It had been a long day for Kirishima. Too many customers came in asking for bouquets of exquisite flowers or heavy pots of plants. It was half past noon and he was ready for a break. No one usually came in around lunch, most people were out with friends or significant others. Kirishama sighed, sadly, he was single. His best friend, Denki Kaminari, has tried to set him up on multiple dates, but he wasn’t interested in any of them. None of them were manly enough for him. Kirishima walked up to the door, flipped the sign to say closed, and walked to sit on top of the counter. He pulled out his phone and earbuds from his pocket and pressed shuffle on his playlist of super manly songs.
As Anaconda by Nicki Minaj starts blasting in his ears, Kirishima feels a burning sensation all over his body. It started at his neck, but quickly traveled to his hands and feet. Not knowing where it came from, Kirishima thought he was sick and if he wasn’t something was definitely wrong with him. ‘Maybe I’m just over-reacting, it was probably nothing.,’ Kirishima thinks to himself. A couple minutes pass by and the burning feeling is still there. He gets off the counter and quickly looks around. He doesn’t see anyone in the shop or outside of it.
As he is scanning the outside of the shop, Kirishima sees a blonde-haired male sitting in the café across from the floral shop. Once they make eye contact, Kirishima sees the stranger’s cheeks grow darker and he looks away, quickly breaking their stare. The red head paused. Who was staring at him? More importantly, why?
‘Maybe its just an old customer. Yeah, he probably recognized me and was trying to remember who I was. Or maybe he wasn’t even staring at me and was just dozing off. Oh god, did I make it awkward?’ As thoughts kept rushing in his head, an angry blonde was blushing like crazy in the window of a local café.
‘Shit, did that stupid redhead see me staring? I mean how could I not stare with his stupid red hair, and smooth tan skin, and perfectly built body. Stop it Bakugo! Stop thinking about that shitty hair.’ The frustrated male sighed while grabbing his black coffee, and stood up too leave. With one last look at the smiling boy across the way, Bakugo walked home with a light blush on his cheeks.
~ Time Skip ~
It’s been a couple of weeks since Kirishima caught the spikey haired blonde watching him. He almost forgot about it until today, when he heard the little bell above the door ring. He was stuck in the back carrying a heavy box, so he called out to the customer telling them he would be with them in a second. Kirishima placed the box down and dusted his hands off on his apron. As he stepped out from behind the door, the smiling boy paused. There he was, in all his glory; the ash blonde boy who was staring at Kirishima in side of his store, looking at some hanging potted plants. If Kirishima was holding anything, he would have definitely dropped it.
As his brain was catching up to him, he cleared his through and caught the attention of the unknown male. It seems that once the blonde saw Kirishima, he paused as well. His face went slack and soon after, a bit a red dusted his cheeks. Kirishima giggled at the sight before him.
“Hello! My name is Kirishima Eijiro. How can I help you?” Kirishima asks with a big smile on his face, his sharp teeth flashing in the sunlight. It had seemed that the other boy’s thoughts had caught up with him for his eyebrows narrowed and a scowl was plastered on his face. He crossed his arms and looked Kirishima up and down making him feel uncomfortable. The blonde grunted and took a step towards Kirishima.
“Bakugo Katsuki. I just wanted to buy a small plant for my stupid dad for his fucking birthday,” the angry blonde replied. Kirishima nodded and walked behind the counter.
“So, you have an idea what kind of plant? Maybe a succulent or a zebra plant? They are both easy to care for and great gifts!” he said with a grin on his face. Bakugo scowled and grunted towards the spikey red. He thought it over for a second while looking out the window. This gave Kirishima some time to really look at the male in front of him. He had ashy blonde hair, crimson eyes, fair skin, perfect jawline, and an incredible body according to the manliest of men, Kirishima himself.
The blonde coughed and shook Kirishima out of his daze. He had been caught staring at the piece of artwork in front of him! Kirishima blushed a deep red, almost the same color as his hair. Bakugo let out a small chuckle with a tiny smile that made Kirishima smile even wider. Once the moment was over, Bakugo was back to frowning.
“I’ll take a zebra plant. How much?” he asked. Kirishima nodded and walked over to the cashier. He typed it in and replied with 12 dollars. Bakugo nodded and handed Kirishima ten and two ones. Kirishima grabbed the plant, wrapped a blue bow around the pot, and handed it too Bakugo. Kirishima waved goodbye as Bakugo left the store.
Kirishima sighed. Oh, how he hoped he would see Bakugo again, that man was too beautiful for his own good. Kirishima walked to where Bakugo placed the money on the counter. He counted the money, but as he did so, a piece of paper fell out onto the ground. Kirishima bent down a picked it up. He unfolded it and read the note that was quickly written across it.
“Hey, you’re kinda cute. Here’s my number if you want it Shitty Hair.
