    Eleven years ago, the Battle of Theed was lost. Qui-Gon Jinn was slain by Darth Maul. Obi-Wan Kenobi fled the planet. Anakin Skywalker seemed to vanish into thin air. And both Naboo and its young Queen were left to the mercy of the Trade Federation.
    Since then, the Republic has crumbled, and from its ashes, Sheev Palpatine, secretly Darth Sidious, created the Galactic Empire.
