Work Text:
Speeding through the streets of London, I wonder how I got in this situation, police after me, all because I took one step too far into a restricted area. I look back at the police cars trying to catch up to me and laugh, before turning my head back to focus on not crashing. I calculate the possibility of me getting caught if I go down an alleyway and the answer is 0%, I take the chance and scoot down the small road and onto the other side. I hear the sirens get further away as I continue my escape, knowing that once I get off this road they won't be able to find me. Eventually when I am far enough away that the cops won't find me, I take my helmet off and let my long brown hair down, slowing my breathing down from the adrenaline rush I just had.
All is calm until a voice from behind me speaks up.
"Thought you could get away from us this time Miss White?" The voice is sinister and rough, sending chills down my spine.
"I don't think, I know," I reply, looking back at the man standing there, gun pointed at me.
"Why do you know?" The man asks.
Stalling, best skill I have.
"You really haven't realised?" The man shakes his head in a negative response and I chuckle.
"Nice try Mr Holmes, but try better next time, also don't let your detective brother near me next time, maybe that will help," I say smirking.
I start my bike, revving the engine as a recognisable yet unfamiliar sound juts out of nowhere and the creaking of opening doors can be heard. I look directly ahead, seeing a blue police box, its doors wide open for me to ride into, which I gratefully do while flipping the bird to my roommate's brother. The doors close behind me and I see a face I haven't seen in a very long time.
"Hello Doctor," I say softly, taking my helmet off and putting it on my bike which is now parked across the entrance of the machine.
"Hello Alexandra," The Doctor says plainly.
"Don't sound so annoyed, what did I do?" I question.
"Well your roommate decided I would be the best person to save you from breaking the law, which I do not approve of," The Doctor says as I lean on the large central console.
"Oh for christs sake, lay off would ya? I get enough shit from Mrs Hudson about being the 'bad girl in leather' don't need another adult telling me what I can't do," I retaliate without thinking.
"I am dropping you off back at home right away, because this attitude is not tolerable," The Doctor says in a frenzy.
"fine."
The Doctor glares at me from his position at a couple of buttons, before sighing and turning off the engine.
"There, home, now go, I don't wanna see you again," The Doctor says.
"Oh come on, sure you do, look at you, all annoyed and possibly flustered, all over dropping me home like its some shameful thing to do, believe me, you wanna see me again, it's written all over your damn face," I whisper in the Doctor's ear as he shivers.
I leave the machine, leaving the Doctor with what I said as I enter my apartment where there are books and papers all over the floor and tables.
"sherlock..." I whisper to myself. I sigh and go straight to my room where my roommate is sitting on my bed, waiting.
"What are you doing in here?" I question harshly.
"Waiting, for you," Sherlock answers blandly.
"Why, what do you want with me?"
"That is the question my dear," Sherlock says creepily.
I shake off the feeling I have and take my jacket off, revealing the tattoos down my arms that all have a meaning. I fall onto my bed, unsure whether to be glad or sad that the Doctor was angry with me. Maybe I really am the bad girl in leather, I like the title though so I'm not mad.
"Alexandra White!" Mrs Hudson says as she storms into my room, where I am lying in the centre of my bed, hands crossed over my stomach and head resting on my pillow.
"Yes Mrs Hudson? How may I help?" I ask sweetly.
"You tracked mud through the house! You know what that means..." Mrs Hudson threatens.
"I'm sorry Mrs Hudson, I promise to never do it again," I beg.
"You said that last time, now get on with it," Mrs Hudson says in her sweet voice while I get up from my position and search my closet.
To get me to stop trailing mud through the flat, I get forced to clean it up in the weirdest outfits ever, today's outfit is a tight black dress with a french maid's white accessories and little heels. Mrs Hudson knows I hate wearing feminine things so she got Sherlock to get me clothes I'd hate so that I could clean in them. I groan and wander into the lounge with the mop and bucket and I just stare at Sherlock, daggers in my eye.
"Really Sherlock? Really?" I question. Sherlock looks me up and down once before returning to his work.
"You look good though," Sherlock teases.
"UGH!"
•••••••
"List all the things you've done that get you in trouble with the law would ya?" Sherlock asks me randomly.
As I start listing off the crimes I've almost committed but get accused for, Sherlock writes them down and sends them to someone.
"Sherlock I don't trust you."
"Just wait."
Knock Knock
I look at Sherlock with a raised eyebrow as I answer the door, there stands a man in a tweed jacket and a bowtie.
"Ugh you have tattoos of course, either way you're coming with me," The man says as he drags me to his police box.
"Doctor what do you want with me this time?" I ask. The Doctor hands me the letter Sherlock wrote.
Doctor, slight problem, I need you to keep Alexandra out of trouble, I know you like her anyway, but here are her 'crimes' to persuade you.
- Almost setting fire to a building, only a room was lit.
- Theft, kinda, she didn't actually steal anything but looked like she was.
- Trespassing, area 51
- Trespassing, Tower of london
- Trespassing, Buckingham Palace
- Trespassing, basically every important government official place you can think of
- Accusation of murder (this was me but put the blame on her)
- underage drinking
- underage driving (she's well above legal age now, 25)
- speeding
- purposeful crash
- car theft (once again me but put the blame on her)
and finally;
- thief of people's hearts for some strange reason.
love, Sherlock
(Hi Alexandra)
"That bastard," I whisper as the Doctor agrees and we take off.
"So you're taking me with you on your adventures to stop me from getting into trouble?"
"Basically, now, GERONIMO!"
