Work Text:
Kirie wasn’t the person to openly talk about her interests, so every time she did, it felt special. Sure, Umaru didn’t understand most of the stuff she talked about, but damn, she loved hearing her girlfriend gush about her new comic book, or like now, what different types of fish there are. The way she stuttered and randomly changed the speed of words coming out of her mouth, might have made it sometimes difficult to understand, but she didn’t care. It was something that made it special. Something that made Kirie, well, Kirie. \
Right now, the bluenette looked like a child, walking around and pointing at various water creatures, explaining something about each one of them. And Umaru was walking behind her, enjoying the warmth of the other girl’s hand, her deep, but also cute voice. All of that, plus the faint lights of the aquarium, made her feel safe, happy that they decided to go there.
Kirie stopped talking, looking at the fish tank, Umaru could swore she saw literal sparkles in her eyes.
- Kirie? – She nudged her girlfriend to get her attention.
- Is, is something wrong? – She turned around her head.
Umaru lowered her torso and softly kissed the bluenette on the lips.
- Nothing, really. Just wanted to say thank you.
Kirie stood there for a while, dumbfounded, trying to process what happened, just to become a blushing, stuttering mess. Umaru giggled, enjoying her mess of a girlfriend’s reaction.
