Teasing a Warlord

Summary:

Mitsuhide is always the tease, but what if, he's the one being teased?

Notes:

It's about time I make one with Mitsuhide because dear god, tease me and punish me all night. Here's to fill up that craving like I have for that damned silver fox.

This can be read either with reader or MC as a pairing.

Work Text:

I was running back to camp after I unluckily bumped into one of Kennyo's men.  Nobunaga would have laughed if he saw this and still call me lucky regardless. It was annoying how he thought I was oh so lucky when really I just have bad timing!

A shot rang, making me freeze out of fear.  I heard a terrifying yell and a body hit the ground behind me.  When I saw Mitsuhide and his men up ahead, I ran up the hill. As luck would have it, the shurikens and knives Kennyo's men had thrown missed.  Each one after another embedded into the ground with thunks that made me run even faster.

Mitsuhide grabbed me as I got close enough and pulled me behind him just in time to use his katana to block several projectiles.

I tried to catch my breath hard in relief and exhaustion.  These guys were crazy! "I'm...sure am glad....to see you Mitsuhide."

"Cover your ears."

I did so right before he ordered his men to shoot in unison.

---

Nobunaga laughed back in camp after he heard what happened.  "Ha! I never expected less of my lucky item."

Mitsuhide smirked, going along with it.  "It was as if she had a barrier of fate behind her."

"You two....!  I was almost killed!"  I really shouldn't have bothered but it was also fun in a way to respond back to them.  I frowned and sulked behind Mitsuhide.

Nobunaga chuckled.  "Very good, Mitsuhide.  Your attack showed that they can't surprise us so easily."

"Thank you, my lord."

He looked over at me.  "You have done well too, baiting them out."

"That...wasn't my intention at all."

Hideyoshi coughed, hinting at me to just accept the compliment either way.  I sent him a deadpanned look and I got an angry frown back when I did nothing to accept Nobunaga's praise.

"Hideyoshi," started Nobunaga.

Hideyoshi turned away and I swore I saw a tail wag as he smiled at Nobunaga before forward, taking Mitsuhide's spot.  "Yes, my lord?"

"Here we go...."  Before I realized I mumbled it out loud, I heard Mitsuhide chuckle.  Such a sound should be a crime!

"Already tired of seeing it?"

Might as well be honest, I could never hide anything from this guy even if I tried.  He even fooled Hideyoshi! "...Yes."

His chuckle did things to me that I wish I could shove down. I felt my face hot and tried to wipe my brow of fake sweat.

"...Are you overheated?"

Now that was a surprise, usually he would make fun of me or notice I was faking it.

"N-No I'm fine."  I tried to give him a smile as if to hide it, hoping my luck would be on my side.

He let out a suspicious, "...Hmmm."

Crap, crap!  Come on luck, work with me here, not just on the battlefield!

"Follow me."

No no no, that's a trap!  But no matter what I told myself, my feet betrayed me.  I followed until we were at the tent where they kept healing and Ieyasu was in charge.

"Really, I'm fine.  Thank you though - "  A cold rag was handed to me.  "...Um?"

"Ieyasu, make sure to check her thoroughly."

Ieyasu sighed and looked to the side in annoyance.  "Stop teasing her, I want no part in this."

"Yeah I'm really fine!  No sweat!"

"Oh?"  Mitsuhide smirked knowingly.

Crap.  I just realized he figured out why I was blushing.  "Um..."

"Just leave you two, quit crowding the entrance and leave the oxygen for the rest who need it to heal."

I took that chance to leave, hearing Mitsuhide tease Ieyasu some more before I nearly smacked into Masamune.

"Whoa there lass.  What's got you in a rush?"

"A year's worth of teasing."

He looked behind me and nodded in acknowledgement - and probably pity?  "Hm, let's have some fun of our own then, just to rile him up as payback."

I blinked and before I could get away, he pulled me into his arms to embrace me.  "Masamune, what are you doing?!" I hissed out though also enjoying it, just a little.

"Hurry and push me, he's looking."

If I could give an award to number one wingman, it would be Masamune.  I pushed him and nearly slapped him in the process but managed to glare at him.

"Masamune."

I tensed automatically without even needing to act.  That sounded cold even from here, but what was more scary was that he still had that playful tone to it.

Masamune just grinned wildly.  "Wanna fight, Mitsuhide?" He was already drawing his katana from his scabbard!

"Please don't, you idiot eyepatched battle maniac," quipped Ieyasu as he walked by to give a report to Nobunaga.

Mitsuhide let out an amused laugh but his eyes were hard.  "I prefer to not waste energy when a certain someone has been skipping responsibility of cooking to flirt instead.  Your scouts are also doing their job more than you, Date Masamune."

Ouch.  I was worried on how this would end, but Masamune just laughed as if it rolled off his back.

"If you were that hungry, Mitsuhide, just say so."  Sending a knowing wink - that was more flirty than it should - my way, he waved as he left.

I felt nervous and also kinda happy at the same time that I didn't know what to do with my hands.  "Oh, I still need to finish that kimono-" A finger on my chin pushed my head up to stare into those yellow eyes that made me shiver.  But when and how did he get in front of me?!

"Do you let anyone touch you?"

"No."  I wanted to push him away to prove a point but I mostly didn't want to.

"Just me then?"

"No."  What were we talking about again?  His deep voice, eyes, and handsome looks were distracting me.

He pulled me behind the large tent after he noticed a group of soldiers come near.  I grabbed the fabrics of his sleeves to steady myself.

"Which is it?" he teased.

"Which is what?"

"Hmm."  Mitsuhide smirked.  "Shall I kiss you to make you pay attention?"

"What?!"  The foggy feeling in my head vanished but my blush didn't go away.  I started to push him away and squirm but it wasn't at all serious.

"You pulled down a running man no problem.  So where has your strength gone too, I wonder?"  He brushed my cheek as his other hand held onto the back of my waist.  His eyes narrowed after I did nothing to deny him.

"I will kiss you if you don't deny it."

"...I don't deny it."  My breath came out hot.

Mitsuhide wasted no time with his promise.  He kissed me hotly without hesitation, holding me up against him with both of his hands now on my back.  I reached up to wrap my arms around his neck and I kissed him back with relief and joy. I didn't bother to hold back my feelings for him, pouring them in each kiss that I gave to him.

We pulled away, our hot breaths mingling as he looked down at me.  My heart fluttered. Did that kiss really happen? He left no time for me to think as he kissed me again, though this time a little rougher that I moaned against his lips.  "Mitsuhide..."

"To think that you were naive, playing along with Masamune."

I wasn't surprised that he figured it out.  "It was his idea. He gave me no time to get away."

"Hmm, how to punish you for going along with it?"

"You - I don't want to hear that from you, Mitsuhide!"  I glared at him, but it did nothing. He already knew how I felt based on my actions minutes ago.

"So you acknowledge what you have done?"

"It doesn't seem all that justified coming from you.  You tease me all the time! More so than everyone else combined."

"Kept count, have you?  You really do like me."

"What - how could you twist it that way?  You're the one who really likes me."

"So you kiss just any man in a way?  Or woman, if you're like that too."

"N-No-Now hold on!"

"Nothing to be ashamed about.  Much as I like to tease you more, this is going no where and the battle will soon begin."

Having enough of his smug grin, I pulled him down and kissed him.  It wasn't chaste, or gentle. I kissed him with everything I had, not holding back with the annoyance I felt to his teasings, to the love I had towards him.

When I pulled back and broke the kiss, I glared up at him playfully.   Seeing him surprised with wide eyes made me happy and feel a little smug myself.  "That kiss is only for you because I love you." The way his eyes widened more and hearing him intake a sharp breath made me giddy.

Mitsuhide was speechless for once and there on his cheeks was a faint color of red.  I didn't want to tease him because dammit he looked sexy and cute at the same time!

Finally, he chuckled and the way he looked at me filled me with hope.  "You really are something. I expected you to give in to my teasing, but to outdo me by being serious?  Good girl. You really are the only one for me."

Mitsuhide kissed me without giving room for me to register his words entirely, but I didn't care.  I could feel what he was putting into the kiss. Love, need, want, they were all in there.

---

"Oh?  Lass, you have a hickey on your neck."

I had tried to hide it with my hair, but Mitsuhide had chosen a spot, of all spots, to make one.  It was purple and red.

Ieyasu sighed.  "Disgusting."

Mitsunari was confused, "Is that a bug bite?"

Masamune wrapped an arm around Mitsunari shoulders.  "No, it's a bug repellent."

Ieyasu wasted no time to reply to his joke.  "From idiots with an eyepatch."
