Work Text:
Lily's duties every morning consists of waking the Princess up and helping her get ready for the day before doing anything else. So she did, she opens her door with a smile. Should she prepare the purple dress or the magenta one? Her Princess looks breath-taking in everything. Choices!
"Good morning, My Princess! It's another--Kyaaaah??!!!"
She can't help but scream when she sees another person in her lovely Princess' bed. A male, with dark hair, his arms around the Princess as she slept soundly. They’re both shirtless, so she can see the marks on her Princess’ shoulders. Are those hickeys? Scratches? Bruises?! The male-- Sir Lucas, Princess Athanasia's childhood friend, and magic teacher, also the legendary Magician of Black Tower-- also had similar scratches on his back.
Was her Princess... Doing that with her own playmate?! She always knew the two shared a very strong bond, Sir Lucas saved her Princess countless times, brought her back from another dimension, even braved Emperor's wrath for Princess Athanasia's sake. But this is---!!
"Gosh... So noisy..."
He woke up! Right as Felix entered the room too with a panicked 'What happened, Miss Lilian?!' He froze on the sight...
… And he screamed too. Louder than her, even.
Sir Lucas has his palm on the Princess' ears. Blocking their screams from her sleeping form. When she stirs and frowns, he shushed her and gently rubs her cheeks to calm her down. His normally piercing ruby eyes are soft, kind... and loving, to her Princess. He looks at her Princess like she is his, his most treasured person.
So they... Have this kind of relationship, Felix and Lily thought at the same time.
But when he turns to look at the both of them, the intruders who almost woke up his love, Sir Lucas' death glare and dominating aura engulfed the whole room. His voice is ice cold, they've never seen him like this before, even in front of the Princess.
"You're gonna wake her up."
Lily and Felix shut their mouths promptly as bullets of sweat formed on their skin. His bloodlust is oozing everywhere. Yet, the Princess remains asleep. Peaceful in her slumber.
"She had a rough night. Let her sleep."
"Y-yes, sir."
They closed the door and basked in silence for a while. That was undeniably frightening, and they thought only the Emperor can exude that kind of aura.
"Let's... Not tell His Highness."
"Agreed..."
They walked away from Princess Athanasia's bedroom together. Promising to keep the scene they just experienced to the grave.
