Chapter Text
Bakugou screamed as he slammed his palm into the face of the villain, activating his quirk on contact.
The villain screamed and grabbed his blistering face and stumbled backwards. Half of his mask was melted away revealing a strange yellow eye that blinked rapidly, trying to relieve itself of the ash that had gotten inside it.
Bakugou quickly rushed forward and swept his leg under the villain's, knocking off his feet.
Dazed, the man tried to get back up, but Bakugou was faster. He sprinted over and grabbed the front of the strange villain costume and punched he criminal straight in the face.
Bakugou smirked as he went limp and his strange yellow eye rolled back into his skull.
Bakugou stood up quickly and let the man drop to the floor.
He swiveled around and scanned the part of the simulation city that he could see.
He saw shitty hair maybe 500 feet away having a battle of his own. The villain seemed to have a quirk that allowed them to stretch limbs.
Bakugou had seen her on the news for multiple robberies, wasn’t her villain name Elastrix?
The fact that a known villain was here kind of worried Bakugou, but Kirishima seemed to be holding his own quite well.
Bakugou started to run over to help as he watched he villain slam Kirishima into the side of the faux building.
Bakugou started to sprint faster at that, pumping his arms to gain more momentum.
Just before he reached the stretch villain, he jumped on an upturned piece of the road and slammed his whole body into the unsuspecting villain.
They both went down, but the stretch freak cushioned Bakugou’s fall as he landed on top of her.
Just as he was about to push his way up with the help of a nice explosion, the stretch lady wrapped one of her legs around his ankle. It twirled around again and again until it looked like a spring wound really tightly, successfully anchoring Bakugou in place.
Bakugou yelled a string of profanities in the face of the woman and tried to untangle his hands from under her torso when he felt a large solid object hit him on the back of his head.
Bakugou's head swam, and the edges of his vision started to get dark and blurry.
‘Crazy f*cker, what the hell was that?’ He thought.
Bakugou craned his neck to see what had slammed into him, just in time to see that the stretch quirk villain had used her elongated arm to grab a stop sign that must’ve been knocked over in all the chaos.
And just because Bakugou could see the incoming threat, it didn’t mean he could stop it.
Bakugou grunted loudly as the stop sign flew towards his face and hit him on the side of his head.
He kept his head down for a moment, and tasted blood in his mouth which he coughed out messily before being re-acquainted with the stop sign.
Before he knew it Bakugou was being beaten with the stop sign over and over. He tried to lift his arms to cover his neck and head, but his position didn’t allow him to.
The villain was obviously trying to get him to pass out, and at this rate it was only a matter of seconds before he did.
Just then the beating stopped.
Bakugou squinted upwards to see that Kirishima wrestling the stop sign from the villian. Kirishima was using his foot to pry the post from the villains grasp.
When he finally got it free, he grabbed the ankle that wasn’t trapping Bakugou, and wrapped the base of the sign around it, trapping Elastrix under the bent metal.
Seeing this as an opportunity, Bakugou leaned backwards, and then violently smashed his scull against Elastrix’s effectively knocking her out.
Bakugou grimaced and pushed himself up. Maybe smashing his head against a solid object after being beaten with a stop sign wasn’t his best idea ever.
He stood up, and begrudgeingly thanked Kirishima, leaving the unconscious woman on the ground and looked at the wreckage all around him.
Broken windows left glass all over the ground, and the ground wasn’t fairing much better.
Fires from battles and explosions were littered here and there, flickering non threateningly.
The fake city was in ruin.
It was the same city used for the entrance exam for UA.
But the villains were not fake.
The league of villains decided that the best way to remove the threat of heroes, was to make sure the future heroes never made it to become professionals.
The best way to do that would be to attack the best school for future heroes.
Now 9/10 times villians wouldn’t be stupid enough to attack a school where professional heroes taught. But sometimes quantity can override quality.
About 3 dozen villains planned the attack. Both major and minor villains joined on meaning that the classes only knew the quirks of a few.
When the schools border was first breached, they tried to evacuate all the students, but they quickly found out that they were after class 1-A specifically.
To allow the rest of the students time to evacuate the school, the staff took the class to the training city to minimize damage. They knew the class could handle themselves, at least until he second half of villains joined the first.
Then it just became chaos.
Bakugou looked around to see Aizawa fighting off two separate villians at the same time, and Ms. Midnight was right across from him fighting her own bad guy while simultaneously trying to help Aizawa with his.
And then there was All Might who was fight a good 6th of them.
They all surrounded him hoping to get in a blow, but the number one hero wouldn’t be taken down that easily.
He moved his leg in a swinging motion and wiped out two of them and turned to punch a third in the face.
Bakugou surveyed the city looking for anyone who still needed help.
Many of the opposers lay on the ground, either unconscious or trapped
He heard Mina shout just a couple blocks away, but it seemed to be a shout of triumph, so he decided not to bother with it.
Instead he ran on the broken sidewalks to the northern side of the complex.
Dust in the air made it hard to breathe, and the smoke ensured that Bakugou had to hold his breath at times.
He stopped at a section of street where he saw Sero and Uraraka working together to tape terrified looking villians to floating benches and mailboxes.
Bakugou snickered a bit at that.
He ran down a street and crossed paths with Momo who was using a straight jacket to immobilize an enemy. They locked eyes and nodded slightly to one another before parting ways.
Suddenly as he was about to turn past a fountain that was broken and still spurting water out of broken pipes, he heard yells from somewhere above him.
Squinting into the sun, Bakugou scanner the rooftops. His eyes finally landed on a figure on the roof of a nearby building in an intense battle.
Upon closer Inspection, he realized that it was Deku who was fighting on the building.
‘How the hell did he manage to take the fight all the way up there?’ Bakugou thought.
He watched as Deku yelled in determination, and swung his leg around to catch the masked villian he was fighting in the side.
Deku’s limbs crackled with green electricity from One For All.
There were a few rips in his uniform, and he was bleeding from a cut on the side of his face.
Physically he looked awful, but you could just see the determination and energy radiate off of him as he dodged and fought his enemy.
He took steps forward and backward, fighting as if he was dancing.
Bakugou looked around him, and saw a series of metal staircases winding up the outside of a building.
‘I guess if Deku is too useless to f*cking save himself then I’ll have to f*cking do it for him.’
Bakugou bounded toward it and began pulling himself up using the actual stairs and the handrail to move him up faster.
The iron creaked under him due to old age, but Bakugou forced himself to pay attention to the fight he was quickly approaching.
Bakugou watched as Deku dodged a side cut and jumped over a sweeping kick. He then made his own offensive maneuver and mat the villian with a knee to the groin.
Bakugou winced a bit with pity for the man.
Bakugou had almost made it to the top of the building next to the one Deku was fighting on when he saw that he wasn’t the only one with the idea of joining the sky high battle.
A strange looking male emerged from a door on the same roof that Deku was on.
Since Deku was facing away from him, he didn’t realize that there were now two people to be looking out for.
Bakugou was determined to reach them before the second man reached them. He started skipping 4 stairs at a time, bounding up faster.
After a couple seconds it became apparent that he wouldn’t reach them in time.
The new man, who was now more visible to Bakugou, wasn’t even wearing a costume. He was just in a black hoodie and jeans. A black bandana converted the bottom park of his face, but Bakugou could still tell he was smirking.
He just hooked like a kid you would see walking down the street, minus the bandana. not to mention, he looked incredibly young to be into Villainy, Maybe 16 or 17 years old.
He seemed to be very caution as not to make any noise as he walked across the roof, getting closer and closer to Deku.
Bakugou could see that Deku would be attacked from behind if he didn’t do something, so he simply did what he does best.
Bakugou yelled really really loudly.
“DEKU, WATCH OUT BEHIND YOU!” He bellowed cupping his hands to his mouth to amplify the sound.
Deku swept his foot under the man he was currently fighting and knocked him over. Then he whirled around to see both what was behind him, and also where the sound came from.
Deku’s eyes locked onto the kid behind him, but before he could react, the black hoodied villain lunged forward with a glowing hand.
Bakugou could do nothing but watch at the villain grabbed Deku by the arm, making skin contact due to one of the rips in his sleeve.
Deku’s eyes widened in both surprise and pain. He made eye contact with Bakugou before his eyes rolled backwards, his knees buckled, and he fell at the feet of the unknown villain.
Bakugou just stared in shock for a second, watching as the villain knelt by the body of Deku and seemed to just be watching him.
Then he snapped back to reality.
“YOU’RE GONNA PAY FOR THAT YOU LITTLE SHIT!” He yelled and made it to the top of his building in record time.
Using his quirk, he made blasts to make it across the rooftops to reach the building that the fight had been taking place on.
The villian just sat there watching Bakugou come, which pissed him off even more.
Bakugou finally cleared the last building in his way as he yelled while coming down on the villain from a higher vantage point.
There was no way the f*cker could escape him now!
But then the teen looked up at Bakugou and just vanished.
Bakugou landed in thin air, hands still blazing, but with nothing to hit.
He swiveled around, looking for the escapee, by he was nowhere to be found.
Giving up on the search, but not letting his guard down, Bakugou turned to where Deku lay.
He seemed to be… flickering?
He would flicker in and out of sight, replaced with static.
Slightly worried, Bakugou kneeled by him and put a hand on his forehead.
It was too cold to be alive.
Panicked, Bakugou felt on Dekus neck. Here was a pulse. Deku seemed to be breathing, so that was a good sign.
Not even 5 minutes later All Might showed up on the roof, crashing down with a worried expression as he looked at his protegé.
“Young Bakugou, What has happened here?” All Might said, his normal bravo slipping from his voice if only for a moment.
“This stupid f*cker with a random quirk got to him first” Bakugou said, standing up from where he had been kneeling next to Deku before. He was careful to keep the waver out of his voice, even if he was unsure why it was there.
“I’ll get Midoriya down to Recovery Girl. Are you too injured to find your way back?”
Bakugou only shook his head and lowered it further as he watched the number one hero gather Deku into his arms, with a gentleness a man that size should not be capable of, and go bounding off in the direction of the main school building.
Bakugou watched them until he could no longer see All Mights silhouette leaping from building to building.
And then he started his own journey back.
