“Min Yoongi wake the fuck up!” An annoyed voice shouted in his ear, Instinctively Yoongi swung his fist towards the source of the sound and was stopped by an invisible barrier. His eyes shot open.
“Kim Seokjin you little shit!” He growled flipping the older man off him. Jin landed on the floor with a thump.
“I was trying to help you, you idiot.” Jin got to his feet, dusting his expensive looking clothes off. He thrust his pocket watch in Yoongi’s face.
“Who carries around a fucking pocket watch? Also, I don’t give a-” Yoongi’s eyes widened after seeing the time. “Holy fuck.” He muttered, tumbling out of bed. He raced downstairs to the second floor of the shop, grabbing his leather jacket on the way down.
Of course, there was a whole flock of ravens already waiting for him. He cursed, grabbing his notepad and pen and thanking the gods that it was a Sunday. The shop didn’t open on Sundays and he wasn’t in the mood to deal with customers.
“Who’s first?” He sighed, looking up at the birds.
“You really need to go to sleep sooner.” Jin appeared at the doorway.
“You really have to teleport everywhere don’t you.” Yoongi sighed, grabbing another note from a raven’s leg and coping it down onto his notepad.
“Yes, I do. I’m wearing nice clothes today.”
“You really just like to rub magic in my face don’t you.” Yoongi glared at him.
“Well, it’s not like you can’t-”
“I can’t Jin. I can’t use magic!” Yoongi
“That’s bullshit Yoongi, we both know that you’re the best in town.” Jin sounded angry. Yoongi stood up suddenly causing ravens to scatter.
“Maybe I was Jin! But definitely not anymore!”
“You’re a goddamn coward Yoongi.” Jin stared right at him, his tone icy. “Also, you’re still wearing your Kumamon pajamas.” He adds before disappearing.
“Fuck you too Jin,” Yoongi mutters, fully aware that Jin can’t hear him.
Ravens peck at Yoongi’s feet, reminding him that he still has a job to do. He groans and sits back down.
After another hour of taking orders. Yoongi heads back upstairs to change into a pair ripped jeans and a shirt. He leaves his jacket off since it’s starting to get hot.
He heads down the stairs again passing by the window where all the ravens fly in and pauses.
There’s a black cat sitting on the window sill, pawing at the glass. It made eye contact with Yoongi and tilts its head as if to say, why can the birds get in but not me?
“Tough luck pal.” Yoongi shrugged. “Jin enchanted the glass so that it only lets those stupid birds in.” He continued down another flight of stairs to his Apothecary. The sound of the strange cat tapping on glass continued as he began to gather ingredients.
“Why would someone need ten bags of pixie dust.” He chuckled, reading through one of the orders, “And frog guts? If that shit mixes, the glitter will go everywhere...fucking amateurs.”
There was a thud from upstairs.
“I swear to god I will push that cat off the window ledge.” Yoongi groaned, leaning back in his chair and massaging his temples.
As the soft sound of tapping persisted, Yoongi struggled to focus. He stood up abruptly and made his way towards the stairs, desperate for the noise to stop.
He was halfway there when his foot collided with a protruding floorboard. Yoongi let out a gasp of surprise as he staggered forward, slamming into a nearby shelf of ingredients to break his fall. He sighed in relief, heart still racing and looked up just in time to see a sizable glass jar filled with Alicorn wing feathers slowly tip forward and topple off the top shelf.
It seems to fall in slow motion, feathers spilling out and floating around the room, Yoongi swore he could see a shadow of a cat the top of the stairs.
The jar smashes against the side of his forehead and his vision goes dark.
“Yoonie?” A melodic voice breathes. “Sweetheart open your eyes.”
He stands in a valley of poppies. The wind blows across the flowers and he can feel them brush against his legs. He can hear birds chirping, bees buzzing.
“Yoonie!” He looks up to see Jaehyun , perched high in an ash tree a few yards away. His eyes sparkle in the sun. He waves and motions for Yoongi to join him.
“I’m coming!” Yoongi laughs, heading towards him. He reaches the bottom of the tree and looks up. Jaehyun grins down at him.
“I’m coming!” He shouts back, smiling and heading towards him. He arrives at the base of the tree and glances up. Jaehyun grins down at him,
"Climb Yoonie! Come to sit with me!" Yoongi nods, reaching for the branch closest to the ground and uses it to haul himself up into the tree.
He begins to climb, grasping the next branch and finding a niche in the tree's bark to secure his foot in.
He's lifting himself higher into the tree when it all goes wrong. The birds cease to chirp, and the wind picks up. Yoongi wraps his arms around the trunk of the tree to avoid tumbling out of the tree. He hears a loud crack from above and a scream of terror.
“Yoonie!” Jaehyun shrieks. “Help me! I’m falling!” Yoongi’s head snaps towards him and gasps, his heart thudding in his chest.
The branch where Jaehyun was previously seated has broken off and fallen into a pitch-black abyss that has now encircled the ash tree. Jaehyun clings to where the branch has broken off. Yoongi sees where the wood is cutting into his hands, the panic in his colorless face.
“Yoongi help!” Jaehyun cries. “Yoongi!”

Jimin sighed, his day started well enough, Taehyung had woken him up at a reasonable time for a change and they had gone to get coffee together.
He smiled fondly at the thought of his best friend. Taehyung was quite a character. He made a living as an artist. His many talents ranged from painting to chinchilla training.
~~~
After coffee they’d headed home, only to be stopped by some women,
“Honestly, do the gays these days always have to dress like sluts?” One of them commented loudly gesturing at Jimin’s jeans that might have been a little too ripped up and Taehyung’s crop top.
“Sorry ladies,” Taehyung interrupted, “It’s not our fault we can pull off these outfits and you guys can’t.” He shrugged nonchalantly.
“Excuse me!” The other one gasped, her face red in humiliation.
“Fucking whores.” The first woman hissed. Jimin froze, Taehyung lashed out and grabbed her by the shoulder.
“Listen, lady,” He started, his tone deathly calm, the woman shrunk away from him and her friend inched backward, Jimin can sense their anger morphing into fear, “I don’t know, or care who you are. But you’ve got no right to interrupt our morning with your stupid homophobic comments.” He spat at her, glancing towards Jimin.
“Tae let's just go home.” Jimin grabbed his friend’s hand, pulling it off the lady’s shoulder.
They leave the two women standing there, and Jimin can feel their shock and annoyance.
“Hey Chim?” Taehyung tapped him on the shoulder, jerking him out of his thoughts.
“Yeah?”
“We’re passing that shop again,” Taehyung muttered, looking away. Jimin can sense he’s upset.
“Tae, why are you mad?” He asked slowly, scanning his friend’s face. Taehyung turned back towards him.
“I…I thought you were mad at me.” Taehyung grinned.
“Why would I be mad at you?” Jimin giggled, pulling Taehyung into a hug. He felt his friend’s sadness dissipate.
Taehyung abruptly shifted into a golden retriever puppy. Jimin laughed and let out a fake gasp of outrage as he circled around Jimin’s knees, barking joyfully. Jimin bent down and scooped him into his arms. Taehyung shifted back and Jimin’s legs buckled and he fell on his butt, Taehyung landing on his legs.
“Fuck that’s going to bruise.” Jimin winced. They struggled to get to their feet, laughing and clinging onto each other for support.
It had been a dramatic emotional change, just a minute ago they’d been quiet and melancholy. Now, Jimin was back to laughing at Taehyung’s jokes. It just how their friendship was.
“What were you saying about a shop?” Jimin asked.
“That Apothecary shop. You know the one for magical beings.” He added when Jimin looked confused.
“Oh, that one, right?” Jimin pointed across the street. “Why’d you mention it?”
“I was looking for something to say actually,” Taehyung admitted sheepishly, blushing slightly. “But I do know a friend of the owner.”
“Do I know this friend?” Jimin asked, looking at the shop again. It seems like a small shop, of course, there would be magic making it larger on the inside.
And then it hit him.
Waves of sadness, almost despair are practically radiating from the shop. Jimin can feel it from 20 feet away. Even from a distance, it’s still over twice as strong as Taehyung’s feelings from earlier.
“Kim Seokjin,” Taehyung answered, but Jimin was focused on the shop, scanning the windows, looking for well, something.
“Who’d you say owns the shop?” He asked, finally tearing his gaze away.
“Min Yoonie? Min Yoongi? Some foreign name.” Taehyung scoffed.
“Taehyung your name is…”
“Taehyung, yes that is my name.”
“Taehyung your name is a foreign name!” Jimin groaned, exasperated.
“Chim, you know I’m kidding…Why though?” Taehyung questioned, still grinning.
“It’s just…that place is basically radiating sadness.” Jimin murmured.
“So…”
“I’m worried about that Min Yoongi person.” Jimin sighed, running a hand through his hair. The shapeshifter shrugged,
“Just go check it out then.” Jimin rounded on him, incredulous,
“And break into someone’s shop? And probably also home?”
“Well yeah, just shift into a cat and climb up to that window there.” He pointed and Jimin stared.
“Why that one?” Jimin studied the window and failed to find anything special about it.
“It’s not real glass,” Taehyung explained.
“How do you know that?” Jimin muttered. Taehyung’s always had a knack for noticing things no one else did.
“Just a couple minutes ago, I saw a raven fly through the glass.” He made little air quotes on the word glass.
“I’m really not sure that’s a good idea…” Jimin trailed off, biting his lip nervously.
“Just go look, if you’re not back in ten minutes I’ll just call the cops.” Taehyung joked. Jimin slapped him playfully on the shoulder.
“Oh fine.” He agreed. Looking around to see if there’s anyone watching before slipping into his cat form.
He scurried across the street, his paws scraping against the rough gravel. He reached the front of the building he looked back at Taehyung who gave him a thumbs up and smiled.
He faced the building again. The widow was about 10 feet up. He shifted into a hummingbird, so he could fly up to the window ledge, shifting back into a cat in midair, he landed on the window ledge with a thump.
The room, he notices, was small, with staircases on either side leading up and down. And a desk and chair in the center.
He touched the glass with his paw and found that it was solid. He sat there for a moment, confused and wondering if he should go back to Taehyung.
He’s about to head back when a man who looks about his age comes down the stairs on the right. He spotted Jimin, and the empath tapped on the glass again.
This must be Min Yoongi. He thought. The first thing he notices is how pretty the man is. He has this soft fluffy hair that Jimin wants to touch and almost catlike features. Then the waves of sadness hit him, clearly emanating from the man but significantly weaker.
He must be upset about something that happened a while ago. Jimin concluded. Min Yoongi seemed to be saying something to him, but he couldn’t hear through the glass, Jimin can make out the word “ravens”.
Min Yoongi continued past the window and headed down the next flight of stairs.
What did he mean by ravens? Jimin wondered. He continued to tap the window, the sound of his claws clinking against the glass was quite satisfying. What do ravens have to do with anything...What do ravens-OH He understood. Taehyung saw a raven fly in... Maybe if I shift into one?
He took a deep breath and concentrated. A raven was not an animal that he commonly shifted into and would require more effort.
Jimin sighed, relaxing and slipping into a raven form. The shapeshifter’s arms shrank, and feathers grew, he felt he nose elongate into a beak. Jimin shifted around, settling into the unfamiliar form before tumbling through the window and into the room. He landed on his shoulder.
and headed towards the stair Min Yoongi had gone down. He peered over the edge and there was a loud crash, someone groaned. He jumped back at the sound but peeked over again.
He was looking into what seemed to be the Apothecary itself. Shelves lined the periphery of the shop, piled high with different glass jars containing an assortment of ingredients. A counter with a cash register was built into the wall opposite the door and a table, with a scale, mortar and pestle, and a glass jar of herbs was placed next to it.
Min Yoongi lay in the middle of the room, groaning and clutching his head, feathers were scattered about the room and a glass jar that had cracked in half was lying next to his head. Min Yoongi seemed to glance up to where Jimin was standing, still in cat form, at the top of the stairs. But then his head dipped to the side hit the ground, his eyes close.
“Tae!” Jimin called out, running back across the street towards the other shapeshifter. “Tae, you need to…call Jin.” He panted, doubled over.
“What? Jimin what happened?” Taehyung jumped down from where he was sitting on a wall and rushed towards him.
“The owner, he’s been hurt.” Jimin explained, still trying to catch his breath.
“Oh, ok.” Taehyung nodded, Jimin felt his concern permeating in the air.
“A jar…it fell on his head! I think he passed out!” Jimin explained, waving his hands hysterically.
“Why didn’t you help him?” Taehyung asked, taking out his phone.
“I didn’t want him to know I broke into his shop!” Jimin said frantically.
“That doesn’t even make sense!” Taehyung shook his head in confusion, dialing a number.
“I-I want him to like me if we meet in the future.” Jimin admitted, a blush rising into his cheeks.
“What! You think he’s cute?” Taehyung screamed just as someone picked up.
Yes, I am cute, but why did you call? Taehyung rolled his eyes.
“Well, um, this is about your friend that runs the apothecary shop,” Taehyung explained,
“Don’t tell him I broke in.” Jimin whispered.
And…
“We were passing by the shop and Chim here, he’s an empath by the way, sensed a lot of emotions coming from inside. We figure you might want to check on him.”
Shit. Okay, I’ll head over there now thanks for telling me.
“Of course, and we should meet up sometime, it’s been a while.”
Absolutely! I’ll text you later! There was a beep as Taehyung hung up.
“So, I mean…I guess that’s all we can do.” Jimin shrugged, still extremely worried about Min Yoongi. “I think I’ll visit him tomorrow.” He decided.
“And say what? Hey, I broke into your house yesterday and saw that you got hurt and didn’t help you but hey, are you good?” Taehyung imitated Jimin’s voice perfectly, one of the abilities he possessed as a shapeshifter.
“Oh my god Tae, shut up!”
~★~
Yoongi’s eyes snapped open. He was lying in back in his bed, heart racing and his clothes soaked in his own sweat. The side of his head throbbed. He raised a hand and gingerly touched the side of his forehead where the pain seemed to be centered. He winced as his finger brushed over a swollen lump. What the fuck had happen-Oh! He remembered that cat, and that annoying tapping sound, and the jar and,
“Jaehyun.” He whispered, sitting up. He could smell food being cooked in the kitchen in the room next door, could hear pots clinking and food frying.
He twisted out of his blankets and peeked out into the hallway. The kitchen door at the end was slightly cracked and light was flooding though.
“Jin is that you?” He called, his voice rough and scratchy from lack of use. He walked down the hallway, clinging to the walls for support.
“Yoongi? Are you up?” Jin asked as he pushed the kitchen door open. He stood in front of the stove, back to the door.
“Nope, just his evil twin.” Yoongi laughed weakly, sitting down at the table.
“I was going to use, magic to heal you but I wanted to check with you first.” Jin turned away from the food he was cooking, concern in his eyes.
“Nah, go ahead I feel like shit.” Yoongi sighed, he buried his head in his arms.
“Well I went ahead and made it, here it’ll help.” Jin set a cup down next to him. Yoongi raised his head to examine the dark purple liquid.
“It shouldn’t be that color, why is it that color?” Yoongi sat up, looking at Jin in confusion.
“It’s my own recipe, I’m testing it out,” Jin explained, looking a bit nervous.
“Why do you look so nervous you’ve tested it before right?” Yoongi asked suspiciously, squinting at Jin
“Well not exactly…” Jin trailed off. “Uh Yoongi, I’m sorry about what I said this morning, I didn’t mean to push you.”
“It’s fine...let’s hope you don’t poison me then.” Yoongi shrugged, grabbing the glass and downing in one gulp.
Immediately, his face felt warm, the wound of his forehead heated up. His vision spun and went dark.
“Yoongi?” A hand on his shoulder shook him awake. He sat up groggily, taking in his surroundings.
“I’m getting really fucking tired of passing out.” He groaned. “But at least I feel better now.”
“Y-you do?” Jin looked a bit surprised. “Wow, it actually worked!” He smiled and patted Yoongi on the shoulder, knowing he wasn’t a huge fan of physical contact.
“I can’t believe you gave me, that not knowing if it would kill me or heal me.” Yoongi laughed, shaking his head in exasperation.
“I can’t believe you actually drunk it!” Jin retorted, pouting a bit.
“So...is that food I smell?” Yoongi asked hopefully. “I’m fucking starving, didn’t eat lunch yet.”
“Yoongi.” Jin sighed. “It’s almost dinner…”
“Well I was passed out, how was I supposed to know?” Yoongi asked, reaching for the food, Jin offered to him.
The next day started out normal. Yoongi flopped out of bed, threw on a t-shirt and jeans and headed downstairs.
Right in the middle of the room, perched on a chair, staring at him was a raven.
Yoongi was confused for a moment. It wasn’t an order day, was it?
“Hey, you, it’s not even an order day.” He told the raven who stared at him blankly. “You don’t even have an order…” He trailed off, noticing the raven’s legs.
The raven tilted his head. Yoongi sighed, his shoulders slumped.
“Look can you leave? I have work to do, customers will be coming in today.” He added, flapping his arms at the raven, trying to get him to move.
The raven looked unamused. There was a certain glint in its eyes, it looked at him curiously. Almost as if it is understanding what he was saying. Yoongi paused, it wasn’t doing him any harm.
“Fine...just don’t bother me like that dumb cat yesterday.” The raven looked almost offended at this statement and Yoongi briefly wondered if it knew the can before brushing off the idea. It was just an ordinary raven, probably just lost...right?
He continued downstairs into the shop, brushing past his desk a crossing to the door to flip the sign hanging on the handle from closed to open. As if on command to figures appear right in front of the shop. Yoongi steps back so they can properly open the door without hitting him.
Hoseok steps into his stop first, his smile illuminating the entire room. Literally, since the wings on his back glow brighter and more he smiles.
Jungkook, his boyfriend follows him. Jungkook’s wings don’t have the same sort of glow that Hoseok’s do, but they shine faintly.
They hold their flower pots in both hands as they always do and as the door swings shut, Jungkook shifts his violet colored hyacinth over to one hand, wrapping the other around his boyfriend’s waist.
“Morning!” Hoseok beamed at Yoongi, leaning closer into Jungkook and placing a kiss on his cheek. Yoongi scoffed,
“Fucking fairies have to come into my shop and make out in front of me.” He sighed dramatically, plopping down in the chair by his desk.
“We haven’t done anything! This is discrimination!” Hoseok shrieked at the same time Jungkook smirked and said.
“Well, if you’d like to see more…”
“I swear to god, you brat.” Yoongi flicked a pencil at the earth fairy, hitting him in the nose. “And you.” He pointed to Hoseok, “I was kidding!” He said exasperatedly as Jungkook rubbed at his nose.
“That hurt.” He whined.
“You deserved it.” Yoongi said, getting up and grabbing two bottles of the shelf behind him. “Here you go.” He crossed over too the counter and placed them on top.
“Is it the usual price?” Jungkook has left go of Hoseok now and is pulling coins out of his pockets. He hands his flower to the other fairy and Hoseok holds it alongside his sunflower.
“Yep.” Yoongi nodded. Jungkook rummages around in his pockets a little while longer before placing some coins next to the two flasks.
“So, how’s life?” Hoseok asked, leaning on the counter and placing the pots on top.
“Fine,” Yoongi answered briskly.
“Have you-” Hoseok screamed and leaped back, crashing into Jungkook as a raven flew down the stairwell and landed in front of him.
“Oh hi.” Yoongi nodded at the raven who stared curiously at the fairies.
“Why is there a raven?” Hoseok asked, peeling himself away from Jungkook.
“It’s kind of cute.” Jungkook murmured.
The raven looked indignant and shot a glare in Jungkook’s direction.
“Did it just glare at me?” Jungkook asked, looking offended.
“Even the bird thinks you’re annoying.” Yoongi chuckled. Jungkook huffed. Hoseok patted him on the shoulder.
“Don’t worry, I still love you.” He grinned, pulling him into a hug. The raven looked at Yoongi as if to say, Aren’t they so cute. Yoongi smiled a bit as he handed Jungkook his changed as passed him the flasks.
“Did you want something for those too?” He asked pointing towards the flowers.
“Uh, sure.” Hoseok nodded, he stroked Jungkook’s hyacinth tenderly as if it was a pet. “Like some kind of fertilizer?”
“Yeah, sure I can grab something from the back.” Yoongi turned away and ducked into the pantry in the wall behind him.
He quickly found a bottle of green substance marked “Plant Care” amongst the jars filling the shelves and returned to the main room of the shop.
Hoseok was now chatting animatedly with the raven, still perched on the counter and Jungkook was examining the charms hanging on the wall by the entrance. Yoongi cleared his throat the both of their heads snapped towards him.
“Here.” Yoongi offered the bottle to Hoseok who thanked him reached into his pockets for money.
“How much?” He asked.
“Oh, just have it, I don’t think anyone was going to purchase it anyways.” Yoongi said, waving a hand dismissively. Hoseok smiled appreciatively.
“Thanks, Yoongi!” Hoseok smiled appreciatively.
“Well, we should get going.” Jungkook called from his spot by the door. Hoseok nodded in agreement, tucking the bottles into his coat and picking up the two flowers.
“Your bird is fun to talk to! It’s almost like he’s human!” The fairy called over his shoulder as he exited the shop after Jungkook.
“See you around,” Yoongi shouted after them, Hoseok’s words ringing in his head. It’s almost like he’s human. He eyed the raven suspiciously.
“You aren’t a bird, are you?” He whispered as if telling a secret.
The raven sat there for a few moments before shaking its head slowly.
Yoongi leaned forward to get a better look at it and let out a gasp as the raven began to twitch and change.
Its feathers disappeared and were replaced with cream colored and.
Yoongi waited as its wings morphed to paws.
It was the same cat who had been bothering him the day before. Yoongi shook his head in disbelief.
“But you’re not a cat either, you’ve got to be a shapeshifter.” He realized.
The cat let out a mewl and leaped off the counter, Yoongi ran around the side to get a better look but instead of a cat, a young man dressed in a white t-shirt and jeans, and orange hair that he somehow managed to pull off. The boy sat crossed legged beneath the counter, his wide eyes filled with guilt.
Shit, he’s cute. Yoongi realized.
“I’m really sorry!” The boy said frantically, scrabbling to his feet and almost hitting his head on the counter. “Please don’t be mad.”
“Who said I was mad.” Yoongi asked, slightly amused. He leaned on the counter. “I hope you don’t mind me asking your name though.”
“O-oh not at all. I’m Jimin! Err, Park Jimin.” Jimin smiled nervously, running a hand through his head.
“Cute.” Yoongi murmured. Thankfully, Jimin didn’t seem to notice his comment. “So uh, I guess you can explain why you broke into my shop twice…” He laughed nervously. Why am I nervous? He thought frantically, He’s the one that broke in!
“Well, I was passing your shop.” The shapeshifter fingered the hem of his shirt nervously and Yoongi noticed how cute and tiny his fingers were. “And it felt like you were in trouble.” He continued.
“What do you mean felt?” Yoongi asked curiously.
“Well you see, I’m an empath,” Jimin explained, looking down at the floor. “I-I felt that you were in pain.”
“But you were here before I got hurt,” Yoongi said, still confused.
“I could sense your sadness,” Jimin whispered. “I-I wanted to see you were okay…”
“Oh…” Yoongi nodded. “I-I’m fine.” He stammered.
“Yoongi, I know that’s not the truth.” Jimin rolled his eyes.
“Wait…how do you know my name?” Yoongi asked suspiciously.
“M-my friend Taehyung knows a friend of yours. K-Kim Seokjin? After I told him you were hurt, he called him and advised him to check up on you.” Jimin explained, still fixated on the floor.
“Oh.” It made sense now, why Jin had just happened to be there when Yoongi was hurt, even though they’d just had a fight.
“L-look I’m really sorry. I make it up to you somehow?” Jimin asked nervously, biting his lip. He looked up for the first time and Yoongi noticed how pretty his eyes were.
“How?” Yoongi narrowed his eyes.
“I was thinking…maybe I could help you around the shop?” Jimin suggested shyly.
“Help me around the shop…” Yoongi considered this. He had never had a problem working alone but maybe he could get Jimin to handle all the social interactions, besides, there was no way Yoongi was going to say no to having a cute guy around every day. “Okay.” He nodded.
“Really?” Jimin face lit up. “Can I start right now?”
“Don’t act so excited.” Yoongi sighed. “It’s dull job.”
“I’m sure it’s not! I’ll get to see you do magic!” Jimin said excitedly. Yoongi froze. “What’s wrong?” Oh, right he can sense how I’m feeling. Yoongi sighed internally.
“Uh, Jimin…the thing is, I don’t use magic,” Yoongi admitted. Jimin looked at him, his brows furrowed in confusion.
“Why not?”
“I’d rather not talk about it,” Yoongi whispered, hoping Jimin would understand.
“That’s okay!” Suddenly Jimin was back into his cheerful, bubbly self. “So, what do I need to know to work here?”
~☀~
“Hey, could you reach that for me?” Jimin called over his shoulder to Yoongi. The witch sighed.
“I’m only a couple centimeters taller, why would I be able to reach it if you can’t?” He complained, looking us from his desk where he was measuring out ingredients and pouring them into various bottles.
“Please try, it’s pretty and I want it!” Jimin pouted, pointing up to an intricately carved charm hanging by the door.
“Get a fucking step.” Yoongi groaned.
“Fine!” Jimin stomped into the pantry to look. He grabbed a stool and his eyes fell on his watch. Shit, Taehyung was probably expecting him home by now. He rushed back into the main room of the shop and used the stool to grab the charm.
He set it on the counter.
“Can I get this?” Jimin asked. Yoongi looked up.
“Sure, go ahead.” He shrugged. Jimin waited but the witch didn’t move.
“So, uh, are you going to ring me up?” Jimin asked impatiently, checking his watch again.
“No, you can have it.” Yoongi looked surprised. “Consider it payment for working here or whatever.”
“But I’m the one paying you back by working here. You don’t owe me anything.” Jimin wasn’t quite sure why he is arguing.
“Well then, just think about it as a gift from me.” Yoongi flashed a gummy smile at him and Jimin felt he heart rate speed up. A blush rose into his cheeks.
“Thanks…” He murmured, turning away before Yoongi could notice. “I’m going to head out now.”
“And he just gave it to you? He totally likes you! Ask him out Chim!” Taehyung said excitedly, almost knocking his plate of food of the table.
“No way! What if he says no! I’ll have to still work with him!” Jimin exclaimed, sending his friend a scandalized look. “I could never.”
“Come on Chim! I believe in you!”
“Okay Tae…I’ll ask him if he wants to get coffee tomorrow.”
“Jimin.” Yoongi nodded right as Jimin walked in the door.
“Oh hi.” Jimin greeted him, noticing he was already working. “I thought I was early…”
“Oh, you are don’t worry.” The witch assured him. “I was just getting ahead on orders so maybe we could uh…” He trailed off, probably distracted by his work.
“Yeah?”
“Oh…would you want to maybe, get some coffee together…” He looked up, his cheeks were flushed, and embarrassment radiated off him.
“I-” Jimin began.
“Never mind. It’s stupid, let’s just work.” Yoongi sighed.
“No!” Jimin said quickly. Surprise flashed across Yoongi’s face. “No, I’d love to.”
“Really?” Yoongi asked.
“Yeah…Let’s get coffee together.”
“Okay.” Yoongi stood up, grabbing his leather jacket off the back of the chair.
And they walked, hand and hand into a new life together…
