mother ran up and pulled her away. Seeing the look of anger and worry across her mother's face made Ochako feel guilty, even though she secretly wished she hadn’t been found. Her mother warned her that if Ochako ran off again, the village would suffer as a consequence, and Ochako didn’t want any harm to be done to them. Though, Ochako still had the desire to just run away and never look back, she wished she could forget morals and just live free from fear and her mother's grasp on her life….yet here she was, letting fear control her.
“Persephone! Come away from the edge of the field please…” Demeter called from their small house and Ochako stood and walked over to her. It wasn’t like there was anyone around that ever passed by this area anyways. If Ochako faced her fears, she could run away and discover the world that she has only read about, but she kept holding herself back.
“Mother, I told you i’m fine, there is no one around! Also, I asked you to call me Ochako...” The brunette said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she walked over to her mother.
“Pere-...Ochako...You know I just worry, I just want you to be safe and happy. Which is why you must stay in the house until I come back.” Demeter said as she packed a small bag. Hearing this, Ochako frowned.
“What? Where are you going and why can’t I come with you?” Ochako said as she followed her to the door.
“Ochako, you know the proph-” Demeter started and Ochako sighed in frustration.
“I know the ‘prophecy’! It doesn’t make sense, I haven’t seen a mortal, demigod or god since I was 5, ever since Hermes told you the stupid prophecy!” Ochako said in frustration as tears threatened to fall from her round soft eyes.
“OCHAKO” Her mother yelled sternly, the whole room echoing her yell. Ochako flinched slightly at her tone. Demeter sighed shakily and rubbed her temples. “Ochako...I’m sorry, but I will be back as soon as possible...I just need to check our temple for offerings! I can’t risk you leaving, I know you will be safe here.” Demeter said as she caressed Ochako’s cheek and gave her a big hug. Ochako felt numb to her touch, looking anywhere other than her mother.
“I will cover the area with small rainstorm to keep any stragglers away, that way you will be safe...Promise to stay inside….no matter what?” Demeter said as she rubbed her thumb on Ochako’s cheek. Ochako nodded slowly and Demeter smiled.
“Bye my Spring Flower, remember, this door stays locked....” Demeter said, her tone dry as she closed the door and Ochako went to lock it. Ochako sullenly walked over to the window and watched her mother take the chariot and leave, turning the sky into a dark gray. As soon as it began to rain, Ochako blinked and sat down at the table. She was worried her mother would have one of her outbursts again, so she was careful not to anger her. Ochako clenched her fists in frustration.
'I just want to be...free….' Ochako whispered to herself as her tears threatened to fall again, until she heard a chariot approaching not even moments later.
“She’s back already?” Ochako said aloud as she wiped her eyes, she didn’t want her mother to comment on why she was crying. “...I wonder if she forgot something…” Ochako said softly as she opened the door, gasping aloud and quickly closing it upon the realization that it definitely wasn’t her mother's chariot.
