I wanna be a hero Papa.
Midoriya Hisashi, most infamously known as All For One, steals his son’s Quirk the night after he hears those words pass his lips. It’s a quirk similar to his own, he can tell immediately, but mutated in a way like his brothers. Ingestion of some form of bodily fluid or part to acquire the quirk, and ingestion of some of his own to pass it on. He can’t quite tell if Izuku would simply have a copy of the quirk, or complete theft, but it’s not like it matters.
His son is now Quirkless, and if he’s Quirkless he can’t be a hero.
He’ll never have to worry about fighting Izuku. He’ll never have to worry about killing Izuku.
Izuku is Quirkless.
Izuku is safe.

Izuku is All Might’s protege.
His successor.
Izuku is the Ninth vessel of One for All.
He failed.
Hisashi tries to ignore the cowering children hiding in the rubble, tries to ignore his son’s foolish bravery. Much too like his brother Yuuto. For all Izuku looks a perfect blend of himself and Inko, he’d managed to inherit Yuuto’s spirit. Both figuratively and literally.
For the time being, he’ll let it slide, figure out a new plan.
For now?
It’s time to put an end to All Might.
Destroy the man who’s taken everything from him.
Once and for all.
