- Is it confirmed? – I asked through the communicator while I was waiting in my room in one of the biggest hotels in Tokyo.

- Yes, we can confirm. Your new identity has been made official – A voice of a kid speak on the other side – You’re now, Arie Shirokoshi –

- Good, at least now I enjoy Japanese privileges, right? – I said with a cocky smile on my face.

- Yes, you do but be careful, even if you’re now an official Japanese girl your background is empty, if people look in your past they will not find any information and they will suspect of you – He replied.

- Chill out kid, I got this – I answered with confidence – Also you’re the greatest Master Mind, you will take care of me – I said in a more kind tone.

- W-Well yes! But don’t get in any unnecessary problems – He said will a little nervous tone. I couldn’t stop myself from a little laugh. – Hey! Don’t laugh at me! Even when I’m getting worried about you… – He yells in a cute tone.

- Ok, ok, I promise I won’t get in any problem – I finally relented.

- If you two finally stop flirting, can we finally get to the point of the call? – A female voice sound in the background.

- We weren’t doing that! – He said in a flustered tone.

- Oh hey, Governor, what’s up? – I respond in a relaxed tone.

- Don’t say that to me, it’s so improper – She said in an almost offended tone.

- Sorry girl, anyway – I continue – You got the information?

- Well, obviously yes – She said with proud – But it’s not precise –

- What does that mean? – I asked with confusion.

- I remember you that this person you’re looking for is it’s a very well-guarded state secret, not even my most precious contacts could get so much more information than this – She answered with a harsh tone.
It’s obvious that the fact that she, The Governor, couldn’t get what she wanted was a big punch in her pride.

- I understand, so what we could get? –

- Just this, apparently this person is in Japan so we were right in sending you there, according to the rest of the documents the person is in Chúbu, Shizuoka –
I look through the window of my room, I could see how my eyes became a little bit orange and my sclera a little bit darker and I take a long breath to calm down. Even my hands were getting a little bit of electric.

- You’re ok? – The Governor asked me.

- Yes – I replied.

- If you cause another shut down in the hotel I will not save your ass again –

- I’m fine, I just get a little excited – I said with innocence.

- Yes, sure – She sighed – I will make Kitsune send you the train tickets at the hotel’s restaurant –

- Kitsune? Can’t you send someone more… friendly? Like Jaev! He is such a big dorky guy – I said with hope.

- Really? You want me to send Jaev to a prestigious hotel full of expensive items that he would most likely break? –

- Well… No, but Kitsune?! He hates me – I’m serious, she can´t have anyone else to send the tickets? Kitsune’s the last face I want to see before I go to Shizuoka.

- Darling, I’m sorry to tell you but… this is an order from your superior – She said with a harsh and loud tone, I begin to sweat, please don’t use the voice.

- Fine, fine! I will receive the tickets from Kitsune –

- I’m glad that you’re fine with it – I could almost see his evil smile in her tiny face.

- He will be there in the morning at 8 o’clock so you better be ready, the train leaves at 9:30 – She declared with firmness – Have a safe trip – And then she hung up.

- Master Mind are you still there? – I asked.

- Yes! What do you need? – He replied with excitement.

- What are you doing here?! I told you that this area is private! – I could hear Master Mind yelling at him.

- What are you doing? – Jaev ignored him – Oh! You’re talking with Grandmaster, you should tell her that phrase I teach you! – I could hear Jaev trying to say something else until something like a glass broke against something.

- Shut up, you idiot! – And then the communication close.

- Weirdoes – I said with a big smile in my face. They’re the best team ever.

I took a big shower in the bathtub with bubbles and all while I was thinking about the trip I had to take and everything I will have to do when I get there. Since the beginning this mysterious person has escaped from me and The Base like a freaking cockroach but now we had the upper hand, he or she didn’t know that we have located him/her in Japan, Shizuoka so now we just have to get information about the place where they keep him or her and then I can do what I have to.

A sound takes me out of my mind, it was my phone. I reach my hand to take it and I could see it was a message from Iris, it’s weird because she doesn’t like to use his cellphone – I have new information about who is watching over the little God – I said out loud and frowned at the last part, this person might have the power to give life but he’s not even close to the status of some god, he or she doesn’t know what it’s like to live the life of a god, seeing the world grow little by little that you don’t even notice, watching people born, grow and died as it has only passed one day, until you realize that more than 200 years have passed and for you it’s like just a month. The eternal pain of the Immortals. Like a goddamn curse.
I stand up from the bathtub and take a towel from the furniture leaving my cell in the chair, I wrapped myself in the towel leaving my wet hair dry by itself and I take the cell again to read the next message “It seems that the protector of the little god it’s another Immortal that has taken the role of a Hero” I open my eyes with surprise, another immortal? Here in Japan? It couldn’t be a coincidence. “We check some databases of heroes in Japan but even when she is in the list we couldn’t find any information about his past, it’s like all the information about her has been locked.” I sighed, now things were getting worse. Another immortal meant problems, she probably knows about the little one and his quirk so she is protecting him from something.

Could she know about me? I don’t think so, I have been very careful about my identities but, she could have noticed that “someone” was looking for the child and it’s taking precautionary measures. Damn it. Even so, she probably hasn’t figured out that I’m an immortal so while the secret it’s safe I would have the upper hand.
I respond the message with “Ok, got it. I will look for information in the city when I got there.”

I went to the room to change into some comfy pajamas and start to do some search in the deep web with my laptop, it didn’t take too long when I contacted someone called Giran that lived in Shizuoka who said that could get me good information by the afternoon of tomorrow, we agree to meet in a place he would choose and will send me the address later. Of course, nothing is free so I have to pay him 15,000 yen but one of my kind corrupt political friends will pay for me, they’re such nice people.
I shut down my laptop and put in the night desk, cover in blankets and with the warmth of the bed, I finally fell asleep.

I wake up with the sound of the alarm that means it was time to get ready, I check the hour and it was 7:30 a.m. so I sit down in the bed a little bit sloppy, I changed into some fancy clothes, a simple white dress to the knee with a black belt and a large red coat with black heels, I finish it with a little bit of makeup and some accessories like a small gold necklace and a golden bracelet. Now that I look like a decent person I brush my brown kind of gold hair and I check that my eyes were green. I still looked like Selena Rivera. Good.

I took the elevator to the first floor with calm, it was 7:55 but I still had time, I get to reception and asked for a package, luckily they received it and they delivered it to me, with my package I return to my destiny and walk to the restaurant to eat some freaking good food. In the back of the restaurant I saw a guy in a table all by himself, it was all I needed to know it was Kitsune. That antisocial bastard.

- I see you really wanted to go incognito – I said with irony while I take a sit.

- And for what I see you really wanted to attract some attention – He replied with annoyance.

- Beautiful women always attract attention, excuse me for being like that – I said with proud.

- Yeah, beautiful. If it wasn’t all fake – He said with a corny smile.

- Excuse me? – I asked clearly offended.

- Well, except for everyone else in this place, I know about your Chameleonic skill – The tone in his voice was clearly made to make me angry – You can’t trick me – And he topped with that.

- If I am fake then you’re an awkward social bastard with a fetish for lolis – I said with proudly display.

- Don’t put The Governor in this! She is a beautiful angel and an intelligent woman in the body of a child, she is so amazing and I would give my life for her! – Started saying with the biggest orgasm face I have ever seen.

- Dude, you have a problem –

- Shut up fake –

- Yeah, sure –

- Just take the tickets and go away – He finally said and hand me the train tickets.

- Uh, I’m a hotel guest. You can’t kick me out freak – I replied taking the freaking tickets.

- Whatever, go and die or something – He said while he stands up ready to go.

- I wish I could genius – I answered with boredom. I watched him go and then I asked the waiter to bring me the breakfast of the day. It wasn’t anything special as usual.

After I finish my breakfast I went to my room to check everything was in his place and with that, I went ahead to the Tokyo Station Gallery. In the station I just had to wait for my train to arrive, it wasn’t too long since I was just in time (9:28 a.m.). I took the time to pass for the bathroom and change my look for my meeting with Giran, I didn’t want to look like Arie, yet, so I went for a simple Japanese style of a grown women, straight long black hair, white skin, dark gray eyes and of course some big boobs, even if I’m not a fan of them I kind of like the help they can bring sometimes, it’s a little trick. I went outside and no one seems to have noticed me so I went to the train that had just arrived and went right away to my seat.
Governor made sure that I could get the better seat in the train so I went to my Green Seat and luckily no one was in the other place so I put my bag in there and take the seat next to the window, with plenty of space and finally going to Shizuoka I started thinking, because apparently, my head can’t stay quiet.

Watching the city through the window I start to remember my time in Mexico, when I was still Selena Rivera, a young girl who fight the crime and corruption of his country, she was a thief like Robin Hood, someone who steals from the rich to give to the poor and the one who stole some of the most valuable antiques from the most wanted narcos, politicians and improper businessmen that kept them apart from the world, sending the antiques to the museums so the people can appreciate their cultural value. But when I’m not stealing things in Sinaloa and Oaxaca, I was exploring the Lacandon Jungle in Chiapas and diving in the world’s largest underwater cave in Yucatan. Now Selena has disappeared and I’m going to be Arie Shirokoshi, the 8th one in the line.

We were passing close to the ocean and I couldn’t stop myself from remember the beautiful beaches I saw in Mexico and California, and the coasts where I used to live, somehow I always ended in places near the water, contemplating me in the shore never really knowing why it’s like the ocean has always been the only thing that has remained the same over the years so it feels almost like a home. Imagining the feeling of my feet under the water and the sand under me, the wind that tastes salty and with the sound of the sea, I fell complete asleep.

When I wake up the train was just arriving at Station Shizuoka, taking my bag and luggage I get off the train and check the hour, it was 11 o’clock so I had an hour to leave my baggage in my new apartment and then go right away to the meeting place Giran tell me. Using a taxi I went to the address that Governor send me and luckily I got there in just 10 or 15 minutes, paying the taxi and taking my baggage I went to the elevator to the 6th floor and direct to the apartment #341, this was some of those exclusive and expensive apartments that only rich people used or that commonly the pampered children used to be away from their parents, but of course, these were the ones who paid for the apartment, and many of those children were students in some absurd expensive high-class school but thanks to that the majority were always in their apartments doing homework or something stupid in the city.

I used the key that was inside the package Master Mind send me and once in place I insert the password that was in the message from before and finally open the door, there was a small hallway in the entry like a good Japanese house, the little step that indicates that famous tradition of “take off your shoes or I kill you” and besides was a shelf of shoes, I put my heels there and enter the apartment, it was big inside, there was a living room, a bathroom, my room, a small but cute kitchen and a balcony with enough space for a little table and a chair, the place was simple but pretty elegant, I make a mental note to go shopping later to buy some cute decorations and some food, I check the clock in the living room noticing it was already 11:30, I panicked for a second and check my phone looking for Giran’s message, it seems that the place was in an alley in the center of the city. Without much concern, mostly because even if they tried to hurt me I would kill them in less than a minute, I took the money that I put in an envelope and went ahead to the street in front of the apartment is lucky that no one of the neighbors have noticed my arrival, I took another taxi and he let me in the center, I started to walk to the alley that the map in my phone was marking, once I found the freaking alley, because this city has more freaking alleys than New York, a shady man ask for who I was looking for.

- I’m looking for Giran – I respond quickly with a serious face.

The man smile – So you’re the woman he was waiting for, fine, follow me – He said and start to walk down the alley so I follow him behind keeping some distance. He opens a door and told me to wait inside, I nod my head and enter in the building, it looks like a small office with a desk and a mini bar, another door in the other side of the room and also there was a table and two small couches but the most prominent thing was the smell of cigarettes, it’s disgusting.

Finally, a man with glasses came from the other door and greet me – So you’re my new client, right? What was your name? Oh yeah, Maia! Nice to meet you, the trip must have been long, want a drink? – He asked with that I-know-everything kind of smile.

- No thanks, I came here just for information and I hope that you won’t disappoint me – I reply with the same tone and an innocent smile.

- Straight to the point huh? – He said with a smile – Well darling, you didn’t make it easy, this person you’re looking for it’s been keeping by some really strict security measures, the only thing I could find was that his codename is Kaijuu and that apparently is hidden in one of the buildings that the Hero company own, but it’s super top secret so no one could identify the building – He ended up with relaxed face.

- Hero Company? – I asked, I knew heroes existed in nowadays but I thought they worked in agencies.

- Yeah, you know. The people who make the rules, the big fishes that control how the hero world works and the people who control every agency, they even have power over the police – He responded with a complicated expression, like if he had some issues with them.

- Okay, I understand that. So they have this person hidden in an unknown place but someone has to look out for him or her. If this person is still a kid they need someone he/she trust so their quirk won’t go crazy, right? – I said thinking about the multiple times the system has used this method.

- Bingo girl. It’s always better for a kid to have an authority figure they can trust and look out for –

I thought about Mother and how she taught me a lot of things about survival, how she loved me every second and how she would always protect me. The kid must have someone like that or else he/she would go out of control very quickly.

- Even if I couldn’t find anything about the exact location I could found about this hero you ask, his real name is Hidéyo Akabane and his hero name is “Gaia”, his quirk is called “Mother nature” and it let her create and control every kind of plant she wants using the energy and nutrients of his body, it’s very powerful so she is almost always out of the city working in some important mission but lately she has been required to stay in the city in some secret mission, suspicious right? – He said with a goofy smile.

- Yeah, suspicious – I repeat. Why his hero name makes me nostalgic? Gaia isn’t a name that I have heard before, I don’t remember any Immortal with that kind of representation. I will have to ask the Governor.

- But the most interesting thing is that she will be a new teacher in the U.A. this next year – He continued and I open my eyes in surprise. That’s it! That’s how I will get the information, I just have to enter in the U.A.! It was so easy. I thought about every possibility in less than a second, this would work, I knew it.

- Then that’s where I can find her – I said out loud noticing too late.

- Oh? You’re going try to enter in the U.A.? That’s interesting, you’re an outsider darling, they are not going to let you in so easily, his security measures are really good – He replied while suddenly he opens his eyes like he was realizing something in his mind – But you know – He continued with a suitable tone. I raise my eyebrow as I look at him, I knew he was going to ask for something. – You could enter like a teacher too, you seem like an intelligent woman and it seems to me that your quirk is really good, I’m pretty sure you could get the job – And the big smile came in – If you enter in U.A., I would be very happy to know about it and you know, get some good information –

- You want me to tell you about the things that happen in U.A., like an informant – I said with a knowing look.

- Oh no! I didn’t mean it like that, just like a little retribution for my help – Giran looked really interested, that man has already a plan in his head. I knew it. I don’t need to read his mind to know. Even if I didn’t like the idea of being an Informant I wasn’t really all that against it, it’s not like I haven’t done that before.

- Fine, if I enter in the U.A. I will give you information – He smiled - But in exchange, I want the same amount of information that you can get from what I ask you – I continued.

- Sure of course! I just… – He started talking.

- And – I stopped him in his tracks - About the actions that your people are going to do when I gave them the information they want, I don’t want them to interfere with my plans
– I said with a business look but then I bent over and looked at Giran straight in his eyes – If they interfere and make me lose my chance I will come back here and burn this place to the ground. Have I made myself clear? – I ask him with my glowing eyes looking directly into his eyes and making him feel the Instant Kill aura. It's an special skill of the quirk that allows me to create an intimidating aura similar to an aura a Depredador would emit to his prey. It's very useful with interrogations.

- Super clear – He responds quickly.

- Good – I said with an innocent smile and finally unhinging his tie. – It’s always nice to make good deals –

- Damn girl, It wasn’t necessary the threat – He said frustrated.

- Maybe, but hey! We need some security measures, right? – I replied.

- You’re something girl, here is my card so call me when you need something else –

- Oh, thanks! Here is your payment, thanks for the information – I wave my hand saying goodbye – I hope to see you some other time – I said finally leaving that place and getting out of that nasty alley.

- Man, I need to tell Master about this – He said taking his phone and calling a mysterious number – Shigaraki will be very happy about this for once –

After that I called The Governor from my apartment and tell her everything Giran told me, she said that even if I apply for a teaching job the system in U.A. was far more complex than before and that apparently only heroes could apply. Man, that’s so unfair. Create another identity now out of nowhere and then become a hero to later become a teacher is going to be very suspicious and some people will start to ask so It wasn’t a viable option, the only chance I would get to enter is if I apply to become a student. A freaking student in the U.A. I will have to go to some weird school and study to become a hero. Who would ever want to do that? I have enough problems with this Hero Gaia, the little demi-god, the whole immortal thing and now I have to be a hero. Great. Just great.

- I only have one question – The Governor said.

- What’s it? – I asked.

- Why would Gaia apply for a teaching job? It’s not his M.O and she’s not an old hero, and if she is watching over a kid I don’t think being a teacher is a good plan if what they need is someone to look out for him/her – She was right, this wasn’t necessary, why would she do that?

- I don’t have any idea… - I answer with honesty until something suddenly make click in my head – Unless – I started

- Unless what? – The Governor sounded impatient.

- Unless she’s looking for something or someone – I reply carefully.

- Something or someone… – She repeats – What could she need? –

- Maybe she’s looking for a special quirk or some special tool – I continued.

- It could be. The U.A. has really good engineers and his support department it’s always creating new equipment that can help young heroes to have better control over their quirks – She realized. And me too, that has a lot more sense.

- That’s totally possible, but why she needs to go in person? Can’t someone else do that? – I asked.

- Maybe they want to keep the secret the most – She replied – If someone just goes and takes some equipment that will raise some questions and that’s not convenient for them –

- It’s true – I said – Well, I guess I will have to go there and discover it myself – I finished the talk with that.

- You’re right, good luck with you inscription – She said – I will call some contacts and make a recommendation for you so it’s easier –

- Thanks, ma’am – I thanked her while having a goofy smile.

- Yes, yes, I know, have fun choosing only one quirk – And then she hangs up.

Wait. Do I have to choose only one?!

I look at the paper in front of me full of crossings out and smudges with an angry expression, I write all the multiple quirks I could use and which one would be more useful but no one satisfied me. And having more or less 30 quirks wasn’t of any help.

#1.- I could use Teleportation but that quirk it’s what I use to escape or move around the world and I didn’t want everyone to know about it.

#2.- Reflecting mirrors is a good one but I only really used it to block attacks and even if I learn another way to use it I wouldn’t be able to do a lot of things in combat, it’s more like I can lock up enemies.

#3.- Levitation is only able to be used in my body so it was a resounding no.

#4.- Compression of the wind is good in combat and to jump around in the air so it’s very useful in the open field but inside a school, it would be very limited, we will see.

#5.- Air bending is almost the same, I mean, air bending was created based in Compression of the wind, but unless that one, this made me able to control air at will so it was more powerful in some ways, it isn’t a bad option.

#6.- Energy is what commonly you would call “Electricity”, mostly because that’s the easiest way to use the quirk, but in reality Energy let me use any type of energy is his pure form and expel her from my body, I haven’t perfected the quirk so I’m not sure how much I can control it but it’s still a good choice.

#7.- Elasticity is not bad, but it wasn’t so effective for me.

#8.- Annulment of Quirks is useful and I have heard about a hero that can erase other people’s quirk but because it’s not a common quirk people would be curious about it so it’s a no.

#9.- Armor is good but it’s hard to use in large combats and it’s heavy as hell.

#10.- Necromancy… maybe? No, forget about it, we won’t use that again.

#11.- Overload is cool but not really effective as Energy because it needs a source of power.

#12.- The Sirens song is not a bad option but I’m a little shy about other people hearing me sing, I will have scenic panic!

#13.- And Instant Kill it’s not good because I have no control about it, I will just go mad killing everything that the quirk considers to be a threat. So I guess it’s better not to use that.

After a lot of self-reflection I decided to choose Air bending, it's easy to use in combat and as defense and most important, I had a lot of experience with it. I called Governor to tell her about my choice, she said it was a good choice so I felt good and less guilty about leaving the other quirks behind.

She told me about my exam, apparently, it seems that because I was a recommended student I had to do the exam before the other students who weren’t recommended. At least there were 30 recommended students with which I would have to compete. It doesn't seem too hard. We talk about last details and hang up, Governor seems worried about something but she didn’t tell me about it so I suppose it had something to do with some important mission.
I almost forgot, she also told me that Morfeo and Iris would go to watch me in the exam and see that everything went right, I haven’t seen Morfeo and Iris in a while so I’m excited about it, maybe we could go for lunch or something after the exams.

I went to the bathroom to finally change my appearance into Arie Shirokoshi, I decided with Governor and Master Mind that I was going to need a neutral look but with enough sparkle to stand out of crowd so I decided to go with long straight blonde hair that ended wavy on the tips, white Japanese skin, a decent size of chest for a Japanese girl with some foreign details, and last but not least, the eyes, I was going to choose a grey kind of dark color but I felt like I wanted something more shiny, more mysterious so at the end I choose bright golden with some orange details and make my pupils more clear, kind of grey so the iris would look more shiny, with that I finished my look and finally I became Arie Shirokoshi. I didn’t care so much about standing out but the look was good, maybe too standing for Japanese standards but I wasn’t the only blonde girl in Japan they are everywhere in the streets so I didn’t think that being blonde was a big deal, unlike Governor who said that I was being too sparkly apparently, it didn’t matter ‘cause I could convince her that the look was fine.

After all of that, I started to study everything I needed to know to pass the written examination with 100% and with “Advanced intelligence” it would be so much easier. After all, the exam was in less than a month. I’m still surprised that Governor could register my request thanks to his contacts, this world it’s pretty amazing.

These weeks I had been training like when I was younger and Governor received me in the Base, training to be an agent, a spy, a thief or whatever they need. I didn’t need to train my body a lot because I wasn’t in bad form but I needed to get used to using air bending and practice a lot so I wouldn’t have any problem, creating new techniques and movements with my body so that the air can move easily around me.

Air bending wasn’t a hard quirk to control in the most basic level, what it’s hard is predicting the wind patterns all the time so your attacks won’t fail, for that I had to learn a lot about climatology and wind physics, at this moment I could tell you what will the weather be tomorrow. Well, I could always use Clairvoyance.

Now that I remember, Governor told me that I had to use it when I get to the school, in his own words she just said “- When you get to the entrance I want you to use Clairvoyance and see the future until the end –” I didn’t know why she would ask me to do that, it wasn’t to see if would approve or something, she sounds like she wanted to verify something, I asked her why but she just said something like “- You will understand when you do it –“ And I didn’t ask again.

Back to my studies, they were easy cake, nothing I haven’t seen before and hero law wasn’t that complicated as I thought “A hero must never harm innocent people” or that’s what it said, but it’s so obvious. Everything else in the exam was about math, physic, chemistry, and lecture. The exams in the Base were far more difficult but hey, I’m not complaining. I went right to sleep after finishing everything so my body won’t be exhausted.

Anyway, the month passes quickly and the day of the exam arrived, I put the sports clothes that Master Mind send me, they were made with a resistant but light material that would let me move around easily and was aerodynamic, so cool I thought. Even if it was a complete suit like the ones I used in the Base I still think that is really nice of them to have done it for me. But even so, I put a sports shirt over the suit so it didn’t look like I was going to the war. I take my bag with my multiple identifications, a bottle of water, money and of course, food.

Taking the train and finally going to the U.A. I asked myself about the future waiting there, Governor usually don’t ask me to see the future because she thinks it’s not good to depend so much on him, when I acquired the quirk I used to use it a lot, mainly for combat and to see the possible threats in a mission, but Governor scolded me saying that depending so much in a quirk would weaken your natural instincts and when you were not able to use your quirk then that’s when you’re dead. So for her to tell me to use it was weird but Governor never made a mistake before so I trust her.

Once I arrived at the station I had to walk a few blocks, once there and before the gigantic entry I felt suddenly nervous, it’s not like my abilities were bad or that I’m not ready for the exam, I just suddenly feel like the weight of the world was right there inside this walls, not my mission but something bigger than me. I felt astonished, anxious and excited, the simple thought of something happening in the world that will take me out of the whole immortality thing was just too much to handle and I needed to scream.

- Here I comeeeeeeeee! – I scream with excitement and raising my arms to the sky.

- Let’s do iiiiiiiiiiiiiit! – Another guy scream next to me. I looked at him and he looked at me, we smile and then.

- Here we come U.A! U.A! – We scream together and then we laugh like someone has told us the best joke in the world.

- Man, that felt good – I said while still laughing.

- I can’t control my excitement! I’m so happy to be here! – He replied with a big smile.

- Nice to meet you, I’m Sele… I mean, Arie Shirokoshi – I correct myself fast enough so he didn’t seem to notice.

- Nice to meet you too! I’m Inasa Yoarashi! – He said bending down up to the soil crashing his head to the ground.

- Are you okay?! – I ask worriedly about his head.

- I’m fine! I just got too excited! – He replied with a smile.

- You sure know how to get excited – I said giggling a bit. Inasa remind me a little bit of Jaev but with so much more energy, he looks like a big guy that wouldn’t hurt a fly but his big body shows how he could easily break some bones.

I heard someone tutting in the back so I turned my head and see a half white half red-haired boy who just walked straight to the building, that was rude I thought but I didn’t think so much about it – We should go to the building – I said to Inasa and we started to walk together – So tell me, what is your quirk? – I asked with an inquisitive look.

- It’s Whirlwind! It let me create powerful gusts of wind! – He said with a lot of excitement. I looked at him with surprise.

- It’s similar to my quirk! – I said caught up in the emotion.

- Really?! What is your quirk?! – He asked with the same excitement.

- Its Air bending, it allows me to control the existing wind in the environment so it isn’t as powerful as yours, I can’t create the wind – I replied a little bit ashamed that my quirk wasn’t as strong as his.

- But still! It’s pretty good! I’m sure you are very skilled at it! – He said with honesty. I blushed a little.

- You’re such a gentleman – I said giggling a little.

- It’s what a hero does! Also, every quirk is amazing in his own way you only have to find the right point of view! – He said out loud with a lot of excitement. I just smiled and keep walking with him, if what he said was true I’m sure my life wouldn’t be like this, but it wasn’t real, I couldn’t believe in his words, some quirks weren’t amazing, some of them were a curse. A curse that will be there forever.

Once we reached the big building a hero called Present Mic received us and give us the instructions, he was… how I should say it? Very loud. It didn’t particularly bother me but it was something curious. They lead us where the written exam would take place, it was a big room with a big screen in the front, there weren’t as many people as I thought, at least there were like 30 persons.

They give us the whole introduction and I’m pretty sure I fell asleep in the middle of it, they finally give us the exam and I’m freaking sure I kill it. It wasn’t that difficult but I have to accept that they make it hard enough.

And finally, we start the Practical test, we would pass 6 people at a time in every turn, making five turns. Inasa was in the first turn alongside the half and half haired boy from before who had some really cold eyes now that I see him close enough, but I could recognize that look, it was from someone who was trying to reach a specific goal, a goal that will for sure burn him to the ground.

Even if Governor orders me to read the future after the test I decided to see the future of that boy, I want to know what he is trying to reach. While closing my eyes I started to make connections with the memories inside his brain, I could see the moment he born, his childhood, I could see how much damage his father make to him alongside his suffering, I could see how much hate he accumulated in his soul, then I started to see other memories, the U.A, a green haired boy, some battles, a big creature attacking someone, what it seems like a festival, the green haired boy again and how those two seems to be talking about something important, I bet it’s about his goal, some training, exams, then I saw a heroes killer, a camp, someone being kidnapped, then another battle that seems very important, training, more battles, a battle with… Inasa? More of that green haired boy, more training, another exam, a big moment with his father, another festival? I think, some big emotions about his father and more battles my goodness.

I stopped right there because I notice Todoroki, I learned his name in his memories, looking at me as if he has noticed the connections I made with his brain. I looked away trying to look innocent.

I felt a little dizzy after seeing all his memories in the past and future, this is why I also don’t like using Clairvoyance, using the physic of “everything is happening at the same time so there is no past, present or future” I can connect with the memories of a person or a place and see things in what it would be the past, present, and future, it’s almost like traveling in the time but only with the memories, but because of that my head always feels dizzy after some time.

- Are you okay? – Someone asked me. I looked in front of me and I saw a beautiful girl looking at me with a worried face – Are you feeling bad? – She asked again.

- O-Oh no, no! I’m fine, thank you – I replied quickly – It’s nothing! – I said with a smile.

She didn’t look convinced – But you seemed to be feeling a little sick, you suddenly close your eyes and it looked like you were feeling bad – She continued.
Ah crap, I forgot there were more people around me, I hope Morfeo and Iris didn’t see this.

- Thanks for your concern but I’m fine, really! I was just… meditating, you know, to have a better… concentration? – I said without being sure about what I was saying.

- Oh – She looked intrigued – I understand now, you sure are prepared for this – She smiled at me.

- Of course, it’s about being a hero after all – I said, man… that was very forced.

- You’re right – She agreed. I just smiled. – I almost forgot, what’s your name? –

- My name is Arie Shirokoshi, but you can just call me Arie and you? – I said proud of myself for not forgetting my actual name.

- Nice to meet you Arie, my name is Momo Yaoyorozu – She said with an excited tone.

- Then it would be Momo – I said with a smile. She blushes a little and his eyes glow with excitement.

- Almost anyone calls me like that – She replied a little bit shy.

I blink twice, I just remember that first name in Japan are something really important, for some reason, and calling someone by his first name means that you and that person had a very close relationship. Although I thought between girls was fine.

- Ah, sorry – I apologized – If you don’t like it it’s okay – I said with a smile, I didn’t want her to feel like she was being mean.

- Oh no, no! It’s completely fine, I was just taken by surprise – She confessed with a shy face.

- Oh, then I guess it’s okay – I simply said and she seems to relax.

- ALMOOOOOOOOST! THE NUMBER 41 ENDS IN FIRST PLACE! – The hero Present Mic scream. I turn around and saw how Inasa managed to get in first place.

- Good work Inasa! You are the best! – I scream with joy, I was genuinely happy over his victory even if I saw it coming. I looked at him and notice how he said something to
Todoroki with excitement and how the other reply, after that Inasa looked in shock. I got worried. I try to talk to him but it was my turn now. I walk to the start line and I started to attract all the air that was in the environment.

- ONE, TWO THREE, GOOOOO! – After hearing Present Mic I propelled myself forward and kept propelling the air in front of me backward as an airplane turbine would. Some guys were trying to keep up so I dropped my body facing like a dive and pushed me like a human arrow. My new position allowed my body not to create so much aerodynamic resistance, I cross the finish line and letting the air to flow naturally I left myself to fall down giving a somersault to finally get up of foot.

- THE NUMBER 36 WINS CRUSHINGLY! – Present Mic shouted through his microphone. I step aside and see Momo waving at me so I went with her.

- That was incredible Arie! Your quirk’s pretty useful, even if it’s similar to the other guy – She said.

- Inasa? – I said – Yeah they’re pretty similar but his quirk is more powerful than mine –

- Even so, your execution was incredible – She praised me.

- Geez, you’re making me all flustered – I said joking.

She giggled a bit – Well now it’s my turn, wish me luck! – said while walking to the start line.

- Good luck! – I shouted at her. After that, I looked around trying to locate Inasa, after his talk with Todoroki he seems a bit down. I saw him in the back so I walk to him.

- Hey, congrats for your victory – I congratulated him – I’m sure you will enter in U.A. - I said trying to cheer him up.

- Oh, yeah – He said without his usual cheerful tone – Thanks, I’m sure you will enter too – He replied with a little smile.

I didn’t know what else to say so I just stay there by his side, I couldn’t tell him about Todoroki’s life, knowing the past and future do not by any chance allow me to talk about it, you can’t change the future for the sake of someone else. And it wasn’t my responsibility to tell Inasa about why Todoroki is like that, so full of hate. Even if I understand that kind of hate.

- Hey Inasa – I said carefully, trying to keep him distracted – What kind of hero you want to be?

- Uh? – I could see how he started to cheer himself up – I want to be an incredible hero that can do anything! – He said with his usual tone.

- I’m sure you will be so amazing – I replied with a soft smile.

- You’re not falling behind! The way you executed your quirk is way more practical than mine! I’m sure you could make it to the top! – He started talking with so much excitement.

I just smiled again with a little blush in my cheeks – Geez… - That was the only thing I could say at the moment – Do you tell this to every girl you meet? – I said with a flirty tone and a sly smile.

I could notice his sudden blush, it was so cute – O-Of course not! – Oh my, he stutters.

- Oh, my heart! It’s broken now – I said with a dramatic tone and putting my hands in my chest for more effect – I thought I was the only one for you – I keep saying with false tears.

- Pfff – That was the only thing he could say, he clearly wanted to burst of laugh – But you’re the only one – He continued with my theater.

- I think I will die from the pain in my heart, oh my Romeo why did you do this? – I said with more drama.

- Hahahaha! Why the Shakespearean line? – He said finally laughing.

- It was part of the act – I replied confidently putting my hands in my waist.

- Maybe you should try being an actress instead – He replied with a big smile.

- Maybe in another life, I would be the best actress in the world – I said without concern.

- Well, then in my other life I promise to be your biggest fan – He said with the biggest goofy smile I ever see. I blush so hard I thought he would notice for sure.

It was a nice feeling that another person promises to remember you in some way in his other life, even when that’s almost impossible to happen. But still, it felt good.

After that, we finish with some other practice tests and fortunately, I get into the top 5 best ranking, with everything done they let us free.

I was waiting for Inasa outside after picking up my stuff when I saw Todoroki already leaving. I approach him.

- Hey Ice King! – He just turns his head in my direction – We didn’t really talk but I wanted to tell you that your workout was really good – I said with honesty.

- I didn’t ask your opinion – He simply said resuming his way.

I couldn’t stop myself – You should tell your father – He looked at me for a moment – You should tell him how good you did it, even with half of your power you did great, I'm sure he would be proud no matter what – I stopped myself there, he blinked at me like he was trying to say something – Well, that’s everything I wanted to say, sorry for bothering you – And with that I just run to my place to keep waiting for Inasa, talking with Todoroki really make me feel uncomfortable. I turn my head around and saw how he looked at me for a while and then he just walked again.

I sighed, the thing with Todoroki really make me feel bad for him because he just needed help. I sighed again.

- Arie! – Someone said my name, I turned around and saw Momo leaving the building – I’m glad I caught you –

- Oh? Does something happen? – I asked.

- No, nothing! I just wanted to wish you good luck and I hope we can enter together in U.A. - She said with a cute smile.

- That would be nice, I would have a friend – I replied with a big smile.

- Me too! – She said with excitement – I have to leave already but I hope to see you again –

- Me too, take care Momo – I said with a little sad tone leaving my mouth, she was a really good girl and if she didn’t get in I would miss her.

- Bye Bye! – She finally said leaving the school.

I smiled at the distance until now everyone seems to be a good person, I’m sure this school is going to be full of good memories. Saying that I bent toward the ground touching it with my hand, I started to use Clairvoyance again and I could see all the memories this school would make from now on. I was worried about this but in the end, I could only smile to me, now I understand better the memories of Todoroki. This school, the students, everyone is surely interesting. Now I understand why Governor asks me to see the future, she wants me to see the things coming from now. Even if I knew everything that’s going to happen that didn’t stop the feeling inside of me. The excitement and the desire to see how everyone is going to react. I have never been more excited to see what’s going to happen next, it’s kind of like being the public watching a big movie but having a role in all of this. It’s thrilling.

- Sorry to keep you waiting! – Finally, Inasa left the building.

- Don’t worry, it wasn’t that much – I simply said.

- I have so many emotions inside of me and I can’t help to feel excited about it! – He said in his now usual way.

- When you’re not excited about something? – I said giggling a little.

- It’s just my natural self! – He replied like usual without caring if people gave him weird looks.

- And that’s how I like you – I confess.

- I like you too! – He replied with emotion.

- I know – I said with a smile.

- Let me walk you to the station! – He offered with his big smile.

- Oh sorry, I not heading there – I quickly apologize – I have something to do first –

- I can accompany you – He said giving me a thumbs up.

- It’s not necessary, really – I reply – I don’t want to deviate you –

- Are you sure? It’s getting late, you should not be outside alone –

- It’s fine! Really – I said putting my best smile – Also if I’m going to be a hero I have to be strong by myself! –

- Fine, fine, just be careful – He insisted.

- Yes! I promise –

He stretched forth his hand to me – I hope to see you again future hero –

I smiled – Just a shake of hands? Give me a hug you big guy! – I said jumping him and giving Inasa the biggest hug he ever had – I will miss you too – I simply said with a small blush.
I couldn’t see his face but he gladly return my hug, it felt like hugging a big bear. We separate slowly, he waves goodbye from the distance and with that, we finally went our own way.

I walk a few blocks away from U.A. and got inside a small cafeteria, inside of it were Morfeo and Iris drinking some coffee.

- Hey girls, what’s up? – I said sitting with them.

- If you talk like that Governor will get mad – Iris said with a cold tone.

- Happy to see you too Iris – I rolled my eyes.

- Good to see you! Arie, right? – She said.

- Yes, now I’m Arie Shirokosi – I said proud of myself – So? How was my workout today? Impressive right? –

- Well, I’m used to seeing you using all your quirks so I was not surprised – Morfeo said with a bored face.

- Not impressive – Iris said with his neutral face.

- Well, thanks for the support – I reply with frustration.

- But for the U.A. standards, you did pretty well – Morfeo continues talking like no one said anything.

- You impress them for sure – Iris said.

- Geez… I never know when you two are complimenting me – I said frustrated.

- It’s nice to see you after being in America for so long – Morfeo said with a little smile.

- Yes, it’s nice – Iris repeat.

- It’s good to see you two again, talking through the communicator it’s not the same as in person – The two smiled at me, even after all this time we were good friends, we trained together in the same class inside the Base so we are really close to each other.

- By the way, I never saw or felt your presences in U.A. – I said asking them.

- We used Archie’s quirk to watch everything through a mirror so the U.A. security wouldn’t catch us – Morfeo reply. Iris only nodded while taking a sip of his coffee.

- Oh – I simply said.

Their cellphones stamped – It’s Governor – Morfeo said watching the screen.

- It’s about the other mission – Iris reply.

- Other mission? – I asked – What is it? –

- Nothing really important, it’s about some lame attempt of villains – Morfeo said with a weird face, like if his own words didn’t convince her.

- Governor wants us to find information and keep an eye on them – Iris said looking strangely unwilling.

- Need help? – I offered myself to help.

- No, it’s okay – Morfeo quickly respond – Governor doesn’t want you to get involucrate, not with the whole U.A. thing –

- Just that – Iris reply.

- Okay…? – I said not very convinced.

- We’re going now – Morfeo stand up – We will see you around –

- We will miss you – Iris said with a sad face.

- Me too, see you around then – I said hugging both of them.

- We will keep in contact – Morfeo reassured.

- Take care – I said watching them going out of the cafeteria. Feeling a little bit uneasy and lonely at the same time I went straight ahead to my apartment.

Something felt off, but I tried to ignore the feeling. I trust Governor, she has everything in control. I came home without much inconvenience and went right to sleep the moment I touched my bed.
