Chapter Text
Izuku is the only son of King Toshinori who isn't married.
His brother, Katsuki, married a prince named Kirishima Eijirou. They were happy in the princes' kingdom, while Izuku was lonely in his father's castle. He is constantly harassed and bugged by his mother and father to find a handsome husband like his brother. Men came from around the nation to admire him, but no one really fell in love with him like Kirishima with Katsuki. He wants a love like them. Not a random man who just came into the palace to admire his beauty.
Because of his sons gloomy mood, King Toshinori finally decided to visit the oracle of Delphi to ask about the future of his son. Apollo's advice was terrible. Toshinori was told to dress his son in a black suit, left at the summit of a mountain and to stay there alone. His husband would come and fetch him. Apollo warned him of Izuku's husband. He was a terrible creature and more powerful than the gods. Toshinori didn't want to lose his son, but he needed to get a husband soon. Izuku was prepared to face his death as he was escorted to the summit of the mountain. The guards did as they were instructed and left him at the summit with blankets and some fruits and wine. Now, he must wait.
-------------------------------
Izuku laid on a blanket, looking up at the sky. He watched the clouds, his expression barren, void of emotion. His body hollow. No more tears left to cry in his body. He didn’t want to be away from his family. But, what he wants doesn’t matter apparently.
As he sulked, a gentle breeze fluttered past him. It ruffled his hair and swirled around him. It brought sweet smells from far away and soon died down. It whispered to him, quiet whistles in his ears. Sleep, young one, I will take away your pain.
Izuku felt his eyes shut slowly and he began to drift into a passive slumber. He felt himself be lifted up but only felt cool wind around him. Everything turned to black.
------------------------------
When Izuku awoke, he was in a garden. More specifically, he was laying on soft grass next to a garden. He sat up and looked around with a wide smile. The garden had dozens of different kinds of flowers. Alstroemerias, amaryllis’, sunflowers, lilies, and red dahlia’s. So many to marvel at. As he gets up to go admire the flowers around him, and no doubt even more the farther he goes into the garden, he notices a young woman standing a few feet away with a soft smile. She watches his wonder turn to apprehension when he spots her. He backs away a couple steps.
“Who are you?” He asked.
“Oh! I am so sorry! I have yet to introduce myself. I am the west wind, Ochako. I came to help you because you were said but the prince wished to see you as well so I took you here. I merely assumed you would like to get a look at the garden to help adjust naturally to living here.” She said, sweetly.
“L-l-live here?!” He stammered, “Why would I live here?”
“Because you are the princes’ husband. As told by the oracle of Delphi.”
“Why didn’t he come get me himself?”
Ochako glanced toward the immense palace and sighed. “He did not wish to.”
“Why not? If he is to be my husband, why didn’t he come to see me himself?” He demanded from Ochako.
Ochako smiled once again. This time, it was dimmer and didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Why don’t I take you inside? You can take a bath and rest. Tonight we will have a grand feast to celebrate your arrival.” She said, floating past Izuku with her hands clasped together.
Izuku frowned, but followed the wind goddess.
---------------------------------------------
Ochako had left Izuku in an immense room. He was currently laying on the bed in a dark red, fluffy robe. Izuku took a deep breath, longing for his bed back at his father's castle. He curled into himself, his knees pulled to his chest. Izuku just wanted to go home.
His head shot up at the sound of a soft knock on the wooden door. A soothing voice spoke through the wood, addressing him. “Prince Midoriya? It is time for the feast, your highness.”
He sighed softly to himself, “I- uh I’m not hungry.” He said.
“Your highness, I must insist.”
“No, I’m fine. I’m not hungry. Please leave me.” He urged, his voice a bit shaky.
“If you wish.” Was the voices’ last words before Izuku heard retreating steps. He let out a sharp breath and closed his eyes. Hopefully, he could sleep through the night.
