Chapter Text
Katsuki noisily closed the door behind him. "Fucking deku. Fucking nerd." He was once again damned angry and couldn't understand why he let Midoriya Izuku get him upset. Why did that little brat think he could hold a candle to Katsuki Bakugou?
Deku was just quirkless, and yet he tried to get into Yuei. A privilege reserved for the strongest among them. It was pretentious of Deku to believe that he would belong to this elite. Katsuki was sure that Deku wouldn't even pass the entrance examination but it upset him that he had the nerve to try it.
"Kat-chan, I..."
He hated that whiny voice and how he pronounced his name. Like they were friends. Katsuki realized it was only in his head. The nerd hung over his notebook and scribbled eagerly. He didn't even notice that he wasn't alone anymore. Next to Katsuki, the other two idiots appeared who followed him constantly.
He didn't care about them any more than Deku did. He didn't need friends. He didn't care what others thought of him. What he cared about was the pitiful look Deku gave him when he tore the notebook out of the little shit's hand.
"What the fuck is this? Ridiculous." He made no secret of how ridiculous he found this habit of Deku. "Superhero Notebook Number 13," read to one of the other two. "How embarrassing."
Katsuki grinned and let the magazine explode in his fingers. The smell of burned paper rose to his nose. The cry of Deku immediately spurred him on. "You'll never be a hero, you shithead." He waved the damaged notebook over Dekus' head. He couldn't even hold a candle to it in terms of size. But the kid just wouldn't give up. Annoyed, Katsuki strolled over to the window and threw the magazine carelessly out. He could hear it splashing in the school pond. "You know, Deku. If you want a Quirk so badly, there's only one thing to do."
Izuku, standing bent over the window and staring after the notebook, turned to face him. Those big, green eyes seemed unable to believe what had just happened. "What do you mean?"
This shit-innocent way he was acting went against Katsuki's grain. This nerd always thought he was better than him. From the day Katsuki fell off the bridge to this day. He had this look that said: I'll outdo you.
But Katsuki wouldn't let that happen. He wouldn't let a weakling like Deku beat him. Even if he had a Quirk, he'd never be as good as Katsuki. Never. "If you really want a quirk, you should jump off the school roof and hope for brighter odds in your next life."
Katsuki didn't turn around again. Also the cheering "Bakugou", his classmate and the sobbing of Deku left him cold. When he closed the door this time, nobody followed him.
Not the two idiots, not even Deku.
He felt good.
He had let his anger out.
