Jin was not having a good day.
His alarm didn't go off so he missed his opportunity to make fun of Taehyung on his daily morning live stream before going to work, he didn't have time to check twitter this morning because he had to film tomorrow's EatJin video, and on top of it all, he had no easy-to-cook food at home. Everything he had would take a few hours to prepare and he was starving.
Jin had to physically restrain himself from hitting his head on the counter. What has he going to do?
In a hunger-induced fever dream state, he grabbed his apartment keys and headed out the door to buy something quick from the drugstore. He hesitated a little when he started down the stairs- he surely wouldn't be the only early morning visitor there. The store was a five-minute walk from the college he attended and many students were bound to be buying ramen like him. As a well-known chef, buying crappy food and having someone recognize him wouldn't be good for his self-esteem.
Jin huffed out a breath and continued down the stairs. So what if it would ruin his reputation as a master chef if he was caught buying instant ramen at 2 am? He was damn hungry and deserved his shitty, over-salted ramen.
As Jin walked in the cold, night air, he laughed to himself at what Taehyung would think if he saw Jin willingly going out of his way to buy ramen. Tae would surely tease Jin because "he wouldn't eat anything if it wasn't gourmet" and "has probably never tasted ramen in his life".
The two were well-known internet celebrities. They went together as a pair- if you knew Taehyung, you knew Jin, and vice-versa. Fans found it hilarious when the two joked with each other about their taste in food, and Jin and Taehyung didn't mind delivering for them. They loved and appreciated each other, despite how they acted, and were called both rivals and best friends by the media.
Exposing each other was their favorite pastime. Taehyung would catch Jin eating some Pringles and post it on Instagram with an outrageous caption about never believing this day would come, and Jin would do the same by exposing how soft he was for his boyfriend, Yoongi, making Taehyung flustered for the next few hours, which Yoongi loved.
Jin spotted the illuminated neon green and yellow sign in front of the store and pulled the door open. The cashier didn't even bother with a nod in recognition, probably a college student working overtime. Jin didn't really care, just started his search through the store for the ramen. It wasn't something Jin would purchase often, so he walked through a few aisles, listening to the annoyingly happy pop music play through the store's cheap speakers as he searched for his desired food.
The store was pretty much deserted, the only person he had seen was the cashier and Jin was starting to hope he was the only one there.
He did not expect to see another person in the ramen aisle.
He especially didn't expect that other person to be Kim Namjoon, Kim Taehyung's brother- also known as his Instagram crush.
