This wasn’t supposed to happen. He wasn’t supposed to be here. Why was he here?!
He shouldn’t be involved, but somehow he was. He just had to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Now everything about your game changed.
It was just supposed to be a small assault. Something to just scare the Heroes. But it suddenly escalated into this big thing that caught Bakugo’s attention.
Now it was you with the League of Villains, against your boyfriend, Bakugo with the Heroes. That was the terrifying part. You were on the opposite side of the coin from Bakugo.
The Villains and Heroes thought that you were just strangers. That you hadn’t met before. So of course they didn’t take in consideration how much you cared for them before they launched an attack.
You prayed every time Dabi sent off a fire attack or Toga came closer to stabbing him, that Bakugo would dodge it. And he was successful so far, but it couldn’t go on forever.
You were busy occupying yourself with a Hero. They weren’t that difficult, but you wanted to drag out the fight so that you wouldn’t have to go up against Bakugo if that came into play.
The hot head seemed to be thinking the same thing, since he was keeping his distance from you. You were glad that he was smart enough to think of that.
You managed to pin the Hero to the ground, but you weren’t using that much force. If you somehow managed to tie them up, then the match would be over. And you wouldn’t want that. So instead, you let the Hero think that they broke free from your grasp.
You both stood up and got ready to fight some more.
“(L/N)!” You heard someone call your name. You turned in their direction while dodging the Hero’s attacks. You saw the disappointing and evil face of Shigaraki.
“What do you think you’re doing? Take care of that boy!” He said and pointed at Bakugo who was defending himself with his explosions.
You continued to dodge and merely shook your head. “I don’t think I should. I’m handling the situation pretty well here.”
Just as you said that, Twice comes in and knocks the Hero out. Your heart started racing. You tried to hide the fact that you were conflicted. Should you show your loyalty to the League by dealing a big attack at Bakugo? Or avoid him getting hurt and the League thinking that you’re a traitor?
“Take. Care. Of. That. BOY!” Shigaraki demanded. He had that angry tone in his voice. He was being desperate.
You didn’t have a choice. You had to show the League that you didn’t have a soft spot for the explosion boy, otherwise both yours and Bakugo’s life could be in danger. So you motioned your hands in the direction of Bakugo and let a swarm of energy fill your palms.
“I’m sorry…” You said and looked away. The energy, which was now formed like a ball, launched towards the blonde. It was unexpected, so it managed to hit Bakugo which shot him backwards into a building.
You tensed and slowly looked at where he landed. Your heart nearly stopped as you saw him far away, unconscious on the ground.
That was truly the moment, when you regret your biggest life decision.
