A shocking news broke off the whole South part of Korea. It was all over the place - on the news reports, newspapers, and posters on the streets, all include the news about Kim Taehyung, a prince from a wealthy clan of the South, marrying a princess from the East. Everyone in the area, may it be girl or boy, cried in grief as they don’t have the chance to marry the majestic prince anymore. Their hopes of being the wife or the husband of the prince were crushed just by the news. You couldn’t blame them, Prince Kim Taehyung was the one of the finest prince of the South Korea, who wouldn't cry over that?
“I’m not the only one happy with the news, right?” Jimin sighs, making Taehyung who was busy looking outside the palace, look at him. He folded his arms and frowned towards his bestfriend who is also his third cousin but they've been close ever since they were born. “You deserve better, Taehyungie. You don’t love her and you’re gonna be stuck on this marriage for the rest of your life.”
Taehyung didn’t answer back. He knows that damn well too but there's no other way. It's either he's stuck with this marriage and make his father finally calm down about it or make his father suffer and pester him with more marriages in the future. He's so done with that.
“It’s okay, Jiminie. It’s not like I have someone particular in mind.” He firmly says, grabbing his coat before going out of his room. They both walked towards the garden where they usually hang out. It's actually his favorite place in the palace, he wanted to have one badly so his father decided to build a garden for his son when he finished schooling.
“Heard the news.” Both of them almost jumped from the bench when they heard a voice coming from the bush. They looked at each other with wide eyes and approached the bush but it spoke again. “I’m at your back, dummies.”
Taehyung immediately recognised the voice without even turning back, he knew who it could be and he was definitely right. He scoffed as he faced him, the darn prince from their neighbourhood castle, Jeon Jungkook. Jimin bowed and walked away, he knew he had no business in whatever is between them so he flee away.
“Marrying a princess?” Taehyung didn't answer back as he heard him scoff. "Boring."
He rolled his eyes as he began walking around the garden. “Atleast I am not marrying a pesky prince like you.” He knows too well that he's just mocking him for something he wouldn't expect him to do. Taehyung had enough stress about it already, he only wish people would stop rubbing it on his face already. They both walked around the garden. The sun is shining so bright which the older prince really loves as he feels warm on such a cold weather. “Go away, you’re ruining my mood.”
“What are you gonna do if I don’t?” Jungkook flashed an amused smile on his face, making the older form his lips into thin line in annoyance. “Marry me.” He said, all of a sudden.
Taehyung’s lips broke into a gap as he heard the repulsive words that escaped Jungkook’s lips. The younger seemed not to regret what he said as he repeated it again.
“Marry me, Taehyung.”
The older sighs and shook his head in disbelief. He shushed him and started walking away before anybody hear him or see them together. He knew Jungkook liked to tease him ever since before but pulling this stunt after the news broke off, Taehyung doesn't find it funny. It's causing him confusion and he just felt worse than he did when he agreed to this marriage thing. But as if things weren't getting any worse, Jungkook, after that day, started to annoy Taehyung. Always teasing and convincing him into marrying the younger. Taehyung doesn't even know whether or not he'll believe him but he decided not to, of course. Why would this dunce even want to marry him? He's a prince himself. He should marry off to a princess who he would meet at a party.
“You should leave, the princess is going here.” Taehyung looks at his watch and quickly stood up, shooing him away. They've been hanging around for almost two hours in the garden. No one would even bother them, not even Jimin.
The younger frowned. “What? I wanna meet her.”
“You can meet her at the engagement ball!” He kicked him from the legs and immediately ran away before Jungkook could even kick back. As he ran away, he saw himself smiling as he recall the younger prince's face earlier.
The engagement ball happened that night. A lot of guests whom Taehyung haven't meet yet entered the venue. He waved at them and flashed a big smile on his face while greeting them, pretending that he does know them. The prince loves attending balls, it feels enchanting and magical. He loves dancing wearing his silk suits, looking so fine along the others. He always wanted to flaunt himself, how he looks so good, he knows that. He knows that many people had admired his charms and he knows how good he dance. Attending balls had been his thing, he would come everywhere if invited. Perhaps reading books with mythical scenarios as this did him a part.
“Will Yoongi come?” Taehyung chuckled slightly at the question Jimin asked him. He shrugged, doesn't really know who will come or who was invited. His father was the one who sent out the invitation. “What’s the point of looking so good when he wouldn’t come?”
“Yoongi hyung? He is here.” Both of their eyes widened when they heard a voice again behind their back. It’s always a shock whenever Jungkook talks behind their back, literally.
Jimin quickly turned around and slap his arms, forgetting that he was talking to the prince of the Jeon clan. “Where is he?"
Jungkook laughed at his eagerness and pointed his finger at his hyung’s direction, he has a drink on his hand while he was looking upfront like he was looking for someone he wants to talk to. Jimin's eyes glitter as soon as he saw him. Yoongi is also a prince from the South, a Jeon, Jungkook’s cousin. Jimin thanked him and he quickly ran without even asking for the permission of his bestfriend. Ah, who could blame him?
Taehyung cleared his throat and turned to look at him as they were left once again. “You look.. okay.” He quickly looked away once he saw Jungkook smirked at his direction. The prince was wearing his blue tuxedo which brought out the glow on his skin, making him look amazing among the rest of the people inside the venue but Taehyung wouldn't admit that, not in front of his face.
“Okay? I know you mean I look mesmerizing.” Of course, Jungkook will always continue to tease Taehyung, what’s new really? Taehyung looked back at him but he didn't answer at his remark. Jungkook found a way to lean in and whispered to his ear. “You’re going to get lucky if you marry me.”
Taehyung turned his gaze in front, not wanting to respond to the other. He kept assuring himself that Jungkook didn’t mean any of that, that he didn’t want to marry him. At this point, he really should be used to this but it keeps him nervous, for no reason.
A sudden greeting surprised the both of them, they looked behind their back and saw a beautiful, young princess who was wearing a soft pink gown with the biggest smile on her face. “Prince Taehyung, I’ve been looking for you.” Her sweet smile captured Jungkook’s eyes.
Taehyung bowed slightly. “My apologies princess, I was looking around.” He turned his gaze on Jungkook who was looking at her princess. It was his first time to see the princess, perhaps he was astound by how she looks and how she is captivating. With that gown and its gold details, her make up and hair, she looks like a queen herself.
“Pleased to have you here, Prince Jungkook.” Jungkook was taken aback when the princess greeted him but he managed to greet her back when Taehyung glared at him. “The Kims were talking about your family whenever they got the chance. You both seem really close, too.”
The younger glanced over at Taehyung before smiling at the princess. “You could say that. When’s the wedding?”
“The wedding is in 7 months.” The princess said sweetly before looking at Taehyung. She really is beautiful and lovely, her personality is exactly what Taehyung's type is. She's nice to talk to, a very sweet princess, organized and well mannered. She also came from a wealthy and powerful clan, makes it even more perfect for the prince.
“Prince Taehyung!” A greeting at his side was made too by a Jung, a clan from the East, the princess’ clan. It was her brother, Prince Jung Hoseok, who greeted them with a wide smile plastered on his face. “You look handsome, as always.”
“You look noble.” Taehyung smiles back and bowed slightly at him.
“Prince Jungkook?" Hoseok looked at the younger, who was busy staring at Taehyung. He was caught off guard and an automatic smile flashed as he heard his name. "Oh, for the love of God. You're handsome as well. No wonder people talk about you, your name can even walk to the East!” Jungkook glanced at Taehyung, eye questioning the name of this man but the prince was busy looking at Hoseok.
“That’s very pleasing to hear, I’m glad.” He flashed a grin and glanced at Taehyung again who was now looking at him. Before Taehyung could even say anything to him, a tall, good looking prince interrupted their conversation once again. It was a prince from the East, also came from a Kim clan but different ancestors. He looks good as much as Taehyung does.
“This is The Kim Taehyung? Prince, you do look like a Kim.”
“That’s because I am.” Taehyung answers that made the both laughed, natural from the other and a slightly sarcastic and confused one from Taehyung. “Prince Kim Seokjin?”
“Yes, it is I.” Seokjin bowed and shook his hands with Taehyung. He also bowed to the both of the prince at their side. “I know Prince Hoseok but who is this fine prince beside him?”
“Prince Jeon Jungkook.” Jungkook introduced himself and offered his hands. They started to chitchat with each other while drinking their wines, laughing in between the conversation as Prince Seokjin tries to joke around. Their conversation was light and was interrupted most of the time as royalties from different clans greet Taehyung and congratulate him. The engagement ball finally came to an end after long hours of greeting people and talking to everyone. People who came were now no longer at the castle as the clock ticks by 12. Taehyung sighs heavily as he took off his coat before sitting down at his soft bed.
“Are you upset, Tae?” Jimin asks after coming out of their closet. They both share the same huge bedroom because Taehyung feels relieved and calm whenever Jimin is around so he wanted them to share the room but not the same bed.
“Just tired.” He groans as he lay down his bed. Jimin didn’t push him to say anything more and just lay down his bed too, quietly watching the other roll around his bed as he mutters. “And unhappy.”
“Taehyungie, you can still cancel while you have the chance.” He softly said, trying to calm down his frustrated bestfriend.
“My father wants this, the Kims too.”
“But do you want it?" Taehyung sighed and looked over Jimin with a frown on his face. They both know what the answer could be.
/
“Prince Jungkook.” Taehyung groans as he heard that name again. The maid made their way out and so he was left alone again with the prince. He closed his eyes, assuring himself that he’s just dreaming and everything is not true right now. He’s still asleep—
“Prince Taehyung.” Jungkook greets, a smile plastered on his face. The older opened his eyes and immediately glared at him the moment their eyes met.
"Why are you here again?" Taehyung groaned and sat down on his bench.
“Free access, baby.”
“I’m going to ban you.”
“Try it then, I’m telling it to the King.”
Taehyung hisses, he wanted to kick him out of his palace but he knows he can't. The Kims and Jeons are really close, everyone from those clans can go to their neighbor palace as they have the same trust towards each other. It has been like this ever since they were little. They weren't exactly close before, not until they met at a ball in one of Taehyung's cousin's party, exactly a decade ago. From then on, they share their palace with each other and play with Jimin or Jungkook's cousins throughout the entire day.
“I’m so tired of seeing you, I’m not even going to marry you yet you’re always here.”
“Then marry me.” Jungkook sat on the garden chair beside him and turned to him, a slight smile was visible at his face. Taehyung felt his heart dropped, he regret saying the word. That joke is always being said but he’s still not used to it, he always feel his heart beats faster whenever he hears it. He had to assure himself for a lot of times that it’s nothing.
“Jungkook—“
“Your wedding’s in 7 months. You shouldn't have second thoughts of marrying me."
/
The whole month of Taehyung not being busy before the wedding preparations come is fun, not that he admitted it directly. What he felt during the whole month of being with Jungkook only (sometimes Jimin), not with the princess or his family, was happiness and comfortableness. Even though Jungkook bothers and plays with him for the past years, they never felt goodness in their bondings like this time. Jungkook keeps throwing his infamous ‘marry me’ line and Taehyung reponds to it with a kick or sometimes a punch in the face. It felt nice and warm being able to joke around with him at times and Taehyung likes how warm it feels, like how the sun makes him warm in a cold weather.
But their happiness was cut off as the wedding preparations started. The princess was back at their castle almost everyday, their parents' meet always, the whole castle being busy— the whole thing was so stressful for Taehyung. He didn’t have enough time for himself, for Jungkook, everything is happening so quickly right now as the preparation began and time is slipping on his hands.
He often sleep with Jimin hugging him, as he always cries whenever they’re done for the day. He didn’t get to have fun outside with Jungkook again as he was busy. He didn’t get to rest as he was going on around the castle and the whole area the whole day. It was tiring and he just wanted to rest.
“Jiminie, I’m confused.” He spat out. “I’m happy with Jungkook and now without him being here, it just feels empty.” He says, staring up at the ceiling with emptiness.
Jimin loosened the hug and looked at him with a sad expression on his face. “Taehyung.”
Taehyung‘s tears started coming out again, for the nth time of the month. “I want to get out of this, Jiminie.”
He wrapped his arms around Taehyung’s head and gently caressed his hair. “Taehyung-ah, you can still do it. Tell it to the King."
“I don’t know, I don’t know what to do.” He cried, Jimin didn’t answer back. He let his bestfriend cry his feelings out. He knew it would turn out this way, Taehyung having feelings for him, he knew from the very start even before they were all innocent. He felt bad, not knowing how to take the pain away from his bestfriend so he cried with him, hoping it would get better for a while.
“Jungkook, what’re you doing here?” Jimin whisper-shouted at the prince who was sneaking into the balcony of their bedroom. He was awakened when he heard a sudden knock on the middle of the night and was about to call the guards but Jungkook revealed himself in the dark. He's nervous for what's going to happened if they're caught. Although Jungkook is trusted by the Kims, they would go all out with this when they found out.
“I just want to see him.”
“You’re such a creep!” Jimin shouted with no respect for the prince but he still let Jungkook in, opening the glass door as he glare at him.
Jungkook moves towards Taehyung’s bed, smiling as he saw him sleeping peacefully.
“Why are you really here?”
“Don’t know, I just miss seeing him.” He shrugs, putting his hand on Taehyung’s hair, feeling the softness of it. He gently caresses his hair and sat on the bed while staring at him.
“I’m going to get killed if they knew about this!” Jimin hisses while locking the balcony door and the main door. “Are you staying for the night?”
Jungkook nodded, not tearing his eyes off the sleeping beauty infront of him. "Can I?'
“You can sleep on his bed, just don’t do anything!” He warns before going back to sleep on his own bed. He switched off the light and dragged his own curtain, which he doesn't usually do, to give them some privacy.
Jungkook thanked him silently before slipping under the sheets. His breath shaking due to nervousness. He wanted to wrap his arms around Taehyung’s body but he held himself and decided to just stare at him for the whole night. Taehyung is so powerful and beautiful, no wonder people fall inlove with him and Jungkook is, unconsciously, one of those.
The next morning, Jungkook was awakened by the scream coming from the prince. The moment he opened his eyes, he was kicked out by Taehyung on his bed. He groaned in pain, his mind still dazing off from his good night sleep.
“What are you doing here?!” Taehyung screamed.
Jimin quickly went to the door as he knew the guards would come in any moment. “Jungkook, hide! The guards are coming!” He stopped when a knock was heard from the outside, he looked at Jungkook and Taehyung before opening the door. Taehyung was still confused but he hid Jungkook with bunch of blanket and pushed him where the guards wouldn't see.
“There’s nothing. It just happened that the prince was dreaming about something bad.” Jimin says and apologizes to the guards before closing the door behind him, sighing in relief as the guards took his bait. “Taehyung, don’t scream like that!”
“What?!” Taehyung shouted in disbelief before looking at the both of them. “You knew this, didn’t you?”
Jimin raise his hands in surrender and he received a throw pillow on his face. “Jungkook showed up in the middle of the night, wanting to see you. I couldn't stop him."
Taehyung stopped for a minute and looked at Jungkook who was sleeping again after everything that had happened. “He wanted to what?”
“To see you.”
“Whatever.” The prince seemed to calm down now after knowing that, Jimin sighs and took a shower before going out for breakfast. The two is really making him crazy. Taehyung looked over Jungkook and a smile slowly creeped on his face. What a way to start a day.
Jungkook continued to sleep on Taehyung’s bed for a while, enjoying every moment while it lasts. The wedding is in 5 months, Taehyung knows this is so wrong in many levels but he can’t help it. He can’t help but feel warm with Jungkook, he can’t help but feel loved.
“I’m sleeping on a bed with a man I’m not even going to marry.” He whispered in disbelief before chuckling lightly. His eyes met Jungkook's while they both cuddle under the blanket.
“Then marry me so it can be acceptable.” Jungkook hums, hugging him tighter. This time, Taehyung felt the sincerity in his voice. He didn’t want to assure himself that it was a prank, this time, he wanted to believe it is true. And he knows it is.
“I want to.” Taehyung smiles while looking at the other’s features. “But I can’t.”
“Baby, you can.” The younger opened his eyes, smiling slightly while his hands gently caressing his face.
Taehyung didn’t answer back again. He’s sure everything will fade, he‘s sure their feelings are just temporary and if they stop seeing each other, it’ll fade without getting noticed. It’ll all fade and Jungkook wouldn’t confuse him anymore. He just have to wait for the time when it’ll come.
/
Taehyung requested Jungkook to stop seeing him, to stop coming at his bed, to stop coming to him. All this because the wedding is in 3 months, the preparations became heavier and busier. He can't risk Jungkook getting caught by somebody, climbing their palace or seeing him in his bed. It shouldn't even happen in the first place, this is all his fault. He sighed as he continued on with the preparation. He talked to everyone, he was with the princess 24/7 but his mind seems to not forget Jungkook no matter how busy he became. It frustrates him. But he keeps telling to himself that it’ll fade after a month, his feelings will go unnoticed. Jungkook can’t confuse him now because after all, he's a coward who can't blow this off for his father.
"You look ugly with that." Taehyung almost jumped from his seat when he heard a voice suddenly. The voice owned by someone whom he loves, the voice owned by none other than Prince Jungkook. The fastness of his heartbeat didn’t go unnoticed. He tried to raise his eyebrow at him, not knowing what he was talking about. "The suit doesn't fit you at all."
Taehyung let out a quiet 'oh' in realization. The beige suit really is beyond him, even the prince himself doesn't like it but he had no other choice since the King was the one who told him to wear it. He didn't reply, he wanted to shoo Jungkook away badly, he wanted to get out of the same space they’re currently in. It’s suffocating being with him, he haven’t heard about Jungkook for two months. He thought he’s getting better with moving on but Jungkook really had to appear before the upcoming wedding, confusing him once again, making him suffer again. It’s suffocating and Taehyung can’t handle it anymore. He sighed deeply and moved his body away from Jungkook.
“You're avoiding me now, huh, King Taehyung.” He mocked. Jungkook looks over him who is facing the dark and lonely garden as it was night time already. He noticed the redness in his eyes but can’t bring the topic out. He thinks he's pushing him way too hard.
“Why are you even here? I told you to stop coming here.” Taehyung irritatedly mutters, he started walking on the hallway. He noticed the prince was still following him so he stopped on his track, back facing the other. “Jungkook, just stay the fuck away from me.” He hisses, not caring about the cuss word that escaped from his mouth and about whoever hears it.
“Woah, language. A king doesn't talk like that.” Jungkook seemed not to care or notice how furious the other is, he continued mocking and teasing him until Taehyung really had enough of not only him but the whole tiring and confusing months he had been through and he just wanted to let it all out.
“Just go away.” His tears started flowing out of his face and he couldn’t stop it. Jungkook was taken aback when he heard his quiet sobs.
He wanted to run away and go back to his castle like what Taehyung had said, he really wanted to but how can he leave the prince crying like this? It’s been two months since he last saw him and now he’s crying infront of him, or maybe because of him?
He stood infront of Taehyung and gently took his hands. “What’s the matter?” He whispered at him, trying to eye him but Taehyung keeps hiding his face with his hands.
“Go away.” He continued to mutter, pushing the person infront of him.
“You can tell me.”
Taehyung shook his head aggressively, his tears flowing out without a stop. He’s suffocating around Jungkook’s presence. “I don’t want you here. I don’t want to see you.”
Jungkook sighs, he’s never heard Taehyung in this heartbroken tone before. He has never seen him like this, even before when Jungkook keeps getting him on trouble, he has never cried like this. The sound of his sobs is more painful than Jungkook could ever thought.
“Tell me.” He softly whispered, pulling Taehyung’s head into his neck while he sobs. He patted his back gently. Taehyung felt safe, it was comfortable in his embrace. It was suddenly comfortable in his presence and Taehyung missed it so much, being with him and feeling warm. Without Jungkook, he felt his heart became cold, like the world without a sun. He missed this.
“It’s really hard for me.“ He started, chocking on his words. “It was okay when it started, I handled it for my father. Everything I made was for my father, he wanted this. But then, you fucking came and ruined everything. My life— even my heart.” He cried, punching the other prince’s chest.
Jungkook felt his heart broke by hearing his confessions now. It has always been hard for him too, but it hurts so much more seeing Taehyung break down infront of him, because of him.
“I told you to stop so I can go on with the wedding but you still came.” He let out, his tears flowing nonstop. “Jungkook, you know this is wrong.”
“I know.” Jungkook couldn’t help but cry too, it’s been painful since the very start. “But I can’t stop, Taehyung. I want you, I want to be with you all my life and I can’t afford seeing you marry someone else.”
“Jungkook, I’m supposed to marry a princess and you know that!”
“I know! That’s why I’m not stopping you, I just wanted to see you every fucking day before you get tied down. You’re my sun, it’s not a day without you.” He cried, cupping Taehyung’s face while wiping his tears. “It hurts so much more when I can’t see you, the whole 2 months, I couldn’t barely get up from bed."
Taehyung looked at him with full tears in his eyes, softly placing his hands on his cheeks. “You’re my sun, as well, you make me warm even on the coldest day.”
The both of them cried together, feeling each other’s cheeks as they look at each other with so much pain in their eyes and their hearts. The both of them couldn’t care less if they get caught like this, they just really had to take this moment and be with each other, even if it means the last moment.
“I can’t, Jungkook. I just can’t, you know my hands are tied since the beginning.” Taehyung whispers after snapping some senses, breaking the silence in between them.
“I’m not stopping you.” Jungkook says, looking a little calm than before but his sobs and pain are still there. “I just want to see you everyday. I just have to.” He mutters, words too painful to speak out. Taehyung nods, wiping his own tears. He stood up and turned his back quickly before he gets to see his face. If he does, he knows he’ll run to him again and wouldn’t be able to let go.
“I’m sorry.” Was the last thing he said before walking out. It was the last thing he said that broke Jungkook’s heart again.

Posters had been given out to the whole area as the royal wedding day approaches. The whole castle had been busier, the King had never been so excited and Taehyung was happy to see him like that. He still carried a heavy heart after that moment with Jungkook last month, but it was decided that he won’t do anything now. He’s getting married tomorrow and that’s the final, he might regret but he knows Jungkook would find someone better than him, better than a hopeless prince who’s getting married to a princess he doesn’t love. Jungkook is a fine prince, after all. He's still young and there are princesses out there he can match with.
“Are you ready?”
Taehyung looked at Jimin with a blank expression, not a sad nor a happy one. He became numb after that painful moment, he became quiet than usual and it was hurting Jimin too. He slowly shook his head and flashed a small smile, indicating the unhappiness he’s feeling.
Jimin sighs, pain visible in his eyes. “Is this about Jungkook? Or, the wedding?"
The prince lowered his head as he took a deep breath, trying to compose himself. “I don't know what I would do now. Will I be really unhappy for the rest of my life? It's unfair for me, Jungkook and the princess.”
“Taehyung.” His bestfriend walked towards him and grabbed his shoulders, making the him look at his eyes as he was about to tell him advices. “You’re clearly devastated by this and it’s hurting the people you love, especially me to see you like this. Yes, the King wanted this but he also made you choose your own decisions. You picked this because you knew it’s what he wants. But you also know he can still understand you even if you don’t do what he says, he’s supportive whatever your decision is. Choose what you think is best.”
That’s when Taehyung lost it all again, he started crying. It hits him very hard, this time. He just wanted to make his father happy but that decision is contradicting to his happiness now. He nodded at Jimin and hugged him, taking in what he just said. It became clearer for Taehyung now but he still doesn’t know what to do as the wedding day is tomorrow already, he can’t back out.
/
Taehyung almost ran late at his very own wedding as he was still hangover from his whole night of crying his heart out again, Jimin as well. Good thing their maids were there to wake them up. He went into the shower as Jimin ate his breakfast quickly before going to shower after the other had finished. The wedding is in 4 hours but he’s still here, procrastinating his daily routine.
“Hurry up, Jiminie!” He shouted across the room, getting his coat from the stand. Jimin quickly went out from the shower, dressed but not decent enough as his hair was still wet. “That would do!” He shouted and grabbed Jimin to the car where they would bring them to the venue.
“I even had the towel!” He shouted, shocked about the fact that he had the towel on his hand. He quickly threw it at the couch infront of them and they both laughed at it.
Taehyung was feeling nervous the whole time he was getting dressed and fixed up for the wedding. It’s not because of the wedding but because of what will happen to him, after the wedding. He’s also scared to see Jungkook, even his father. Both of them are his weakness and he can’t hurt them. But he's hurting Jungkook now.
“Taehyung, don’t think much of something.” Jimin reminded him while giving him his suit. He quickly shrugged off the thought and cleared his mind. No matter what happens today, he‘s sure that he’s doing it for himself this time and not for others.
They arrived at the church, two hours after his preparation. He felt more nervous than before. He heard the guests congratulating him, he saw them smile at him. His father— King Kim Namjoon was smiling so bright and he has this proud look on his face that made Taehyung’s heart melt. The clan of the princess was already there too, all of them smiling at him. He can clearly see Prince Hoseok, Seokjin and Yoongi at the side, waving at him.
There was a slightly magical feeling that Taehyung felt but it still felt wrong. There was someone who was missing, someone whose his eyes are searching for but couldn’t find it. Someone he‘s hoping to see to finally come to a conclusion about what’s going to happen to him. Someone he’s been longing for so long but apparently, he was not present.
And there, Taehyung thought, is his fate. What’s going to happen next, is what his life will turn out to be and he will not regret it because the destiny put him into this. There’s nothing more he can do but smile and enjoy the even though painful, still a magical moment.
The piano started to played, the music played, everyone paid attention. The soon to be king walked down the aisle, looking spaced out but still enticing to see. Everyone didn’t notice the torture in his eyes as they were blinded by his beauty and his rich white suit with a slight touch of gold. He looks like a real King, the one who would make everyone bow down just by feeling his presence.
As he was walking, with the King and the Queen at his side, he noticed a familiar gaze from his peripheral vision. It wasn’t Jimin’s nor his clan, it wasn’t from the princess’ clan, it wasn’t from the guards. It was from someone whom he has been waiting for. Someone’s gaze that made him feel different things. He stopped on his track, making everyone shock, even the King. He closed his eyes and everyone seems to know what’s going on, they gave him time to compose himself in the middle.
What truly shocked the people was his next move. He quickly run towards the familiar gaze, he run towards the person whom he truly loves. It was and always will be this darn, pesky prince from the South, the youngest prince from the Jeon clan, the only prince who can make his heart beat. Jeon Jungkook.
“People are looking.” Jungkook whispers, hugging him back and snuggling into his neck, taking the moment to his heart because who cares if it’s only a good bye hug? At least for the last time, he can hug him this tight. At least for the last time, he can feel that the prince truly loves him too, just as much as he does.
“I don’t care.” Taehyung whispers back, tears flowing out from his eyes again. The tears in which he could only let out when it’s Jungkook.
“I told you, I won’t stop you. I’m just here to see you once again.” He utters, tone full of pain as he tries to hold back his tears.
Taehyung loosened the hug slightly and looks at him, eye to eye, with his tears falling. He smiles and gently caresses his face, forgetting about the world outside as he was already with his own world in his arms. “I’m not choosing, Jungkook. I’m not here to choose you, the princess, nor my father. I’m here to make a decision for me and my decision is you.”
Jungkook felt his heart melt and hugged Taehyung again, tightly and lovingly. As how the sun is hugging the whole world with it’s warmth.
And that’s when everyone knew the wedding is cancelled.

A shocking news broke off the whole South part of Korea. It was all over the place - the news about Kim Taehyung, a now King from a wealthy clan of the South, married a prince of Jeon clan, Jeon Jungkook. Everyone in the area, may it be girl or boy, cried in grief and happiness, at the same time. Two handsome princes from an overly wealthy clan married together?! That's unbelievable. Who knew it could happen? Kim Taehyung was crowned as the King, after they married together. It's miraculous, he didn't expect for his clan and the King to be supportive of his idea, he was scared they'd abandon him after what happened but they were joyous of them. Even the King was delighted for what he did back then and he was most proud of him to finally, choose for himself.
"I'm not the only one who's happy about this, right?" Jimin smiles, his eyes gazing towards Taehyung who was busy looking at Jungkook. He looks much more blissful at the moment and he wanted to capture it with a camera. Jungkook's face was lighting up with fond while he plays.
"Who knew this could happen?" Taehyung looks at him and they sat down next to their friends who are currently playing cards. Jimin shrugged and they both smiled widely and played with them.
They’re all hanging out in Taehyung and Jimin’s room which is now kind of a guest room, their beds and furniture are still there but Jimin moved into a larger room in the castle as Taehyung rooms with Jungkook now. They'd probably just turn this room for when they invite their friends over, they can sleep here. Ah, friends, Taehyung can finally call them that. After that failed wedding ceremony, they all managed to become friends. Thankfully, Hoseok wasn’t bitter with it that much and told them he knew from the moment they met each other, Jungkook looks at Taehyung the way he does for Seokjin. The Jung clan and the princess too, they surprisingly forgave the Kim clan and went different paths with the same respect towards each other. Hoseok's sister married a handsome prince from the Kim clan, too.
“Loser!" Hoseok shouted and clapped when Jungkook lose their game. Seokjin, who's now his boyfriend, laughed and they both annoyed Jungkook for losing the game.
"Don't make him sad!" Taehyung chuckled when he faced his husband who is being teased by everybody.
"Let's play again and I will beat all of you!" Jungkook shouted, reshuffling the cards once again which made everybody in the room laugh harder than they were.
“Don’t Kings have jobs?” Yoongi asks, attacking the couple.
Jungkook kicks him at his leg. Taehyung grabbed Jungkook’s hand and they both went out of the room, ditching the group and laughing with each other. Did I mention Jungkook is also a king now? Well, he married a King, of course, he's also addressed as King Jungkook now. Jungkook’s older brother was the one who's taking care of the Jeon’s castle while Jungkook stays with Taehyung with the Kim’s castle as he is his own king now.
Once they were outside, they both stopped and Taehyung wrapped his arms around his neck, slowly leaning in his face.
“I love you.” Jungkook mumbles before making their lips meet. His arms snakes around Taehyung’s waist, pressing their bodies against each other. “Oh God, I love you so much.” He breathlessly mutters, kissing his husband passionately and intimately.
“I love you too.” Taehyung giggled as he felt Jungkook’s kiss on his neck, tickling him. “Jungkook, stop now. We have a meeting with the Lees.”
Jungkook stops and looks at his husband, eyes full of neediness. “I have to wait until evening?” He frowned at the thought.
“Yes, honey. You have to wait.” Taehyung teasingly says and gave him a quick peck too. He laughed at Jungkook’s disappointed look. “Control yourself, geez.” He let go of Jungkook's hold and paved away the invisible dust from his coat.
“How can I possibly do that when my King looks so beautiful all the damn time?” He mutters. He pulled Taehyung’s body closer to him and gave him a kiss again. “You’re the only one who can make me feel this crazy and needy, Taehyung. My king, my husband, my beautiful, so beautiful husband.”
Taehyung wrapped his arms around his neck again, and bopped his nose before smiling widely. “I’m glad I have that effect on you.”
“You’re the only one who can make me feel warm and hot.” He says, once again, making Taehyung laugh loudly.
“You sound so needy right now.”
“Because I am, baby.” He says, tone full of desperation. “Please, I can’t wait for the evening already.” He breathes as he place his head on Taehyung’s shoulder, biting on it.
Taehyung showed off his boxy smile and laughed at him. He patted his shoulder and comforted him. “You can do it.” He teases, making Jungkook groan.
“Don’t blame me later at the meeting.”
Taehyung hold on to his shoulders and made him look at him. ”Do it and I’m going to unmarry you.” Jungkook crossed his arms and frowned at him, he knows he can never win against his King. All he could do is pout and act cute to make him reconsider which works sometimes, like once in a whole year sometimes. “You’re so pesky.”
“You’re so beautiful, always so beautiful.” The younger sighs, not wanting to make his husband feel irritated. He stretched out his hand to reach his husband’s hand and interlocked it with his.
“Watch out for tonight, honey.” Jungkook says, winking.

"Hey, I bought you a rose." Taehyung looked up from his seat, his Jungkook was holding a red rose on his hand. He quickly got up and threw himself into his arms, feeling warm and safe once again. Jungkook pulled him closer and rested his face in his husband's neck which felt good. Hearing his voice and feeling his body again is so nice, he missed this. "I missed you, baby."
Taehyung stayed quiet and hugged him closer, smelling Jungkook's perfume. He reached out for his face and kissed him lovingly. He surely did miss his husband after Jungkook had gone to a meeting with the other clans for three months. They did a lot of travel and they visited many communities to help and serve. Taehyung broke off the kiss and stared at him, the King looked more handsome and lovely.
"You missed me?" Jungkook smiles as Taehyung nods. His hand went up to Taehyung's face and he caressed his cheeks softly. "That's good. How were you? Did you have a hard time?" He asked, he snaked his arm around Taehyung's waist and pulled him closer, their faces are inches away and they could feel each other's breath.
"Not really. How about you?" Taehyung flicked his chin and gave him another peck on his lips.
"I was doing fine. We served lots of communities which was awesome and I met kids who were adorable and thought of you. Do you want to have kids?" Taehyung gasped and without a second, he nodded furiously. He was glad Jungkook brought it up, he was so busy to think about that and totally forgot to talk about it. "I do, too."
"We should adopt!" Taehyung beamed. Jungkook immediately flashed a big smile and couldn't help himself to pinch his husband's cute cheeks as he smiles so widely. He knew getting married to Taehyung was the biggest plot twist of his life and it will always be the greatest gift he could ever had in his entire life. Taehyung felt the same way too, the decision he made before is something he wouldn't ever regret doing even if it means the whole world wouldn't approve. If he could go back to that time again, he would still do the same thing all over again.
He would marry this pesky prince, over and over again. Jungkook makes him happy and no one could ever replace him in Taehyung's heart.
