Chapter Text
The laughter of the two happy people was heard by numerous passerby as they walk past the recently built playground of the village. Some were quite perplexed as the two were a bit too loud for their liking and there were also some that were infected by their jolly mood.
The children in the park couldn't help but throw glances at their way. After all, they do not get to witness a grown man and a grown woman having more fun than the children in a playground.
The two cannot completely ignore the stares and weirded out looks that they were receiving but they chose to pretend that they did. It was unusual for them to spend time together, even more so when they spend time together outside instead of behind closed doors.
"I still don't get why I have to be the one you keep hidden," the female murmured under her breath. The two sat down on the old wooden bench before she places her head on his shoulders.
"It's just for a little longer, love... I'm sure you know how much I despise having to do this when it's you that I really want and not that..." The male replied as he shifts in his seat, shuddering as if he was horrified with what was just mentioned.
"Why do you have to keep doing this? Can't you just dump that... Jungkook guy already?" She asked with a pout on her lips while drawing imaginary circles on his clothed chest.
"The bet was to date him and see how long it will last before he dumps me. For every week that we date then the rest of the boys give me ten dollars-"
The male was not able to finish his sentence since he felt someone pull him back by his collar and then something landed hard on the center of his face, making him stumble and letting him see stars. Before he knew it, his face was targeted again that made him fall down. It was followed by a high pitched scream and rapid footsteps all around. Unfortunately, the blows that landed on him made it difficult to focus.
With whatever energy he had left, he looked up and tried to focus on the person who delivered the punches to his face. He saw a face that is so familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time.
The face that was normally occupied by sparkling eyes and a boxy grin was now displaying a pair of eyes filled with fury that's sending dark glares towards him and his lips were pressed together into a thin line.
Behind him was yet another familiar yet unfamiliar face. The person whose face always seem so happy with a bunny smile decorating his face was now darting his eyes between the two of them. He was biting his quivering lower lip while trying to stop the salty tears from running down his face.
"How about for every week that you have been comparable to the trash I give you a punch in the face?" The man who was still on the floor felt shivers run down his spine as he listens to that deep voice that went impossibly deeper threaten him. He heard someone running away and he knew that it was the girl he was with. That made him curse both the girl and the pair in front of him in his mind as he attempts to stand up. Too bad for him, the other male has no plans of letting him up so easily as he pushed him back down.
"Tae, please... Don't do this..." The other male who was standing pleaded softly, making Taehyung glance back to him with a frown on his face. Taehyung silently asked the reason why he wouldn't let him do this after what they just found out.
"Kookie, listen to me, baby. I was just messing around with her-" He was cut off once again. This time, it was by words that felt like ice-cold water poured over him.
"Let me do it myself."
