Chapter Text
“What do you mean this is your house” exclaimed Jungkook standing outside house number 613.
“I mean that this is my house, as in I signed the paperwork and bought this house. The deed is under my name” said Jin with frustration looking at the cute boy with big eyes and soft curls who clearly looked angry.
Jin was minding his own business, already exhausted from the many surgeries he had to do today and coming home all he wanted to do was prepare food and binge watch some friends. He was getting ready to start on dinner when his doorbell rang and that’s when all this started.
“That makes no sense when the deed is clearly under my name. I bought the house as in I paid for it “ retorted Jungkook shoving the deed into Jin’s face.
Jin took the folder expecting to find the deed to be a mistake or a prank. Kids these days loved to prank others just for the fun of it but to Jin’s shock the deed that he was holding had Jungkook’s name neatly printed on it.
“Hold up” Jin said shutting the door on Jungkook’s face causing Jungkook to start yelling and knocking on his door. More like banging on his door, well their door if going by technicalities.
He ran up the stairs to get the deed that had his name on it and it was the exact same as Jungkook’s, except for their names. Opening up the door he looked at Jungkook who was seething with anger, and if he had met him on any other day he would totally try to get his number. He was attractive and there was no doubt about that but now was not the time to dwell on whether his potential enemy, yes potential enemy since he was trying to steal Jin’s house, was attractive or not.
“Here look at this, this is my deed and it says its under my name” Jin held the folder up so Jungkook could see his name printed on it.
“Bullshit, what if its fake” said Jungkook anger still evident in his eyes.
“Okay I’ve had enough of your rudeness, you know what, lets go to the lawyer tomorrow and see which one is fake, now leave” yelled Jin his face turning red. This was not good for his face he had a reputation as the most handsome and now he had to do a whole face mask at night for his face to stay wrinkle free and fresh.
Just as Jin shut the door, one of Jungkook’s long legs shot out stopping the door from closing.
“I’m staying here, technically this is my house too and its late “ Jungkook reasoned as he made his way inside.
At this point Jin was too tired to argue with him and just let him be. After all he wasn’t that unreasonable to let the boy sleep outside. It was his rudeness and his ignorance of mannerisms that irked Jungkook.
“I’m making dinner if you want to eat show up, if you don’t well fine by me.” Jin stated as he got to work in the kitchen. Finely dicing the onions, marinating the ribs and making the rice.
To Jin’s surprise Jungkook did show up at the table and actually looked eager to eat. He looked incredibly soft even though he saw bits of ink peek from his collarbones and his wrists. Contrary to the popular belief that tattoos gave someone a ‘bad boy’ image, on Jungkook they had the opposite effect.
“Um Jin shi , do you mind if I use my laptop at the table at least until the food is ready” said Jungkook softly, a huge contrast to how he was speaking before.
Jin was surprised that Jungkook had asked him politely even though before he had been yelling and cursing, he liked polite jungkook way more than rude jungkook.
“Call me hyung brat, and that’s fine by me” answered Jin starting on the kimchi jiggae.
While Jungkook’s eyes were glued to his laptop , Jin took his time to really look at Jungkook. His softly curled hair with slight brown highlights fell lightly on top of his eyes but not quite covering them. His eyes sparkled like small stars and they could be comparable to a galaxy. His lips looked pink and soft and Jin wondered how they would feel if he took his thumb and swiped his lips. Jin noticed that on his cheek there was a scar but it just added to his attractiveness. His ears were pierced with three earrings in each ear and at a closer look he saw a double helix glinting. As he was studying him, Jungkook suddenly looked up at him causing their eyes to met.
Flustered, Jin looked away finishing making the food and started bringing it to the table as Jungkook put his laptop and folders away before joining Jin back at the table. They ate in silence but thankfully the silence wasn’t awkward and they didn’t need to talk to fill in the awkward silence.
“Thanks Hyung, the food was great” said Jungkook as he got up and placed the dishes in the sink walking back to the guest room.
“Don’t forget that tomorrow we are going to the lawyer. Be up at 8” shouted Jin, hearing a small “hmmm “from the younger.
Both managed to reach the lawyer's office without any argument, the morning was going well, they left the house in silent and without arguing but Jin had an ominous feeling, it was going a little too well.
“Mr.Kim and Mr. Jeon please come inside” came the voice of the lawyer.
They made their way inside anticipating what the lawyer had to say as he looked at both of their deeds.
“Unfortunately, these deeds are not a mistake nor are they fake, both are very real. The house that you guys now see was built as two houses and they had two owners. When the two houses were combined the owners decided to keep it that way and have one part of the house under one’s name and the other part under the other’s name. If you don’t want that, one of you can transfer their part to the other and they can find another house. We will help you find another house” informed the agent to their shock.
“I’m not leaving the house, I was there first. If anyone is leaving then its you” expressed Jin pointing towards Jungkook.
“No I’m not, I still bought the house and I still own it so there is no way I’m leaving and transferring my part to you” shouted Jungkook.
“Gentleman why don’t you live together” stated the lawyer trying to stop the two from fighting.
“No way” they both yelled in unison.
“ I was kind enough to let you live there one night but I’m not letting you live with me” Jin huffed clearly upset with this situation. Why did he have to leave, he was the first one to live in the house so clearly Jungkook should leave.
“I don’t want to live with you either” Jungkook said crossing his arms.
“Great then leave the house and transfer your part to me and we’ll call it a day” said Jin as he looked at Jungkook trying to burn a hole through the others ridiculous white t-shirt.
“No no no, you’re not getting rid of me this easily, I'm not leaving this house” Jungkook smirked looking at Jin.
“Fine let’s live together but you don’t talk to me, I don’t talk to you. You have one side of the house and I will use the other side. We share nothing, other than the laundry room. “ said Jin since they were clearly getting nowhere with this argument and Jin's head was beginning to hurt. He was right about the ominous feeling, the morning was going a little too well.
“Fine as long as we don’t talk to each other we’re good” said Jungkook following Jin out of the lawyer’s office.
The lawyer looked at their retreating backs clearly baffled and unsure about what just happened.
