Chapter Text

I’m going to stop letting you in eventually...” the worker said, bringing his friend into the morgue. Ryou was smiling as he replied.

“Oh, please, Ichiro, you’ve said that for months, yet you let me keep having my fun.”

As usual, he was lead to the newer bodies. After all, Ryou’s quirk only worked on those who’ve been dead for less than 24 hours. As usual, he was feeling for the one with the strongest energy. Eventually he found it, and pulled it out.

Ichiro looked over the body of a girl, and then flipped through papers. “Uraraka Ochako, 15, female. Died at approximately 8:15 AM this morning. Her whole class was given the option to stay home. Cause of death is blunt force trauma to the skull. She was training in UA to become a hero. She was found right outside the gates by a classmate, Tenya Iida. It’s tragic, really.”

Ryou felt excited, he hadn’t had an individual this mysterious in a long time. Was it an accident? Suicide? Murder? If it was murder how extreme of a charge? As he began prepping himself, his friend spoke.

“You know, you could, for once, use that power to help the police and not for your own amusement.”

Ryou wasn’t going to explain again, and shooed away Ichiro. He started up his ritual for resurrection.

“Alright, young one, I need you to hear me...” he paused, as if expecting an answer he wouldn’t hear. “I’ll be bringing you back to life soon. Be aware, once alive again, you will grow and change as if you never died in the first place with a few new abilities.”

“Concealing your presence will be easier than most, any sort of injury to the area that’s the cause of death, in your case the head, won’t cause death again but any other will, and I can’t revive someone more than once. The injury you have will be sensitive and you will start bleeding at any damage.”

He adjusted to where he was touching Ochako’s arm, and finished. “I hope you understood. Now, awake.”
