Heaven Spinning??

Summary:

“Spin the bottle?” Taehyung asked, eyes wide.
“Actually, it’s a game that I made up! It’s called heaven spinning? 7 minutes in… Well whatever! We go into the shed over there and do whatever for 7 minutes with the person the bottle lands on!”

Work Text:

‘Oh great,’ Taehyung thought to himself as he stepped out of his car and already heard the obnoxiously loud music from the mansion in front of him.

It was times like these where he wished he was physically capable of being a bad friend.

Unfortunately, the minute he heard Jimin’s overly giggly and cheery voice on the phone, he knew he had to go and pick him up.  Unlike Taehyung, Jimin was a social butterfly who was liked by almost everyone.  He was smart, handsome, fun, and basically the complete opposite of himself, but that never stopped him from being his best friend.

There were so many times where Taehyung thought he would finally ditch him for one of the more popular alternatives that he was friends with, but it still hasn’t happened.  After all, Taehyung was a geeky guy who hid under very baggy clothes and huge Coke bottle glasses.  Where Jimin was known and loved by everyone, there would one be a very small amount of people who would even recognize that Taehyung went to their school when he had been there since primary school.

Needless to say, this is not somewhere Taehyung would ever willingly be if not to pick up his very drunk and vulnerable best friend.

He took a deep breath and walked up to the house, seeing a multitude of different scenes on the front lawn, from a screaming match between the football captain and the running back to the two cheerleaders grinding on the benchwarmer for the basketball team as they made out on top of him, seemingly two seconds away from tearing all of their clothes off.  Taehyung simply kept his head down an made a beeline for the front door, thankfully staying invisible as ever.

It took him a little while, but he ended up finding Jimin on the deck in the backyard sitting with a bunch of other people in a big circle of chairs.  Now these people were the real populars of the school.  They weren’t in any clubs, sports, or anything else that would normally make a person popular, but they still ruled the entire school.

“Jiminie-” Taehyung started before getting cut off by a screech.

“TAEHYUNG!!” Jimin yelled before jumping up and into his arms, catching Taehyung off balance for a moment before the elder pulled away.

“Come on Taetae, you HAVE to come play the game with us!”

Taehyung then looked over at the table that the people now staring at him were all circled around.  He couldn’t see this game that Jimin was talking about, though, only seeing a bottle in the middle of the table.

Wait…

“Spin the bottle?” Taehyung asked, eyes wide.

“Actually, it’s a game that I made up! It’s called heaven spinning? 7 minutes in… Well whatever! We go into the shed over there and do whatever for 7 minutes with the person the bottle lands on!”

“Jiminie, I think we should just go home.”

“But why! I haven’t even gotten picked yet!”

“Yeah party pooper!” one of the guys, who he recognized as the dick Julian, yelled at him, “Don’t ruin his fun. You’re not his mommy!”

Jimin turned around with a fire in his eyes and looked straight at the man, his face starting to go pale at the sight, “Say anything like that to him again and I swear I will break you down piece by piece until you are screaming for forgiveness.”

“It’s okay, Jiminie,” Taehyung said quietly.

“NO! It’s not okay, and you know what? You don’t get to play my game anymore.  Get the hell out of here or I will physically remove you myself.”

Jimin may be the sweetest and nicest person ever, but his anger can scare even the strongest of people.  Not to mention that he is a bit of a gym rat and extremely determined, so he could definitely keep his promises. So, the fact that the guy grabbed his drink and immediately walked inside didn’t really surprise Taehyung.

As soon as the guy was gone, Jimin grabbed Taehyung’s hand and dragged him over to everyone else, carefree expression back on his face. “Okay, everyone! Scoot over a chair, my soulmate is sitting next to me.”

“O-okay, but just a couple off turns and then we really do need to get back,” Taehyung said.

Jimin looked at him with a gentle smile and agreed before the game got started again.  Taehyung just prayed to all of the gods out there that it wouldn’t land on him.

And, of course…

NONE OF THOSE BETRAYERS LISTENED TO HIM!

It was the last one and Taehyung was almost free of it.  He hadn’t said a word to anyone since he sat down and he was just counting down the time until he could get out of there.

And then freaking Scams (You can imagine how he got that nickname) landed on him.  To say Taehyung was scared was an understatement.  But for the most part, he didn’t seem like such a bad-

“No. Hell no.  I’m sorry but I’m not going to,” Scams said with finality.

“Hey man.  It’s just a game,” someone else in the group said.

“I don’t care.  I’m not going to.”

“YOU KNOW WHAT-,” Jimin started, getting riled up, but before he could move, Taehyung grabbed his arm with a bruising grip, causing the other to look at him.

“Stop, Jimin.  It’s fine.  He doesn’t have to.”

“But he can’t just-,” Jimin started, Taehyung looking at him harder than before causing him to stop mid-sentence.

“I can and I am.  I’m not going to go in there with that nerd and nobody can make me,” Scabs said, hitting where it really hurt and at this point Taehyung would rather light his favorite hoodie on fire than participate with that bastard.

“I’ll do it,” they all heard snapping their heads in the direction of none other than the most popular guy on the block, Min Yoongi.  Ji-ji, the girl sitting next to Yoongi who Taehyung knew to be the girl that Yoongi had been sort of courting for the past semester looked at Yoongi with daggers in his eyes.

“You’re just kidding, aren’t you Yoo-Bear,” Ji-ji said with a fake smile plastered on her face, but a real fire in her eyes.

The elder ignored her and stood up saying “Come on” gently as he held his hand out to Taehyung who looked at it for a second, grip falling from Jimin’s arm before he cautiously took it and was led to the shed.

As soon as they got inside, Yoongi took the liberty of locking the door while Taehyung’s heart raced at a supersonic speed.

“Are you okay?” Yoongi asked as he turned to face him, leaning now against some bicycle.

“I’m fine.”

“Are you sure? It’s okay if you’re not okay.  Scams was being a real asshole,” The elder said, actual concern in his voice surprising Taehyung.

“Thank you,” Taehyung started, instead of answering, “for what you did out there.  I know I’m not the person you wanted to be in here with, but thanks.”

“It’s okay.  There will be other opportunities to impress,” he said.

“I’m sure that being in here with the nerd you defended isn’t going to help, though.”

“For the record there is nothing wrong with being a nerd.”

“I’m sure the entire population of the world would disagree with you on that one,” Taehyung said with a slight laugh.

“Well then screw ‘em.”

Taehyung couldn’t stop the little smile on his face, so he ducked his head trying to hide it.

“So, are you new at the school?” Yoongi asked, Taehyung’s heart slightly faltering for a moment before collecting himself.

“Depends on your definition of new.”

“Hmm.  Let’s say like one year?”

“Then definitely no.  If you added a zero after that one, you would be closer.”

“Wait really?”

Taehyung nodded his head.

“How is it possible that I’ve never seen you before then?”

“I’ve become very good at being invisible.  Some say sightings are as rare as Bigfoot.”

That one gave Yoongi a little chuckle which Taehyung couldn’t help but smile at.

“How did you become Jimin’s soulmate then?”

“I really couldn’t tell you.  I’m still waiting for him to drop me for someone better.”

“You shouldn’t think so low of yourself.  I mean I know I don’t actually know you, but you came here tonight to make sure to keep your friend was safe even though you clearly hate it all.  That seems like a pretty good friend to me.”

“Maybe…”

“Nah, I’m declaring it right now.  You seem like a good person.  You’re a little too hard on yourself, but anyone would be lucky.”

“Well, thank you,” Taehyung blushed.  “But enough about me, I’ve always wondered something, and tell me if I’m overstepping, but I’ll never talk to you again probably, so might as well.  Why haven’t you and Ji-ji gotten together yet? Like everyone knows you like her, and she is… So, why hasn’t it happened?”

Yoongi sighed, “You know, I’m not really sure.  There’s just something… I can’t quite put my finger on. I mean I am about 99% sure she would say yes if I asked her out, but I’m just not so sure about some things… I don’t know. It’ll probably happen soon, though.”

Taehyung nodded his head in understanding before letting his eyes wander around the shed. His train of thought, was interrupted, though, when the elder asked him, “What about you?”

“What about me?” Taehyung said confusion on his face.

“Are you dating anyone?”

“Oh no! No, no, no. People don’t date…” Taehyung looked down gesturing at himself, “This… I mean I’ve wondered what it would be like to have a boyfriend or to like actually be kissed, but-”

“Wait, so you’ve never been kissed, and you were still playing the game with us?” Yoongi asked in a concerned tone, which kind of shocked Taehyung

“I mean Jimin doesn’t know about that.  He thinks kissing is no big deal, and I didn’t really want to be a party pooper.  Plus, it would be a good way to just get it out of the way.”

It was silent for a few seconds after that.

“Okay,” Yoongi said standing up straight.

Taehyung looked at him suspiciously. “What?”

“Okay, I’ll kiss you. That is if you want me to.”

Taehyung’s eyes got wide as he looked at the older, “You definitely don’t have to!”

“I know.”

“Like I wasn’t just saying that so you would, I was just saying it as a general statement! Really!”

“I know.”

“And-” Taehyung started before Yoongi put his hand over the younger’s mouth.

“Taehyung, I know!”

Yoongi slowly removed his hand, looking the younger in the eyes.  “What about Ji-ji?”

“Like Jimin, I don’t think kissing is a huge deal.  And just let me handle that.”

“I’m not going to be good.  I don’t know if you missed it, but I’ve never done it before.”

“I don’t expect you to be perfect, but kissing really isn’t that hard, just follow what I do.”

Taehyung looked at him for a moment contemplating, but finally decided, “Okay… fine… but if I do something wrong-”

“Then I will tell you.”

“Okay.”

“Alright, now you put your arms around my neck, and I’ll put mine around your waist, just like slow dancing okay?”

Taehyung nodded and did as he was told gasping a little when he felt the elder’s hands on him.

“Okay, don’t be too nervous.  Just follow my lead and if you want to stop, pull away, okay?”

Taehyung nodded and the elder leaned in.  Taehyung closed his eyes just before their lips touched and when they did, it was like he felt his heart stop beating. It was an innocent kiss, but he could feel it tingling itself all the way down to his toes. It was just a simple little kiss, so why did it feel like this?

It wasn’t until Yoongi broke the kiss that Taehyung felt his heart start back up, this time beating much faster than it ever had before. When Taehyung opened his eyes, he saw Yoongi looking at him with something that gave him chills and only a moment later, the elder’s lips were back on his with more fervor and passion than before.

Taehyung’s brain was turning into mush, the only part of him still receptive being the part that was responding to the intoxicating sensation of Yoongi’s lips on his.  After a few moments, he felt the elder’s tongue swipe against his bottom lip making him gasp, allowing Yoongi access to deepen the kiss.  The grip on Taehyung’s waist tightened as he ran a hand through the elder’s hair, clutching onto it gently.  The kiss was not perfect to start out with, but Yoongi was definitely a great teacher and soon they had their own rhythm of it, Taehyung’s heart about to beat straight out of his chest.  He was sure the elder could hear it, but he was too far gone to care.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

Startled by the sound, Taehyung and Yoongi pulled away from each other.

“GUYS!” Ji-ji yelled through the door, making Taehyung sigh a little bit. “7 MINUTES IS UP YOU CAN COME OUT NOW! LIKE RIGHT NOW!!”

Taehyung internally laughed at the slightly threatening sound that her cheery voice had to it. He looked up at the elder with a small understanding smile before reaching up to fix the elder’s hair a bit.

“Thank you,” Taehyung said quietly before placing a gentle kiss to the elder’s cheek and walking to the door.

As soon as he got it unlocked, he slowly walked straight to Jimin, grabbing his hands and helping him out of his seat before they started walking back through the house and out the door, never once looking back to the backyard where everyone was still sitting.

It wasn’t until they were in Taehyung’s room, Jimin already fast asleep that Taehyung allowed himself to think about the kiss.  He smiled and touched his lips, still not quite fully believing that it happened.  He kissed the Min Yoongi… and it was amazing.

Now he had a couple of days to get over it before school on Monday where the elder would go back to not knowing he existed.

Notes:

Sup peeps B)
I have had the worst writer's block in the world and I know I have like a million things that I still need to write and do, but I am just so lost in the writing game. This is my attempt to start the process of writing again, because self doubt hates me and wants me to suffer a lot, so yeah :D It's not that good, but I may expand upon this little story line in my attempt to write again. My heart is still in the writing but my brain is like what are words. I want to say a huge thank you to the people who have still read some of my things and supported me even though I am a sucky person who no longer can write :P I just thought that today I can write something and post it. not even take a second look at it because if I do I will hate it and delete it, so that is what I'm doing right now. I love everyone that put themselves through this story and I promise I am going to try my best to start actually getting back into writing again. I even signed up for the Taegi Bingo starting next week so YAY! anyways, I hope you all have wonderful days/nights and I will see you all soon. If you wanna hit me up, you can find me mostly on twitter, because I have a Taegi au obsession, so that's like all I do on there. My twitter is @hollyandyeontan so don't be afraid to hit me up on there. But like send a picture of a two precious animals, because there is a chance that I would be afraid to reply with my nerditutde and that would be a good ice breaker :P
