Chapter Text
"Its beautiful isn't it? The sunset?"
Jungkook's eyes snapped up to the source of the voice. A boy was sitting a few feet away from him, legs dangling over the edge. Was he here to do it too, Jungkook thought noticing the patient's clothes similar to his own the boy was wearing.
"You can't see it from the ground, the buildings cover everything" the boy continued softly, a sad tone underneath his words.
Jungkook kept quiet, contemplating doing what he came here to do or listening to the boys soft sweet voice.
He peered over to see his face. It was then he saw the black cloth covering his eyes and tied at the back of his head.
It occurred to him that the boy couldn't see anything and was probably blind. He probably couldn't see Jungkook pathetically wheeling away from the edge of the building and towards him.
"What are you doing here?" Jungkook said for the first time, his own voice sounding hoarser compared to the boy's.
He hadn't spoken to someone in so long. So so long.
"I like the view that's all," the boy replied, a small smile gracing his pretty features. No scratch that, his beautiful features. "What about you?" He asked.
"I uh..well...I had some work to do up here" Jungkook lied. Well technically he didn't, if you count trying to jump off a 15 story hospital building in a wheelchair as work.
Before the boy could say anything, the door to the roof burst open and a man in a nurse's uniform stood at the door breathing heavily.
Taehyung.
"Jungkook!" He yelled, panicking once he saw how close to the edge he was.
Within seconds, Taehyung was scoping the younger boy up in his arms bridal style, another nurse rolling away his wheelchair.
Jungkook peered over Taehyung's shoulder and saw the mysterious boy was looking at the horizon again, the last rays of the sun falling over the him, washing over his body like satin and Jungkook wished to see him again.
