“You know you don’t have to agree to this, right?’
Jimin tilted his head to the side, gazing out into the city below from the large window in his room, “Yeah... I know..” he paused, “But I want to..”
A sigh escaped from his lips of the man seated next to him, “I just-” pause, “You haven’t seen him in.. so long Min.. are you absolutely sure about this?”
“I want to see him again, Jin” Jimin whispered, “It’s time..”
“If this is what you want,” Jin sighed, “Then I support you.” Jin looked over at his friend who sat huddled into a chair facing the window as he stood, getting ready to walk away. His knees were pulled into his chest, his hands tucked securely in the large sweater he wore, his face bearing no expression.
Ever since they had gotten the news days earlier, Jimin had become unreadable, and Jin hated it. The only other time he can recall Jimin acting like this was years ago… after everything had happened. He would be lying if he said he wasn’t nervous about what was going to come, but he had to be there for Jimin regardless. None of it will be easy. Standing up, Jin softly tapped Jimin’s shoulder as he walked towards the door and out of the room.
Jimin didn’t know much more time he spent sitting and looking down at the city around him. The city that held both his best and worst memories. The city he ran away from so many moons ago. The city he has now returned to, only to revisit the parts of himself he tried his best to move on from.
But a promise was made in that dorm room all that time ago. A promise that one day there will be a moment, just like then, where the two hearts could be with each other again. Maybe not in the same way as it had been before, maybe not feeling the same feelings.
But they would just exist with each other once more.

Yoongi sat in his studio, more just staring off into space than actually doing the work in front of him. He turned his head slightly as the door opened gently, revealing his friend, who started making his way over to the open chair next to him.
“I heard the proposal was accepted,” Namjoon announced as he sat down next to Yoongi, “I guess that means it’s actually happening then?”
Yoongi only hummed in response, turning his gaze back to the wall in front of him, leaving the room in a knowing silence. Neither of them knew how to address the topic further.
“Can I ask a question?” Namjoon asked softly, furrowing his eyebrows as he looked up at the side of his friend’s face.
“Go ahead.”
“Out of all the artists you could’ve picked,” He started, Yoongi already knowing where he was going with it, “Why’d you choose him?”
Yoongi’s lips pulled into a tight smile as he looked over at his friend from the corner of his eye, “He’s an amazing singer, why wouldn’t I?”
“You know that’s not what I mean, Yoongi..” Namjoon pressed, “You know you won’t be able to back out of it once the news is announced.”
“I know.”
“So you’re ready to see him again?”
Silence.
“No. Not at all.”
“Then why-”
“Do you remember what you told me that night?” Yoongi whispered, leaning his head against his chair, looking up at the ceiling, as if he could see the sky.
“Vaguely, which part are you talking about?” Namjoon asked warily, a knot forming in his stomach as he recalled the night everything happened. A time they hadn’t spoken about in the 3 years.
“You told me that it wasn’t my fault, you said no one was to blame. That things like this happened. Do you remember what you said after?”
“Assume that I don’t,” Namjoon responded in a calm voice. If anyone, Namjoon knew how hard Yoongi tried to suppress the memories from that night. He puts on an act for the rest of the world, but he saw how Yoongi was behind closed doors.
Yoongi wrung his hands together in his lap, continuing, “It’s the only thing that has given me some sort of hope over the years..”
“What did I say?”
“You said-”
