The words we think

Work Text:

Have you ever been stuck with someone’s thoughts in your head? Not just the thoughts about what someone randomly said around you, but the full on weirdest and most secret shit that aren’t supposed to reach anyone else.

Hitoshi has to deal with it every single day. 24/7, 365 days a year.

It all started during class one fine school day. Hitoshi was trying his best to listen to the teachers lesson about math and how one can use it to find relative velocity or something, when suddenly he heard, Can I just smash my head in between these books? Would that be enough force to damage my brain enough to kill me? Has anyone ever tried that?

All Hitoshi could think was What fresh hell is this? And who the hell thinks that they can kill themselves by smashing their head between textbooks?

Hitoshi had believed that today was going to be a relaxing day, you know, maybe play a video game or two, but no. Instead he got a symptom of early onset schizophrenia. But sadly he was not that lucky.

WHO JUST SAID THAT? Am I going insane? Is this a new side effect of my quirk? Screamed the other voice in his head.

That’s when Hitoshi realized exactly what was happening.

Hitoshi smashed his head onto his desk, getting strange looks from the neighboring desks. Even the teacher looked over to Hitoshi. “Shinsou? Are you all right over there?”

Shinsou rose from his desk and bowed quickly, causing his hair to move every which way and get into his face. “I’m sorry, Mr. Shinazugawa. My Soulbond chose an inopportune time to present itself, and my soulmate has not caught on quite yet, meaning I am left with a headache.” He rushed the words, trying to avoid any crazy reactions that may come.

The entire class was on Hitoshi like a pack of hungry boars. “YOUR SOULMATE?” All of a sudden there were dozens upon dozens of questions from his, mostly soulmateless, classmates. Most of them are waiting for their soulbond to kick in, meaning that they want every detail, down to how much Hitoshi loves his soulmate already.

See, Hitoshi doesn’t like being the center of attention, and he doesn’t like talking about personal matters, so he was uncomfortable to say the least.

Thankfully Mr. Shinazugawa took pity on the purple haired student and helped him out of his predicament. “Shinsou, how about you go tell your parents about this? I am certain they would love to hear the news from you ASAP.”

Yeah, Hiroshi’s parents would love to hear this, but the real reason he was excused was because Mr. Shinazugawa is terrified of SHouta and Hizashi.

Hitoshi nodded and hopped from his seat and gliding out of the room and into the vacant hallway. He released a sigh of relief and then made his way over to the teachers lounge.

Unsurprising to Hitoshi, the teacher lounge was fairly empty save Present Mic and Midnight chatting with All Might over by the water cooler. Hitoshi was so excited to tell his dad the news that he was barely paying attention to the voice in his head, meaning he didn’t hear the countdown. All he heard was the mind splitting AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Hitoshi released a pained shout of his own and fell to the ground. Parent/ Godparent senses kicking in, Nemuri and Hizashi looked over and quickly ran to the fallen student.

“Hitoshi? Kid? Are you okay? Why are you out of class? Do you need to go to Recovery Girl? What happened?” Hizashi placed an arm on the boys back and was rubbing, trying to console the pained Hitoshi.

Ow. Why did you do that, asshole? Hitoshi had always dreamed of having lovely conversations with his soulmate, but of course, once again, he was not so lucky.

GET OUT OF MY HEAD! It was a very alarmed boys voice, clearly around Hitoshi’s age, and clearly annoying.

Hitoshi sighed, causing his worried father to stop interrogating him. I can’t. I would like to, but I can’t. This is our Soulbond. And since you clearly are the first in your family to have this bond, let me explain. We can hear each other's thoughts, 24/7 all year. We can’t hear the other talk or sing unless we think it. Also, SCREAMING IN YOUR THOUGHTS IS PAINFUL FOR THE OTHER! He did a quick mental clearing of his throat.

And we can’t tell the other our name. You can call me whatever you like.

Ow. Sorry. So, lover-

No . Goodbye for now. Hitoshi looked up at his confused father and quickly said, “Giving a rundown of the bond to my soulmate. What should he call me?”

“That’s amazing, Hitoshi! If it helps, I always called your dad Sleepy.” Hizashi said with a stupid lovesick smile on his face.

There was the sound of a door closing and Shouta saying, “And I called you a stupid parrot.” The black haired man was soon in front of his sons face, checking for injury, “Hitoshi, are you okay? Pa basically screamed when he saw you fall.”

“Yeah, I got a screamer in my head.”

Shouta’s worried look melted into a soft smile mixed with a bit of a smug I-know-something-you-don’t look. “Congratulations. Let’s go grab you some acetaminophen. You explained the bond to him?”

They were in the storage closet, which was full of different lesson items and a few first aid kits. Shouta handed the medicine to his son as the boy said, “I am in the middle of that. Right now his thoughts are going a mile a minute. He tried calling me ‘lover’.”

Both men made the same disgusted face.

Listen, you can call me Sleepy. If you want my attention, then please just say Sleepy a few times and I will get to you. I must also thank you for scaring the living shit out of my parents.

He heard a wince sound and said, Call me Sparky, and if it makes you feel any better, I scarred my teacher pretty badly. Apparently screaming doesn’t go well during the middle of class. He then ran out pretty quickly. He said something about needing to check on something. It was weird. I wonder where he went off to.

It was at this point that Hitoshi tuned out the other. Shouta had taught him how, since he was 99% certain Hitoshi would have his bond type. In his mind, Hitoshi built a wall. It basically just dimmed it all, the other person’s thoughts were just like hearing a tv running from behind a closed door, distant but still there.

Of course, his dad had told him that this does nothing against screaming.

Hitoshi walked over into the main part of the teachers lounge to find Hizashi and Nemuri talking to each other about their soulmates. Apparently Nemuri is still waiting for her timer to reach 0, but she only has one year and seventeen days to go. Hizashi was using this moment to gush over Shouta, like always.

Having missed too much of class as it was, Shouta walked the door saying, “I’ll see you all in a few hours.”

Hitoshi, not one to miss an opportunity to skip math class (he knew the whole high school math course), settled down on top of Hizashi’s desk.

All Might came and sat in his desk a few down, on the other side of Nemuri’s desk.

It was still super weird to see deflated All Might walking around the school lounge, especially when he has been sworn to secrecy about it. Of course, he wasn’t like those rabid All Mighters who would keep one of the aging mans discarded tissues. He just was interested in learning about yet another side of being a Pro.

“So, Young Shinsou, how’s it like living with your uncle?”

Both Hitoshi, Hizashi, and Nemuri had to cover their laughter. They had all forgotten that that was the lie they fed the gen-ed class to keep them from suspecting Hitoshi. They may have also introduced him as such at the sports festival during the “get to know the competitors” time.

Hitoshi took the lead and decided to role with it. “Oh yeah, it’s awesome living with Uncle Shoata and Uncle Hizashi. Especially when they can give me a deep look into the world of heroes, and my soulbond.”

“It really is great having the little tyke with us.” Hizashi said as he reached out and ruffled Hitoshi’s hair. “Shouta and I have always wanted kids, so with Hitoshi around it’s as close to the real thing as we are going to get. Yeah, it feels like we have been Hitoshi’s parents his whole life.”

Quickly and subtly Hitoshi elbowed his Pa in the side. “Totally. That’s probably because I spend so much time at their house because of my parents being away on business all the time.”

All Might, who had been happily watching this disaster of a conversation take place, said, “Oh, what do they do?”

It was Nemuri who covered this time since the two Aizawa-Yamada boys were having a stare down. “They work with me in sleeping remedies. Hitoshi’s dad has a quirk that gives him really bad insomnia, so the couple have devoted their time to going around the world looking for different remedies.”

That. was. the. stupidest. story. ever. What the heck Nemuri?

Who’s Nemuri?

Not now, Sparks.

All Might seemed to be unfazed by the ridiculousness of the womans sorry excuse for a backstory. He had his hands in his lap, looking on seriously and nodding along. “Very interesting.” He shifted his attention to Hitoshi, “So the insomnia is genetic?”

Hitoshi looked up from the palm his face was currently attached to. “How did you know about my insomnia?”

“It’s not usual for a boy your age to have permanent bags under your eyes.” All Might rose and headed to the door. “Oh, and just so you know.” He shifted into his big form. “It lovely that you and Aizawa had a child so young. He looks just like Aizawa.” And off the man went.

All three looked at the vacant doorway in awe. Hitoshi couldn’t even come up with a coherent thought or idea about the ridiculous turn of events that just occurred in front of his very eyes.

How does he know?

Know? Know what? Tell me! Tell me! TELL ME! The level of obnoxious that Sparky’s voice reached should be outlawed.

Why should I? Though Hitoshi was mentally exhausted from his first hour with a soulmate, he still wanted to cause some minor inconvenience to Sparky.

Because I am bored and in desperate need of entertainment! The teacher just got back and is now happy. When he’s happy it means more work for us.

Hitoshi was in no mood to deal with his chaotic soulmates nagging, so he decided to throw a red herring.

My father has learned that I gave our cat too much catnip, so now she is running like an Olympic Racer being chased by failure.

That was a weird way to say that, but I think I get what you mean? Oh shit, I need to focus now. Mr. ----- is staring me down something fierce. I    think he’s onto me. So no, he can’t hear his own family name being said by his soulmate.

At least he knows the kid is in class 1-A. That also means the boy is most likely a pretty decent guy, unless he was that pervert, then screw soulmates.

You go to UA? And sorry, I don’t know that name. What’s his hero name? He knew the answer, but an alibi must be made. He really can’t just say Dad’s hero name so easily since it was hard for even his students to figure out.

I go to UA, and Mr. ----- is Eraserhead or something. Wow, his knowledge about his teacher was amazing.

No way! He and Present Mic are my two favorite heroes! I’m guessing you also have the DJ like the rest of us first years.

You go here too? I’m guessing you’re not in my class, but maybe we have met! The boy sounded excited, like he was a puppy being offered a treat.

No, I would have remembered your annoying voice.

Babe, don’t be mean. The words were said in a joke scold.

Babe?

Yeah, ‘cause we are soulmates and all.

Okay, that’s a good reason. But not his favorite nickname. Better than lover though.

I’ll let it slide. Goodbye, Sparky.

Goodbye, Sleepy.

Hitoshi returned to the real world just in time to leave for class. It was a brisk walk over to the classroom where he was greeted by some ‘hello’s as he made his way to the back of the class and sat down.

Once he had finished settling back in, he took a look at the board to see what Mr. Shinazugawa had in store for them. Apparently, they had a surprise in store, it was involving the finals, which was boring since they don’t get to fight like class 1-A or B.

“All right, class. Time to settle down.” Mr. Shinazugawa stood in front of the class with a stern face. “I am here to tell you that the second half of the final will be a very interesting practical test.”

The entire class was silent. There was an almost static quality to the air, complete with a buzzing sensation in everyone's skin.

“The final part of your finals will be a competition.” The teacher looked on the class with mischievous eyes. “The school will be providing a large amount of materials for a building competition in the gym. It will be a pillow fort building competition complete with movie.”

The entire class erupted with laughter and cheering.

Mr. Shinazugawa had one more detail. “The person I deem to have the best fort will get to choose the movie.”

Okay, so finals sound fun for the first time. Well, based on what Hitoshi has heard about finals from his fathers.

Suddenly the room was going on about how cool their forts were going to be and what movies they were going to choose once they won.

Hitoshi thought that it was ridiculous how big of a deal they were making of it.

Wait, you guys get a movie and fort final? Lucky! My stinking class has to do a practical test tomorrow.

Oh, I heard that there is a 50% chance that you guys will be fighting the teachers. It’s a rumor that’s been going around. Also, my class has the written final tomorrow. Surprisingly enough it was nice to speak with Sparky and ignore his classmates.

Bummer. Fighting the teachers sounds awful. The boy sounded seriously bummed about having to fight tomorrow. I hate the idea of fighting for a final. My skills in quirk usage needs more help, and I’m really stupid, so I’m probably going to fail.

For some reason, the things his soulmate is thinking really pissed off Hitoshi. Oh stop feeling sorry for yourself. You are in the fucking hero course, meaning you are in the class that everyone here wants to be part of. I have been training my whole life to be where you are, so you need to prove that you earned that spot. Now, go take names and kick ass.

Thanks. Hopefully you’ll join my class someday.

Hitoshi laughed out loud and muttered, “Oh, the nepotism.”

His neighbor, Kimi, looked at him with a tilted head. “What was that?”

“Nothing.” siad Hitoshi quickly. “I was just remembering a movie my uncle showed me recently and they were secretly brothers.”

“That sounds weird.” The girl turned away from him, her dark green hair flowing as she moved.

That girl never liked Hitoshi, not ever since she learned he was related to Aizawa. She thought it was an unfair advantage and has refused to really try to look past Hitoshi’s blood.

After the period ended, there was a passing time so the teachers could switch. It was Hizashi’s time to teach english.

“Hello, young listeners!” called Present Mic in slightly accented English. “You all ready to learn some more present tense?”

The class all groaned. Well, all besides Hitoshi who said in his very well learned English, “As ready as I’ll ever be.”

Kimi, the grump, not so subtly kicked his desk while muttering, “Stop showing off. Bragging doesn’t suit you.”

Not in the mood to deal with obnoxious people, Hitoshi replied in English, “And bitchiness doesn’t suit you.”

“Shinsou, watch your mouth.” scolded Hizashi as he tried to hide his amusement.

Now he really is on Kimi’s bad side, if her hell-freezing glare was anything to go by.

The rest of the class was pretty boring, besides learning that Sparky was actually decent at speaking English.

I love learning languages! They just come naturally, I guess.

If you want, I can always give you some more pointers. I have been fluent since I was three. Both my parents are fluent, one is even an English teacher. The other just learned so we can’t talk crap behind his back. Also, I can teach you some swear words.

Please. That sounds awesome. I could swear Bakugou to shame in a whole other language! He won’t know what hit him.

Then it was lunch, which was Hitoshi’s time to disappear into the teachers lounge.

“Hey, Pa, do you know any 1-A kids who are surprisingly good at English?” Hitoshi asked when he found his father sitting at his desk, three bento’s on his desk, one yellow, one grey, one purple. Each had they boys favorite foods.

Hizashi looked up from his bento and smiled. “So that’s who it is. Yes, I do know someone of that description, but I won’t tell.”

Sitting down at Nemuri’s desk, who had a class during this lunch, Hitoshi groaned. “Why?”

“Because you should figure out who your soulmate is on your own, but what I will say is that you two will get along great.”

Hitoshi made a dying sound as he banged his head on the desk, all the items on it rattling.

“Hizashi, hon, let’s not tease Hitoshi about his soulmate, even though we both know who they are.” Shouta came in, kissed his husband, ruffled his sons hair, and took a seat at his desk.

“Oh, Shouta. Your son said something foul in class today.”

Shouta seemed uninterested. “I told you that teaching him to swear in English was a bad idea. We both know he has my attitude. So there is no filter.” He looked over at his son and asked, “Was this that Kimi girl again? Because if so she deserved it.”

“Yeah, she said, and I quote, ‘Bragging doesn’t suit you’ after I had said a sarcastic remark in English.”

SHouta rolled his hand to get his son to continue.

Hitoshi smiled and said, “So I said in English, ‘and bitchiness doesn’t suit you’.”

Laughing, Hizashi nearly fell out of his chair, and SHouta was doing that evil smile he does when he’s proud of his sons mischief.

Do you want to meet? I’m in lunch and I think most of the other first year’s are as well.

As nice as that sounds, Sparky, I think I’m going to wait for fate to bring us together . The boy held up a hand to his dads to let them know he was think conversing.

BUT FATE GAVE US THE SAME LUNCH!

Ow. Hitoshi winced and his parents took joy in his clear pain.

I’m sorry . The boy’s voice sounded softer, sadder. It’s just… I want to meet you now. I can hear you, and I’m pissed I don’t have a face to go with it.

Well, just picture me as a sleepy teenager who has uncontrollable hair.

He heard a laugh in his head that was so sweet it could give him cavities. The two said their farewells after a little more chatting and Hitoshi built up the wall in his head.

When he got out of his head, Hitoshi found that his parents were just staring at each other. CLearly they were having a mental conversation that Hitoshi was partially glad he couldn’t hear since Hizashi was doing the eyebrows.

FInishing up his meal, Hitoshi cleared his mind to the best of his ability and listened in on his soulmates thoughts. Mainly they were about how annoyed he was at Hitoshi and how funny he thought his friends were.

The rest of the day was not really of any importance. Sparky and Hitoshi didn’t really talk for the rest of the day, only speaking when Sparky needed help with homework.

They learned their bond doesn’t seem to have a distance limit when they both headed for their homes.

They also learned it is a pain to try to fall asleep when someone elses restless thoughts are added to your own. Eventually Hitoshi decided to take the emergency insomnia medicine he had for bad nights, which may soon become the norm for sleeping.

Dreams were peaceful solitude from the voice in his head.

The next morning was filled with grumpy parents who really didn’t want to fight students, and a grumpy student who was doing some last minute review for the finals.

Sitting in his seat, he was greeted by a very angry Kimi.

“You are the bitch. Not me.”

Ah, so she looked it up.

What? Who looked what up?

Hitoshi quickly explained this situation to Sparky, who apparently got in trouble for laughing too hard.

“Glad you could figure out google translate. They should give you a gold star.” Hitoshi was really fine with being hated by this girl, really, but if she was going to hate him, he was going to give her a real reason.

Kimi, not knowing how to respond, made the sound of a ticked off gorilla and set up her desk for the test.

The finals went by pretty quickly. At one point near the beginning though, he heard, Oh lord the principals a madman. Couldn’t we have gotten Present Mic?

Hitoshi smiled when he heard that, but he wasn’t going to reply because he needed to keep focused on his test.

During lunch he was greeted by Kimi once again. “What is your problem, Shinsou? Are you really so desperate to be a villain that you pick on other students?”

Okay, so that was the game she was going to play. “No. You just never gave me a chance, so I’m just going to treat you how you treat me. Now, excuse me. I want to eat my food in peace and you are anything but.”

Kimi looked furious, which was seeming to be a permanent part of her face and attitude. Really, she would have been pretty if she wasn’t always sneering at every living thing.

When they got back to the class it was time for the final piece of today’s final, which was another written part.

That went over smoothly. Which was concerning since usually he could hear Sparky’s thoughts, but now there were none.

He must be asleep or something. Deduced Hitoshi.

The next day was the final day of finals, which was super awesome. Hitoshi took some extra blankets and other fort materials in his bag. He went to the gym and found that it had a grid on the floor made of duct tape. Each square had a name. Some already had their kid in it, others were still full of neatly stacked pillows and blankets.

Hitoshi found his spot near the back, not near Kimi’s spot based on who his neighbors were.

Taking the rope and hairbands from his bag, he set some of the pillows in a square shape. He tied it together using a blanket over it for comfort and a rope to hold it all together and keep the tension.

He then set up the inside so that the back half was high enough up so he could lie down and still see the movie and then the front half he set up in almost a couch way that he filled with blankets that he could snuggle down into.

He then set up an angled roof and added up more blankets to use to keep comfy. Overall, he thought it was a pretty decent fort and it only took him half an hour to make.

Settling into the couch part, he laid down and started scrolling the internet on his phone. He barely noticed when Mr. Shinazgawa came by and complimented his fort.

Another half an hour later and the building time was complete. Mr. Shinazugawa had chosen a winner and went up to the mic in front of the screen to announce it.

“Alright class, the winner of our fort building contest was one of three to get a fully upright and fort looking fort. Our movie chooser is Shinsou!”

The entire class whirled round to look at him. Some were praising him, others cursing him, so nothing new.

Sparky, I know your testing and all, but I need you to pick a movie. I only really like horror and english films, and I don’t want my class to hate me.

How about a Studio Ghibli movie? Maybe Whisper of the Heart or Nausicaa ?

“Let’s watch Nausicaa .”

Actually, now that I think about it, Nausicaa is a pretty weird movie. So maybe not that.

That’s the one I chose.

Good luck then .

The film was so much weirder than anything Hitoshi could have dreamed. He really regretted his decision. Luckily, his classmates seemed to like it.

Even Kimi said it was a good choice, so yay?

On his walk back home, he decided to check in with Sparky.

How did it go? He asked this in his head only half expecting a reply.

I think I passed! Mr. ----- said that we all get to go to summer camp though, pass or fail .

That’s nice. He knew what was coming for them, and he was definitely pitying them. My dad and I are going to spend the time watching old American horror movies and who knows what else. When the keeper of the house is out we go sort of crazy.

The two then went on about their usual vacations, like Hitoshi’s trip to the U.S, or Sparky’s road trip around Japan. Hitoshi even told Sparky about the one time he saw his parents get drunk and Shouta got into a fight with one of those inflatable people because he thought the thing was flirting with Hizashi. Shouta hasn’t gotten drunk since then and it’s been years. Apparently the embarrassment still haunts him.

Okay, so I need to go since my classmates and I are going to the mall to get some last minute items for the camp. I’ll talk with you soon!

Hitoshi built the mental wall and went into his house and settled down on the couch.

Thirty minutes later his parents slugged into the house and each fell into a chair. Hizashi want with his lounger and Shouta…

“Dad, GET OFF! You’re squishing me!” Hitoshi laughed as Shouta played dead on him.

Shouta chuckled and said, “I’m sorry, Hitoshi, but gravity seems to have gotten stronger. I should know since the same thing happened yesterday.”

“We both that’s not possible, Dad.”

“Yes, but now I’m comfortable, so I’m not moving.” Shouta said matter of factly.

Hizashi was watching this all happen as he took off his jacket and settled down for a minute.

Giving up, Hitoshi tried to get comfortable. “Are you packed for tomorrow, and did you know that your class is out shopping at the mall?”

Shouta answered yes for both.

Sleepy the name rang in his head a few times, each sounding more urgent than the last.

What’s up?

That hand guy from the league of villains just showed up and threatened Midoriya. He got away, but everyone’s pretty freaked out. Can I talk to you?

“Dad, the leader of LoV just threatened Midoriya at the mall. He got away. You should go down there.”

Shouta said nothing as he rushed out the door and to the mall.

All while this was happening, Hitoshi was talking to Sparky.

Did I tell you about the time my godmother once tried to teach me how to french-kiss? We never kissed or even got close, but it was disgusting. She kept showing me her tongue and was telling me about different techniques.

Eeeeww. She sounds gross. How did she end up as your godmother?

Well, my parents had me young and they were thick as thieves with two friends, Nemuri and Tensei. They became my godparents, but apparently if my parents ever have another/ get another kid they will split it. If a girl then Nemuri gets her and Tensei gets me, and reverse if it’s a boy.

That sucks.

Yeah, I will personally fight for keeping both for both if it ever comes down to it. I wouldn’t want to be split from my sibling if something were to happen.

That makes sense. Also, you two should have to survive this Nemuri person together.

Hitoshi laughed out loud at that and shared the story with Hizashi before returning to Sparky,

The lady is a pistol. She is also one of the most badass people I have met besides my parents. I have seen her fight a guy twice her height while she applied her makeup and texted a friend. She won and the guy was so embarrassed to have lost to a woman only going at half-power.

Wow. That must be why she’s your godmother.

I think so. Well, she also would have killed my parents if they denied her the right.

True.

They cut the conversation short because there were police and questions on Sparky’s end of things.

“How is everything going with Dad?” Hitoshi had shifted on the couch so he could see Hizashi.

“Things are all good apparently. The students are a little shaken up, but it’s amazing how the idea of going to summer camp keeps those kids going.”

Hitoshi scanned his parent’s face, checking for any sign that the man was lying. Apparently he was telling the truth since his face looked pretty relaxed and he was making eye-contact.

“Do you want to start watching Poltergeist and Poltergeist 2?”

Hizashi smiled and got up. “I’ll go get popcorn and snacks, and you can set up the movie.”

Setting up the movie took three minutes, which was how long Hizashi needed to make the snacks. So by the time the trailers started playing as Hizashi came into the room, salty buttery aroma trailing him and his snacks.

The couch was already ready with blankets and pillows and Hitoshi. The older man plopped down next to his son and handed Hitoshi the bowl of popcorn.

When the menu popped up, both Aizawa-Yamadas said “They’re here” in the creepiest voice they could.

They were at the part that Carol-Anne was getting pulled into the closet when Shouta came into the living room. He looked worse for wear and the bags under his eyes were bigger than normal.

“I thought Pa hated horror films?” the standing man asked as he made his way over to the couch. He plopped down between his son and husband.

Near instantly Hizashi buried his head in Shoutas shoulder, muttering, “Shou, I’m scared.”

Hitoshi heard this and chuckled, “It’s all fake Pa. Nothing is coming out of this to hurt you. Besides, you were the one who suggested this.”

That had to be the moment where their cat decided they needed to crash into the wall during it’s crazing running spree.

“AAAAAAAAAAAHH” screamed the blonde. Thankfully Shouta heard the cat’s thump and knew to erase Hizashi’s quirk.

Shouta then pulled his husband onto his lap and cradled him, cooing at him to calm him down. “Shhhh, it was just the cat. Nothing to worry about.” He then turned to his son and said, “Hitoshi, please go turn on something fun and musical.”

Hitoshi sighed, but did as he was told. He went over to the movie case and pulled out their copy of The Lion King , the animated one, and replaced Poltergeist with it.

To say Hizashi was thrilled would have been an understatement. They all sang along to the circle of life, and Hitoshi even grabbed Bean, their cat, and reenacted the whole ceremony.

It was super fun until one by one, they all passed out. Starting with Shouta, then Hizashi, and finally Hitoshi after he turned off the tv. Not once during all of that did he think to talk with Sparky. He was too in the moment with his family.

When Hitoshi woke up the next morning, Shouta was just about to leave.

“Bye, Dad. Come back safely, got it? If you get hurt I will kick your butt.” Hitoshi said as he gave his dad a speedy hug.

SHouta smiled softly. “I’m gonna hold you to it.”

Then Hizashi and Shouta siad their gooy, mushy goodbyes, which made Hitoshi gag a little.

“Oh, and Hitoshi, don’t try to talk to your soulmate during the week. I’m going to be running him into the ground.”

“Rodger, Dad.”

Once Shouta left, Hizashi and Hitoshi went to the living room and began their bingeing of all Disney movies they had, which was a lot. And yes, they included all disney owned companies as well.

And while he heard all of Sparky’s thoughts, Hitoshi did not once try to contact him.

This pattern went on for the first day and late into the second, until Hitoshi heard Sparky.

Sleepy! Help! The LoV is here! They are after Bakugou! Sparky sounded terrified and Hitoshi could feel the intense fear coursing through him, making all movement and rational thought difficult.

“Pa!” Hitoshi was in his room and had just finished changing after a shower. He heard his dad call his name as he raced to the room.

When Hizashi opened the door he looked as terrified as Hitoshi felt.

He had heard about how emotions can be shared through the bond, but this is crazy. Both Hitoshi and Hizahi were shaking like leaves in a strong wind.

Someones here! Oh god. Mr. ----- is fighting him. Oh god, oh god. Where are the pros? We need help!

Hitoshi felt like he was going to puke. “What do I do? I… How can I help him? I need to help him.”

Hizashi pulled his son next to him. “I already called the Pros. They are on their way. Other than that, we just need to be here for them. Talk to him. He needs support in any way.”

Shhh, Sparky. Breathe. The Pros are coming, everything is going to be fine. I’m going to be here for you. Right now, you need to make sure you all are away from the windows and doors and are ready to fight.

But ----- said we can’t fight.

Then hide. Just stay safe.

What do you think I’m trying to do? Get killed?

“They need to open the door. Your dad is locked out of the room and he needs to get away from the villain.” Hizashi said as calmly as he could.

Sparky, open the door now.

Are you CRAZY? There are villains out there!

I am aware of that, but you need to let Eraserhead in .

Okay. A few seconds later. How did you know that?

Let’s just say that I have ways to keep track of him.

Oh.

It was horrible having to live with this second hand fear, but Hitoshi and Sparky kept in constant contact.

After a few more minutes, Hitoshi felt the fear rank up and saw the same thing happen to his father. Both men were sitting on the bed, faces painted with pure terror.

They got Bakugou! A wave of sorrow hit Hitoshi so hard tears started falling on his face. Midoriya couldn’t save him. I wish I could have helped him! I should have been out there defending him!

No, you shouldn’t. That would have only put you in harm's way. I personally am grateful that you were in a safe place with Pro Heroes.

It felt like all the intense emotions that Hitoshi had been feeling started to wash away.

“Pa, can you ask dad if Sparky can go to sleep? I can feel his exhaustion and I can tell he’s barely on his feet.” Hitoshi asked.

A few seconds later Hizashi gave him a thumbs up.

Sparky, how about you go to sleep? I can feel how tired you are.

I better not. I don’t want to get in trouble.

You won’t get in trouble. I promise. It’s nearly midnight and any questions the police may have can wait.

I can’t sleep though.

Have you tried?

Well I can’t be the only one sleeping though. That would be awkward.

“Ask Dad if they can all go to sleep right now.”

Hizashi replied, “He said yes to all but those who need medical attention. They are all getting on the bus right now though.”

Let me know when you are all on the bus.

Not even going to ask how you know that. And the last two non-hospitalized kids just found their seats.

Okay. So you all should go to sleep.

Dude, we just got done with a villain attack. I don’t see any of us sleeping.

What if you sing them a lullabye? I’m certain it would help all of you.

I can’t think of any that aren’t stupid.

Okay. How about I sing it to you, and you copy it?

That could work.

Here we go then. Hitoshi wracked his brain for a decent lullabye. He remembered one in particular that Hizashi always sang to him when he had nightmares.

Here is a tale of the trees in a wood

They were never that pleased on the land that they stood.

So they upped and they walked as far as they could

'Til they felt the sun shine on their branches.

I was little boy lost, and I was little boy blue

I am little Jack Frost but I am warm through and through

It's not easy to hide when your heart's on full view

Oh, tonight, cruel world be forgiving

Oh, for once in my life I am living.

Hizashi sand a few more verses in his head before he felt all the exhaustion and terror and sorrow drift away, signaling that SParky had finally fallen asleep.

“Your dad thanks you for putting them all to sleep. They all needed it.” Hizashi gave Hitoshi a side hug. “How about you also get some sleep? I’m going to stay up and continue talking with your dad, but you should rest now.”

Hitoshi tucked himself in and Hizashi gave him a kiss on his forehead. “Goodnight, Pa.”

“Goodnight, Hitoshi. I love you.”

“Love ya too.”

The next day was sad. Shouta had come back early that morning looking like he had aged ten years.

The moment that Hitoshi came into the kitchen, Shouta came up and enveloped him in a hug. Hitoshi was quick to reciprocate the action.

“Thank you, Hitoshi. You really helped us yesterday. I’m certain Kaminari is also thankful, he seemed so much calmer when he was talking with you.” The man froze when he realized what he had just said.

Hitoshi smiled. “Kaminari. I should have guessed it was him. Fitting quirk.”

“Shouta, I thought we decided not to tell him it was Kaminari.” Hizashi was also laughing at the counter, cups of coffee in hand. He passed one over to Hitoshi and Shouta drank from his own.

Hitoshi sipped as he started to try and get Kaminari’s attention

Sparky, you up?

Yes.

How are you feeling?

He felt a bit of amusement and a lot of tiredness as Kaminari replied Like I got hit by a ton of bricks, both emotionally and physically.

I totally get that. I also feel like I have been run over.

That makes no sense, you weren’t there.

Swear you will keep this a secret?

I swear. I won’t tell anyone!

Okay. I am a relative of Eraserhead’s Soulmate, by marriage. I am staying with them this year while I attend UA. That by default means I live with the guy and care about his well being. I also care about you as well, so really last night was like a triple whammy figuring your emotions and exhaustion also got me.

That sucks. Both dealing with that all and living with ------. Is he super strict? Does he give you lots of chores?

“Kaminari wants to know if you give me a lot of chores.” stated Hitoshi to Shouta.

Both adults gave an amused look.

“I give chores to Hizashi and your Pa gives them to you.” Shouta had a small smile as he tilted his head. He downed another gulp or two of coffee before he rose, put his mug in the sink, and walked out of the room.

Oh yeah, loads of chores.

Hizashi smoothly glided up next to Hitoshi and threw the boy a sigular eyebrow raise. “So, how is Kaminari? Are you two getting along?”

“Yeah. I like talking with him.” Hitoshi grinned. “His stupidity gives me a new look on life.” He said this with no real cruelty, in fact, he thinks Kaminari was a blast, adn his opinions were different to his own in a fun way.

That sucks. My mom gives me huge lists of chores any day I’m home. It’s crazy.

I’ll bet .

“You sound just like your dad. He used to call me an idiot at least once a day.”

“Used to?” Shouta said as he came into the room in a clean hero suit, “You must be an idiot if you don’t realize I still call you one every day even now.”

The black haired man walked up and gave his husband a kiss on the cheek to console the man's emotional wound.

“I have to go talk to the police. I’ll hopefully be back in a few hours.”

Have you talked with the Pro’s or cops yet?

Yep. I finished a few minutes before we started talking. Now, what’s it like living with UA’s most feared teacher?

It’s fun. He and I have similar personalities and when he isn’t teaching he acts like a semi-normal human. Hitoshi loved that he finally got to talk with someone his own age about the true Aizawa-Yamada Shouta. He had quite a nasty rep, but he was really a softy, especially with his family.

He heard a laugh in his mind. I don’t believe you. Prove it.

Last week the man came home and started petting our cat. After a few minutes he went full Baymax and started saying “hairy baby” in that drunk voice the robot does. He wasn’t tired or anything, he just likes doing that with our cat.

This really happened. It was the day after they had watched Big Hero 6 for the fifth time this year, and Shouta thought that Hitoshi wasn’t watching when he did that.

OMG that is so cute! There was a pause. Oh no. I’m going to be related to ------.

Well, his soulmate, by marriage times two, if you’re lucky.

Are you implying that this won’t end in marriage? Also, STILL CLOSE!

The balls this boy had. It was kinda cute.

Yes, that is still close, but think of it like this, you now have an inside source for getting on your teachers good side, meaning that he won’t be as scary or hash with you.

True. True. So far I know more about your relative than you. Tell me about yourself.

Only if you also say something about yourself.

You drive a hard bargain. But fine. I short-circuit when I overuse my quirk. Apparently it’s very fun to watch.

That was definitely something Hitoshi needed to see. He might just have to request that in the future.

I have a cat who I swear is the devils spawn.   I also have also met all the top 10 Pro Heroes including All Might, Endevour, and Best Jeanist. And no, that's not just because I  go to UA. I meet them at the award ceremonies for the rankings. Do to me being connected to Eraserhead I get to go to them.

He remembered his fist time. He was 6 and Endevour scared the ever-loving shit out of him. Hitoshi had also met Todoroki’s three kids.

That sounds terrifying and amazing.

The two went on to talk about their favorite heroes and who they want ot be like when they get to be Pro’s. They also got into a heated debate about whether Present Mic or Mrs. Joke was the better hero. Hitoshi was completely on his Pa’s side.

The next month or so was still crazy. Especially during internships for first years. This was after Hitoshi had passed the Provisional Licence Exam as Eraserheads personal student. He sadly didn't get fight Overhaul, but  he did get a cool sister, Eri, out of the deal.

The little girl was stupid powerful, like, only Shouta and Hitoshi were trusted to take care of her since they were the only two who could efficiently cancel her quirk.

Kaminari and Hitoshi continued to talk for at least 2 hours a day. Which was super fun. They learned lots of random things, like how Kaminari once put one of Bakugou’s favorite spoons (apparently the guy was picky about that) and hid it until the olde blonde was about ready to blow up the entire dorm building.

The craziness that occurred later was something to behold.

“Hitoshi?” called Dad, “I just spoke with Principle Nezu and he offered a way to actually get you into the Hero Course this school year. It would require you working on one of the Hero assignments the class often gets, so it won’t be easy.”

Hitoshi wasn’t sure what to think. He was excited, yes, but there are a few reservations. One was the fact that he has not been filled in on what the students know.

There was also Kaminari.

The idea of meeting Kaminari so soon made his stomach twist in both a good and bad way. It took all Hitoshi could do to not think about this dilemma. Kaminari’s help is the last thing he needs right now.

Hitoshi took a seat at the dining table. He took a breath in and released it.

“Hitoshi, the qualification test is tomorrow, so I need to be able to give Nezu your decision by lunch.”

It took Hitoshi all of 10 seconds to decide, “I’ll do it.”

“Great.” Shouta said as he took a sip of his near-black-hole dark coffee. He set down the cup, only the smallest of clinks indicating it’s placement. “If you succeed, you will most likely be placed in Class 1-A. The only reason that wouldn’t happen when you win would be because of nepotism. But they let you have Pa as your teacher, so this shouldn’t be a problem.”

Hitoshi rolled his eyes. “Let me guess, I am going to get more and harder assignments in class like Pa does to me in English class.”

SHouta said nothing as he nodded and continued to drink his coffee.

Even without having a drop of his coffee, Hitoshi felt like he was full of the most potent electricity. He was finally going to get a chance to show off his skills.

“Do I get to use my gear?”

“Of course. So does 1-A.”

Hitoshi gave a grin like the cheshire cat. Perfect.

Prepare Sparky, I am coming for you.

What?

Nothing.

The next morning, Hitoshi was awoken by an energetic Eri. The little girl was bouncing on Hitoshi as if he was a bouncy house or a trampoline.

“Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!” Eri giggled and attempted to run away, but Hitoshi had left his scarf on the nightstand next to him since he had been practicing for hours last night.

Hitoshi grabbed Eri around the torso and drew her back in and started to tickle her mercilessly. Eri screamed and laughed and tried to squirm away, but Hitoshi had too strong a grip on her.

Not even a minute later his alarm went off. He released Eri to turn it off. Once the girl was gone he changed into his form fitting gym uniform. He then picked up his speaker, which replicated Hizashi’s speakers externally, but were specially built to improve his quirks chances of success inside. He then grabbed his scarf and walked down, grabbed some breakfast, then went to UA with dad so they could get ready for the test.

About 30 minutes after Dad disappeared to grab the class, he returned.

There was nothing more intimidating than staring down at least 40 kids who you would be fighting against.

But nothing alleviated that gut colining fear more than seeing your soulmate for the first time since the bond came.

Kaminari looked fucking stunning. He was wearing what must be his hero costume, which was so cool and yet  kinda silly. Silly because the person in the outfit was anything but cool.

Hitoshi’s breath caught in his throat when he saw Kaminari’s face. The boys eyes, which Hitoshi had never seen until now, would put gold to shame in color and sparkle.

Not one to waste time, Hitoshi sent his soulmate a grin. He thought that got the point across since he looked just like a purple version of his dad and was immediately drawn to the blonde, just like Kaminari must have been towards him. Sadly, instead of joy, he got a hit with a huge wave of anxiety.

Unable to hide his shock, Hitoshi regarded the boy in confusion. The anxiety that went through their bond increased tenfold.

You okay? He asked through the bond.

A moment or two of a delay later, he heard, Yeah, totally.

I’m always here if you need to talk. He offered, senseing that the blonde was lying.

Hitoshi heard no response but saw Kaminari bob his head subconsciously.

Why did this boy have to be so cute?

Shouta and Sekijirou went over the rules and guidelines of the exercise.

The people were paired up and as luck would have it, he was in Kaminari’s group.

Kaminari must not have thought that this was good or lucky since Hitoshi got hit with a huge wave of negative emotions.

That’s it. What’s wrong?

I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I am a terrible soulmate.

Hitoshi nearly stopped in his tracks. What on earth are you talking about?

In front of him,he saw the blonde shake his head, clearly struggling to deal with whatever was going on.

He felt sadness and emotional pain through the bond. I’m doing an exercise with a new kid and he’s so hot and I keep thinking about wanting to ask him out, but that would mean going against our relationship.

So Kaminari didn’t know who he was. That makes... a lot of sense.

Choosing to make Kaminari suffer a little more, Hitoshi said, “Well, it’s nice you think I’m attractive.”

Kaminari looked as if he may die. “Did I say that out loud?”

“Maybe.”

Kaminari looked ready to die.

Letting loose a little laugh, Hitoshi went up and ran a hand to the curve of Kaminari’s jaw.

“Actually, no you didn’t. And I would love to go out on a date with you, Sparky.”

Kaminari’s face lit up as if he were using his quirk all over his face. Without any pause, the blonde leaped up and embraced his soulmate.

You know, we should probably introduce ourselves.

“Yeah, I wasn’t really giving any effort to learn the names of the opponents today.” Kaminari said sheepishly. “I am Kaminari Denki, also known as Sparky.”

Hitoshi smiled, They were on the walk to one of the most important fights of his school life, and all he could think of doing is getting to know his soulmate. “I’m Shinsou Hitoshi.” He took a look around to make sure no one was eavesdropping. “That’s actually a pseudonym. I’ll tell you my real family name later. For now, just call me Hitoshi or Sleepy.”

“Come on man,” called a redhead with ridiculously spiked hair. “Stop your socializing with this guy so we can make our plan.”

Kaminari glared at the redhead as Hitoshi said, “I’m sorry, but Denki and I were having an important conversation. I also didn’t catch your name.”

“Oh, I’m Kirishima Eijirou.” The redhead held out his hand for Hitoshi to shake.

Taking Kirishima’s hand, Hitoshi introduced himself. “Hello, I am Shinsou Hitoshi, but you most likely have heard of me under the name Sleepy.”

Now it was Kirishima’s turn to get excited, “That’s amazing Denks, and it’s nice to meet you, Shinsou. Welcome to the family.”

The family. Hitoshi has heard Kaminari describe something along those lines. It was a group that involved Denki, Kirishima Eijirou, a kid named Hanta and another called Mina. It also involved Kirishima’s soulmate, Bakugou, who had a similar bond of having everything the other says show up in their head. Kirishima describes it as always being on a phone call with someone.

The thee met up with the other two members of the team and worked on figuring out how to win.

Kirishima apparently is the only one in Denki’s class, other than Shouta, who knew that Denki had a soulmate who went to UA and he shared thoughts with. The little outburst that Denki made when the bond started had been covered by Denki saying that he had fallen asleep in class and had a vivid dream.

The fight was crazy, and while Hitoshi didn’t do as well as he would have liked, they won.

DUrning the rebuilding period between fights, Shouta requested to speak with Hitoshi in privacy.

I have to go talk with Easerhead. I’ll tell you when to come over.

Sure thing. From where he was standing, Denki gave Hitoshi a thumbs up.

Following his dad, Hitoshi went to a room a little bit away from the other students.

“What do you need, Dad?” Hitoshi leaned on the desk in the room as SHouta stood solemnly in the center of the room.

Slowly but surely a smile grew on SHoutas face. “You passed. Starting next semester you will officially be part of class 1-A. Great work.”

“You serious?” Hitoshi could hardly believe what he just heard. He got into UA’s hero course!

SHouta nodded, “You still have to work hard in the next round. It won’t matter if you win or lose, just do your best and make sure everyone understands why you have earned your place in my class.”

Hitoshi hugged his dad . “I will. Don’t you worry.” WHen he released Hitoshi said, “I need to go meet up with Denki now. I’ll see you in a bit!”

Meet me over by the fence on the opposite side of the viewing screen.

On my way.

By the fence stood Denki, looking a little nervous, but still as adorable as ever.

“Hey.” Hitoshi walked up to Denki slowly with a bit of a slouch that his Pa described as lazily powerful and terrifying.

Denki looked at Hitoshi as he fiddled with his choker. “Hey. You wanted to talk?”

Hitoshi bobbed his head a little. “I wanted to explain a bit about myself. Such as my family name and what comes with being my soulmate.”

The place was a little nippy, but not the end of the world. Denki did not seem to share that sentiment since he was shivering a good deal.

In an attempt to help his soulmate, Hitoshi opened his arms wide. It took only a few seconds for Denki to settle into the warmth of his former teammate.

“How about I start and you ask questions when I am finished” He felt Denki give a small nod into his shoulder. “I’ll start with my name, since that’s the most important piece that holds most of the answers you would ask. My name is Aizawa-Yamada Hitoshi.”

Denki raised his head up to look into Hitoshi’s eyes. His shock was painted across his face.

“I’m sure you must have figured it out, but I’ll tell you anyways. My dad is Aizawa-Yamada Shouta, Pro Hero Eraserhead. My pa is Aizawa- Yamada Hizashi, Pro Hero Present Mic. They both chose to publicly go under their birth family name and made me use my grandfather's first name. This is all to keep my parents and I safe.”

“I need you to keep this a secret.” Hitoshi said, looking down at his bewildered soulmate. “And yes, Dad and Pa had me with a surrogate when they turned 18.”

Holy shit.

“And yes, my dads are soulmates. They found out at their freshman sports festival.”

There was some cheering from the other students who were watching the next battle, meaning that it was time to go back to the crowd.

Any questions?

Why, out of all the people on Earth, did I get my teachers son as my soulmate?

The better question is why I got my dad’s craziest student as my soulmate. I think it was just an amazing coincidence.

I guess.

The two chose to stand near each other as they watched the battles happen.Neither knew what boundaries they had, so they choose to go slow. They stood about 15 cm apart and made comments on what they would they would have done differently.

They later watched in awe as Bakugou saved Jirou from an opponent's attack.

I was not expecting that.

I  was. He’s the kind that is perfection or nothing.

Then why were you so surprised?

I wasn’t expecting so much drama and pizzaz.

Denki let out a small laugh that he tried to cover his mouth.

Overtaken by the cuteness that made his stomach coil, Hitoshi checked to make sure no one was looking before he planted a kiss on the top of Denki’s head.

The shocked smile on Denki’s face made the day perfect. That and the fact that Denki froze in shock.

Soon it was time to walk to the waiting room before the fight began. Denki walked with Hitoshi over, hand-in-hand.

At the door, Hitoshi was pulled into a really strong hug. He was quick to return the gesture as he planted another kiss on Denki’s head.

“Look at the lesser of class 1-A trying to get sneak details from the superior class 1-B! And if it isn’t one of the 1-A failures.” an obnoxious blonde was standing closer to the boys than was respectable.

“I’m sorry, who are you?” Hitoshi asked to hide hiding his annoyance.

“I, gened child-”

Denki’s eyes went wide when he saw how Monoma foze.

“Go inside and never talk to my boyfriend like that again, or I will make you regret it.” The blonde walked into the room like a zombie.

Good Luck.

Thanks.

Hitoshi walked into the room and quickly got ready for the battle.

… They lost.

You did amazing! Denki must have sensed Hitoshi’s disappointment.

Yeah, and I guess it won’t really matter in the end. Hitoshi tried his best to sound down and depressed.

What makes you say that? Is something wrong?

Well, I kinda wasted a lot of energy.

What?

Hitoshi could see Denki’s face in the crowd as he made his way out of the training area.

“Great job, Shinsou! Can you tell me more about your quirk and support gear?” Midoriya asked coming from behind Hitoshi.

Trying to hide the fact that Midoriya near gave him a heart attack, he said, “I’m sorry, but there’s something I need to do.” Hitoshi thought at the same time, I just worked my ass off even though I was just told that I am officially going to be part of Class 2-A starting next year.

Denki met Hitoshi’s eyes and looked giddier than a kid in a candy store. The blonde took a few steps forward before full on dashing over to Hitoshi.

Even though he had no time to prepare, Hitoshi managed to catch Denki as he lept into his arms. Hitoshi spun the blonde for a second, savoring Denki’s infectious laugh. He then set Denki down.

When DEnki had both feet planted on the ground, he wrapped an arm around the back of Hitoshi’s neck and pulled him down into a kiss.

Denki didn’t stay on the ground for long since Hitoshi picked him back up so they could kiss for a little longer. The airborne one wrapped his legs around Hitoshi to keep himself sturdy.

Around them, some students started making wolf whistles and were congratulating them for… something. Probably them getting together.

When they got back down to earth and reality, the two paused to look each other in the eyes.

Do you want to introduce me to them?

Denki lead Hitoshi by the hand over towards their classmates. “Everyone, this is Shinsou Hitoshi, but I’m guessing that you already knew that. What I am guessing you don’t know is that this fine ,” Oh lord, Denki will be the death of him, “piece of man is my soulmate.”

Everyone went ape-shit. Two kids, who were introduced as Mina and Hanta, interrogated Hitoshi while everyone else took turns trying to ask the couple questions.

Should I be concerned about how invasive they are being?

Nah. They acted like this with Bakugou and Eijirou as well.

Even if this was normal, Hitoshi couldn’t stand it. He grabbed Denki’s arm and dragged him away at full speed.

“I’ll see you at home, Uncle Aizawa.” Hitoshi called towards his dad. A smallsmile on his face.

Denki slowed them down in front of Shouta to say, “Thank you for letting me date your child, Mr. Aizawa-Yamada.” Once he finished talking, Denki picked up the pace again.

Shouta rolled his eyes and let slip a small grin. As the mass of class 1-A students tried to catch up, Shouta threw his capture weapon and created a barrier between his son and his class. “See what happens when you all act like that? Your next lesson will be tact in interrogations.”

This pulled out groans from the curious class.

As soon as the two boys escaped the craziness that was their class, they slowed their pace to a comfortable walk. They were on the pathway that cut under the momentarily barren trees over to the entrance of the building.

“Want to explain to me what just happened?” asked Denki. He was panting slightly from running. “And can we stop in the boys locker room so I can change into my uniform?”

Hitoshi shrugged and indicated for denki to lead the way.

As they strolled over to the locker room, Hitoshi said, “I, like my father, am not a fan of large groups of people interrogating me.”

Denki paused to laugh. “Well good luck surviving Class 1-A then.”

“I’ll be fine.”

Not believing Hitoshi, Denki raised his eyebrow and questioned, “How do you know this?”

Because I’ll have you.

Boom. Denki’s face turned redder than a ripe tomato, which was adorable. “ Hitoshi ! You can’t just say things like that.”

“But I didn’t. But I will say that you are way cuter than anyone else on the earth right now.”

Denki playfully shoved his soulmate.

They both changed quickly once they reached the locker rooms and barely got out before the other boys came.

Once they got out the entrance, Hitoshi looked at his soulmate. The sun illuminated his hair and made it almost glow. There was a small grin on DEnki’s face that made Hitoshi’s heart .

Where to, love?

Surprise me.

Taking Hitoshi’s hand, Denki lead his soulmate off into the city. There was no plan for now, or any time, but it didn’t matter since no matter what,

They had each other.
