Summary
The Todoroki royal family of the kingdom of Zenia was known for a thorough lineage of alphas, with betas coming few and far between. And there has never, ever been an omega born to the Todoroki's. King Enji Todoroki planned to keep it that way, but he wanted more. He wanted a brood of all alpha children. To do that, he married what he despised - an omega. And thus, Rei Todoroki became queen, and birthed him three alpha children. Two princes and a princess, all of which held the trademark Todoroki birthmark (a mark that was shaped like a triangle, but looked like a burn) - indicating they were alphas. His wish was about to come true, as a fourth child was coming. A son, they knew, their final alpha prince.
But when Shoto Todoroki came into the world, they looked for the birthmark, searching his entire body, and it was not there. The King's dream was over, and his last son was a failure.
