“Take it off!” Jimin seethes, jabbing at Jungkook's infuriatingly solid chest.
“All you had to do was ask, princess,” Jungkook smirks, unclasping a strap on his ridiculous overalls.
Jimin wants to throttle him. He came to this Halloween party in hopes of getting laid after a two month dry spell. He's been so busy since the semester started, hardly having any time to go out. Tonight was the night he was finally going to have some fun and perhaps get some dick. He knows he looks pretty in his Princess Peach costume. He'd been nervous at first, but his friends had cheered him on, reassuring him that he looked good in the pretty pink dress and golden crown. He had been so excited for tonight… Until he caught sight of his mortal enemy, Jeon Jungkook in a bright red cap.
He dragged Jungkook into a bathroom of the house party before anyone could see them together.
“Shut up, Jungkook. Why are you wearing that?”
“This?” he looks down at his costume, feigning innocence. “I like Mario.”
Jimin frowns. “So it had nothing to do with the fact that I was dressing up as Princess Peach?”
“Not at all.” The smug little smile on his face says otherwise.
Jeon Jungkook is a little shit. He always gets under Jimin's skin, going out of his was to inconvenience him. They also have the same group of friends, so he probably found out from one of their treacherous friends what Jimin would be wearing tonight.
“Everyone is going to think we're a couple.”
“Are we not?”
“No!”
“But didn't we go on a coffee date last Friday?”
“You mean that morning we ran into each other at Starbucks?”
Jungkook nods enthusiastically. “You sat with me while we waited for our drinks.”
“It was the only open seat.”
“You could have stood like everybody else.”
“I was tired,” Jimin lies. “It wasn't a date.”
Jungkook let's out a dramatic sigh. “How unfortunate. I'd be lucky to have a boyfriend as beautiful as you.”
Jimin’s face burns. “Shut up!” Jungkook is saying that to rile him up like he always does.
“I'm serious! You look really pretty in a crown, hyung.”
Jimin hates how flustered Jungkook makes him. He always knows exactly what to say to make Jimin’s whole body heat up.
Jungkook laughs, plopping down on the closed toilet seat. “Jimin, everyone already thinks we'd make a cute couple. Even our friends.”
Jimin wants to deny it but he knows it’s true. For some reason all their friends support their non-existent relationship. Taehyung is always sneakily taking pictures of them and posting them on his instagram with ridiculous captions like: ‘look at how they’re looking at each other!!! <3’ That’s one of the reasons so many people think they’re together. This is also why it’s so hard for Jimin to flirt with people who know them. They always look at him strangely, asking if he broke up with Jungkook.
“I don't blame them,” Jungkook continues. “We do make a cute couple.”
“We are not a couple.”
Jungkook juts out his lip and Jimin can't even deny how cute the pout looks on his face. Although the wonky mustache drawn on his upper lip made his whole expression a bit comical.
“Then why are we wearing matching costumes?”
Never mind. Nothing about Jeon Jungkook is cute. He's just a pain in the ass. “I'm leaving,” he announces, turning to go. “Hopefully, I can still get laid.”
“Wait,” a hand wraps around his wrist.
Jimin swivels around, ready to snap at Jungkook but the words die in his throat when his eyes land on Jungkook's face. His eyes are a little panicked, like doesn't want Jimin to leave. “Stay for a while, hyung?”
“Why?”
“I don't know…” For the first time, the cocky, playboy Jeon Jungkook looks almost… shy. “Lets just talk for awhile.”
His voice sounds so open and sincere. There is no way Jimin could say no. He studies him for a few seconds in wonder. “Okay,” he says, leaning back against the wall, crossing his arms. “Let’s talk.” Jimin isn't quite sure what’s keeping him from walking out the door but he stays.
Jungkook looks startled by his quick concession. “Oh. Okay. Uh. What do you want to talk about?”
Jimin raises a brow. “You're the one that wanted to talk.” Jimin feels a small spark of victory as the cocky Jeon Jungkook, blushes.
“What shows do you like?”
Jimin laughs. “That’s the best you’ve got?”
“You're making me nervous!”
Jimin smiles, pleased with himself. “I don't watch many shows, but I do watch some anime on occasion.”
“Oh? I love a weeb. What are your favorites?”
It’s Jimin’s turn to blush. “Naruto, One Piece, those types.”
Jungkook snorts. “I knew you had to have some flaws. Nobody can be that perfect.”
Jimin gasps. “What do you mean?”
“Your taste in anime is shit.”
Jimin has never been more insulted. Naruto and One Piece paved the way for other anime. “That's hilarious coming from someone who has a horrible taste in music. Charlie Puth and Justin Bieber? Really?”
Jungkook’s face lights up and a familiar smug smile spreads across his face. “You know what type of music I like? That’s very boyfriend of you.”
Jimin bites his lip, holding back a smile. Jungkook got him there. “Since you're an anime connoisseur, why don't you tell me what anime are good.”
“Intellectuals read the manga.”
Jimin laughs. “I hate you.”
They go back and forth for a while with their usual banter. Jimin makes himself comfortable on the toilet lid after Jungkook offered him the seat. “A princess deserves a throne,” he had joked.
Jimin forgets the party outside. He forgets all about his original intentions for the night. He forgets all about his exams and stress. At that moment, nothing seems more appealing than chatting with Jungkook in a college party bathroom. Despite everything, conversations with Jungkook always come so easily. Jimin finds himself laughing more than he has in months.
“I just think the anime ruined Tokyo Ghoul,” Jungkook concludes after a lengthy debate.
“The anime was enjoyable,” Jimin counters. “You're just a manga elitist. Can't reason with your type.”
Jungkook grins and Jimin’s heart skips a few beats. Has Jungkook always been this endearing? Has his face always been this cute? Have his cheeks always crinkled adorably when he smiles? Jimin finds himself rethinking everything.
“I have a dick,” Jungkook announces after the conversation lulls.
Jimin chokes. “What?”
“You said you were trying to get laid tonight. Well, I happen to have a dick.”
Jimin is lost.
“I've been told it's a pretty decent dick,” Jungkook continues, nervously. “I'm sure it will get the job done.”
“What job?” Jimin asks dumbly, trying to figure out what was going on.
Jungkook exhales dramatically. “Oh my, God, Jimin. I want to fuck you! Please let me fuck you… and like, hold your hand and shit. And maybe take you on dates too. I don't know!”
Jimin’s brain begins piecing things together. “You like me?”
Jungkook’s mouth falls open. “Are you serious? Don’t I make it obvious? I’m always flirting with you!”
Jimin blinks, thinking of all his encounters with him up until that point. Jeon Jungkook is known around their university for being the biggest playboy on campus. He is rumored to be able to score any person he set his eyes on. The thing is, Jimin had thought Jungkook was your typical straight boy and for this reason, he never looked too deeply into his behavior towards him. “I thought… You were trying to mess with me.”
Jungkook shakes his head in disbelief. “Why would I do that?”
“For fun?”
Jungkook covers his face.
Jimin takes a second to collect his thoughts. Jungkook likes him. Jungkook wants to go on a date with him. And fuck him. His heart races at the very thought. He glances up at Jungkook, appreciating his toned body. He definitely wouldn't mind him dicking him down. He also wouldn't mind going on a date with him either, Jimin realizes.
Despite all the talk, he genuinely enjoys Jungkook’s company. He might be a cocky little shit but even that is endearing sometimes. Jungkook is funny and sweet and has never done or said anything that hurt or insulted Jimin. All his jibes were harmless and more playful than anything else.
“Either I've been clueless, or you're horrible at flirting.”
Jungkook laughs, looking exasperated. “Maybe a little bit of both, hyung.”
“And maybe I’ve been a bit stupid,” Jimin admits.
“Yeah?”
He nods. “You said you have a pretty decent dick,” Jimin finally says. “Are you willing to put it to the test?”
“My dick is all yours, but,” Jungkook holds up a finger, “only after the third date.”
A date. With Jeon Jungkook? Jimin feels his heart soar. “Okay. Take me on a date.”
Jungkook’s eyes shine. “Really?”
Jimin nods, feeling his heart erupt in his chest at Jungkook's eagerness. How has he missed this? “I’d love to go on a date with you. There is actually a sushi place down the street I’ve been wanting to try.”
"Let's-a go!" Jungkook cheers, reaching for Jimin’s hand.
“Don’t do that!” he almost topples over at how hard he laughs but Jungkook keeps him upright.
“Oh. You don’t like roleplay? Noted.”
Jimin let's Jungkook take his hand, belly fluttering at how gently he holds it. “Feel free to call me ‘Princess Jimin’ but I’m not calling you Mario.”
Jungkook smiles. “Let’s go, princess.”
