Jungkook is in the last year of high school. He is admired by so many people that many others feel jealous of him. He receives confessions from many students, from both boys and girls. Some of them don't take it to heart when he says 'no' to them but a few people do force him to change his mind.
The problem is, Jungkook likes someone. Looking at the shy person walk around the college near their high school, makes Jungkook's day.
'Taehyung, why can't we be together?' He pouts as he watches the elder walking a few feet away from him.
Taehyung is a sophomore year shy student, who mainly speaks to his only friend, Park Jimin, and occasionally to Jimins group of friends in which Jungkook is a part of.
Taehyung is oblivious to Jungkook's feelings even though they meet occasionally as a part of the friends group.
One day, all of them are supposed to meet at a coffee shop. Yoongi and Jungkook reach there early and wait for the others to reach there. But Jungkook sees a girl who confessed to him a few days ago and is now forcing him to go out on a date. Even though Jungkook said no to her, she seems to be determined which frustrates him.
"Hyung, she is crazy! Yesterday she literally cornered me to tell that she planned for an event if I won't accept to go out on a date with her by this weekend. Please help me!!" He clutches on to Yoongi's hand and pleads him.
"Tell her that you have a boyfriend. Maybe, she'll stop pestering you." He says while drinking a caramel macchiato.
"This is wired! Why aren't you drinking your usual drink? Also, isn't this Jimin-hyung's favourite-"
"I don't have the right to drink it?" Yoongi becomes defensive which confuses Jungkook.
"Why are you behaving weird today? You are not your usual- omg! Hyung! Look at her, she is looking at me through the glass door from outside. Do something!!" Jungkook shakes the elder who sighs and asks him to stop shaking him.
"Alright, pick someone from your friends and tell her that you love him! That's all I can suggest!" Yoongi shrugs.
The girl walks towards them into the coffeehouse and stares at Jungkook while standing beside him.
Taehyung runs towards the coffee house as he was late. He calls Jimin but he tells him that he is busy with the dance club members and told Taehyung to tell the others that he won't be coming today. Jimin also tells him about Hoseok who is practicing along with him.
As soon as he reaches the coffeehouse, he looks at Jungkook who is holding Yoongi's hands who looks very shocked. He walks near to them as the girl shouts at them, "This is not fair!"
"...we have been together for some time now." Jungkook tells her which surprises Taehyung.
"But, nobody knows about this!!" The girl shouts at them again causing Yoongi to roll his eyes, "I don't care what you feel about him, but please leave us alone. We are in a relationship!" He glares at her which makes her storm away from that place.
Taehyung slowly walks towards them and sits at the table.
"Jimin and Hoseok-hyung won't be able to come here." He says in a low voice.
Jungkook wants to know if something is bothering Taehyung but he couldn't, as Taehyung gets up and apologizes, "I'm sorry... I forgot about something. I should go now... will meet you guys another day." He apologizes again and runs away. To be honest, Taehyung wants to spend time with them. He wants to make friends with Jimins group of friends.
Jimin was the one who forced Taehyung to meet his group of friends when Taehyung was shy to interact with anyone. He made Taehyung meet with his five other friends. Taehyung was so uncomfortable for the first few times he met the group but later, he started to open up. He still isnt so close to them but he is on the way to call them as his 'friends'. He also developed a tiny crush on the maknae in their group, Jungkook.
After listening to Jungkook telling that he and Yoongi are in a relationship, he becomes sad. For a moment, he contemplated going away without meeting the guys but he forced himself to go. Not even a few minutes later, he doesn't want to sit there anymore, thinking that he shouldn't be getting in between their personal time. So, he runs away from there and by the time he reaches his dorm, he discovers that his face is filled with tears.
Jungkook and Yoongi look at Taehyung while he runs away from there and get puzzled.
"Why did he run away?" Yoongi asks Jungkook who is equally wondering why he was behaving a little different today.
"I-I don't know, hyung!" Jungkook becomes sad as he couldn't see the elder for more than a few minutes, when he thought he would make some efforts today to get close to his shy hyung.
"Anyway, I'll call Jin-hyung. You call Namjoon and ask where the heck they are on this planet and why are they making us wait here for so long!"
Jin tells that he's nearby and Namjoon tells Jungkook that he'll reach there in a few minutes.
"Hyung, please don't tell anyone about the fake relationship thingy. I promise I'll settle everything in the next few days."
"Yah, why would it hurt to tell our friends about it?" Yoongi frowns at Jungkook who is shaking his head, "Please hyung!! This is so embarrassing. I don't want them to know about it!"
"But Kook, if the girl tells everyone in the school about our fake relationship, then eventually all of the others will get to know."
Jungkook didn't think about it in this way.
"Omg! What should we do now?" Jungkook holds his head and is about to scream in frustration.
"Kook, relax! This is not that big of a problem. You are just panicking unnecessarily.
Go to the girl and tell her that you are interested only in guys. At least that will solve half of the problem. Then tell her that you are not actually in a relationship with me." Yoongi shrugs.
"Not as easy to do as you said!" Jungkook mumbles but stops speaking as Jin enters the coffeehouse.
At night, Yoongi goes into his dorm room and finds Jimin, his roommate, standing beside his study table.
He hugs the younger and kisses him.
"I missed you." He mumbles as the younger looks at him.
"I couldn't come to meet you because we have been practicing. Hoseok-hyung wants us to change a few steps in the choreography."
"Are you tired?"
Jimin yawns and nods his head, "Yes. I will sleep now... was waiting for you."
Yoongi kisses him again but he has many things to complete before going to sleep.
"I'll sleep a little later."
Jimin nods and plops down on his bed but Yoongi looks at him and hesitantly asks him about something, "Can you keep a secret?"
Jimin tilts his head to a side and looks at the elder in confusion, "About what?"
"Just answer me first!"
"Hyung, that actually depends upon many things. Also, once, I promised Taehyung that I won't lie to him or hide anything from him. So,..." Jimin shrugs but keeps looking at Yoongi.
'Why did this become so complicated?' Yoongi groans inside but smiles at Jimin.
"Okay, sleep now."
"What was that about?" Jimin frowns a little.
"Ah nothing! Just go to sleep." Yoongi goes away into the bathroom and screams inside his head.
"Jeon Jungkook!! I am going to kick you!" He mutters under his breath while he almost pulls his hair; the younger's request to be his fake boyfriend may land him into a trouble, which he prays to not be a big one. Jungkook requested him not to tell it to anyone, so Yoongi contemplated whether he has to tell Jimin about everything but as soon as Jimin told that he won't hide anything with Taehyung, he couldn't tell Jimin about the fake relationship thingy.
What he didn't realize is that, Jimin might have already told about their dates to Taehyung.
Yoongi and Jimin have been liking each other discreetly but both of them didn't tell it out. After becoming roommates, they used to steal glances at one another and blush when they get caught by the other. So, one day, finally, Yoongi asked Jimin out to which he squealed and jumped and ran out of the room, confusing Yoongi.
Both of them were terrified on their date imagining all sorts of scenarios where it can go wrong... like, Jimin being clumsy, or Yoongi speaking something that the other might misunderstand, but at the end of the date, they were surprised by how comfortable they were with each other.
They thought of keeping it a secret with others for now. But, Jimin couldn't hide it from Taehyung who has always been supportive of Jimin. Taehyung hugged him tight and cheered for Jimin who started getting flustered by the thought of going out on a date with Yoongi.
Jimin used to tell everything to Taehyung, their dates, fights, the times he cried, felt insecure... whenever he cries in front of Taehyung, Tae hugs him tight, comforts him and tells him that everything will get better.
So now, Taehyung thinks about the whole situation and contemplates if he should tell about what he saw today. He doesn't want to hurt Jimin by telling this because he knows that Jimin is going to cry. But, he doesn't want to hide it from Jimin too.
He asks Jimin to meet him in the cafeteria the next day after classes. The whole night, he couldn't sleep. His roommate gets annoyed when he sniffles remembering the conversation, '...we have been together for some time now.'
But, if Jungkook and Yoongi have been together for some time now, then it means... it means Yoongi is cheating on Jimin.
"OMG!!" he gasps loudly which makes his roommate to throw his pillow at Taehyung's face.
The next day, the girl who is jealous of Jungkook and Yoongi's relationship, starts to spread the word to other students at high school, which later spreads to the college. Jimin gets to know it and starts feeling discomfort.
He wants to ask Yoongi about it but he meets Taehyung at the cafeteria. Taehyung takes a few moments to fiddle with his sleeve and try to start the conversation but gives up.
"Do you have anything to do now?" He asks Jimin, to which he shakes his head.
"Then, let's go to my room. My roommate is going to a party. He won't be back till tomorrow."
They go to Taehyung's room right away. Taehyung buys ice-cream on the way and Jimin wonders why Taehyung is behaving in a peculiar way today.
After going to Taehyung's room, Jimin holds Taehyung and asks him, "You are freaking me out!! Tell me what has happened!"
Taehyung gulps and sighs, "I- Yesterday I came to know that Jungkook and Yoongi-hyung are together... they have been for some time now."
Taehyung purses his lips and looks at Jimin who looks sad. His eyes start to get blurry. Jimin goes to sit on Taehyung's bed and cries out.
"I heard it from other students today. But I thought it was just some rumours being spread by a crazy girl. Turns out... turns out…!!" He sniffles and cries again.
Taehyung couldn't see his best friend crying, so he tries to console him but Jimin is clearly devastated.
"I didn't want to believe all those rumours. But now, I know it is true!" He sobs and cries while hugging Taehyung who starts crying along with him.
"Jimin, I didn't tell it to you before but, I have a crush on Jungkook, but yesterday..."
Jimin gasps and holds the other tight, "Omg! I can't believe that we have so terrible luck!"
They cry for an hour and fall asleep in Taehyung's bed.
Yoongi gets worried that Jimin didn't return to dorm. He calls the younger's number but Jimin is already asleep, so he doesn't answer the call.
Yoongi asks Hoseok if Jimin is practicing dance but Hoseok says that they didn't had any practice sessions today.
He stays worried throughout the night and so, he couldn't sleep properly. Also, he was busy at the moment with assignments and has very few classes for the whole week. So, Yoongi decides to skip the classes and concentrate on his studies.
Jimin starts avoiding Yoongi. He doesn't answer his calls or texts the next day. When Yoongi catches him before running out of their room, Jimin coldly tells Yoongi not to speak with him.
The elder is shocked at it. Jimin gets mad at him at times and Yoongi had to try very hard to even know the reason why the younger is mad at him. He is used to these situations but this time, Jimin seems to be hurt way too much.
He holds Jimin tight but the younger is stronger than him, so Jimin frees himself and walks away. Yoongi goes inside his room in shock and cries. He feels utterly sad as Jimin words are so cold. Every time they fought, Jimin yells, screams and sometimes uses swear words but he was never so cold towards him. Jimin whines, punches and throws things away but this... this is unbearable.
Yoongi wants to know why he changed but Jimin doesn't answer his calls.
Jungkook wants to talk to Taehyung and get closer to him. So, he tries to text the elder but he hesitates. He gets so stressed at it that he puts his mobile away and screams. He spends almost an hour in making up courage to text the elder but he couldn't. He opens his books and studies for some time to take his mind away from the stress. Little did he know that Taehyung has heard the conversation at coffeehouse.
Jungkook doesn't even know about the rumours until he gets a text from his classmate about it.
'Jungkook, I heard that you are in a relationship with a guy from college...' the guy tells about the rumours that are being spread among the students. Some of them were disappointed but some of them want to hurt the guy from college who took away their chance of dating Jungkook... as if Jungkook betrayed them. He politely rejected people's confessions but jealousy filled their brains and now, they are thinking about getting it out on Yoongi.
Taehyung on the other hand tries to ignore the thoughts of Jungkook because he knows that he doesn't have a chance with him now. But everything seems to be a mess. He was slowly trying to open up to people and get better at interacting with Jungkook and his friends so that one day he can ask him out on a date, but now, he can't.
'Yoongi is a great guy. If he was not dating Jimin, he would be a good one for Jungkook.' Taehyung thinks as he walks to his room. He looks at Jungkook who is standing a few tens of feet away from him. As soon as the younger looks at him, Taehyung looks away and walks to his room as fast as he can. He doesn't want to look at the younger, he doesn't want to talk to him and stay away from him as much as he can, so that he can forget him easily.
'Just a crush, Taehyung! It's nothing big. It is easy to forget!' he tells himself but somewhere in his heart, he feels sad for himself. Jimin asks him if he could stay at his room for a few days and Taehyung accepts for that.
A few days pass and nothing is resolved. If at all, things are slowly going out of control. Jimin avoids meeting any of his hyungs. He even skips going to dance club. Hoseok gets worried but Jimin tells him that he needs a break.
Jungkook's classmates started to ignore him and some of them pass hurtful comments at him out of jealousy. He gets stressed about what he has to do in order to make things better but he is clueless at where exactly everything went wrong.
Yoongi and Jungkook meet at the coffeehouse and asks the others to meet them but Jimin and Taehyung don't respond to them. Sitting inside the coffeehouse, Jungkook observes Taehyung and Jimin going towards Taehyung's room and tells it to Yoongi.
Jungkook wants to talk to Taehyung and feel better in this mess whereas Yoongi wants to clear things up with Jimin but none of them could do that since Taehyung and Jimin run away from there.
'Is Taehyung avoiding me?' Jungkook starts to observe that Taehyung is indeed going away from wherever he is when he looks at Jungkook.
'Ugh! Maybe I am looking too much into this!' he brushes it off as he has more pressing issues at this moment.
Yoongi catches Jimin again at the dorm room and asks him why he is ignoring him so much. Jimin doesn't speak anything. He just takes a few pairs of his clothes in his bag.
"Jimin, baby, I am really getting worried-"
"Don't call me that!" Jimin hisses at him. He loved it when Yoongi called him by nicknames, but now, it is cringey. Also, when he is in a relationship with Jungkook, why is Yoongi addressing him as 'baby'?
"Baby-"
Jimin glares at him so Yoongi sighs and walks towards him, "Jimin, what happened?"
"What happened? What happened??? You cheated on me! That's what's happened!!"
"Cheated-? Baby, I never-"
"Oh, maybe I shouldn't call it cheating because we just went out on a few dates, apparently there was nothing else between us in your opinion."
Yoongi can't believe what he just heard. First of all, 'cheating'? He doesn't love anyone else... well he never said to Jimin that he loves him, but he doesn't really like anyone other than Jimin. And where is it even coming from,... 'cheating'?
"Oh!! maybe you have been in a relationship with Jungkook even before you asked me out on a date... Omg! This is sick!! I didn't-"
"Jungkook?" Yoongi asks him in utter confusion but it hits him now.
"Omg! Omg!" Yoongi looks at the younger with eyes wide opened, "Jimin, it was not what you think it is!" He tries to explain everything to Jimin but the younger stops him.
"I don't want to fall for your words anymore. I really thought that we were happy, but I was wrong!
Hyung, this is Jungkook! He is innocent and young. Please don't play with his feelings!" He says and storms away before Yoongi could speak out anything.
Yoongi takes a few moments to understand everything and texts Jungkook to meet him right away.
But Jungkook is busy with his assignments, so he doesn't look at the texts and falls asleep after studying.
The next day, Jungkook tells Yoongi to meet him at the college. He sees Taehyung walking along with Jimin. As soon as they look at each other, Taehyung walks away holding Jimin's hand.
Jungkook feels defeated.
'Why is he avoiding me?' he pouts but goes to meet Yoongi.
Yoongi meets Jungkook and tells that they shouldn't have started the fake relationship thing.
Jungkook doesn't know that Yoongi and Jimin went out on dates, so he couldn't understand why Yoongi is so dejected.
"Hyung, the rumours will subside in sometime. Anyway, nobody in the college bothers about these rumours. I had a terrible time at school though. I am just trying to concentrate on studies-" Jungkook's rambling gets interrupted by Yoongi, "I have been together with Jimin for some time now."
Jungkook looks at him a little confused, "Yeah, you are roommates... Why do you have to tell it to me when I know it already?"
Yoongi's jaw drops at Jungkook's words. He facepalms really hard, "I really don't know what to do with you!!" He deadpans causing Jungkook to pout and get more confused.
"Jungkook, listen! Jimin and I have been going out on dates for some time now!"
Jungkook's mouth forms an 'O'.
"I'm happy for you, hyung. Jimin-hyung is a great guy-"
"Will you let me speak??" Yoongi glares at him which makes Jungkook become quiet.
"Jimin heard the rumours about out fake relationship. He believes that we really are together and he kind of fought with me... I don't know if I can actually use the term 'break-up' here, but I think that is what has happened yesterday." Yoongi's voice starts to break and he is on the verge of crying but he calms himself. He tells Jungkook everything about the fight and becomes quiet.
"Omg! Hyung I'm so sorry! I never thought... Well, I didn't know about your relationship, so I thought this fake relationship thing won't hurt anyone. Why didn't you tell Jimin-hyung about it yesterday?"
Yoongi slowly turns to him with a glare, "Was I talking to you in Klingon?"
Jungkook purses his lips, "Hyung-"
"I clearly told you that I tried telling him that it was fake but he didn't give me a chance to explain. He doesnt reply to my texts nor does he answer my calls.
I think he's staying with Taehyung, but..."Yoongi sighs, "I don't know what to do now! I miss him. I miss Jimin so much."
"Hyung, I know it has nothing to do with all this mess, but Taehyung is avoiding me." Jungkook speaks out. Yoongi ignores it at first, but he gasps, "Omg! Jimin might have told everything to Taehyung, so he must be- hold on a second! Why is he avoiding YOU? Jimin thinks that you are innocent and he told me not to play with your feelings... Taehyung ignoring you doesn't make any sense to me."
They keep talking when Jin comes to their table and plops down on the chair beside Jungkook.
"Jungkook-ah, don't grow up... the world is so harsh!" Jin pouts at the maknae but Yoongi rolls his eyes, "Hyung, stop being so dramatic! And stop scaring the kid!" He slaps Jin's arm which makes him pout even more.
"Yah! My boss is being mean to me! You just wait for some time. You'll agree with me when you start working, you brat!" Jin flares his nostrils at Yoongi, "Anyway, I've been so busy, so I couldn't meet all of you guys.
What about the others? Are they going to come here?" Jin asks Yoongi but he shakes his head. Jin observes that both of the younger ones are sad. He wants to cheer them up but he came to know about the rumours and wants to find out what actually has happened.
When Yoongi and Jungkook tell him their side of the story, Jin feels that there might have been a huge misunderstanding somewhere. He wants all of them to sit at a place and speak out everything so that all of them will know where things have gone wrong. He wants to scold Jungkook and Yoongi for what they have done but today is not the day for that. Scolding them won't solve anything, if only, it is going to make them feel worse.
Jin goes away from there and meets Namjoon and Hoseok. He explains them everything he knows.
"Oh! I have been worried about Jimin all along. He didn't show up at the dance club. When I met him, he just spoke few words and went away. I thought he was in a bad mood because of assignments or something. I didn't expect this...
So, Yoongi-hyung and Jimin, huh? Anyway, Jimin looked like he has been skipping his meals. He had dark circles around his eyes and looks like a wreck. We should do something about it, Jin-hyung." Hoseok tells Jin and Namjoon nods at it, "It doesn't make sense why Taehyung has been avoiding Jungkook."
"Namjoon, Jimin might have told Taehyung about the rumours which he clearly believes are true. So, Taehyung is avoiding him-"
"No, Jimin thinks that Jungkook is being the victim here, well victim is a big word, but yeah, I think you get what I'm saying..."
Hoseok looks at him in confusion, "Do You?"
Namjoon facepalms and looks at Jin and back to Hoseok again, "Yah, when Jimin thinks that Yoongi-hyung is the one who made a mistake, and Jungkook is being innocent, who is being played by Yoongi-hyung, why do think Taehyung will avoid Jungkook because of all this mess?"
Namjoon looks into Hoseok's eyes as the other starts to grasp his words.
"I think we all are missing something here. I don't know what it is but I'm sure that this can only be resolved when all the four of them sit and talk." Namjoon declares it to the eldest.
"That is not going to happen easily! Rather, we should force all the four of them to talk in front of us. Let's make it this way... I guess all of it started with the fake relationship thing. We'll make them tell their part of the story after one another. Maybe that can help clear things. If it doesn't work, then let's think about something else." Jin tells the younger ones and they nod at him.
"Let's all meet tomorrow at the coffeehouse. Nobody skips it! If Jimin or Taehyung say that they can't meet us, we'll force them and drag them to the coffeehouse!" Jin says firmly, "I can't see them suffering."
"Wah Jin-hyung, you are being so determined about it!" Hoseok chuckles.
"Of course! Someone has to do that! I know Yoongi won't listen to anyone else other than me. So, I'll gladly take it up as my responsibility."
Jin texts everyone about the meeting at coffeehouse tomorrow. As expected, Jimin and Taehyung tell him that they won't be able to come but Jin warns them that he is going to drag them to coffeehouse no matter where they'll run to.
Jimin whines in front of Taehyung, "Why is Jin-hyung being so stubborn?"
Taehyung laughs dryly, "I think, we are being stubborn too. Jin-hyung doesn't speak this way without a reason. Let's meet him and find out what is going on."
"But Tae, I don't want to meet anyone of them yet. Yoongi and I hid our relationship in front of them. Yoongi is with Jungkook now, and everything will be awkward!"
"Jimin, we can't avoid them forever. Someday, we have to talk to them. You can't stop talking to your other friends just because of the problem with Yoongi-hyung.
Also, tell Jin-hyung everything that has happened. He can help you." Taehyung advices Jimin to which, the other nods and it seems to be a good step to take. Jin is more mature than any of them and everyone listens to him when he says anything. He may act goofy but when it comes to things that are important, he shows patience and acts as the elder brother they all need.
So, Jimin and Taehyung go to the coffeehouse at the time Jin texted them yesterday. Jin comes a few seconds later, followed by Namjoon and Hoseok.
Jimin gives an apologetic look to Hoseok who waves it off and hugs him tight, "Im always there for you, Jimin. Take your time."
A few minutes later, Yoongi and Jungkook walk towards them and get startled after seeing Taehyung and Jimin.
Jimin is about to walk away from there when he sees Yoongi but Jin holds his wrist.
"Sit!" He says firmly.
"Hyung-" Jimin starts whining but Jin's expression holds him off from running away. He sits in his chair and looks away from Yoongi.
"Alright!" Jin claps to get everyone's attention, "Three of you are being the biggest idiots on this planet. The first idiot-" he points at Jungkook, "the second one-" he points at Yoongi who is sitting beside Jungkook, "and here, this is the third one!" He points to Jimin and crosses his arms.
"Hyung, you need not call me an idiot-" Jimin says with a frown but Jin stops him.
Taehyung feels highly uncomfortable sitting there. He wants to go away from this place. And the proximity of Jungkook is making him go crazy. Added to it is the fact that Jungkook has been looking at him whenever Taehyung looks at the younger.
"I'm not going to speak much. Just give me a few seconds and you three idiots are going to speak one after the other!" Jin tells Jimin who glares at him.
"Alright, by now, everyone knows about Yoongi and Jimin going on dates, right?" Jin asks them and everyone nod at it.
"Okay, you all heard about the relationship between Yoongi and Jungkook, right?" Jin asks them.
Taehyung keeps fiddling and wants to say that he doesn't want to be here but Yoongi speaks out.
"Hyung, it was not what-"
"Yoongi!" Jin gives him a short glare, "Everyone will get their turn!"
At this, all of them become quiet.
"Now, what I can understand is that, things started to turn bad when Jungkook had been frustrated by that girl! So, Jungkook, why don't you start telling what has happened?"
Jungkook tells about the fake relationship thing and that is when Taehyung realizes that it wasn't true. He curses himself for believing it but he couldn't help himself... How could he doubt it when he heard it by himself?!
Jimin rolls his eyes at the 'fake' part.
But when they start telling each other about what has happened, everyone realizes that all the four of them; Yoongi, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook were stuck in between the misunderstandings which arose because they didn't tell everyone about what is going on. If Yoongi and Jimin didn't hide their relationship, Jungkook wouldn't have thought of asking Yoongi to be his fake boyfriend.
Taehyung just heard a little bit of the conversation and thought it was true, when he could have asked Jungkook and Yoongi about it. Jimin didn't even give Yoongi a chance to explain anything. Also, Yoongi should have told Jimin about this fake relationship thingy right on the first day but he didn't.
Small misunderstandings can lead to a huge mess and everyone learns it now.
"So, Jungkook" Namjoon starts speaking as the four of them tell their side of the story, "First of all, this fake relationship things won't work... at all. The truth will eventually come out and it'll hurt more after that. Also, I heard that some of your jealous classmates have been planning to hurt Yoongi as they are jealous of him.
There are other ways of handling those issues but never think of a fake relationship.
Secondly, if you won't tell us anything, it will get tough for us to help you when misunderstandings arise. It is true that we tease each other for mostly everything. But we support you when it is needed." Namjoon turns to Taehyung, "Please don't feel uncomfortable around us. You can think of us as your friends. I know you are shy but you can have fun with all of us." He smiles at Taehyung which puts the younger at ease even though he tensed up because everyone was looking at him.
"Thank you, hyung." He smiles at Namjoon but goes back to being quiet.
"Idiot number 2! Min Yoongi, genius!" Jin speaks to Yoongi as the other glares at him, "Yoongi, why did you have to hide your relationship with us? We all care for you even though you feel burdened by us goofing around."
"Hyung, I never said I feel burdened. I may not be so open at telling it but I am happy to have you as friends." he mumbles which makes Jin coo at him and pinch his cheeks. Only Jin could dare pinching his cheeks so the look on Yoongi's face make the younger ones chuckle.
Jin clears his throat and starts speaking again, "When Jimin told you that he won't hide anything from Taehyung, how could you miss this point that you shouldn't hide important things with Jimin, the person you are dating?! They are friends and they don't want anything to keep them apart, but you being in a relationship with him, what made you think that hiding this would not cause any problems?"
Jin's question makes sense to Yoongi and he nods his head as tears pool in his eyes. He wants to apologize Jimin but he couldn't speak anything.
Jin holds Yoongi's hand to comfort him as Hoseok looks at Jimin, "Jiminah, you are very patient and you listen to every one of us when we need someone. But when you become angry, you forget the fact that all of us are humans and we'll make mistakes. You should clearly have given Yoongi-hyung a chance to explain." Jimin starts tearing up and Hoseok wipes his tears, "I know you were hurt, but this wouldn't have been a big mess if you would have let Yoongi-hyung speak out. All of us get stressed by our insecurities but this situation could have been avoided altogether, Jimin.
Also, don't stop speaking to all of us when something like this happens. We love you, care for you and we'll help you with anything. If you won't speak out, none of us will know that something is making you suffer."
Jimin holds Hoseok's hand and cries out. Yoongi tries to control his tears when he looks that Jimin is crying.
"I'm sorry." Taehyung speaks in a low voice, "If I didn't have told Jimin about what I heard, maybe he could have talked it out with Yoongi-hyung..." Taehyung looks at Jimin apologetically but Jin speaks to him, "It was unfortunate how things have happened, but Jimin wasn't willing to speak to Yoongi at all. So, it wasn't your fault. It was just that, you should have listened to it completely, but you have gone away.
Anyway, all of you just forget what has happened and go back to your lives.
And, speak out kids! If you don't speak out, nothing will get resolved." Jin, Namjoon and Hoseok speak to the others about a few things and they go back to their own rooms.
Throughout the discussion, Jungkook didn't tell the others about his crush on Taehyung.
Taehyung didn't tell anyone about his crush on Jungkook, except for Jimin.
When Jimin and Yoongi go to their room, Yoongi apologizes Jimin.
The younger feels guilty about his behaviour towards Yoongi but he needs time to make peace with everything.
He goes into the bathroom and cries his heart out. He curses himself for being so impatient with the person he loves a lot.
Yoongi gets worried about Jimin as the younger has been inside the bathroom for a lot of time now, "Jimin, baby, what's making you sit inside the bathroom for so long? Come out please I want to hold you-" but then Yoongi freezes.
'May be, Jimin doesn't want to be with me anymore. That is the reason he is avoiding me!' he feels defeated, "Jimin, if you hate me, that's alright. But please let me hug you one last time before we stop being together."
Jimins heart clenches at Yoongi's words. He doesn't want to lose Yoongi. The elder had only been patient with Jimin all along. Even after the younger yelled at him, Yoongi only wanted to resolve things with Jimin but the younger was the one who didn't give him a chance. Yoongi was only trying to help Jungkook but everything backfired and became a huge mess.
Jimin walks out of the bathroom after wiping his tears. He slowly walks to Yoongi who is crying and sobbing, "Jimin, I'm sorry-"
Jimin kisses him after holding him tenderly, which shocks Yoongi at first as he didn't expect that the younger would still like him.
But then, he starts kissing Jimin and pulls himself back to tell how happy he is to be with Jimin.
"I love you, Jimin." Yoongi says as he tears up while looking into Jimin's eyes, "You need not-"
"I love you hyung. Omg I love you so much... I was a fool to imagine all those and... And I should have let you speak. I'm so sorry hyung!" Jimin peppers the elder with kisses.
They decide to make their relationship official and tell the others that they are boyfriends now.
On the other side of the story, Taehyung comes to know that Jungkook isn't in a relationship with Yoongi but he doesn't dare speaking to the younger. The next three days, he keeps avoiding Jungkook which frustrates the younger.
So, one final day, Jungkook holds Taehyung's wrist and makes him talk.
"Hyung, I don't know for what reason you used to avoid me, but you are still avoiding me and it makes me sad. Did I hurt you in any way?" Jungkook tries to look into Taehyung's eyes but the elder avoids eye contact.
"Hyung, I'm sorry if I hurt you... I have this huge crush on you and all along, I was trying to get closer to you so that I could ask you out on a date. But... I'm sorry. Maybe I hurt you so much for you to avoid me-"
Taehyung gets shocked when he hears that Jungkook has a crush on him, "You... you have a crush on me?" Taehyung points at himself while the younger nods.
"Jin-hyung was right! We all are idiots!" Taehyung bursts into laughter but Jungkook looks at him with tearful eyes, "I'm not an idiot just because I like you!"
Taehyung pouts as Jungkook misunderstood what he was saying, "Jungkook, remember the day you told the girl that you have been together with Yoongi-hyung for some time?"
Jungkook wipes his tears, "Yeah..."
"That day, I ran away after a few minutes..."
"Yes, I remember"
Taehyung purses his lips, "I was sad that you were in a relationship with Yoongi, because I like you and wanted to ask you out on a date, but I couldn't."
Jungkook's eyes have widened in shock, "what?"
Taehyung gives a shy smile and hides his face, "I like you, Jungkook."
Jungkook pouts and slaps him weakly in the chest, "We are idiots! We are big idiots!!"
But he laughs and hugs the elder, "I am sorry for the fake relationship thing. I didn't think it would lead to such a huge mess..."
"Don't worry about it. From now, don't hide things like that from any of us."
They stand like that for some time after which Jungkook remembers about his assignments, "Ugh, hyung! I have to go... I don't want to, but I have to work on my assignments." Jungkook pouts while Taehyung coos at him.
Jungkook deepens the pout which makes him look even cuter, Taehyung looks around and places a quick peck on Jungkooks lips which surprises the younger. He slaps the elder, "Hyung, you can't do this... You can't surprise me like that." To which Taehyung laughs but they kiss and this time, both of them get flustered.
"Take me out on a date." Jungkook winks at Taehyung and goes back to his room.
Well, Jungkook made a huge mistake but finally, he got together with the one he likes. All the misunderstandings have been cleared because of their eldest hyung so, Jungkook takes out his mobile and thanks Jin for everything.
