Chapter Text
“Jeon Jungkook again, I’m not surprised.”
The 22 years old boy could only smile sheepishly, leaning back on the chair he was sitting on as the man in front of him seemed ready to slap that smile from his face. “Nice to see you again.”
“Fighting in public and destroying private property,” The man said after sighing, reading the papers he had on his hands. “I’m surprised you haven’t planned stealing the bank.”
“Well that’s not bad is it? And a bank would be too troublesome, don’t feel like doing it,” He continued, crossing his arms. “Won’t be giving anyone the pleasure of sending me to jail.”
“What if I did it? What if I just use everything you have done to convince people you’re a public menace and send you to jail.”
“You know that’s not legal mister Hong,” Jungkook’s smile widened when he saw the man with light brown hair entering the room they were in and going to sit next to him. “But Jungkook, make a favour to the world and shut up.”
“I still can’t believe he’s your brother, you’re such an exceptional lawyer,” The man said, glancing at Jungkook who was paying more attention to something on the floor rather than what was happening. “Can’t imagine the struggle you have to endure every day, Seokjin.”
“I’m not here to talk about me,” The other said, sighing as he looked at the man. “I just came here for the sentence which can’t be jail since no one filed a lawsuit for aggression and the shop’s owner demanding the damages to his shop to be paid up is not enough.”
The man groaned something before leaving the papers on the table and crossing his arms. “The judge had condemned him to two hundred hours of community service and a fine.”
“Well that’s-“ Jungkook started, but stopped when Seokjin kicked his sheet from under the table.
“Has he determined the place he needs to serve it?” He asked, ignoring Jungkook’s glare.
“Of course, Busan’s therapy centre,” He said with a satisfied hum, taking one of the papers he had there and extending it to Seokjin. “He has the obligation of reporting to the director when he arrives and after living, if he fails to do so, he will be brought here for a new and more severe sentence.”
“Am I taking care of that people?” Jungkook asked with a raised brow.
“Of course not, God forbids them for even talking to you, you will only be cleaning and helping with what they ask you to do,” He said, glaring at him. “Just keep in mind that if you cause problems, the consequences won’t be as light as this one.”
“He understands and won’t be causing anything else,” Seokjin said before he could reply, standing up and forcing Jungkook to stand up by pulling his arm. “I have already payed his fine, good bye.”
“See you soon, Jungkook.”
The boy could only laugh as the other pulled him out, dragging him through the corridors till they were out of the police station, walking to the car he already knew when he let go of his arm.
“A fight, a fucking gang fight,” Seokjin started, stopping him from entering the car. “Are you serious Jungkook?”
“We are not even a gang hyung, what are you even saying,” He said, annoyance more than evident. “It was just a fight, they were being annoying and we settled this the only way we can.”
“Yeah, fighting like animals is the best choice,” Seokjin groaned, holding his arm again to pull him closer. “One of these days they won’t allow me to be your lawyer anymore and guess what, they will do whatever the fuck they want with you.”
“Sure, that won’t happen.”
“What’s wrong with you, Jungkook? I seriously don’t know what to do with you anymore!” He said, desperation more than evident in his voice. “What would mom say if she was here?!”
“Well, she’s not and will never be so no need to even think in that,” Jungkook said, glaring at his brother. “I haven’t kill anyone, haven’t stole anything either, what’s your problem?”
“You are my problem!” He almost yelled, pressing his hand to his face. “You can’t end up in jail and if you continue the way you’re heading, I don’t doubt you will end up doing that.”
“Dramatic.”
“Call me whatever you want, but you’re not seeing those idiots again and you will do what they ask you to do in that centre,” He said, opening the door and waiting for him to get in, ignoring the glare directed at him. “I will leave you in the centre every morning and come for you every afternoon.”
“What am I? A freaking toddler of what?”
“Well that’s how you are behaving so I will treat you like that,” He said, slamming the door shut and entering the other side. “I won’t let you end up in jail.”
Jungkook couldn’t say anything else as he saw his brother whipping the tears harshly away from his eyes, crossing his arms and looking at the road when he started the car.
He couldn’t believe he had to do this, going to such place was going to turn him into the biggest joke of his group, that wasn’t a gang as his dramatic brother had said, not to mention that the idea of working with such people is more than discouraging.
But he can’t do anything about it, that’s what he gets for getting caught.
