Work Text:

What had you done.

The whole thing started years ago, when you, a silly young enchantress had gotten angry at the young prince Yoongi. You had decided to put this young, foolish and petty prince to the test: seeing the true beauty found within. So you'd disguised yourself as an ugly, old woman, going up to his castle at midnight.

When the poor, frightened child opened the door, you had thought that this would be great fun. But when he had refused you shelter three times, you felt a strange, powerful anger growing in you. You threw down the rose you had offered him, and your disguise melted away. The terrified look he gave you when you cursed him still haunted you to this day.

You didn’t remember the spell you’d used, but as soon as you uttered the words for the curse, you'd instantly regretted them. But the damage had been done. You were unable to lift the curse. Now grown up, you had decided to pay another visit to the prince, now the Beast, to see if he had changed.

And now you had fallen in love.

Why had you been dancing with the Beast? You couldn't believe yourself. Why had you come back? You had known it wouldn't end well. Maybe it was the guilt you felt for imprisoning him in your horrible curse. But now, after you had seen his true self, not the silly young boy or the harsh, mean Beast you had known before, you had fallen in love.

And it had scared you so badly that you had made the enchanted mirror show a scene of an old man who really wasn't your father, just to get away.

As you rode from the castle, you cried. Cried the hardest you'd ever cried. You'd deceived him into believing that there was a chance for him to be a human again. And now you had made it worse for both of you.

As you rode away, you heard his voice one last time. He cried out one word, screaming it, wailing it, one last desperate attempt to let you know that he loved you.

"(Y/N)!"

His voice echoed through the dark woods and hills, making you cry even harder. Your heart ached to be with him, but it was better this way.

You had broken his heart. And now you were locked in a cellar with an old man you'd never known, as the most evil man you'd ever met set off to kill the only love you'd ever have. You beat on the windows, crying and trying to get out. Gaston had taken your wand, which you had disguised as a mirror. He had been right in calling it a magic mirror when he had taken it.

You had no way to get out of the cellar; the windows were too thick to break, and you couldn’t do magic without your wand. Then the man you'd only seen in the Beast’s mirror called to you.

"(Y/N), honey, we'll get out somehow. We'll think of something." He'd tried to hug you, and you felt so alone and scared that you'd let him. Then you realized you hadn't told him your name. When Gaston had rallied the people, hadn't they seemed to know you? How could this be?

You had finally managed to get out when Chip, the boy you’d transformed into a teacup, unleashed the old man's wood chopping invention on the door. Then you were racing on your horse Philippe to the castle, praying that you wouldn't be too late.

It started to storm. Rain fell in torrents, thunder and lightning crashing and rolling in the dark sky. When finally the castle came in sight, your heart leapt to your mouth.

" Beast! "

The strangled cry flew from your lips as you saw him up on the castle roof. Gaston was standing over him, a club raised.

He looked down at you.

You heard the hope and love and disbelief in his voice when he called "(Y/N)?"

You urged Philippe forward, hoping that you could get up to the West Wing before it was too late.

Once inside the castle, you ran up the staircase, unsheathing your knife that you kept hidden at your thigh. You weren't about to let Gaston kill your only love. You burst into the West Wing, nearly tripping over the broken and destroyed things scattered on the floor. You ran to the balcony, and yelled "Beast!"

He turned.

"(Y/N)!" he breathed.

Gaston saw his opening and swung his club, connecting with the Beast's side. He roared in pain, and you almost jumped off the balcony when a voice stopped you.

"Hello, (Y/N)."

You spun around, your knife at ready. A woman was standing in the doorway, a dark hood keeping her face in the shadows.

"Who are you? How did you know my name?" You asked, your heart in your throat.

The woman reached up and pushed back her hood. She was beautiful, but in a frightening way. Her steely eyes bored into your brain, and you felt small and helpless.

"I know many things, (Y/N). Your teacher was very...cooperative. Very willing to tell all about his star pupil."

You almost choked with fear.

"Who are you?" You repeated.

The woman smiled coldly.

"I am the one behind the curse on the Beast."

You gasped.

"It was you? But...I cast the spell. How could you be behind it?"

The woman cackled.

"I was the one who influenced you to curse him."

Your heart stopped. You remembered the strange anger, how it filled you and clouded your mind. It would explain why you counselor remember the curse you had used.

"What are you doing here then?"

Your voice wavered, and the Enchantress laughed.

"To see that my work wasn't wasted."

You turned to the rose. To your horror, you only saw three petals left.

Down on the roof, you could hear the battle raging. You heard the Beast yell with pain.

You flinched.

"Why do you want him to be a Beast forever?"

The Enchantress smiled.

"Because then he will not be able to continue to rule. I will take over the throne, and keep him in the dungeon, where he belongs."

You fought back a wave of bile .

Your Beast? In a dungeon? Forever?

Your jaw hardened.

"I should kill you."

The Enchantress laughed, and outside, you heard a roar.

You dashed to the edge of the balcony, in time to see Gaston standing over the Beast, readying his final blow. You stood, speechless with fear. Then the Enchantress said "It's your choice now. Either kill me," she scoffed, "Or let your Beast be killed."

Your brain screamed to kill the witch, but your heart pulled you the other way. And before you realized what you were doing, you had leaped off the edge of the balcony, into the pouring rain. You screamed, and Gaston looked up.

The last thing he saw was you, falling at him, knife raised and his death in your eyes. Youslashed your knife downwards, slicing a deep cut on his arm, and as he stared down at it, you kicked him in the chest. He flew backwards, off the roof, and fell screaming to his death.

You dropped the knife, and with tears in your eyes, rushed to the Beast's side, falling to your knees next to him. The rain pelted down, soaking his fur and your hair and both of your clothes. Wounds were all over him from the fight with Gaston. With difficulty breathing, he opened his eyes.

"(Y/N), you came back," he gasped.

Your heart breaking, you said "Of course I came back."

You heard a sound of breaking glass. You heard a maniacal laugh, and dread filled you.

The glass dome around the rose had shattered.

The Beast whispered "I love you, (Y/N)."

You clutched his wet fur. "I love you too, Beast."

A horrible shriek sounded up in the balcony, and a flash of light blinded you. You scrambled up the slippery roof, and saw nothing but the rose, all of its petals on the table amidst broken glass.

Behind you, the Beast gasped. You turned and leaped to his side. He was gasping, choking, suffocating. And there was nothing you could do.

"Beast!" You cried, and smoothed the fur on his face.

He whispered "I love you, (Y/N)."

And then he lay still, and breathed no more.

You bowed over his body, sobbing your heart out.

You had been too late.

And that's when the strangest thing happened.

The rain was glowing .

Then you scrambled backwards, scared to death.

He was glowing .

Amidst the light, his body began to lift, and his cape began to spin and twist around him. You watched, as far away from him as you could be, fascinated and terrified at the same time. There was a blinding flash of light. You looked away from the light, and when you turned back, you couldn't believe your eyes.

He wasn't the Beast anymore.

This was the boy you had transformed. Except older.

And hotter.

He was now the most handsome man you had ever laid eyes on.

Gorgeous black hair, smooth skin, lush lips, and holy HECK he looked good. The glow of light faded as he was lowered back down, still wrapped in the cape.

The light of the sunset cast a rosy pink and orange light across the rooftop you were on. He settled lightly on the stone roof, and the glow around him disappeared. Then his chest began to rise and fall. Your heart in your mouth, you watched him slowly stand up, the cape slipping from his shoulders, facing away from you. He held out his hands, turning them in the evening light.

And then he turned to you.

You caught your breath, eyes widening.

He rushed to you, and grasped your hands.

"I...(Y/N), it's...it’s me! Yoongi!" He gasped.

You reached up and touched his face, and his eyes stared into yours. Those familiar, warm dark eyes that you remembered so well.

"Yoongi! It is you!" You cried, and his lip trembled. He brushed your hair behind your ears with shaking hands. And then he leaned in and kissed you.

The world seemed to explode around you. All you were aware of were Yoongi's arms around you and his lips pressed against yours as you wound your arms around his neck, hands in his soft hair.

Cheering shattered the air as he let you down. You turned to the balcony to see the palace servants fully restored to their human bodies.

There was a great celebration that night. The week after was full. You and Yoongi were married, and there were many things in the kingdom that had to be looked after. It was a busy affair, but it was all worth it.

Because of Yoongi.

Notes:

Ahhhh… one of my favorites. DISNEY PRINCESS CROSSOVER WEEK *screams while falls off chair* Yoongi is first this week. I tried to pick the princess movie based off of the member’s personality and who I thought would fit best. So enjoy and comment what your favorite Disney princess movie is *^^*

(ALSO, did you know that in the movie Beauty and the Beast, the prince would have been only 11 years old when the enchantress cursed him? I’m sorry, but would you condemn an /11 year old child/ for refusing a /complete stranger/ lady shelter in his house? I’m not over this.)
