Work Text:
She was as beautiful as the music pulsing through the crowd. She was a light on the shadowed dancefloor, drawing him in as if he was a moth and her the flame. She seemed to float; jumping, swaying, dark hair flying. Her eyes closed as she listened to the music. Arms raised up above her head she danced, though one hand had found its way onto Denki’s chest since the moment they’d been pushed together, feeling the hard ‘bang, bang, bang’ of his heart through his shirt.
Who would have thought he’d find someone like her at a no-name club in Roppongi?
Her eyes opened, smile slowly taking over her face as she looked up at Kaminari. She was stunning when she smiled. But, then again, he would bet good money on her being just as beautiful angry or crying or just... existing.
“What’s your name?” He yelled over the crowd, over the music.
The girl just smiled wider, shaking her head.
Kaminari laughed, feeling too much good energy to feel the sting of rejection in his chest at her refusal. If she didn’t want to tell him her name, he would just soak up as much of the girl as she would let him before the night ended.
The song changed to something slower. The girls arm curled around his neck, her body pressing against his as the crowd turned from breakneck speeds to a pulsing heartbeat. He felt soft curves under her leather jacket, knew now that she fit perfectly into his arms.
Their eyes connected, smiles shared.
Yeah. He’d soak up as much of her as he could tonight.
Because he knew he had just fallen in love with a no-name girl in a no-name club after only one dance.
He was definitely an idiot.
And he wouldn’t change it if it saved the world.
