He was laying his head on your lap, watching up at you with those chocolate eyes you’d always loved. Your fingers were entangled in his soft brown locks and he eventually shut his eyes, relishing in that same sense of comfort and relaxation that he would always give to you. You wished you two had more time to spend like this- but alas, he was an idol and you were only a mere Instagram artist.
You didn’t have that much time to spend together, but whenever BigHit gave Taehyung and the rest of the boys a break, Tae would always zoom to you as fast as he could, to melt in your embrace and pepper your face in endless kisses. He would bring you presents from his tours- always picking up some kind of souvenir from wherever he went so that you could feel like you went there too. You had told him before that he didn’t need to go out of his way to buy you stuff from every single place he visited but he insisted, because everything he buys makes him think of you. You knew you could never fight him on this- his heart was too pure. Too full of love. He was much like you- with too much love to give and too little time to support it. You would always make it work with him though, and BigHit making him and the boys work a lot would never stop him from loving you and letting it be known how much he loves you.
No matter what, though, you’d always have those days where you two could stay under the warm blankets and giggle about things that happened in your everyday lives. Every day, you called each other to remind each other of your voices. Every day, you’d make it known how much you loved each other. Every day, you loved him more and more. You couldn’t believe how lucky you had gotten to have a man as amazing and lovable as he. And the man, now asleep on your lap, had the same feelings for you too, despite you constantly feeling like you were unworthy of the affection he was so willing to provide.
You glanced down at his sleeping form and you refused to fight back the smile tugging at your lips. The light lofi hip hop playing in the back made the moment even more memorable as you moved some of his hair away from his forehead and leaned down to press a kiss against his skin. Regardless of the contact, the man still slept, as relaxed as one can be. You leaned back against the headboard of your bed and shut your eyes with that same smile.
“How could I have been so lucky?”
