Work Text:
a day without your caress
a day of grief.
a world missing endlessly your warmth
Am not i clear enough in how much i miss you ?
a wish to hold you must be too greedy in the universe’s eyes for
they take you away and perhaps its my luck- perhaps i was too foolish to believe that i’d find happiness and be allowed to keep it in my grasp.
fool, what a fool i am indeed, to have you gone
for only a fool would have you and not fight to the bone to keep you for eternity.
so i call myself weak, a fool, anything to convey the guilt from a mistake not even mine.
It wasn’t my fault, or was it?
Perhaps it really was, for i chose (or did i?) to love you and let you love me.
truly, i was greedy-
greedy for your gentle hands and soft words spoken to me only
greedy for the way you made me feel, for the way you felt with me
i was so greedy and i’ve lost you and yet-
i don’t regret.
i can’t bring myself to regret you, not when i was alive with you.
a day without your caress, a day with grief
worth it all since i had you, not matter how short our time was.
I had you and you had me, and every day without you is only a day closer to a time where i can hold you without grief or sorrow-
a day with your caress, one of joy, one to revel in for the rest of our lifetimes.
so this harsh day is nothing, nothing compared to you, my love.
