Work Text:

The Millennium capital: a pleasure palace constantly shrouded in deep vermillion sunset hues; it was truly a fantastical place– a daydream made reality.

As Sakura blossoms waltzed through the sweet and dreamy air, Tamamo walked along one of the many curved wooden bridges her city had on display. Having her beloved Husband by her side made the day the utmost in perfection.

If it wasn't for the crummy little Attack Program Hakuno had hugged to her chest.

'Where on SE.RA.PH did you find that antique monstrosity?!' Tamamo barked.

Hakuno, looking very pleased with herself answered, 'in the forests outside Rome.' She hummed happily as the Attack Program in her arms snapped its jaws...contentedly?

'I was helping Nero find this lion she was raving on about. Well when I say "help," I mean I was trying to find it so I could hide it before she found out. That's when I found this little guy– talk about a blast from the past!'

The Attack Program in question was an old enemy Program from the Arena in the days of the Holy Grail war. As Caster recalled, this "thing" in her Husband's arms was known as a "Carnivore" Program.

The dubious Priest overseeing the war had pitted Hakuno and Nero, against Tamamo and her wretched Master at the time, to outdo each other in a hunting competition. It truly was an ugly little thing, nothing more than rudimentary crocodile head, with pointed teeth, and complete with a dull and rusted aquamarine paint job.

'...It certainly brings back memories. But, my love, why do you carry such a violent thing around with you?'

Hakuno blushed and looked down, embarrassed. 'I was thinking about how I'd never had... a pet before...' She almost whispered the last part. The childish innocence Hakuno emitted was enough to send Tamamo into a daze. Truly her Master could not be more adorable!

'Aww! My Husband! You should have said so! I could have helped you find one for our "Love Nest!"

Hakuno smiled faintly; it was always embarrassing when Caster called their little apartment in the Capital their "Love Nest," particularly when nothing to deserve the name had ever actually happened. Although Tamamo would easily initiate that, if Hakuno slightly consented.

'Perhaps... you could help me come up with a name?' Hakuno offered.

Caster moved closer to the old Program, its jaws still slightly chomping out of habit. 'Hmm... I'd call it "Seimei."

Hakuno pouted. 'That's harsh.'

'It's got the shifty look, just like that Abe bastard– Seimei suits it to a "T"; though I suppose its unfortunate design is somewhat of a blessing.'

Hakuno set her new pet on the ground, and it bounced (or chomped) around her playfully.

'Hmm...what should I do with you...Seimei?' Hakuno tested the name. To her annoyance, it suited it well.

'Perhaps you should try playing fetch with it,' Caster said, and a tennis ball materialised into her hands.

Hakuno grabbed the ball. 'Oh... alright– boy, Fetch!' she lobbed it as far as she could. The Carnivore Program just looked up at her, or at least she thought it was...

'Oh right, it has no eyes... should have seen that coming.' Hakuno wasn't even going to wonder how the Program appeared as capable and menacing as it did back in the Holy Grail war.

Tamamo just linked her arm around her Husband's and snuggled closer. 'Oh well, it looks like it'll just follow you around. I have a feeling your other dog will fetch it for you anyway.'

'Huh? I have a dog?'

'Yes my Husband, you have quite the handsome dog- I sense him wondering around these parts.' Caster replied, and a devilish smirk spread across her face. 'You should try calling him. If he doesn't come, you're always welcome to scratch behind my ears!'

'Hah, I'd do that anyways!' Hakuno joked back. They continued their walk along the bridge painted with the romantic sunset.

Seimei, who was literally only a head, paced alongside them surprisingly well. Tamamo grinned '... Aww it's actually growing on me. Perhaps we should adopt it as our own child!'

'It's not a kid!' Hakuno exclaimed. But it made her think. Tamamo was always going on about being the perfect wife. Is it possible that–?

'Hey...do you want children, Tamamo?'

Caster placed one hand under her chin '...I don't know– it seemed like the right thing to say, given our relationship. But honestly I just want more than anything to devote myself to you wholly. Anything else might be seen as problematic.'

Hakuno scratched Tamamo's ears, 'you truly are the perfect wife Tamamo. I'm really glad you chose someone like me.'

She closed her eyes happily and leaned against her, 'I'm so glad you saved me. Your cool soul will always be my life, my love.'

'Yo! Did anyone drop a tennis ball?'

From behind them strode a man, his long, striking blue hair tamed and tied back. His skin tight full bodied armour defined his lean, muscular form. He held on to the ball Hakuno had thrown away, casually throwing it up and down.

'...For real?' Hakuno murmured, throwing a questioning glance towards Tamamo, who smirked mischievously in return. Hakuno sighed, 'you cheeky fox.'

Cu Chulainn handed his Master the ball.

'Good boy.'

Notes:

If I ever get a dog, I'm so calling him "Cu"¬ best boi for sure!

A few things:

Abe no Seimei was rumoured to be the man that led to Tamamo no Mae's downfall back in the Heian period. Apparently he was very handsome, but suspicious looking. At least...that's how I think it goes.

Also I based this on a few things from the Extella /Zero timeline– instead of Hakuno saving Rin or Rani, they saved Tamamo no Mae after they and Nero defeated her; apparently her Master had her sacrificed in order to escape deletion... what a D-bag.
