Jungkook stirred under his blanket, slowing waking up to Yoongi’s soft snores. It was just the two of them in bed and the younger assumed that Joonie must already be up and making breakfast or working out of his in-home office. It was a Saturday--and Koo couldn’t wait for Yoonie to wake up so that they could play outside. Leaning over the kissed the older boy’s cheek softly, knowing that was the calmest way to wake him up. Yoonie’s rather grumpy in the morning, and Koo is usually the one to wake him up.
Yoongi huffed out a breath of despair, the older of the pair wanting to sleep the entire day away. Opening his eyes slowly, he was met with his baby bunny, smiling softly and sweetly at him. “Yoonie, ’s Saturday.” Koo whispered, still wanting to wake the older boy up gently. “Koo wans’ to pway, but we can’t pway when you’re sweeping.”
Yoongi took in Jungkook’s words and nodded, the younger already seeming to be very set in little space. Koo always spoke so much more softly and childlike than Yoongi did, the younger easily slipping and feeling comfortable and safe quickly. For Yoongi, it took the older boy a little bit more coddling, affirmation, and support to slip, which Koo sweetly provided for him. The snuggles and soft forehead kisses usually did the trick--that paired with just listening to the younger talk. When both were little, they tended to whine and speak in third person, which both their daddy and hyungie swooned over.
Speaking of the two, Koo grew more curious of where their daddy could be. He smooched Yoongi once more on the cheek, which he finally heard a breathy giggle from the older. He was slowly starting to slip--and that made Koo giggle himself.
“Yoonie, Koo’s gonna go find daddy.”
Climbing out of bed, the younger found his pink pacifier and padded out of the room. He went slow down the stairs, holding onto the railing with one hand and gripping his paci in the other. Daddy always told him to run it under warm water before putting it in his mouth, saying that yucky germs were stuck to it, which made Koo pout. He definitely didn’t want yucky germies.
Finally making it to the bottom of the stairs, he listened for any sound of his daddy--whether he would be making their food in the kitchen or typing at his computer. With wide eyes the younger walked around the house, desperate to see his daddy--desperate to cling onto him and get sweet kisses pressed to his head. With tears in his eyes, he checked every room....daddy wasn’t home. He went to the front window and sure enough, daddy’s care was gone. Finally allowing himself to cry, Koo felt the tears dribbling down his cheeks.
Jungkook’s bottom lip jutted out and he made his way to the kitchen. He needed his paci in his mouth before he started to really cry. Finally getting it rinsed off, he stuck it in his mouth and instantly felt a bit calmer. The note on the fridge caught his eye, confirming his suspicions.
Yoonie & Koo -- I had to go into work this morning. Something came up and it couldn’t be done from home. If you’re feeling little and need your Jimin-hyungie, he’s just a call away. Call him if you need him, no matter what.
Daddy loves you both, so very much. I’ll be home tonight with dinner and cuddles and kisses for my sweet boys.
-- Joonie ♡
He made his way back upstairs with teary eyes and clutching the note, doing his best to be a big boy and control his crying. He wanted Yoonie to hold him and tell him it’ll be okay, but what he really wanted was for daddy to be home. Koo got back into the room where Yoonie was sitting up, clutching his kitty stuffie to his chest. He stood by the bed with his paci in his mouth and little socked feet turned inwards--he needed his Yoonie.
Climbing back into bed, he handed Yoongi the note. The younger snuggled up with his hyung, sniffling softly into his chest.
“Daddy’s at work, Yoonie.” The sentence was muffled around his pacifier, but the older understood what he had said. Yoongi himself hadn’t quite slipped yet, still feeling big for the most part. He rubbed at Jungkook’s head, soothing him and giving him a soft peck on the forehead.
“Kookie, do you want me to call hyungie? Would having him here make you feel better?” Yoongi spoke into the younger’s hair, but with a nod of the head, the older boy was quick to grab his phone from the nightstand.
Yoongi felt himself sigh in relief. He loved hyungie--just as much as Koo did. Although Jimin wasn’t technically Yoongi’s hyung, he still felt so incredibly safe with him, and the Jiminie treated Yoongi just as well as he treats the younger.
One day when Jiminie was over, taking care of the boys while Namjoon went grocery shopping, Yoongi finally voiced his thoughts. He wanted to call Jiminie ‘hyungie’, too. He felt so safe with him and he protects him--gives him cuddles and sweet kisses and love--and he makes him feel happy. Yoongi wants his hyungie, too.
With somewhat shaky, nervous hands, Yoongi hit his favorites list and tapped on the contact named ‘hyungie’ and pressed the button so it went to speaker. He felt himself slipping quickly, and he wanted Jimin there as soon as possible.
“Yoongi!” Jimin answered cheerfully. “What are you up to, cutie?”
The older boy took a deep, shaky breath before answering.
“H-hi Jiminie. Um, uh-- Koo’s wittle, and Yoonie ‘s too...can hyungie come over? Pwease?”
There was shuffling on the other end of the phone, sounds of Jimin doing something. “Yeah, baby, let me get my shoes on and I’ll be right over. Are you okay? You two didn’t get into any trouble did you?”
Kookie spoke up, words muffled behind his thumb, “No, hyungie. We jus’ want you.”
“Okay, sweetheart. Hyungie’s gonna stop and pick up some snacks for you two, okay? I’ll be over in a little. Try not to get into any trouble, boys. Kitten, are you okay to be in charge until I get there? Are you my big boy?”
Yoongi sniffled, feeling like he had finally slipped. “Yea,” another sniffle, “Yea, hyungie. I- I’ll be in charge.”
Jimin giggled at that. Yoongi is so incredibly cute when he’s feeling little. “Okay, baby. I’m on my way. Koo, make sure you give our kitten snuggles, okay?”
Kookie smiled and nodded, letting out a giggle along with his promise, “I will, hyungie. Huwwy!”
Jimin smiled to himself and hung up, rushing out the door. He was always excited to visit his two sweet babies. Big or little, he had always kept a small section of his heart reserved for them that he wasn’t sure could ever be filled by any other. And so, as anyone in his position would, he rushed to the store. There was absolutely no way he was going to see his babies without spoiling the hell out of them.
Taking care of his boys was arguably one of his favorite things to do--whether it was showering them in sweet kisses or praise, or buying them snacks and plushies. Namjoon sometimes found their incessant need for snacks, drinks, crafts, plushies, and toys hard to keep up with, but it was okay. They made it work--and they loved the outcome. Two pretty and happy boys, both full of love and thankfulness for their daddy and their hyungie.
A few minutes of driving left him sitting in front of the store, putting the car in park and making his way into the store. He grabbed a basket and made his way to the section that was always most important to the two littles: the toys. He picked up some toys, plushies, and a new cup for each of them, knowing they both love collecting them and picking through them to get the ‘pwettiest one’.
He went over to the fresh fruit and got some strawberries for Yoonie and mango for Koo. Jimin did his best to always remember their specific tastes...it definitely benefited him when there were no pouty faces because he bought the wrong flavor of something. Lastly, he grabbed milk, even though Namjoon probably already had some for the boys--but it’s better safe than sorry. After throwing some banana milk and strawberry milk in the cart, he got in line to pay, and then quickly hopped into his car and made his way to Namjoon’s house.
Once he arrived, he didn’t knock. Namjoon had given him his own key long ago for when times like this occured. He quickly opened the door, hearing sweet little giggles, causing him to smile in relief. He worries about the boys being left alone, but they always seem to take care of each other. He went into the kitchen and got everything put away. He grabbed the toy and called out for the boys, “Yoonie! Kookie!” As soon as the names left his mouth, he heard a gasp and little socked feet padding against the hardwood. Jungkook rounded the corner and appeared in front of him--by himself.
Before he could even ask, Jungkook was telling his hyungie all about Yoongi.
“Hi hyungie!” Jimin was smothered by a tight hug from the little, causing him to giggle into the younger’s hair, “Yoonie fell into baby space but bunny ‘s takin’ care of him!” his words were once again mumbled around a pacifier, but Jimin understood every word.
Jungkook took Jimin’s hand, leading him to the living room where Yoongi was lying on the floor, pacifier in his mouth as he stared at the television. Already smiling at his sweet baby, Jimin walked over and knelt down to get to the same level as him, running a hand through his hair to gather his attention. As he did, Yoongi seemed to understand that he was there, looking up at him with wide eyes and making grabby hands. His pacifier fell from his mouth, but Yoongi disregarded it--his hyungie had made it and that’s all that mattered.
“Hyungie’s got you.” Jimin said sweetly, with Jungkook running over wanting a cuddle as well. The boys hadn’t seen him in a whole week. “Hyungie got his two favourtie boys some presents.” Jimin spoke softly as he picked Yoongi up and carried him into the kitchen, He set the older boy down on the counter top, delivering a soft kiss to his forehead. He then turned and picked Jungkook up and set him on the counter right next to the other, with a cute little giggle falling from the younger’s lips.
“I’m sittin’ like baby is, hyungie.”
Jimin couldn’t help but smile at that. “Yes you are, bunny. Our big boy, huh?”
Not wanting to keep his boys waiting, Jimin turned and grabbed the first bag from the kitchen table, but as soon as he turned his back Yoongi started to cry.
“No, Yoonie, ‘dis one's mine.”
Yoongi clearly wanted Jungkook’s paci, but the younger didn’t want to give his up. He’s already rinsed the germies off and had it in his mouth--he didn’t want baby Yoonie getting sick.
Not wanting today to be a day filled with tears, Jimin grabbed the spare pacifier that Namjoon kept in the cabinet above the sink, brand new and still in it’s packaging. He quickly opened it and gently put it into Yoongi’s mouth, with the older boy taking it immediately.
“See, Yoonie! Now we can have kissies!” The younger giggled around his own paci, leaning forward to bump his own pacifier softly against Yoongi’s, causing them both to giggle.
Jimin felt his heart clench. He could never get tired of hearing them laugh.
The next half hour was spent going through what Jimin had bought at the store, pulling smiles and more sweet giggles from both littles. Yoongi was more than ecstatic about his new kitty plushie, and Jungkook couldn’t get over his cute new bunny ears. Watching the two boys play gave Jimin happiness. He loved them immensely and would honestly do anything to see them smile.
As the two continued playing, Jimin got out the fruit and began cutting it up for them--small enough pieces so that they wouldn’t choke. Once the ‘new’ of the toys had worn off, Jimin suggested that they go watch cartoons and snuggle. That was one of their favorite things to do together, typically with Yoongi on his lap and Jungkook cuddled up to his side, watching whatever cartoon they had picked from Netflix.
Jungkook shook his head at the suggestion, taking his paci out of his mouth to talk.
“Don’t wanna, hyungie.”
This was definitely one of their favorite things to do when both boys were in little space, so when the offer was declined, Jimin was definitely confused.
“Why don’t you wanna watch cartoons? We could build a fort and cuddle. You two usually love that.”
Jungkook let out a huff, which Jimin couldn’t help but find absolutely adorable.
“Cuz Yoonie not gonna understand the show, ‘n I can't skip ahead… ‘s not fair.”
Jimin laughed at that, because--well he’s not wrong. When Yoongi’s regressed to that young of a mindset, he doesn’t pay much attention to the storyline.
“Okay then, bubba. What would you like to do until your daddy gets home?”
As Jungkook sat and thought about it, Jimin took the pacifier from Yoongi’s mouth and began feeding him the cut up strawberries, which he took happily, chewing on them carefully before swallowing. Jimin was patient with Jungkook--he always has been.
Soon enough, the younger’s eyes lit up as he hopped down from the counter, padding into the bedroom that they had made into a playroom. He soon came bounding back into the kitchen, hands filled with a tea set, all wrapped up inside of a picnic basket.
“Wanna have a tea party!” he said before stopping and glancing at the strawberries. He looked at them, then back at Jimin. Quickly but not very discreetly, he grabbed the fruit and made his way towards the living room.
Jimin smiled and got Yoongi down from the counter, carrying him into the living room. He loves seeing Kookie so excited, and he’s sure that Yoonie will enjoy himself as well. The older boy always thinks that Koo is the silliest, laughing and giggling at every little thing he does.
Following the younger into the living room, Jimin noticed that he had already laid out a blanket so that they could have their tea party.
And so the tea party happened, with Jungkook playing and drinking his tea, eating his fruit, and making his stuffies talk in silly voices. It was the cutest thing—seeing Jungkook play. He had the cutest imagination, and his big doe eyes paired with his theatrics made it that much more precious. Jimin loved every second.
Yoongi himself seemed to enjoy the tea party, listening to his Kookie play and giggling at how silly he was. Making Mr. Snuggles drink tea was funny, because stuffies can’t drink tea! Yoongi definitely provided them with the giggles and laughter, but for the majority of their play date, he was mostly shoving strawberries in his mouth and taking small sips from his sippy cup. Even when Yoongi slipped into his youngest mindset, Jimin still adored his presence.
He loved everything about these boys, big or little.
----------
About an hour went by, leaving both boys sleepy from playing at the tea party. Yoongi yawned, taking his pacifier out of his mouth in the process.
“Hyungie, kitten’s sleepy.”
Jimin eyes softened at that. The older boy must have come up a little bit--not necessarily ‘big’ yet, but a little bigger than how little he was feeling during the tea party.
“My big boy’s sleepy?” That earned a small smile and a nod from the older boy, “What about you, bunny? Is it nap time?”
Koo had already begun to look sleepy as well, taking his paci out of his mouth and replacing it with his thumb. He nodded at the question, eyes slowly drooping shut.
“Okay, sweets, hyungie’s gonna set up a pallet of pillows and blankets in the living room. We’ll nap there. Sound good, cuties?”
Both Yoongi and Jungkook nodded and smiled, the younger pulling his kitten close to his chest to cuddle on the floor.
“Huwwy, hyungie~”
Jungkook’s sweet voice carried down the hallway as Jimin made his way to the living room. He worked quickly, pulling duvets, blankets, and pillows down from the sheft in the closet. He’s had too much experience building forts for his little ones, so he knows exactly how they like it. Fluffy and soft, not too many plushies but just enough so that the boys felt surrounded by love.
Jimin hurried, just for the sake of hearing the two boys giggling in the playroom. He loved their laughs, but hearing it through the wall wasn’t enough. After about 5 minutes of preparing their fort, he stepped back and made sure he had everything ready for his babies.
Turning a heel, he made his way back to the playroom where the two boys were, Yoongi now sitting on Jungkook’s lap--hiding his face in the younger’s neck.
“Are my sleepy boys ready to take a nap?”
That had both littles nodding and clambering to stand up. Padding out of the room, both boys followed their hyungie, down the hall and into the living room, where they gasped at the sight of their fort.
They piled in, cuddling close to each other. Jimin pressed soft kisses to both of their foreheads, with his boys dozing off within minutes.
Jimin held them close, allowing himself to close his eyes as well. His days off weren't necessarily productive--but they were definitely memorable.
---------
Namjoon arrived home about an hour later, walking into the sweetest cuddle session under the fort. Ridding himself of his work shoes and tie, he crawled through the fort and pulled his little ones and Jimin close.
Of course, the action woke Jimin, who had drifted off along with the boys.
He smiled at Namjoon, whispering as he spoke, careful to not wake up the boys, “Namjoonie, you’re back.”
Namjoon leaned over and kissed Jimin softly, “Yeah, sweetheart. Thank you for looking after them. I hope they didn’t cause you too much trouble.”
“Not at all. Sweet little angels, as always.”
He leaned over and kissed him again, pulling back just to lay in a comfortable silence.
“When do you want to tell them, Joonie?”
Namjoon smiled at that, “Maybe if you move in, that’ll be enough for them to figure it out. Would you move in, Minie? Let me take care of you too, baby?”
Jimin felt his cheeks heat up at that. “Yeah, hyung. I- I think I’d like that. You’ll let me take care of you too, right?”
“Wouldn’t want anyone else to take care of me and my boys, baby. You’re perfect for me.”
With that being said, the two men snuggled up once more, closing their eyes and let sleep take over. They had the cutest boys, and now they won’t have to go a single day without their daddy and their hyungie.
