“Hey, Shinsou! Where you BEEN, man?! You look like SHIT!” Shinso blearily turned to see who addressed him. It was a fellow UA student. Since it wasn’t one in 1A, it barely mattered which one. “Haha, sorry. I’ve been busy with my Hero Internship.” “WHOA, which hero?!” “It’s a secret.”
Before the Hero Internship offers came in, he was approached by a Pro Hero directly. Shinsou thought this was unusual, wasn’t it the student’s decision? Edgeshot, known as the Ninja Hero, smirked, though it was hidden by his face-mask. “I’m not offering you an Internship. I’m only offering you… a book.” He held out a plain-looking book, rather old-looking. The binding showed it was from the UA Library, too. On the title was a word he’d never heard before. “Ven-tri-lo-qui-sm for Beginners? What even is that?”
After glancing at him for permission, he opened it to the Introduction… And nearly fell to his knees! “Voice manipulation… Of course! My weakness is how well-known my Quirk is, now. But if I disguise it, if I make it seem like it’s coming from somewhere, someone else…” Shinsou looked up at Edgeshot with new eyes. “I need to learn this… and stealth, infiltration, information gathering, radio protocols… I need a ninja.” And now Shinsou did fall to his knees, and kowtowed until his forehead touched the ground. “MASTER! Please accept me as your student!” Edgeshot nodded in satisfaction. “Well done. Your analytical thinking will serve you well, under me. I am expecting great results.”
